1099 Electronic Media file formatted incorrectly

On Oracle 11i
Hi, not sure if I'm in the right forum, but when I am in the A/P module, I run the "1099 Electronic Media" report and then View Output, the file is saved as a text file.
When I open this file it is formatted incorrectly. The IRS requires one row per record, but the file has two records per row.
I'm hoping someone can assist me in correcting this issue?
Thanks for your reply.

In the definition of your concurrent request, there should be a style defined in the bottom right hand column in the output box. If you take that and go to (under system administrator resp) Install-->style-->query the user style using the above style. It should tell you the SRW driver. You can take that SRW driver go back to Install-->driver and query the SRW driver using the above driver. It should show the Init string at the bottom. If I remember correctly you should be able to see the SRW driver file under $FND_TOP/$APPLREP. If I am not wrong, if the init string does not have required format, then your concurrent requests output file will be formatted in a specific way before printing and thats how it will print.
You probably may need to look up the HP LaserJet 4250 dtn specs to see how you can modify the init string to put the output in the proper format that you need. Playing with the init string can sometimes be pretty frustrating until you hit the magic combination of squigly's that will give you your required output format.
Hope this helps and hopefully, some one else may have a better solution.
Cheers,
Chiru

  • Electronic payment file format

    Dear all,
one of our customers needs to transfer payment files via MT101 (= RFT) to a swiss bank. According to the documentation there are only formats like DTA, EZAG, ISO20022 available for bank transfer.
Does anyone of you have further knowledge or experiences if there is a possibility to transer MT101 files? Perhaps a work-around?
    Thanks a lot
    Best Regards

  • Media file formatting

i lost all my pictures and music on my bb 930 when i try formatting  media it fails
    please help

This is a bit of an old thread but it might help me get an answer I've been pondering about for a little while recently since buying a WD 2TB My Book Studio.
I've been using Macdrive for years now and absolutely love it! However, being a long-time desktop PC user I have never used any of my external hard drives in the past as a scratch disk. Recently, I upgraded to the more portable land of laptops and it's working great but to make sure I optimised my setup as much as I could, I bought the above mentioned drive because it's RAID0 enabled and e-sata connected giving me a decent, stable data-rate (I assume). The WD drives often come pre-formatted as HFS+ to make it easier for Mac users to just plug-in and go and I thought considering I am often working with colleagues using Macs and FCP too, it would be a good idea to keep this drive formatted this way to retain better compatibility with my peers.
The question that popped up in my mind however is whether this is adversely hindering performance whilst editing? Would read/write speeds be more efficient if the drive were configured natively as NTFS or does this not make much difference when using Macdrive?? Anybody have any thoughts???

  • Converting wmv (Windows Media File format) to Quicktime format

Is there a way to convert my wmv files to Quicktime without purchasing Quicktime Pro?

Search through the iPod Discussions pages for a clue and third party software.
    You've also given confusing info:
Computer says Mac Pro (2006) yet your OS says 10.0 (2001) and you've posted in the Windows side of this QuickTime Discussions pages.
Last answer is that QuickTime Pro can't even open WMP formats without third party software help and converting costs money which you seem to not want to spend.

  • 1099 Payables e-file to IRS FIRE

    Greetings to All,
We are using 1099 payables in oracle for the first time. We have already sent out copies to the receiptents and now we have proceeded and uploaded the 1099 e-file to IRS Fire.
When we did this 2 days ago, we got back a response from IRS that the file is BAD, with the following verbage:
Your records are not a fixed length of 750 bytes per record or your record lengths vary within the file. If you use carriage return/line feeds, they must be in positions 749-750.
We got in touch with IRS support line. They stated in the file, each row had a carriage return.
When I look at the file in a text editor, each row does have a carriage return.
The file that was uploaded into FIRE was generated from the concurrent request: 1099 Electronic Media, this automatically seeded the following style=Dynamic Portrait - 1099 Tape
Our problem maybe the style being feed in. We are not using a Tape but e-file to FIRE.
IF ANYONE HAS SUCCESSFULLY SENT AN EFILE TO FIRE SYSTEM WITHOUT ANY ISSUE, COULD ONE SHARE HOW THEY PROCESSED THEIR FILE.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Is there a way to play flv & mkv file formats through media element in windows 8.1 app ?

i am trying to develop a video player so i just thought Is there a way to play flv & mkv file formats through media element in windows 8.1 app ? , coz when i tried media element it is supporting only mp4 & avi formats.

Here is a list of Media Foundation codecs
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd757927(v=vs.85).aspx
For the rest of the formats you have you write your own MFT-based codec and ship the codec with your app. See also
    implementing a Codec MFT (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd757274(v=vs.85).aspx)
    Media extensions sample (https://code.msdn.microsoft.com/windowsapps/Media-extensions-sample-7b466096)
MKV and FLV are just container formats, though, you need to survey some video files to see what video codecs are actually in streams and support them one by one. Supporting some proprietary video formats may involve licensing costs from patent holders.

  • When opening .doc from website link, FF appends .docx extention to file & does not open in Word 2010, with incorrect file format error. Pls Help

I'm using Firefox v12 to open a hyperlink from a website that points to a filename.doc MS Word Document for download.
We are then asked to open the file with MS Word (Default), which our installed version is MS Word 2010.
Firefox then renames the file appending a .docx to the filename e.g filename.doc.docx. MS Word 2010 opens with error 'incorrect file format', which is correct as Firefox has renamed it.
Is there a fix or workaround for this?

    Hello Jscher2000,
I can save the file and it opens fine.
It's when I open it directly, Firefox appends the 'docx' extenstion to the filename.
If I continue to reopen from the web link, Firefox renames the file as so
    mydoc.doc-1.docx
    mydoc.doc-2.docx
    mydoc.doc-3.docx
I can open a .doc from a Microsoft site ok.
I have the feeling it's the way the web server is reporting the mime type to Firefox.
The link in question works fine in Internet Explorer.
    best regards,
    Youngielinux.

  • Premiere and Media Encoder will will no longer export my edit to any file format.

This is on a Windows 8.1 PC.
The edit exported fine until I made one big mistake.
I created a Nested Edit to make a quick alteration.
Since then the following is now the case and I cannot go back to an earlier edit to fix this.
Premiere and Media Encoder will will no longer export my edit to any file format. Using either the Export Option or Media Encoder.  Get a dialog that says "Unknown Error Compiling Movie"
There is nothing wrong with my footage.  This edit worked fine and I export through Media Encoder many times until I made a Nested Edit within the Premiere Project.
I have tried all sorts of searches on the net for a fix to this but nothing seems to be current or indeed works.
Any help would be appreciated as this is a show stopper.

Thanks for the reply Mark, appreciated.
I have found a work around but it still leaves a long term issue for Adobe to fix.
    As to your first solution:
1).  The nested edit is already in its own timeline panel.  It will not export or encode via media encoder.  This is the problem.
2).  I will try the KEM roll feature but I have a work around see following.
3).  No I do not have a nested edit within a nested edit.
I did a lot of research on the net on this issue as it happened to a colleague of mine on his machine about two weeks ago.  It took me six hours to get a fix and in his case there were six video clip that had read errors.  When I overwrote those clips from the original backup master it fixed the problem.  However I was never able to use Media Encoder again to export his project without it failing.  I could only use the Export feature.  Again he had used a nested edit in his project.
I my case I do not have any nested edits within a nested edit.  All I did was drag my main edit onto the New Sequence icon at the bottom of the Project Bin.  This of course created a nested edit in a new Timeline Panel which is what I wanted.  I then slid the entire nested edit to the right in the timeline by two seconds as all a wanted to do was add two seconds of black at the head of the edit.  That was it.  From that point of creating the nested edit Media Encoder and the Export option failed every time with the fore mentioned error.
The final work around was one of those I found previous mention of during my research.  I created a new clean Premiere Pro CC 2014 project, I then used the import option under the file menu.  I imported only the original main edit which brought in that edit along with all the required footage.  This would then export to disk using the Export feature.  However, Media Encoder will still not encode this new edit, it fails the same way every time, 'Unknown Error Compiling Movie'.
As a test I loaded the old corrupt edit project back up and deleted the nested edit sequence completely and re-saved it.  This had no effect and did not fix the problem.  This particular project file will no longer export directly or via media encoder at all no matter what I do.
This seems pretty serious to me.  I worked on this edit for a whole month without issue, encoding out roughs as a went without any issue, it was only yesterday after I made the nested edit that the project file is now useless as it will not encode out at all.  Yes I have a work around and was able to salvage my project and get it rendered in time for my deadline but the fact I have a partially working Project that Media Encoder will not touch does not instill me with confidence for long term use of Premiere Pro if this is going to happen again.
Is there some place I can send this project file to Adobe to see if they can find out what is wrong with it?  I am not the only person having this issue I have seen other post going all the way back through CS6 it seems.

Hey Gurus I've just shot a seminar, three cameras, Cannon's reasonably new XA20HD's. File format 1920X1080 MP4 17mbs 25 frames. Am running PremProCS6. I import the files into Prem, they come in ok but will not display. Got a yellow bar and a yellow Media Pending screen. What the? Have to cut this stuff soon! Wont even import into Media Encoder. Says there are no usable streams in the media! Just saw a podcast title about stress in the editing business. Better listen to the one! Any help would be most appreciated. J.

Copy ALL contents of SD card to a folder on edit hard drive. not just video clips, everything. Then in Premiere, import using Media Browser (tab at lower left of Premiere screen). This usually does the trick. There is metadata contained in the SD card files that is needed, not just the video clips alone.
