1080i25p - any known problems in FCP 5 or 6?

Hey all,
I'm going to be shooting 1080i25p on a Panasonic HPX171E.
The project should finish up by being projected or shown on a monitor/ TV playing from a Blu-ray HD dvd.
Can anyone tell me if there are any known problems or difficulties editing 1080i25p in Final Cut 5 or 6?
Is it better in anyway to shoot 1080i50i? Does this avoid any issues by cutting out the progressive conversion?
Many thanks,
Richard

25p is not supported in FCP 5...only FCP 6. Well, FCP 5.1 too, but FCP 6 is the better one to use.

Is there any known problem using Oracle SQL Developer 3.0.04 with Java 1.7?
I have already downloaded Java 1.6 but don't know whether I need to uninstall Java 1.7 first. If don't need to uninstall Java 1.7, how can I set Oracle SQL Developer to run with Java 1.6?
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi,
One prior post discussing the use of Java 7 is:
SQL Developer 3.0  and Java SE 7?
There is no need to uninstall any Java version (except if you have disk space constraints) and no problem switching between Java versions. This may be controlled in the sqldeveloper.conf file in your ...\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\bin directory via the SetJavaHome line. For example:
    #SetJavaHome ../../jdk
    SetJavaHome C:/Program Files/Java/jdk1.6.0_26
    #SetJavaHome C:/Program Files/Java/jdk1.7.0Regards,

  • Updating eMac from 10.4.0 to 10.4.10: any known problems

We bought my wife a late-generation eMac from the Apple refurb site about 18 months ago. that came with Tiger 10.4.0. Because it's been so stable (we can't remember a single failure) and my wife is nearly always using her computer, I never applied the OS updates.
Now she's traveling for two weeks and I'm retired, so I'm considering taking her Tiger installation to the top (we'll wait to see if Leopard in in the budget)
I know with some older version of OSX, there was a order issue with SW Updates. Example: some Beige G3s had problems if the 10.2.8 Combo Update was run on a system with the base install (10.2.3). They needed "stepping in" (base > 10.2.4 > 10.2.6 Combo > 10.2.8 Combo) to work properly.
I know to run Repair permissions before and after any SW update. Any known problems with taking a late eMac all the way with the 10.4.10 Combo updater? I'd hate from her to home home to a problematic computer!
As the computer in my equipment line below is not hers, here are the particulars for her computer:
    eMac ATI graphics 1.42G—512MB RAM—80G HD—combo drive—10.4.zero
    Thanks in advance,
    Allan

I recently updated my eMac from Panther (10.3.x) to Tiger and let it go ahead and update by downloading the 10.4.10 patch from Apple. It has been some weeks now and so far no issues to report. So it seems ok. And my eMac is a version before yours.

I Was going to buy corsair 1600Mhz as the board supports that speed without overclocking does it not?
Quote from: snadge on 25-June-11, 23:51:08
yeah ive been told something similar eslewhere (sandyBridge only supports up to 1333) - but wont they run at 1333mhz anyway? if thats the max the chipset allows? MSI should put (OC) next too speeds above 1333Mhz so users are aware..
I think we will just be getting 1333Mhz then

  • Any known problems with FCE-HD and "Capture Now"  or edits

    I've been working with FCE for almost two years now. I've had the same problem ever since-- The SPINNING PINWHEEL OF DEATH when: playing back edited video from the timeline and the playhead passes over various edit points, usually cuts. Is it a CAPTURE problem, or camcorder RECORD problem, or something else? I use a SONY DCR-TRV38 with firewire; FCE-HD;
Any thoughts on why I get this problem so often, and what I can do to avoid it in the future? should I just switch to Avid or Premier??
    Thanks for any help...
    Shawn

    Hi Shawn.
I don't think there is a "known problem".
I assume your HDs are not more than 75% full or fragmented?
If you have not already done them, try the old chestnuts of Trashing the Preferences and Re-installing FCE.
    1. Make sure you trash all 3 of the Preference Files as detailed in this article:-
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93690
    2. If that does not work then re-install FCE but make sure you delete all the old FCE files first as shown in this link:-
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301182
    Good luck.
    Ian.
PS. When you write in with a problem, remember to give all possible APPROPRIATE details eg.
Computer model and external Hard Drive.
    Operating System.
    FCE version.
    Camera type.
Did the problem suddenly occur or has it NEVER worked?
Have you recently loaded new Software or Upgraded ANY programs, Operating Systems etc.
Have you moved or altered your source files?
Have you captured the clips from a DV camera or an A/D Converter etc.?
Is it Standard or High Definition Video?
What type of files are you using?
Also include details of exactly what you were doing before the problem occurred.
Is your film hours long and filled with numerous transitions and effects etc.?
THIS IS A GENERAL LIST. SOME OF THEM WILL NOT APPLY TO YOU.

  • Any known problems with "Xtreme Game Fatal1ty Professional Series" and Nforc

    Hello,
i plan to replace my audigy2 with a
    "Xtreme Game Fatalty Professional Series".
There are known problems with the card itself and with the Nforce2 chipset?
    My board:
    MSI K7N2 Delta-L (nForce 2 Ultra400 chipset)
    thanks

If you are up for the battle that MIGHT transpire with either one of these cards then your welcome to it. EAX will work on games that nati'vely support EAX and the openAL API. Games that are direct sound only will require the ALchemy program to make them work correctly. You can find a list of openAL nati've games on the openAL site...sorry don't have a link for you right now but google it. You might be able to find the list of Direct SOund games that ALchemy works on by going to the ALchemy site as well.
For the most part, stuff is working but I would highly advise you do more research before purchasing any sound cards from Creative. Just check the forums and look under the Vista posts as well as here to get a taste of the issues many are having.

  • Any known problem to support HD.323

Hi, I have a client reported that when he was using HD.323, he found pkt loss about 8%. The network is consisted of cat6500 and cat3750, all of interface are 1G. The throughput for the application is about 2Mps.
IOS version for 6500 is 12.2(33)SXH5.
IOS version for 3750 is 12.2(25)SEE3,
I am wondering there is any known issue related to support HD323 for these network switches/routers?
How can we verify the throughput and prove or disprove it is the network issue?
I have CiscoWorks LMS 3.2 installed.
    Thanks for help in advance.

To disprove a network issue, do "clear counters", begin application, show to user that all packets have been transmitted, counters do match, and there are no drops and no errors throughout the entire path.

  • Matrox Millenium P650 and MSI K8N Neo 2. Any known problems?

I got myself the incredibly cool Zalman TNN 500AF, with an Asus motherboard A8V Deluxe, AMD athlon 64 3500, 90 nm, 2 x 512 Samsung PC3200 and XP SP2, and alas the system cannot be worked with the P650 and the Asus motherboard; we have tried the latest BIOS for both graphic card and motherboard.
A friend of mine will buy the ASUS motherboard and I plan to buy an MSI K8N Neo 2 and wonder if you have experienced any problems with the particular Matrox card P650 and the MSI board. Do you know about any compatibility problems? I do not want to go through the rather compicated installing of yet another dysfunctional system.
Thank you in advance! If you like images, I share some here: www.vivotopia.org/worldcitizens (it is mainly people from all over the world)

  • Any known problems with 2.6.32.5 kernel, xorg 1.7.3.902 and nvidia 190

    Hi everybody.
Last update I did was when xorg 1.7.x (where x is between 1 and 3, dont remember), and it broke my xorg, I had some glitches with graphics, and x randomly crashed.
Now xorg 1.7.3, kernel 2.6.32.5 and nvidia 190.53 is here for pretty long time and as arch suer I feel committed to update
So i read the forum here a bit, and havent found any particular issues that broke the system, but I want to be safe.
I got nvidia geforce 6600 agp if it does matter.
So is there any particular issues that can arise after updating?
    Thanks a lot!

Similar problem here, after updating xorg and nvidia driver the system freezes with nvidia logo on display and caps lock and scroll lock leds blinking.
    I got nvidia geforce 7300.
Any solution to this besides downgrading?

  • ECC 6.0 - Non-Unicode and BI 7.0 - Unicode any known problems?

We are determing whether or not to do a unicode conversion during our upgrade from BW 3.5 to BI 7.0.  Our R/3 system is non-unicode and my company does not utilize languages other than English and is not expected to at any time in the near future.  This being said we are trying to determine whether or not we should go ahead and do the conversion prior to being forced to by SAP at some point in the future.  I was just hoping I could get some insight into whether there were known issues with running the two versions in conjuction with each other.
    Thanks in advance,
    John

We have a customer running this scenario, it should be possible to do so. Just keep in mind to do extensive testing as there might be some notes which are not yet in standard ...

  • Any known problems: MSI K8N SLI Platinum + seagate 7200.9 sata2 hdd?

    Hi all.
I planning to buy Seagate sataII 7200.9 250GB drive (model: ST3250824AS) very soon (finally they are in stock in my city), but first i want to know is there any incompatibility issues or other problems with such combination - MSI K8N SLI Platinum + seagate 7200.9 series hdd.
I don't have any experience with sata2 drives yet. Currently i'm using seagate 7200.7 120GB IDE hdd.
I don't plan use RAID or use that new 7200.9 drive in combination with current 7200.7 drive (will use current hdd in other pc).
    Any tips/experience would be great.

Seagate SATA II 7200.9 250GB drive (model: ST3250824AS) has both 3 G/bps speed and NCQ (Native Command Queuing) most all MB’s with the nVidia Chipsets using the nForce4 chip will have problems.  If they are not using RAID and you reduce the speed to 1.5 G/bps with a single drive you maybe able to get it to work.  Personally, I know the MS-7125 and MS-7220 both will not run RAID with those to motherboards.
I have been battling with MSI and ASUS over this problem sense November and they have not come up with a fix.  Problem involved BIOS and RAID Controller Driver for the chipset.  Most MSI motherboards latest BIOS have fixed the BIOS half of the problem.  There is an unreleased 32-bit driver for Windows, but nothing for Windows XP 64.

  • Any known problems with Corsair XMS3 1333 3x2Gb in X58 Platinum SLI?

I am noticing that the recommended memory PDF is very old, and most of those RAMs are not sold anymore. I had some XMS DDR400 and it was solid, easy to work with... So I'm planning on getting some XMS3 for my next build. Can anyone tell me if I'd have any problems? I've heard this board is picky.
I wish MSI would update it's RAM compat list!
