10.8 on old mac

I'm reading several very complex possibilities on installing OS 10.8 on 'unsupported' machines.
Since I have an 'old' Mac Pro I would like that to happen without developer skills needed.
I put in a lot of money to buy, upgrade and keep this machine running, so if actually technicly possible why not make 10.8 run on a 2007 Mac Pro?
Any progress known by anyone?
Just to name one thing:
iCloud integration in iWorks(Pages) is now only possible in 10.8
Do I need a 2008 Mac Pro for that...? Ofcourse not!
Update Lion with some of that, guys, pleeeease (Bambi-eyes).

@hpr3 why can't they put some upgrade to 10.7 so functionality in iWorks is at a normal(read professional) level. Finding(you mean buying) a 10.8 Mac is not in balance with the lack of some full grown functions in costly software.
iCloud in Pages 10.7 is/was a jump in troubled water.
Now I need a new Mac? Come on. (don't take it personally hpr3, thanx for reacting)
