1099 misc - Printing Copy C from General Witholding

Hi!!
I have configured the system and applied both the notes specified for 2010. My Copy A for 1099 Misc is getting printed and my Copy B is getting printed. My problem is I am not able to determine how to print the Copy C. SAP notes images are only for Copy B.
Any help is appreciated

In the print preview, there is a "Suppress/Display Background Graphics" push button that toggles between displaying the form and not displaying the form. What needs to be done is to send the 1099 to the print spooler without the background graphics. This only prints the data. Then you print the data on pre-printed Copy A, Copy B, and Copy 1. ...

Printing 1099 MISC form

Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement to print 1099 MISC form. Sap has give a standard smartform " IDWTCERT_US_1099MISC " for this purpose. The only problem with this form is it prints Copy B for recipient of the the usual 1099 form .
It does not have pages for printing Copy A for IRS , Copy 1 for State tax Dept, Copy 2 and Copy C.
I would appreciate if you can let me know if the form i am using is the right one. If it is the right form then what did you do to print the other copies.
If it is not the right form then let me know the right form name and print program or Transaction code.

Print 1099 MISC form

We applied the 2008 1009 oss note. Now I'm trying to test print in T03. Once I execute the program, I went to SPA script to print the form on a plain sheet. I could to print preview.But, I'm unable create spool. I did choose the Print form option and my printer is local printer. I'm able print other forms to this printer.

Our organization is having this issue with the new Adobe forms that were released. The 1099 smartforms print 2 forms per page but the 1099 adobe forms are only printing 1 form per the OSS note that was just released - Note: 1949022. Is there somewhere in config that we can select to print 2 per page?
We are using IDWTCERT_US_1099MISC which will print just 1 form per page ( we also had to make some adjustments because the top gets cut off...)
form IDWTCERT_US_1099MISC1 will print 2 forms per page but it is not a new vendor that prints on the form it is a copy of the first on the page
The 1099 Interest adobe form prints 2 per page with IDWTCERT_US_1099INT - this is curious too because the smartform prints 3 forms per page
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Do you know how to resolve it?I am considering putting in a problem report.

Printing 1099-Misc forms - 1 up forms?

We are using RFIDYYWT to print 1099-MISCu2019s but do not want to use the SAP standard "2 up" 1099 form.
We need to print one 1099 vendor per page instead of the SAP standard of 2 different vendors on each page, because we use a fold and seal form, and print a second copy for the recipient. I have scanned and loaded a new bitmap overlay with SE78 and have created a new SMARTFORM for our 1099, basically a copy of the original IDWTCERT_US_1099MISC SMARTFORM, and have created a second output group (US2) for the US_1099 process type to reference the new form.
All of this was pretty basic work, although getting the scanned overlay image the right size is tricky.
My current issue is we are dropping every other 1099, e.g. the program thinks it is still sending 2 vendors per page to the form.     I need to find how to set the output to one 1099 per page. (If I can't I will redo as a 2 page form as a fall back, but that is an awful solution.)
Does anyone know how to control the 1099 output to indicate 1 vendor instead of 2 per output form?

Printing two vendors per page is controlled by somewhat convoluted logic within the IDWTCERT_US_1099MISC Smartform MAIN window logic.   Look for references to the "append_time" counter and the SUBPAGENO counter.   These are used to control paging every other record. I've got it working but have some remaining cleanup to get it completely right.

SAP faxing from all-in-one (printer/copier/scanner/fax) device

Hi,
We have a all-in-one printer/copier/scanner/fax (Ricoh Aficio 3025) and would like to make use of it to send fax from SAP.
I know how to set it up as a printer. But how should I go about setting it up to send fax?
Can someone help?

You can't just set it up as a fax... you need a fax server in order to send faxes (I.E. Rightfax)... basically the way it works is that you create a node in SCOT for faxes and send the data to the fax server via SMTP and the fax server deliver the fax to your hardware.

I am attempting to connect my Canon Pixma MG5220 printer/copier/scanner to my MacBook Pro OS 10.6.8. After loading software from Canon and attempting to print, I get the following message: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED. What can I do to fix this?

I just purchased and installed a Canon Pixma MG5220 printer/copier/scanner to my PC desktop with Windows XP. It works fine. It has been successfully installed on my network and I am able to use it with my laptop running VISTA. However, I am trying to connect it to my MacBook Pro OS 10.6.8 and I am not having much luck. I can see it as one of the printer choices when attempting to print; however, I get the following message:
NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED
I have been searching for answers, but nothing seems to work yet. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Let me understand:
- you have purchased named canon, which is conencted to your PC running windows xp
- downloaded driver for win xp, and canon works fine
- canon is connected to that PC via USB
- that Canon is also activated as network printer, by allowing print sharing in windows; how did you set that option?
- now, you are in Mac OS x 10.6.8, downloaded Canon driver for Mac OS X, installed it, detected printer on the network, printer was installed; was it detected as attached to that PC running win XP? or not?
or you set canon by being connected to your mac directly via USB?
Now, there are some questions you should answer as some details are missing, and your initial text is not clear. Can you print if Canon is connected directly to your mac? did you try that? if not, do it before answering.

My deskjet All-in-one F300 will NOT print copy docs, or from My Docs or attachments

This printer will only print e-mails or direct from HP essentials screen but nothing else. Ink cartridges are ok.

General procedure on copying folder from PCD

Hello All,
Whats the correct method for copying folder, iviews etc.
I have just imported the latest version of ESS and MSS. And am going to copy the folder using a delta link.
Do I then have to change the ID of the object and the object prefix?
If this is the case does it have to be done for all folder, iviews, pages etc? Or can I just leave them as the same name as the version i copied it from?

I am sorry it took so long. I did a little research and apparently there really is no official recommendation right now.
The settings for homepage customizing in the backend are only supposed to be examples / templates, so I guess you could say that the recommendation is still to copy the business packages in the portal via content mirroring to your namespace. The problem with that is -- like you said -- that you have to adjust all the settings in the backend for this.
In my opinion the best way right now is to leave the PCD structure as it is and use the "examples" from the backend. Only if you intend to create your very own structure would it be reasonable to use the content mirroring and adjust all the links -- but this is only my opinion.

1099-MISC issue in ECC6

This is a new ECC6 implementation and first time 1099 reporting from SAP
We are facing two issues with 1099-MISC reporting. I guess these are not unique problems and you might have faced in other projects as well.
1. We have multiple vendor records/numbers for a vendor with same name and tax id but with different addresses. Invoices have also been paid to these different vendor ids. When generating a 1099 report how can we club these Vendor IDs based on Tax ID so that report is generated for only one vendor id. Please note that we are not using an alternative payee feature in this project.
2. This is quite absurd but when we are taking a printout of the 1099-MISC SAPSCRIPT form for 2008 (which was uploaded from SAP Note 1279366), Box no.11 and 12 are not coming proper. These boxes are greyed out or disabled in actual sample IRS copies but in the printout they are almost blank with few small dots here and there as if some text was printed in it and some one tried to erase it. I think IRS may reject these forms. Please revert if anyone else also faced same issue? If yes, what is the solution?

I am still not convinced with your need. You may want to ask your client to check with their tax department. Though I worked on this config few years back but I clearly remember that client need was to club payments of multiple vendor IDs into one vendor ID for 1099 reporting purpose.
However, I am providing configuration path for 1099 Misc report where Fiscal Adress relating settings are to be made. Same place you can make your own settings. Let me know if it helped.

Field fiscal address in Vendor Master can be used in report configuration. The field that needs to be checked is Group Items according to fiscal address. The path is SAP Customizing Implementation Guide > Financial Accounting (New) > Financial Accounting Global Settings (New) > Withholding Tax > Withholding Tax > Generic Withholding Tax Reporting > Define Output Groups
In there go to the settings for US_1099 US1. This is available when you double click that line.

For Type Adobe- Gives us flexibility to create our own forms in Abobe Forms format. This needs help of ABAP team

Fiscal address can be defined in vendor master under Control where you can attach a central vendor to all other related Vendors
Related Vendors-
Vendors in which actual transactions are carried out. Maintain Central Vendor Number in the Fiscal Address Field.
Central Vendor – This Vendor may or may not be extended to Company Codes. Will propose for better control purpose to not to extend to company code and create a new vendor group. As we only need address and Tax ID. (This is maintained in Fiscal Address)

1099 vendors, S_PL0_09000314 - 1099-Misc

Hi,
I have an issue while running the S_PL0_09000314 - 1099-Misc report. I created a test 1099 vendor, by maintaining (1) tax number under tax information and (2) Witholding tax code 07 for the vendor. With these settings, I posted an invoice and paid the vendor.
The issue is while running the report S_PL0_09000314 - 1099-Misc, it says "list contains no data" (under vendors with correct TIN). However, in the same report, I was able to see the vendor listed under Wrong TIN:Vendors.
Also, when I ran the 1099 listings (S_ALR_87012143 - 1099 Listings), it showed the vendor with the list of documents posted/cleared.
What could be the problem that S_PL0_09000314 - 1099-Misc is not showing the vendor under under vendors with correct TIN. Am I missing something here?

When I run S_P00_07000134 - Generic Withholding Tax Reporting to generate the 1099 output I get the following errors
1. Company code 3000's witholding tax reference number is missing
2. Unable to print form IDWTCERT_US_1099MISC
I chose the following in the program
Process group: US_1099
Output group: US1
Am I missing any configuration or something else here?

1099 MISC 2011 file length

Hi Experts
This relates to 1099 MISC 2011 file length. We have applied SAP note 1666672 that pertains to 2011 changes.While the form print looks good, when i compared the file with P1220 ( The publication that specifies details on tax filing), i found that P1220 states that length of records should be 750 for the T and B records - however in my case i get only 746 characters
I generated the file in txt and opened with excel and used LEN to count the length of the records
Any suggestions? - Is there a further SAP note that is to be applied or a i missing something on the DMEE side of it.
Further is P1220 the Gospel to compare the correctness with.
