Ross

I am in Australia and wish to purchase a movie in the USA itunes store and download it to my windows 7 PC. Can any one help?

You can only buy content from your own country's store, to buy from the US store you will need to be in the US with a US billing address on your account. You can try requesting that the film be added to the Australian store, but unless the film studio/rights-holder agrees to it then Apple won't be able to sell it there : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

  • How to purchase "Movies" through the Canadian iTune store?

Could some one please tell me how to purchase a "movie" through the Canadian iTunes store?
The "Movies" icon only available in the United States iTune store. I tried to set up an account through this US store but was unable due to "no option" for Canadian address.
Back to Canadian iTune store page, but there are no "movies" available for purchase and download.
    Please help.

At present movies are only available in the US iTunes store. There are a variety of reasons for this including copyright and licensing issues in different countries.
You cannot purchase anything from an iTunes store outside of the country in which you live as mentioned in the Terms of Sale.
"You agree not to use or attempt to use the Service from outside of the available territory, and that iTunes may use technologies to verify your compliance."
The Terms of Use for the iTMS state that you agree that you won't attempt to make purchases from outside the store's country. The chance is small that Apple will cut off your account, but just be aware that it is possible. They certainly won't support your use of the US iTMS from Canada if you do have any problems.

  • Where do you go to download movies in the Canadian itunes store! HELP!!!!!!

I can't find any movies to download in the canadaian itunes store! please tell me there are ones i can download or i will be uber upset! please someone help me.. where do I go?

Due to restrictions placed by the copyright holders on Apple, movies are only available in the US store at this time. Steve Jobs has said that movies should be available outside the US sometime in 2007, but no exact timeframe has been given.
As a new poster, you may want to try the "search" window in the upper right corner to see if your question has been asked previously. This question about movies in the Canadian store has literally been asked & answered dozens of times, this week alone.

  • I want to buy a movie from the america itunes store. How do I, since I am Australian?

I want to buy Bruce Almighty from the american itunes store because the Australian itunes store doesn't have it. I really want it but I don't know how to buy it as I have tryed to login but a sign pops up saying that my account is only for the Australian itunes store.
    How do I buy it?
    Can I buy it?
    Please help me.

You can ONLY buy from the itunes store of your country of residence (verified by your billing address of your credit card) AND ONLY while inside the borders of that country.

  • NO 1080p Films in the UK iTunes Store? Why

Can someone please tell me why there is a discrimination against UK  v US Customer's on the iTunes Store?
Most movies in the US Store are available at 1080p, yet the same film in the UK store is only available at 720p.
Does anyone know why this is?
    Thanks

Apple has not said, so your guess is as good as ours. Licensing granted by the movie studios, most likely. All we can say with any certainty is that they're not available at this time, and the same applies in many other countries.
    Regards.

  • Buying movies in the UK ITunes Store?

How do you purchase movies from the UK store? There is no option that I can see. I've looked at the US store and the option is available there. Is it just a matter of time before UK gets it? If I buy it on the US site will they work here (Scotland)?

Movies are only available in the US at present. I believe the plan that was announced when the Movies were introduced is to roll them out to other stores sometime this year. However whether or even if the UK and other stores get them in 2007 will depend on the negotiations with the film distributors for each region. TV shows are subject to the same restrictions and at the moment Apple only has a license to sell them in the US.
Also unless you can show some form of residency you cannot buy from another country's store. The question on cross store purchasing is asked frequently so I'll just quote the most complete answer (courtesy of Dave Sawyer) from the many given:
In order to buy from any given country's iTunes Music Store, you must have either:
    a) a credit card with a billing address in that country, or
    b) a mailing address in that country and a gift certificate or a prepaid card that was bought in that country.
If you cannot fulfill one of these two sets of conditions, you will not be able to purchase from any given country's iTMS.
.......this is due to restrictions placed on Apple by the record companies and other rights holders (who are often completely different from country to country and so all require their own individual negotiations and contracts), not by Apple's choice. And this also applies to all the legal download stores that carry major-label content, not just the iTMS.

  • Original Audio for Movies in the German iTunes Store

    Hey there,
I bought a movie from my german iTunes Acount. Apparently there is no original audi with it. Is there a chance to get the original audio afterwards?

That message is infuriatingly misleading. I'm being told that it is not available in the UK Store but is available in the German Store.  In point of fact it isn't available anywhere.
A number of people have complained recently that it's taking a lot longer than it should for newly accepted podcasts to appear in the Store. If your feed is OK there isn't really anything you can do except wait. You could try emailing Support at podcasts 'at' apple.com but I'm afraid you will probably just get a form answer telling you how to submit a podcast (which you already know). Your feed appears to be OK.

  • When will be be able to purchase music, movies in the Jamaica iTunes Store?

Not sure if this is the correct area to ask this question. I am in Jamaica, i go into the Jamaica store and i cannot purchase songs. I am not sure why i am unable to do.

Apple haven't got agreements in place with the license holders for every region so each store has content particular to the country the store serves. Even though an album is sold worldwide in many cases it's on different labels or controlled by different licence holders in each region or country. Until such an agreement is reached with the licensees for your region Apple won't be free to sell you any music.

  • I can't find a movie I know was in the US iTunes Store...

I have been gradually switching my movie collect from DVD to iTunes.  When I want to download the complete Harry Potter set, all the movies were there except the Half-Blood Prince.  I know it was sold in the US iTunes Store last year when it was released on video, but now it is no where to be found.  Yet, it can be found on other iTunes stores like Canada, where my iTunes account can't be used.
I sent a message to iTunes Support, but they, for some reason, keep sending me to the New Zealand Store.  I can't buy there, and I am not going to spend more money on the video there even if I could.
Does anyone know how I can get better support for the iTunes Store?  I know this may seem odd to pursue this, but this must be a mistake in the US store. How could a video disappear?
    Thanks,
    Carl

Sometimes, something that was for sale last year is no longer for sale..  That is not unusual for the iTunes Store (or any other retailer). Sometimes there is a big complicated story behind it, but sometimes it just went off sale, or the owner decided to no longer use iTunes as a sales channel in the USA.

  • The new transformers movie is out today in the american itunes store but i have a uk itunes account why cant i buy it ?

the new transformers movie is out today in the american itunes store but i have a uk itunes account why cant i buy it ?

It is up to the licenseholder/distributor to make their content available to Apple to sell in a particular country - until they do so, Apple can't sell it there. You can try requesting it (http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html), but ultimately it's down to the distributor.

    Hello ktsuchiya
If you can get your rental to download by going to Store > Check for Available Downloads, then report the issue to the iTunes Store.

  • I have a Canadian credit card but a Korean address only. Can I switch to the Canadian iTunes Store to purchase a movie?

I have a Canadian credit card but not a Canadian address. My address is in South Korea. I want to purchase a movie from the iTunes Store, but I cannot currently because there is no Korean iTunes Store. May I switch to the Canadian iTunes Store with a Canadian credit card and a Korean address? Or how can I gain access to the Canadian iTunes Store?

The iTunes Store in a country is intended for use only by that country's residents, and only while they are in the country. To use the iTunes Store in a country you need a credit card (or other card type if acceptable in a country) issued in that country, billed to an address in that country, and also be physically present in that country when using the store.  You are also restricted to waiting 90 days between country changes.
E.g., "The iTunes Service is available to you only in the United States, its territories, and possessions. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Service from outside these locations. Apple may use technologies to verify your compliance." - http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/terms.html#SERVICE
