1000 contacts but only 67 sync to Outlook HELP!!!
I need all 1000 contacts on my Torch to go to Outlook. How do i get all of them to move over?
could be a corrupt contact, if outlook is up to date follow the below
In outlook Make a new folder for contacts called backup
move all contacts to the folder and wait for all to be removed from device during sync
then pull battery on device and put back in
After device boots move contacts from backup to the contacts folder and wait for them all to appear
Make a new contact in outlook and see if it gets to the device.

Ever since I got the iphone 5 my phone/icloud calender and contacts will not remain synced with Outlook. I am constantly having to sign in and sign out and unlink and re link to Outlook. this creates multiple categories of contacts and calenders and I have no idea which is syncing with my phone, ipad, outlook. Sounds like the Outlook plugin isn't working properly. You could try a couple of things:
Go to Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs, uninstall iCloud, the download and install the iCloud contol panel for Windows again from here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1455. Then sign back into your iCloud account and check your syncing settings again.
Uninstall iTunes and all of its components as by following this guide exactly: Windows XP or Windows Vista/7, then reinstall iTunes. You must follow this guide exactly or it will not be successful. (Uninstalling iTunes will only remove the application; it will not touch your iTunes library or data.) This will replace the Outlook plugin.
Then try your calendar again and see if it will sync properly now. -
I want to send a Photo book to Belgium but I can't change the Country (now is Italy) in the shipping contacts but only the address (name, street, city) and there is Italy fix. How can I do ? Can I send from my country a photobook in another country?
You can change the Print Store location from iTaly to Belium in iPhoto's Advanced preference pane:
Then try to order. HOWEVER, you still may not be able to order. Over here in the States the shipping address must be in the same country as the billing address of the credit card used. It may be the same way over in Europe.

If the backup you're trying to restore from is encrypted, you will not be able to use that backup if you can't remember the encrypted backup passcode.
If on a Mac, & you elected to save the passcode to your Keychain, you can recover the passcode from your Keychain. Otherwise, your backup data is unrecoverable.
While you can continue to sync/backup, if you can't remember it & want to remove it, you'll have to delete your existing backups, & restore your phone as a new device.
You delete your existing backups here: iTunes>Preferences>Devices. -
They say my iCloud is full. My computer says 22 G out of 25G available. Have tried making contact but it's the most unhelpful help system imaginable. Is this the only way to contact the people who sell this stuff. Have tried phone. Doesn't work.
iCloud can be used in two ways.
The first is a central storage location for documents and data used by apps/applications, that enabled you to open that app/application on any device and see and work with your documents regardless of which device you are working on. A simple example would be to start a pages document on your Mac and then complete it on your iPad, without any copying, moving, uploading, searching through filing systems to make this happen.
The second use is for back ups of your mobile device, which can be used to restore those devices should the need rise for whatever reason.
The concept is all quite simple really, although it can become a little more difficult to understand where things might be going wrong if you find yourself in such a situation. -
I just got the iPhone 5S. I am able to RECEIVE air drops from people, but I can't send anything via Air Drop. I doesn't seem to be communicating with others. I have Air Drop to communicate with my contacts, but it isn't working. Help!

As a first step, open Disk Utility > select your hard drive > repair disk permissions.

Contacts and calendar dont sync with outlook 2013 (win8) - working with IPhone 5S and Ipad air
Dear all,
i just moved to a new PC (former: Sony Vaio pro with win 7 pro, outlook 10 > new: sony vaio duo with win 8, outlook 13 from office 365 home). i used to sync outlook contacts and calendars with blackberry and iphone and ipad on my old notebook using desktop manager from blackberry.
Now with my new PC, ipad and iphone are still working fine and they sync with outlook: new entries on outlook calendar and new contacts are added to my mobile and vice versa but when i connect my Blackberry Bold i don get any of the updates.
i confirm that i am using the latest version of the desktop manager 7.0.
my desktop manager organizer is set up to sync both ways for both calendar and contacts
Any idea please?

Exhcange syncs with iPhone but won't sync with outlook at home
After hours of trying to get my iphone to sync with the exchange servers at work I have got it to work.
Now I am trying to setup my home computer to also be able to sync with my work exchange server. I can't seem to get it to work, I do the obvious (enter server info and user name) but it wont work.
In the iPhone I have the following information -
Email - username.lasm.company.com
Server - lasm.company.com
Usernme - domain\username
Password - password
Use SSL is enabled
In outlook I have
Server - lasm.company.com
username - username
but I can't get it to work.
If it helps, to access the company website it is just company.com and to access web email it is lasm.company.com/exchange but lasm.company.com will just forward you to the exchange website also.
PLEASE HELPYes, this is how my exchange works. I can get my Exchange account fine using ActiveSync via an iPhone. I can access Outlook via the web on my iPhone or a Desktop PC using a web browser.
If you are entering the same settings in Outlook on your home PC as they are set on your work PC and you can't connect to the Exchange server at home it's because your work won't allow a connection from outside their network.
Ideally, you need to contact your IT department as they should be able to tell you if can configure Outlook on your home PC to connect to their Exchange server or not. However, if they won't allow it then then there is not a lot you can do.
Windows Mobile devices that run ActiveSync also sync with Outlook. Because of this you get a sync'ed version of your Exchange account on your home PC via your Windows Mobile device. At the moment iPhone/iTunes does not do this. There have been a few comments on these forums about the omission of this functionality so please use http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html and feedback to Apple if you require this. If you have a MobileMe account you can get around this problem as you can sync from Exchange > MobileMe > Outlook, but MobileMe is a subscription service. -

When I add a contact to my iPhone 4s it does not sync to my Gmail contacts but if I add a contact directly through my Gmail account it syncs automatically. How can I make it sync both ways?
Hmmmm....But even when I do that, the two playlists go into the general music file and mix together. So I don't understand the point of a playlist if it all just gets thrown into the general mix. Seems like if you create a playlist, it should be separate--otherwise, what's the point? Or maybe I'm missing the point. Sigh...

Devices ATV Listed, but Only Summary & Sync Tabs
Hi, I have all my music/movies on my Apple TV from several months back.
The ATV functions properly from the ATV.
Now iTunes DEVICES lists my ATV, but only Summary and Photo tabs are shown.
Cancel and Apply are grayed out.
When I control-click on the TV under devices in iTunes is just reads "Turn Off Streaming".
iTunes Preferences SHARING has "Share entire library" checked.
tv< Settings> Computers does not show a 'connect to iTunes' option.
It does show my correct Name Library with a locked icon, and another same Name Library live below "Add Shared iTunes Library".
tv< Settings> Computers> Add Shared iTunes Library> "Connect to iTunes" option gives me five numbers to enter in iTunes which I've done twice now, but ATV still only shows only Summary and Photo tabs.
The lower Name Library when selected says "Connected to iTunes" with unclear notes.
*What am I missing - how to* get this ATV communicating with iTunes again (so I can update ATV with new songs)?

I have over 120gb of video/music on it so I would rather not have to reset the ATV and re upload everything.
All updaters have been ran...I called 800 MY APPLE again and talked to another support specialist.
This time I had connected via Ethernet hard wire and de-reauthorized the iTunes from the Mac.
He put me on hold for 5 minutes and came and said his source told him to troubleshoot my wireless.
I again told him:
The wireless Airport Extreme takes my Apple TV out for Apple Updates, views Apple movie trailers off apple.com, views YouTube.com, and lists my ATV in iTunes> Devices if added as a streaming library OKAY.
Regardless, I added, I am connected by Ethernet cable now -- all the above works through the Ethernet cable, too -- so HOW is it a wireless issue that my ATV is not showing under Devices?
He agreed the wireless theory made no sense, but said that what he was told.
I suggested one of the recent updates (2.02, 10.53, 7.62) broke my ATV because it was working fine a couple weeks ago.
But, okay with wasting another minute on this...I did a Factory Restore on the AppleTV and it began working perfectly, of course that erased all my music/video.
I spent the next 10 hours or so uploading my 120GB of music/video...

Factory Restore reinstalls 1.0 (I had to update again to 2.0.2).
Apple spec said the ATV is 10/100 Ethernet speed over the cable (but it seems a lot slower uploading my iTunes library). -
.vcf contains multiple contacts, but only first contact appears on nano?
Hi- love my nano, but am having trouble getting contact info into it.
I use Palm Desktop (not Outlook) for Windows (that won't get me shot here, I hope!) and exported multiple (about 30) of my Palm contacts in one .vcf file (version 2.1), but when I copy said .vcf file into my nano\contacts folder (treating it as a hard disk) and pull up Contacts on the nano, the device only displays the first contact in the file, not all contacts.
While I didn't find any threads here about this specific issue, I did see some old threads elsewhere about importing multiple-vs-single-contact .vcf files, but they seemed to pertain to the 3G/4G iPod, not the nano.
Is it possible that the nano can just handle single-contact .vcf files?
At the risk of repeating myself, the issue is not the exporting -- I can open the .vcf file in a text editor and see that all contacts are contained therein -- it's in getting the nano to display all of the contacts listed in the file, not just the first one.
I apologize in advance if I've breached any posting etiquette. I'm a quick learner, so a slap to the wrist should be sufficient.

How Do I Keep My Contacts, But Prevent Automatic Sync With Yahoo!?
I never had this issue with my 3GS, but my Contacts is being overrun/cluttered with email addresses of everyone I have ever sent or received an email to or from. Most of these are just casual email addresses of someone I've corresponded with for a day or two to do some business on Craigslist, ebay, whatever, and have no intention of corresponding with in the future.
It is such a pain to manually remove these addresses. If I turn off the feature in Settings, I lose everything, including the ones I have manually entered!
It might be a little better if I could link an automatically sync'ed email address with an existing phone contact, so I don't have to do that manually, but the bottom line is that I would like to stop the automatic syncing of Yahoo! email addresses, without losing the ones I have entered myself.
