100% dep for small assets

Hi All,
While going through the Depreciation Statement it is found that depreciation on small items (eligible for 100% Depreciation, covered under various Asset Classes ) is being calculated prorata on monthly basis.
As per the provisions of law, full depreciation at 100% should be charged irrespective of date of addition. How & where can i make the necessary correction,so that 100% depreciation is calculated in respect of small items eligible for 100% depreciation.

Hello
for the first query you need to check the period controls. As i under stood system should depreciate the total value of the asset with in the same acquisition year irrespective of period.
Please check the period controls for the depreciation key.
For your second query
You need to create the (MANU) manual depreciation key.
The same depreciation key need to be assigned to all the assets for which you want to post the deprectioan manually.
Tcode for posting the manual depreciaiton: ABMA
This is manual posting system should not object whether the amount of depreciation is increased or decreased.
Please check and update.

Dep for an asset

we have created an asset in march 2009 in one of our company code in 2009.For this company code dep was never run in 2008.We didnt close the fiscal year too.If i want to run deo now for the new asset in march then should i first close 2008 and can i run dep directly in march or from January i should start.

Thanks Paul.So we should post unplanned dep for march 09.Because the asset is capitalised on 01.03.2009 and dep start date is also same.All the asets in this company code dep starts from march.So there is no dep to be posted in Jan and feb.
We tried to post depreciation planned dep from Jan 2009 then system says :
You can post in new year after closing previous year.
Procedure -Post to the last period in the previous year fist.
fy 2008 is closed.And there is no asset in 2008 in this company code.How do i know post dep for my new asset with dep start date 1.03.2009

I've just bought a Macbook Pro 15" and I'm trying to use Photoshop, but the resolution its displaying the images at for 100% are too small. I have to design for the web, so need to be intricate with detail, but I'm finding it adjusts the resolution of the image right down. (I mean you can see the image clearly, but it's too small to edit). When I look at Safari and see a web page at 100% it's clear, but the same page displayed in Photoshop CC appears 50% of the size (even though it says it's 100%) If I move the application window to another screen it adjusts it correctly – leaving all the pallettes, menus and tools correctly sized as they are on the retina display Is there some way to adjust the way Photoshop CC displays images so it is more consistent with what you actually see? There doesn't seem to be any answer on the Adobe forum, so hopefully someone here can shed some light. MacBook Pro with Retina display, 15", OS X Yosemite (10.10.2), Photoshop CC 2014

I tested both ways. With "open in low resolution" ckecked the size of the images is cool, but it is low-resolution including Photoshop appearance.
If "open in low resolution" is unckecked the appearance is good but the very small size.
See the image below. It has 650 x 732 px, 72 dpi. The font of the text "Neste aniversário ..." is with 18pt.

Planned Dep not posted for retired assets

Hi ,
We are running the asset depreication everymonth end, and it was posting without any errors.
But suddenly we found that some assets which we retired have still not posted the balance depreication and it is still reflecting in Planned Depreication in AW01N for previous months.
Eg: Asset retired on 29th of a month. Depreciation was not posted for this 29 days. and this balance still lies in planned depreication even after the depreciation run.
When i try to do a repeat run it gives an error message,
depreication for Peirod...... already posted.
As we have already run the depreciation, kindly suggest what best can be done without affecting the depreciation which is posted for other assets which is correct.

Thanks for the update, i have got once more important information on this.
The problem lies only in one asset.
When they posted the depreiciation, in the actual run it gave a warning message that
" The posted depreciation and estimated depreciation are different" . But as the user was not aware regarding the Rerun and he has posted depreciation for subsequent periods.
And now it is not allowing to do a rerun for pervious periods.
Acq date :           9/11/2004
DOC       :           9/11/2004
Retirement date : 29/05/2007
useful life :          5yrs
Dep key LINR :     SLM from remaining life to book value zero.
Depreciation to the day is checked in the Dep Key
Exp useful life 2 years 161 days as on 31st march 2006
It was migrated on 1/4/2006 to SAP.
Points will be awarded.

Screen Layout for Dep Area in Assete master.

Hi,
I am trying to display the fields "Expired Useful Life & Expired life -Period" in Dep areas tab of assets master.
My screen layout is 1000 Dep on main asset level.
i have assign this to Dep area in OAYZ.
I made these 2 filed optional in screen layout,even though i am not able to see these fields in asset master.
When i tried to other fields , it got effected.
What is the reason behind this?
Please provide me the solution to display these fields in asset master.

Still i m not able to see it in master.
When i go to envirnment in aso2, it shows the screen layout rule with these fields as optional.
So i am not able to understand ,how to bring that fields?

How to stop Depreciation for some assets & start again.

Dear Friends,
We have a requirement where we have to stop Depreciation for some assets as they are not in use and again post depreciation when they put in use.
For ex: Asset Value is 10,000 and monthly Depreciation is 100. Asset has been depreciated for first 6 periods in year with 100 each in every month & we want to stop depreciation for coming 3 months and post depreciation when they put in use. Asset should not be depreciated when they are not in use and calculate regular 100 if we run depreciation again if we put in use. So total Depreciation of the asset for the year should be 900 (First 6 Months & last 3 months).
Please explain step by step process to do this and your kind cooperation to solve this issue is highly appreciated.

Go to AS03 Asset Master/Dep tab and observe the dep key
Goto AFAMA and select that dep key and click on assignment of calculation methods
You can see last row for shutdown field and select YES
Go to asset master at AS02/Time dependent data and select shutdown check box and enter period
If shutdown check box is not available goto as03 and goto menu environment-screen layout and master data and identify the screen layout number
Go to SPRO-Financial Accounting (New)-Asset Accounting-Master Data-Screen Layout-Define Screen Layout for Asset Master Data-Define Screen Layout for Asset Master Data-
Select your screen layout and click on logical field groups and select 3 (Time dependent data) and click on field group rules and make shutdown field as optional.
This will allow you to change the shutdownfield asset master data.

Recording transactions for an asset AS92

Hi,
I have an issue for the recording of transactions for takeovered asset.
First, I'm running a LSMW to take over all of my asset, after that I would like to run a second LSMW to update the asset with the different existing transactions : acquisition, retirement, transfers ...
I'm using (for the second LSMW) a batch input object 160, method 0001 with the program name : RAALTD01
Two structures are included on this program. As I previously read, I have to deal with the BALTB structure ... but what I'm doing with BALTD structure ?
an example :
asset number : 1000001 / 0000 (this asset is a takeovered asset), activ date the february, 1st 2009
company code : 0123
I would like to record this differents transactions :
acquisitions (code 100) of 1000 euros, the January, 1st 2009
acquisitions (code 100) of 1000 euros, the february, 1st 2009
retirements of 60, the february, 15th 2009
Where do I have to fill this data on the structure ? only BALTB ? or BALTB and BALTD ?

thank you for your answer.
I did try the Batch recording. But the problem is to manage when you have more of one transaction on your asset.
example : record a transaction on your first line of the tab.
SAP will record that : RALT_DYNP_STRUC-BZDAT(1) with the index 1 corresponding to the first line.
But what happen you're trying to record a second transaction ?
Sap will trigger an error message mentionning RALT_DYNP_STRUC-BZDAT(1) is not an input field (because the first line is filled of your first transaction)
I thougt to manage this issue by filling the last line of the tab. But a second issue came : when you're pressing to the enter button, the amount disappaer ! then you have to fill it once again.
In fact, It's not a big deal. But how do you know the index, the position of your new line with the empty amount ?
I was very surprised that SAP doesn't propose the "insert line" button !!

Depreciation for transfer asset

Hi Sap Guru,
I use ABUMN to transfer asset A (100%) to asset B.
And the APC value is 617.00 and accumulated depreciation is 37.02.
I use " percentage from useful life (0011) ".
but I find the system use APC amount to calculate the depreciation for the transfer year not including the adjustment value (37.02) ???
And therefore ,the monthly depreciation of asset B is not the same as that of asset A . why ???
Can we make the system calculate the depreciation for B according to APC and adjustment value ?

Hi,
we find the depreciation amount will recalculate based on the depreciation parameter in new asset .
Therefore , we make all depreciation parameter including depreciation key , useful life, depreciation start date etc in new asset the same as those in old asset.
And then , the depreciation amount will be the same.
You can use path Financial Accounting>Asset Accounting>Transaction>Intercompany Asset Transfers>Automatic Intercompany Asset Transfers>Define Transfer Variants>(Specify Transfer of Fields (for New Asset in Target CoCd))
to transfer the depreciaiton parameter to new asset.

Revaluate Depreciation for an asset in prior years

Hi,
I have a problem with a couple of assets. We are using 2 depreciation areas - one for statutory depreciation that is posted against GL accounts and one for fiscal purposes, which is only statistical.
For some assets the depreciation key in the alternative, fiscal depreciation area was wrong in last two fiscal years. Is it possible to reopen that old fiscal years and change the depreciation area to correct one and revaluate the depreciation only in that parallel depreciation area? If yes - which steps should i carry out in SAP? This depreciation area does not affect GL accounts posting - so I hope it is possible.

If it is IT dep then i can say it will be possible but if It is Book dep also then system will post the value in FI also in previous year when you do revaluation.

How to accout unplanned depreciation for group assets

Friends,
Unplanned depreciation is accounted for group assets few years ago.This is for special depreciation areas.
Now i would like to reverse this amount as write up unpalnned depreciation, but system is throwing eror message that: This function is not possible for group assets.
OR
The issue what we are facing is special dep areas has one cent as -ve acquisition due to which we are unable to deactivate the asset. This one cent was accounted as unplanned dep few years ago. How do we make the APC as zero when it has -ve APC in special dep areas.
pl, suggest how to go about this.

Hi,
This is not possible in the standard and this is not a from SAP intended and provided solution. Therefore I ask you to be really careful and test it bevore on a test system. (and perhaps to discuss this with your SAP consultant)
The workaround to remove the group asset from table ANLB-ANLGR from the asset could be done by creating your own program.

But you can't use img src or tag_small image in the display...

Well, jusing javascript appears to be a problem in that , if I use js the item pops up but is within the narrow table cell frame of the small item display and is clipped. And CSS hover class doesn't seem to work either, even with a high z-index. Not sure it is possible with the way BC works with catalogs..?   When I did get the js to work, it opens the large image of the last item on the page, not the one you hover over.
Anyone else get that feature to work?

How Do I have to Make Mesh for Small Structures in MWO?

I am using AWR Microwaveoffice in order to simulate the electromagnetics of nanomechanics. The unit length of the nanomachanics was 1um and the minimum dimension of the structure was about 15 um. I made mesh and simulated the circuit using the AXIEM solver. However, the result was absurd -- the linewidth of the S12 parameter was about 100 times larger than the experimental value. I found out that the mesh shape was odd; as shown FIG.1, the mesh was not reflecting the shape of the circle and the combs. Thus I think that the mesh settings were wrong. Could you please tell me how to make mesh for small structure in MWO? And also I don't know what the large rectangle in FIG.1 means.

Thanks to your replies, I succeeded to make the mesh as shown in the attached photo. However, I still have a problem; I cannnot find any dips in the resulting |S12| graph, which is suppoesed to have a sharp dip between 5 GHz and 15 GHz. I tried to figure out the reason but I couldn't. Could you help me plesase?

Im not sure what's the problem, but let's try to figure it out. First of all explain what do you mean by "it works very bad". Doest it hang, is it slow, is quality unacceptable.
Myself, I have one problem with JMF. When i run video & audio on my Centrino 1.4 GHz, it just takes 100% CPU! And of course quality becomes degraded. Check if you have something like this.
