    "Unable to Verify Update"

    Can anybody please respond

Try this and see if it resolves the issue.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
    Then try again.

  • Unable to verify update. iOs 8.0.1 failed verification because you are no longer connected to the internet.

I have updated my iPad, my wife's iPad, but both our iPhones (5S) and (5C), give the following error every time we try.
"Unable to verify update. iOs 8.0.1 failed verification because you are no longer connected to the internet."
We are obviously connected to the internet because the updated downloaded on all 4 devices, but the iPhones will not go the next step.
    Wifi ok
    Connection ok

Apple has pulled the iOS 8.0.1 update due to problems.
iOS 8.0.2 will be released in "the next few days".
Loss of cellular service or ability to use Touch ID after updating to iOS 8.0.1 on iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus
We have a workaround for you if you have an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus and you lost cellular service and Touch ID functionality today after updating to iOS 8.0.1. You can reinstall iOS 8 through iTunes by following the instructions below. We are also preparing iOS 8.0.2 with a fix for the issue, and will release it as soon as it's ready in the next few days.

Boy sure what you are doing but the current iOS level is 7.1 not 7.0.4.
    You cannot update to 7.0.4.

Unable to verify update iOS 7.0.2 failed verification  because you are no longer connected to Internet

I still haven't seen a solution to the problem "unable to verify update iOS 7.0.2 failed verification because you are no longer connected to internet"
I did not have my iPhone plugged in to power during download, had plenty of power.
Download burped once and restarted download.
I got to the Verification step and it failed multiple times.
I plugged in power, I turned off iPhone and restarted.
I tried to do the download again and it goes to the Verify step
and get the same error message.
I do not have an Apple PC, but, have a Windows 8 PC.
WIll iTunes help better manage the update?

  • Unable to verify update ios 8.0.1

my ipad can not verify with a message Unable to verify update.
ios 8.0.1 failed verification because you are no longer connected to the internet.
How can I fix this while internet is on, even I change to cellular data.

Here's a screenshot of my iPad's "Unable to Verify Update" error message.  Note above that, my status (below "iOS 8.0.1, Apple, Inc."  says, "Downloaded".
I'm wondering if anyone else who's getting the "Unable to Verify Update...because you are no longer connected to the Internet" has anything different that "Downloaded" status.
I'm also wondering if the bogus "no longer connected to Internet" was a stopgap measure by Apple to protect those who had downloaded, but not yet installed 8.0.1 from actually installing it.  If true, in the future, I'd like to see a more truthful error message, as my Internet connection was fine, as everyone else's who's posted.  Some message like, "the iOS 8.0.1 Update has been pulled. When a newer version is available, the App Store app will notify you in the Updates tab"  would be more Apple-esque.

  • HT4623 update process fails with the following message "Unable to Verify Update.  iOS 6.1 failed verification because you are no longer connected Internet."

my iphone 5 is connected to a wi-fi network and i'm able to browse the web and receive emails.  however when i try to update the software the process fails with the following message "Unable to Verify Update.  iOS 6.1 failed verification because you are no longer connected Internet." It gives an open to "Close" or "Try again", but the retry is also unsuccessful.

Try to connect to secure web site. If you can't, that would mean that your iphone is unable to authenticate itself to apple servers in order to download update. If you can - I would still guess same but with less certainty and suggest to update on another network.

  • IOS8.01 update fails. Stuck in "Unable to Verify Update" Mode

The iPad Mini reports that it is "Unable to Verify the Install" because I have lost my internet connection, but everything else on the device is working on the internet just fine. How can I cancel the install?
I have shutdown and restarted the device. I have changed networks. I have tried a wired connection to an iTunes host computer but iTunes reports that the iPad Mini is running iOS8 and there is no update available.

  • HT4623 Unable to verify update

Downloaded iOS 7 but phone won't verify update

Endless countless millions of people are trying to authenticate AFTER downloading the new IOS.
Download servers and Authentication / Activation servers are slammed right now.
    Give it some time.
    download servers VS. authentication servers
If you've downloaded but can yet activate, you can wait till later and Activate your Iphone (or Ipad also) without any worries
Iphones , Ipads, and Itunes are ALL being updated today, so server traffic is enormous.

  • Unable to verify update to 6.1

IPad keeps telling me that I am no longer connected to the Internet, this message proves that to be incorrect. I also am fail to load lots of web pages for the same reasons.  All of this has happen in the last week or so. And no, I have not changed anything regarding my wifi etc. any ideas?

Try to connect to secure web site. If you can't, that would mean that your iphone is unable to authenticate itself to apple servers in order to download update. If you can - I would still guess same but with less certainty and suggest to update on another network.

  • HT5642 why is ios 6.1 unable to verify update?

It says I am no longer connected to internet, but I am.

OK, it must have just been that the wrong update was shown on my iphone.  I have updated to ios 6.1.2 successfully.  If it worked, can I stop worrying that someone hacked my phone?
    Thanks, again.

  • Unable to verify update

I'm receiving this message on several iPads. I connect via several wi-fi networks for three iPads. After the download was complete I am receiving this message (above) plus a dialogue box that says "iOS 8.0.1 failed verification because you are no longer connected to the Internet." All three iPads have reconnected to the original wi-fi sources (and others) in an attempt to get past this. I have also test the safari browser by connected to several web pages and have downloaded or updated apps on each device to ensure connectivity. Please help.

in this recent thread I can't install ios 8.0.1 , our friend bobsuefert says:
"Be glad you can't install IOS 8.0.1 it's been withdrawn already. It caused more problems then it fixed."
What iOS version is actually showing when you check?
