1080 50p live with sound - have no sound in PP 5.5

Filmed a clips with Pany AG - AF101 - 1080 50p live with sound (not a slow motion) ..... when i put clip on time line i dont get sound - i dont even get a separate sound line like if there is no sound at all.
but when video is played inside camcorder - there is sound.
also i tried that file in my other soft - Corel Video Studio X4 pro - and there is sound - plays it no problem
so why no sound in PP 5.5? what i do wrong ? plz help!

I have downloaded the free trial of Pro CS5 and am attempting to edit my 1080/50p recordings. To start with, the sound does not exist in the editor whereas it does when you view in any other program and secondly there is no 1080/50p setting with a 1.0 pixel ratio. HELP!

First off your operating system version is obsolete and not being updated for security issues from Apple.
OS X 10.4/10.5 need to upgrade, 10.6.8 ok still
So at least you need to upgrade to 10.6.8, and that will make your machine secure again.
However if you decide to upgrade further to 10.7 or 10.8, be forewarned your PPC based software of old is not going to work any longer. and your machine may require more RAM.

I checked out the z-5500, apprantly the optical out shouldn't be a problem, however the surround sound decoding is a problem as the Mac doesn't do it, just passes it through for decoding on a receiver via the optical out port if your Mac has one.
Use the free MacTracker to find out or when you upgrade OS X, there is a option in the System Preferences > Sound.

The Sound Blaster Live 24 bit doesn't do Dolby 5.1 according to Wikipedia. More info on it is here.

If it's able to accept optical toslink cable from the Mac's toslink stereo mini port (if it has optical output) and then send that to the z-5500 via the analog speakers, then you should be fine.
I'm afraid you'll have to do some more digging to get it to work.
The only surround sound your going to get is by playing DVD movies that have it, then it can't have Dolby 5.1 as the Live 24 bit can't decode it.
So do your research on what surround sound formats the Live 24 can decode, then compare your DVD collection for those movies that have it, then get it all connected and enable it on the movie preferences at the menu.

Some progess I see. To be honest, i would not waste your time with trying to connect using wireless.
You are likely to get poor connections and dropping out.
If its working using a cable, then there is no need to bother with giving me the network settings, bu see how it goes, because sometimes giving the TV a static IP address can give better results.
There is an example of a couple of powerline adapters on the diagram below. Just ignore the network switch unless you want to connect other devices which are near to the TV.

,Issue with Sound Blaster Li've! 24-bit driverw Hello, I have a 2004 Dell Dimension DIM900 and a couple months ago it began making a loud crackling noise sporadically. It sounds like real ear-piercing static, like when a microphone is being plugged in, only in short random bursts at alternating pitches so I originally thought my speakers were blown. I turned them off and decided to use a headphone set only to hear the same annoying sound.
I looked in the sound settings and read that I have a Sound Blaster 24-bit internal driver in my system, assuming that information is correct.
What can I do? I did the search and read the read on those X-Fi drivers that had a similar problem, but I didn't know if that was the same as this because the thread concluded that their problem was exclusi've to systems with Nvidia dual SLI graphic configurations and X-Fi drivers. ? Any input would be appreciated, thanks!
