I have one scenario whereby an employee has resigned in the month of March 2010. He requested for his EA Form Year 2010 to be printed out at the same period in the month of March 2010. Seek your advice on the following question as below:
1) I believe that the system can cater to generate the EA Form Year 2010 in the same period. However, Is there any implication in the system since the EA form generated in Year 2010? This process is suppose to be run in Year 2011.
2) In the EA form preparation, RPCTSQL0 (Tcode: PC00_M14_CTSQ) seq.no generation. What is the impact if user process twice in year 2010 and 2011.

Hi,
Once I came ascross similar requirement, but not for 1 year. It was quota generation as a result of work on public holiday that had to be valid for 3 month. Obviously different employees had different validity start and end date.
I did a custom function to address this requirements, but at the end of the day it complicated whole set up. So got rid of the idea of custom function.
The solution was to create separate quota for every month. In your case it would be as following:
1. Create 12 quotas with validity of one year.
2. When employee has overtime on public holiday generate Q1.
3. In the end of the month transfer quota Q1 to Q2, or Q2 to Q3, ... , Q11 to Q12.
4. When quota is Q12 then compensate it or delete it - depends on your requirements.

Fiscal Period Variant Not defined for year 2010

Hi All ,
We are using a Planning area with a Fiscal year variant in the storage bucket profile for DP. We are trying to copy the data from BW to the planning area which also has the same Fiscal year variant. All the settings in SPRO and the T009 tables are setup correctly for this fiscal year variant, still while using the TSCUBE transaction to copy the data from the cube to the planning area we enconter the above mentioned error. While investigating further we found a table /sapapo/T445C2 which assigns the infocube to the technical periods and this table is empty as of now,( A similar table is used in ECC for flexible planning which assings this value there ) , But in BW side there is no such table. I am not sure if this is the reason for the error. Did anyone face a similar problem in the past . Kindly share your comments on the same.

Hi Kadam,
Thank you for the reply. We already did check the notes , but that is not of relevance in this case, since the error is happening not only in APO but also in BI. The BI team found that the fiscal year variant defined for the year was 100 periods which is not possible since in a year if we make weekly periods the periods cannot exceed more that 53 to 64 hence the system was not creating any SID's they are trying to correct the error.

Combining CPU(Critical patch Updates) with Year-End patches, good/bad idea?

Hello all,
I hoping to get some expert opinion on some upcoming patches to our environment. We are 3 releases being on applying CPU's to our environment and it is that time of year where testing is needed for Year-end patches. Does anyone see any issues with combining the year-end and CPU's? Would it be recommended that we hold off on the applying CPU's because of not experiencing any major problems in our environement, then schedule to gradually get up to date once the year-end patches are in place?
The desire to install CPU's is to not fall too far being on the CPU's.

My recommendation is to combine the CPUs with the rest of your patches. CPUs do not affect functionality - they patch security holes/issues in software. Since you will be testing for yearend patches, you can take advantage of this opportunity to also include CPU patches, else separate testing and downtime will be required for the CPU patches. This is the approach we have in our organization. We have yet to encounter an issue with this approach.

I called Apple technical support in Denmark, but with no positive reply.
She couldn't do anything, and said that They had sent a recall Email about the problem and with their offer to repair the Macbook Pro, but I'd never recieved an Email about the problem. She wasn't in power to make an exception. It can't be true that i paid a lot of money, for a product that can't barely stand on its own feets, Apple didn't tell me that the product I was about to buy, would restart every 5 minute. and now when they know the problem, they wont repair it? it just don't make sense for me. If a car seller discovers that all the brakes in a car he had sold, will crash after some years he will call all the cars back to repair no mater what. i just don't understand how Apple will make good service for their custumers, by extending the warranty from 2 to 3 years, but wont take the computers there is a little bit to old, 4 months will make the difference. i can't believe it.
What can i do now?

Fiscal year change for AA

Hello All,
I have uploaded my legacy assets in DEV client for testing(Transfer date is 31.12.2008)
After uploading, i'm going to check the balances through AR02 report in the FY 2009, but it is giving below error message
Fiscal year change not yet made for company code XXXX
    Message no. AB059
Diagnosis
    You have not yet carried out a fiscal year change for company code XXXX,
    although the current system date is in the new fiscal year.
Procedure
    Carry out the fiscal year change for company code XXXX.
I know we can't open more than two FY's in AA, but what can be done for the uploading assets(Transfer date 31.12.2008).
Can we close current FY in AA module which is 2011?
Please advice me.

I heard, only we can open two fiscal year in AA.
So, is it possible for me to check the balances in FY 2009 through AR02.
Is there any way to clost the FY 2011 in AA, so that I can work in FY 2009 & 2010.

Get error in AJRW - Fiscal Year change for Assets

I am facing with the following problem when run AJRW in Test Run mode.
Company Code: 1000
Fiscal year: 2010
Fiscal year change statistics - Test Version
Status    Company code    Read.....   Already changed.... To change.... Incorrect..... Without values..... Already deactivated....

The current asset Fiscal year in OAAQ & OAAR is 2009, user already posted depreciation for 01/2011 & 02/2011. And they can't execute AJRW to close old fiscal year (FY 2010).
I am new in Asset Accounting Module. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated with points.

I am using Former Budgeting and is configured for Commitment Budget only (not configured for Payment Budget). When I tried posting via GL Document Entry to test FM, I encountered the following error.

Diagnosis:
Posting for the document of value type 54was attempted on a date that has not been opened in FM.
Procedure:
To define open item intervals for FM postings, use the following transactions:
Individual Maintenance of Open Time Intervals
Mass Maintenance of Open Time Intervals]
I have already maintained in transaction FMIR.
The entry is:-
Budget Category/Year/Value T/Account Assign Elem/Value/AuGr/Frm/To

What else do you think could be causing this error?

i hope 2010 fiscal variants are not mainiatined in ur bi system
please do this operation..
Go to RSA1-> source systems->select R/3 system -> right click->Transfer global settings->Fiscal year varaints->rebuild tables
then try to repeat the load...the load will be fine if the calender is maintained in R/3 if not raise this issue to the functional people...

Fiscal year "A3" Variant is not maintained for Financila year 2010

Hello All,
while creating asset master using AS01 T Code i am getting an error "Fiscal year "A3" Variant is not maintained for Financila year 2010 for Compnay Code 0600".
but i have configured Fical year variant and assigned to co code, i am able to post the transactions for all the periods i.e financial year 2010.
here my question is whether we need to maintain the Fiscal year variant separately for Asset accounting in ECC 6.0.

check the posting date what u r puting , it should be on or before 31/03/2010
i think this is only the issue dont looks like any other issue
or do one thing just o\go in SNRO and for J_1IINTNUM object put 9999 year and the number range
and try to post your transaction in 2009
