100 % in JPEG Options

Hi,
I often export in jpg format. The standard setting is in the
jpeg-Options is 75%,
but I usually use 100%. I have to set it each time I start
Freehand mxa.
Is it possible to set it permanent to 100%?
Andy

Hi Mark, thanks for your reply but the images I'm working on are all shot with the same settings and exported out of iPhoto with the same settings before imported into Photoshop for editing. So they haven't yet been saved in Photoshop. My problem is when I save the file after editing, photoshop is automatically selecting 0 Jpeg image quality rather than 12, which is what it generally selects, except now on these few select images? It's all a bit bizarre because I have used this method for 4 years and now all of a sudden I am having this problem. I assumed I had hit a shortcut somewhere and adjusted the parameters unintentionally. It's rather hard to explain  but I hope that makes more sense. Thanks again to anyone who can help, I'm deseperate to get to the bottom of this....

  • Adobe Bridge (CS6) - bulk action - JPEG Options must be OKed for every image

    Hi all-
I created an action script for a watermark in Photoshop CS6. Then, I ran my script as a bulk action in Adobe Bridge (CS6) against my JPEGs. However, the JPEG Options dialog/window appears for every image in PS. Is there a way to have this automatically OK (and at the highest quality) so that I don't have to sit and click OK over and over?
I am on a Mac btw.
    Thanks!

  • How to set default JPEG options?

  • "JPEG Options" Box Problem--Help!

I am new to Lightroom and having a problem using the "Export Actions" function.  I am a wedding editor and I send thousands of files through the Bridge Photoshop>Image Processor every week.  Well now that I switched over to Lr, I am using the Export Actions function during exporting in order to run my Photoshop actions on the files.
Here's what I do: I export Tiff files and save them as a Jpeg, while also running an Export Action.  As a Bridge image processor action, this worked perfectly fine (ie Photoshop opened the files, ran the action, saved, and closed).  Now that I am running the action through Lr as an Export Action, Photoshop displays a "JPEG Options" save box for EACH file that you must click "OK" in order to go on to the next file.  Again, I run thousands of files and I cannot click "OK" on each one.
Why is this "JPEG Options" box suddenly appearing when it never used to?  How can I get Lr/Photoshop to run this action like normal (save and close without being prompted by me)?
Additional Infor: I have Lightroom 2 and Photoshop CS3.
When I create the droplets in Photoshop, I have "Override Action Open Commands" unchecked.
[See "Problem with a Scott Kelby Action" post below for someone who had the same exact problem]

Another thing you could do (although I'm sure you won't want to do it) is export TIFF images from Lightroom so that they include all of the Lightroom changes.  Then exit Lightroom and load those exported images into Bridge and run your action.
I like Lightroom, and I use it every day.  But occasionally I find that it's easier to just forget about it and do all of the work in Photoshop.  This is probably because I haven't taken the time to really become proficient with Lightroom, especially integrating it with Photoshop.  So I just take the easy way out when I'm forced to do so.

  • My Photoshop Elements 12 is downloading two copies of each photo and there is no Automatically Stack RAW AND JPEG Option in the Download Box.

My Photoshop Elements 12 is downloading two copies of each photo and there is no Automatically Stack RAW and JPEG Option in the Download Box.

    Anwesha,
    Yes.
I have clicked on it, selected “Stack” and all is now fine, with both versions of the photo readable by “unstacking”, using the side arrows !!
    Thanks for that.

  • Aperture 3 save PDF to folder as JPEG option missing from PDF services?

I have Aperture 3 downloaded from the App store in a MAC OSX 10.6.7 but the save PDF to folder as jPEG option is missing from the print menu? I do not have discs to re-install Aperture so can I add a workflow directly to the PDF services library and if so where can I get a copy of this workflow?

Hi frank, thanks for the advice, I am very new to Apple and Aperture. I think I am looking at the second print menu, I am basically trying to add text to a phot and have followed this online guide
    http://photo.rwboyer.com/2010/02/07/aperture-book-tool-screen-cast-take-two/
I can do everything except the last part which is save PDF to folder as JPEG. My version of aperture does not give me this option and I only have access to the following:
    Open PDF in preview
    Save as PDF
    Save as Post Script
    Mail PDF
    Save as PDF-X
    Save PDF to iPhoto
Save PDF to web receipts folder
    Pictures
    Edit Menu
There is no option to Save PDF to folder as JPEG and I cannot add this function from the Edit menu? Previous discussions suggest re-installing Aperture 3 but I downloaded this from the App store so do not have discs to reinstall?
    Thanks
    Mike

  • Save PDF to JPEG Options

Under the Print menu, for the Safve PDF to JPEG option, is there an option to save to a high quality JPEG?

The pixel size of the jpeg will depend on the paper size you selected - a larger paper size will give a larger pixel size of the resulting jpeg, but I don't think there is a quality slider anywhere.  When I export an image version with a jpeg original from the print dialog, the file size does not change much and I see no difference in quality, so I assume the quality will be high by default.
I like to use this export settings:
Print > Pdf > Save PDF to Aperture
and in the "Import" panel select "Jpeg".
For example: exporting a file with the paper size set to A4, will result in a jpeg with a pixelsize 2338 × 1652 (3,9 MP), exporting to a custom size 40x60 cm gives a jpeg with 3150 × 4725 (14,9 MP).

  • JPEG Option Disappeared from Save As

In the middle of scanning old photos into Photoshop Elements and saving them as JPEG, suddenly the JPEG option was no longer in the Save As Format dropdown. How can I get it back?

Do you have a convert to 8-bits option in Image / Mode or not?  If not then it already is 8-bits.
Maybe grayscale images need converted to sRGB color images, first, something else you can do in the Image / Mode menu.

  • JPEG option double action :/

Hello how nice to be back here to ask a question.
Thank you all for taking the time in advance to look at my question.
When saving a file and or "Save as Copy" , we get a popup box to choose the location of our file.
After doing this we get "JPEG Option"
My question is about this JPEG Option. I wish to know if I can default this setting so it won't pop up evertime I save a file.
I've been using Photoshop for about 10 years now and I never realized how I get to perform 2 action rather then 1 when saving a file.
I wish I could default the JPEG options , because I always leave it on the same settings anyway.
    Thank you for listening

Sorry, but how does one know?  At the top of the page it says, "All Communities > Photoshop Elements > Discussions"  I'm pretty new here.

  • Is there anyway to suppress or disable the save as jpeg options dialog box on individiual images/pic

Is there anyway to suppress or disable the save as jpeg options dialog box on individiual images/pictures?

UI dialogs are an application setting, not a file property. Selectively suppressing them on a per-file basis is not possible, but you can of course create an action and suppress the dialogs...

  • PSE4.  Save as/JPEG Options/Quality.  Can I select a default=12?

    XP Pro, 3GB RAM
Due solely to carelessness, I have several times overwritten a JPG file of high resolution with one of low resolution, using the JPEG Options dialog window. This has happened when the setting is 3 on the scale of 0 to 12, but I did not select the "3" setting. Something in the PSE4 logic must set it, I presume. When I am closing a batch of images, and it is preset to 3, I manually set it to 12, and for several successive files, some logic resets it back to 3. After several close/save instances, the logic seems to get it that I want 12, and it quits resetting it to 3. (Now retired, I have decades of experience as a professional computer programmer, so I know that there must be some code that sets the quality to 3.)
I have often been able to recover from my overlooking the quality = 3 setting, by rescanning, reloading from my camera memory card, etc., but sometimes it is too late. I want to be able to set a "preference" for the quality to be 12, all the time, obviously with the option to reduce it when I want. Does this functionality exist in PSE4?

    > I want to be able to set a "preference" for the quality to be 12, all the

I don't think so. PSE warns you though, when overwriting a file. That may
    be a good opportunity to reset the quality. Which brings up another point;
the original image file should really not be overwritten, but kept like a
"negative", so one can go back to it if an accident like you described
    happens.

  • Resolution Issues in Jpeg Options when Saving

Hi, I am suddenly experiencing an issue when saving Jpeg files in photoshop CS4. I work on hundreds of files at a time. I open the Jpeg photo, edit it and when ready hit 'save' and 'return' to accept the settings which are usually set by default to 12. But recently Photoshop is randomly selecting a lower compression in the Jpeg options when saving. It is only on a few random images though. If I open the original, re-edit the image and save it again, then it usually saves at 12 on the second attempt which is even more strange... Can I lock the settings to by default save all files at level 12 to avoid having to re-edit the shots I happen to miss spotting the change in compression on?
And doesn anyone know what would prompt photoshop to suddenly save certain images in a lower res automatically? I am wasting hours re-editing and double checking files which is very frustrating. Please help!!
Thank you in advance for any asdvice.

  • PSE7 - Can the 'JPEG Options' window be disabled?

    I'm running PSE7.
When doing a save of a JPEG file I always get the JPEG Options window where
I can set the compression level, etc. Once I have that set like I want it, is
there a way that I can stop that window from popping up until I make
    some change to re-enable it?
    Thanks!

Unfortunately, PSE doesn't provide any way of setting those defaults.  I use a program Quick Macros 2 to record a sequence of keystrokes (a "keyboard macro"), which I can invoke using a single function key.  For example, I have a macro that changes the bit depth from 16 to 8 and then saves as a JPEG.

  • Where did the .jpeg option go when saving?

I used to be able to save a .cr2 file that I had edited in the .jpeg format.  For some reason that is no longer offered as an option in the drop down menu  when I use 'save as'.  Where did the .jpeg option go?

It's not there because the CR2 image is using 16-bit color.
    Either:
Change the bit depth in Camera RAW to 8-bit before opening it in the Editor.
In the Editor, use Image...Mode...8 bits/channel.
