Just updated to 10.9.2 and my Epson Stylus Photo R2400 is not printing anymore.
It is connected via USB and worked flawlessly all the time before.
I get this message
What is going on here?

Ok, what I did is deleting the Printer from the System and installing it again.
Works again

I'm having the same problem with IDCS3 5.0.4 and an Epson Stylus PRO 3800 on Mac OS X 10.5.6 with version 6.11 of the Epson driver. I have a 17x17 document in InDesign that I am trying to print on 17x22 paper. The paper spools a little less than half-way down and the print begins, but it prints about 1/4 of the image--it is as if it cropped at 8.5x11 at the top right corner of the image.
I have had to resort to saving the file as a high-res jpeg and printing from Preview as a workaround. Unreal.

Epson R2400 not printing correctly!

Hi, I hope somebody can advise me, I have problems since installing leopard and can't solve them:
1. When I try to print a photograph from Photoshop CS3 using Leopard, the picture is almost colorless( if I print from CS3 using Tiger the colors are correct), The software options are also cut down and I cant access area's to set the print up for printing!
2 If I try to use my scanner as a photocopier using Vuescan the preview and scan appear to work as normal but when I click to print the article scanned the R2400 just pumps out a blank page (if I do the same using my older R200 the article prints as it should.
Has anyone any ideas as to whats happening? particularly regarding problem 1 above as thats more important than the vuescan issue?

10.3.9 does not print anymore , but command lp does !!

Hi to everybody,
im using a HP Laserjet with my Imac connected via ethernet and appletalk.
Since some days im not able to print anymore. If I try to print something with apples standard text-editor a requester is shown immediately saying "error while printing".
if i start a terminal, I can use the command lp -d printername mytxt.txt ( or some pdf) and it prints without any problems !
anyone for an idea?

I have SanDisk USB 4 Gb flash and was going to use it for exactly the thing as you do and ran into same problem. However somewhere I read that the flash drive can be reformatted (I think MSDOS) so it will be recognized on both PC and Mac. But since the prices of the flash drives dropped so much I just ran down to Staples and got another identical SanDisk flash and now use one for my PC and one for my Mac.

CS5, New IMac and Epson R2400 = terrible prints

Please can anyone help. I have a new I Mac running Mac OS X 10.6.4. I have just purchased CS5 and I have an Epson R2400. I cannot get a decent print despite spending hours trawling the internet for help and carrying out every suggestion under the sun. Please can someone help before I throw out the €3000 worth of kit that is worse than useless outside.

What does 'filter failure' mean when my epson will not print?

I recently responded to a Software Update for my Epson Stylus TX610FW Printer. It has crashed constantly since. It will print a Nozzle Check but whenever
I attempt to print a document in any Application the printer crashes.
I have replaced Mountain Lion 10.4.8, I have attempted to find Epson v.2.6 as the Forums suggest and can find it nowhere.
Is there any other way of reverting to my previour driver?

This has been addressed in another thread. Under system settings select sharing and enter a computer name, and exit. To be safe restart the computer and you should be able to print.

My Adobe products are not printing anymore,-

I'm using CS5 and my printer ist a Brother 2035. Since yesterday none of my adobe products print anymore.
My system is the mac lion 10.7.2. Everything is up to date.
I get no error message. It appears like the job was sent to the printer, but nothing happens.
The preview and text programs from apple are still functioning.
Did anyone have this problem before?

Reevep9735585 are you using the registered serial numbers listed at http://www.adobe.com/? You can find more details on how to locate your registered serial number at http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html.
If you are using your registered serial number then how did you reinstall the software? Also which operating system are you using?

After printing a few page Firfox will not print anymore

After opening Firefox and using the print function a few times the print function stops working but there is no alert to say it will not print.
The only way to get it to print again is to come out of Firefox & re-boot the PC and then open Firefox again

Can not print anymore after latest cups+libcups upgrade (2.0.2-3)

I have a Samsung ML-2165w usb printer, using it with the samsung-unified-driver package... it was working ok but today it just do not print anything, neither show any error...
It is like the print job is sent to nowhere... I print something and localhost:631 jobs tab is always empty...
I have tried to roll back, downgrade, to cups+licups previous versions 2.0.2-1 (restarting service + daemon-reload) but without luck, the same behavior!....
Where can I see the printer errorlog, or something else?
What to check?
BTW, the virtual pdf printer do not work too? there is no pdf made as usual...
it should be in /var/spool/cups-pdf/username, right?

Ohhhh, tried to print a test page, from the cups administration... and it was printed!
Then tried to print a text file and printed!
Then tried to print the page I needed in chromium instead firefox....... and it was printed!
The issue is present in firefox then?
Should I downgrade firefox-36.0.4-1?

I've uninstalled the software, reinstalled the latest drivers and software, and am still unable to print. The printer is listed as online and ready, but no printing.

I have a MacBook Air 11.6" running OSX 10.6.5 and cannot print to my Canon MF4350d attached to my AirPort Express, with printer sharing selected. HAve reinstalled software over and over agin. Turned printer off, unplugged, etc. No luck. Says it cannot find the software for the printer. The computer can "see" where my printer is located, but the printer will not print. Nothing seems to wrk. Any ideas what might be going on and how I can fix it? By the way, I was able to print directly to this printer connected to my computer's USB, but now even when I do this the same problem occurs. ALL ability to print seems to be GONE. COuld it be related to the recent upgrade to OSX 10.6.5?

My Macbook Pro won't recognise and/or detect my Epson WF-5320 Printer anymore.

I have a new Epson WF-3520 series printer that when first purchased and set up according to the guide connected perfectly with my Macbook Pro. Eventually, when I went to print a document, my Mac would tell me the printer was not connected. I had restored the printers default settings and had set up the printer as first purchased, which lead to it to work again. However, over time it decided not to connect again. Now when I attempt to install the printer's connection with my Macbook, it tells me connection failed. Whenever I go to Syste Preferences > Print & Scan > then click the "+" button to add my printer (as I have read this suggestion on other forums for this particular problem) my Macbook will not recognise any nearby printers at all. Are there any detailed step by step suggestions on how to fix this problem? It is very inconvenient as I need documents printed for university and I can't keep affording to print at public printing stations. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated, Thank you!
Also, I do not have a USB connection that could connect the printer and laptop together.. would this be an issue? As the printer is wireless.

I also have this problem. My MacBook alays has trouble recognizing HP printers and scanners and I allways have to restart programs and reboot the laptop in order to scan with HP scanners.
However with the C4480 it just does not work it doesn't seem to matter how many times I reboot.
HP Products suck on the Mac. And tech support doesn't seem to have any answers.

Lion OS and Epson printers not printing photos through Aperture or CS4

Hi everyone,
I have done a search on the above topic but nothing obvious is coming up as a solution (ie...sorry if it has been done before)
It's driving me mad.
I have 2 epson printers, R300 and Stylus 1400.
They were both performing perfectly well before installation of osx lion.
They will both print word and pages documents perfectly, they will also print from pdf and screen dump.....so they are mechanically ok, (paper loaded correctly, loads of ink etc etc ) now, here is the issue.....
When I try to print a photo from either CS4 or Aperture the information seems to send to the printer, the printer icon jumps up and down and the text for the jobs queue says 'printing'....the printer 'shunts' as if engaging to print, doesn't do anything else and tells me a second later that the status is 'completed'.....but it hasn't printed anything!!! aaaaargh
I have been to the epson website and downloaded the latest drivers....same outcome.
I have even been on the live assistance thing on the epson website, no help at all, assistant didn't seem all that competent.
Anyone have/had a similar problem.
Words of one syllable if there is a fix, I am savvy but not expert.

One more thing you could try, the problem re occurred for me on a different printer and I found the reason for the fault by accident, a longish story but stick with it:
I had set up an unusual custom paper size so that I could print off passport photos for a client....for reasons I don't quite understand (probably my own stupidity!) that paper size became the default size for that printer...very rarely used...so any time I tried to print anything on that printer that wasn't passport photo size...it behaved exactly like my previous issue, made all the right noises etc etc but didn't print.
To cut a long story short: On that particular printer, every time I print anything I have to go to 'Page Setup' and change it to an appropriate size (A4, 6x4, A5 etc etc...anything but UK passport size of 35mm x 45mm) before I hit the print button.
It may be worth checking that your printer hasn't somehow 'obtained' an odd page set up parameter somewhere/somehow.
If it isn't this I hope you find the problem soon, I know how infuriating it can be.
