10g AQ Adapter converting to 11g JMS Adapter

Hi,
I'm looking for any documentation that shows how to migrate a project/application from using 10g AQ Adapter to 11g JMS Adapter.
Thanks,
Bruce

Hi Anuj,
I am new to SOA 11g.
I followed the steps mentioned in the URL which you have given.
I created the jms module and added a foreign server to it while configuring the foreign server it asks for the JNDI Connection URL and i have no clue what
value should be there in this field.
Do i need to create a jndi connection URL for my database where i have created the queue?
Sorry if i am sounding silly but it will be great if you can elaborate on this.
With Regards,
Harshwardhan

  • Calling Foreign JMS in SOA Suite 11g JMS Adapter

    Hi,
    Just want to get some guidance in the implementation of Foreign JMS in WebLogic 10.3.
    I followed the creation of the Foreign JMS Server using this document:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/apirefs.1111/e13952/taskhelp/jms_modules/foreign_servers/CreateForeignServers.html
    I am trying to connect to a remote Weblogic 10.3 JMS queue but cannot get pass the JDev wizard stage.
    I need to call the foreign JMS via the Fusion 11g JMS Adapter but cannot lookup the destination from the JDev wizard. My composite will produce a message that will end up in the remote queue.
    Has anybody got this to work? Is this supported in JMS Adapter? I've read quite a few using MDB to call the Foreign JMS but not JMS Adapter.
    Regards,
    Robert

    Please refer to the following document that shows how to access remote wls jms queues and topics. This is the preferred way when accessing remote wls destinations.

  • Orrarp report toll in appliaction 10g wants the solution for 11g

    Dear all,
    my orrarp reporting tool which will prompt me to select the printer from network was working fine with me on application server 10g when I moved to 11g middle ware this is not working as i am not getting printer window to select the printer on the network kindly help to configure and reolve my issue.
    Thanks
    Massi

    Hi There,
    No, I did not find any solution. However I managed to convert these into 11g from the only opportunity I got. I will explain....
    On one instance, I managed to open up a report (which was crashing earlier) successfully in the 11g reports builder. As soon as I managed to do that, I opened up all the 10g reports that were crashing before and all of them opened up in the same report builder session and I saved it. Once all of these were converted, I took the back up of those reports. I then tried the same thing by opening another report builder session to see if the problem no longer exists, but I was not able to open these again. But lucky me, I took oppurtunity of the only chance I got and I managed to convert all the reports in the same report builder session when I managed to open one report successfully.
    I thought that there must be something within the temp folder it is storing some information or something within the temp folder it is corrupting something, hence I cleared off everything from the temp folder and tried the same steps but in vain.
    No one seems to know the solution so far. If you do happen to know the root cause please let me know.
    Regards
    Sanjiv

  • Query can run in Oracle 10g but very slow in 11g

    Hi,
    We've just migrated to Oracle 11g and we noticed that some of our view are very slow (it takes seconds in 10g and takes 30 minutes in 11g), and the tables are using the local table.
    Do any of you face the same issue?
    This is our query:
    SELECT
    A.wellbore
    ,a.depth center
    ,d.MD maxbc
    ,d.XDELT xbc
    ,d.YDELT ybc
    ,e.MD minac
    ,e.XDELT xac
    ,e.YDELT yac
    from
    table_A d,table_A e, table_B a
    where a.wellbore = d.WELLBORE (+)
    and a.wellbore = e.WELLBORE(+)
    and d.MD = (select max(MD) from table_A b where b.MD < a.depth and
    d.wellBORE = b.wellBORE)
    and e.md = (select min(md) from table_A c where c.MD > a.depth and
    e.wellBORE = c.wellBORE);

    Thanks I will move to the correct one..
    Rafi,
    Build the Indexes and it is still slow. I am querying from a view from another database, which is in 10g instances.
    Moved: Query can run in Oracle 10g but very slow in 11g

  • Can 10g course be used for 11g ocp hands on requirement?

    Hi,
    I recently cleared 1z0-051 and 1z0-052 and awaiting OCA certificate.
    Congratulations.
    Can any one please assist and guide me on how to proceed to 1z0-053 as Oracle University in my area is not offering any 11g course yet; they are still offering 10g courses?
    Thats unfortunate ...
    Can I confirm you have checked ...
    [http://www.oracle.com/education]
    and checked your country and selected course schedule. I dont know what your country is but i see both India and Saudi Arabia are offering 11g courses.
    You could try contacting your local Oracle university by phone, other options might be a Live Virtual Class instructor led course which i believe still satifies the requirement, or attending a course out of country / area.
    I do not see any 10g course on list of courses for 11g hands on:
    http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=244#5
    Agreed.
    My question is, should i invest on 10g hand on to pursue 11g ocp?
    In my opinion probably not. But I dont know your exact situation.
    One option would be to sit 1z0-042 .. ( i think the topics are 80% common with 1z0-052) , so if your head is currently filled with 1z0-052 then its possilby not too difficult to adject to 1z0-042 ... checkout the topics. You could then take 1z0-043 , take 10g training to get your 10g OCP, then take 1z0-050 to get your 11g OCP. Thats a long way round and a lot of exams to get to 11g OCP from where your are, and if you've not much experience of earlier versions of Oracle you might want to stick with 11g so you dont get confused between slight differences between the two.
    Another thing to note is that the 1z1-053/1z0-053 has today 30-jun-2009 finished beta ... so it will not now be possilble to take 1z0-053 until the production exam is released which should be sometime in september, and you may want to plan round that.
    If you really cant see any 11g courses , and have contacted your local Oracle University, then you could go to [www.oracle.com/education/certification] and look up the FAQ's under support and if your're really stuck then use support/contact-us.
    thanks and kind regards,
    Moiz

  • Soa 10g Ftp adapter file  size

    Hi,
    I am using a ftp adapter to transfer files. I am placing a 9kb file but after the transfer at the destination I find the file transferred but the file size is 2.8kb. Please do suggest me the possible solution and the reason for this issue
    Thanks

    What 10g version do you have?
    Try adding the following property to your outbound ftp wsdl file:
    <partnerLinkBinding name="xxxxx">
    *<property name="control.read.timeout">10000</property>*

  • Is there a replacement for 10g $ESBREQUEST variable in Mediator 11g?

    In SOA ESB 10g, I have used $ESBREQUEST variable for data enrichment. I have used it the following way:
    <xsl:param name="ESBREQUEST"/>
      <xsl:template match="/">
      <top:AffDataSyncWipCollection>
      <top:AffDataSyncWip>
      <top:recordId>
      <xsl:value-of select="concat($ESBREQUEST/s3:AccountField,$ESBREQUEST/s3:Code)"/>
      </top:recordId>
      <top:acctField>
      <xsl:value-of select="$ESBREQUEST/s3:AccountField"/>
      </top:acctField>
    However, we are migrating to SOA Mediator 11g now, and for the same code, I get the following error:
    ORAMED-01201:[Error in transform operation]Error occurred while transforming payload using "xsl/AcctCodeSegmentExistsResponse_To_AffDataSyncWipCollection.xsl" for target part "AffDataSyncWipCollection".Possible Fix:Review the XSL or source payload. Either the XSL defined does not match with the payload or payload is invalid. Cause:XML-22036: (Error) Cannot convert result tree fragment to NodeSet.
    Would anyone be able to help me how to fix this issue in Mediator 11g?
    I have read that data can be accessed using $initial.request variable. Could anyone provide detailed steps please?
    Thanks much and any white paper or suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

    May be you are looking on polling ability of DB Adapter which is definitely an option but I always suggest to use Oracle GoldenGate for such use cases.

  • Java Shapefile Converter in 11g

    I am looking for documentation on how to compile and run the Java Shapefile Converter that is supposedly included with Oracle 11g Spatial (referenced here: http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/spatial/index.html).
    I haven't been able to find anything about it other than this post: Updated "Oracle Java Shapefile Converter"? which only pretty much says it is included and no longer a separate download. The readme that is mentioned at the end of the thread (http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/spatial/files/text_files/shape2sdojava_readme.txt) is only for 10g and I haven't been able to adapt it for 11g.

    After setting up my classpath with sdoutl.jar, sdoapi.jar and ojdbc6.jar, I ran the command:
    java -cp %CLASSPATH% oracle.spatial.util.SampleShapefileToJGeomFeature -h host -p port -s orcl -u username -d password -t table -f filename -r 8307
    It worked successfully, the data was entered into the DB. Unfortunately, something is wrong with it. In uDig I cannot view it due to some rendering problem and after running some validation tests on it, I saw the errors:
    1. 'Geometry is required to be a LineString' for all the object names in the table
    I next opened mapbuilder and loaded the same shapefile into the database under the same SRID using mapbuilder's shapefile import. in uDig, this table displayed correctly with no problems!
    I followed the usage instructions for SampleShapefileToJGeom and don't see any other options which would fix this. Am I doing something wrong?

A workaround is to upgrade it on the same platform and then move it to the new oS and change wordisize.

  • Oracle 10g function to convert GML 3.1.1 to SDO_GEOMETRY

    In Oracle 11g there is a function available to convert GML 3.1.1 to SDO_GEOMETRY (SDO_UTIL.FROM_GML311GEOMETRY)
    However I need to support this in Oracle 10g that does not contain this function.
    Does anybody have this function for me in Java or PL/SQL?
    The Java classes GML, GML2, GML3 and GML 3g do not support GML 3.1.1 (with <patches>)
    Thanks for any help!
    Ron

    Hi Ron,
    I would second John's advice to go Simon's Java route as probably the best way to go if you are truly trapped on 10g. Note that were you to consider going the PLSQL route, the 10g XMLTYPE has a limitation of 64K for the payload of any XML tag. This means any GML linestring or polygon with more than 64K of coordinate data would not be possible to store or manipulate as XMLTYPE.
    ORA-31167: 64k size limit for XML node
    This makes using XMLTYPE tools to work with GML a bit of a bust on 10g. Moving to 11g is definitely something you want to consider if GML is in your requirements. Also, as a GML user please consider putting in an enhancement request to Oracle Spatial to support GML 3.2 and 3.3 (feel free to piggy back on 9788193).
    Oracle Spatial and support for GML 3.2.1?
    The 3.3 spec is due out any day now. The existing 11g reader/writer almost works with the new specs if they just added a few tweaks for gml:id and the namespace.
    Cheers,
    Paul

  • Requirement to upgrade OBIEE 10g on Windows to OBIEE 11g on Linux

    Dear All,
    I have a requirement to upgrade OBIEE 10g from current windows 2003 environment to OBIEE 11g Linux environment.
    I went through forums and many threads on upgrade, everywhere they talk about Upgrade Assistant (UA). And oracle documentation says ,
    +"Do not change from one platform or architecture to a different platform or architecture as part of the upgrade process.+
    +For example, if the existing 10g system is running on a Windows 32-bit platform, do not install Oracle BI 11g on a Linux 64-bit platform and then run the Linux 64-bit Upgrade Assistant to upgrade the existing 10g system."+
    But there would certainly be scenarios with other users the way I have. Then what is the way out to do this upgrade?
    Can anyone give some advice on this. It is little urgent.
    Thanking in advance.
    Regards,
    Deepika.

    Thats are huge change in platform. win32 to linux 64.
    Yet what we upgrade is only
    catalog and rpd.
    this might involve some manual change if UA cannot complete successfully.
    Its better to do a prototype before the actual upgrade as recommended by Oracle. This will show what can the possible issues and road blocks.

  • 10g BPEL process upgrade to 11g hangs in Jdeveloper and Ant script

    I have successfully upgraded several 10g (10.1.3.4) BPEL processes and ESB services using Jdeveloper 11g (11.1.1.6.0) migration wizard and deployed them to an 11g environment. Both 10g and 11g environments are up and running.
    However, my 11g jdeveloper hangs when migrating the next BPEL process. It hangs at the message box with the title: "Migration Status". I tried the Ant script and it hangs too. It hangs after printing out:
    "CompositeRefs
    [upgrade] WARNING: UPGBPEL-02009: No Binding setup for : "soapCheckPrivileges"
    . This will cause compilation of the upgraded project to fail. Check SOA Upgrade
    documentation on manual steps necessary to bind this composite reference. If ne
    cessary, upgrade and deploy any dependencies. If planning to retain 1013x nodes
    in this projects dependency tree, check earlier part of this log for 1013x WSDL
    URLs that can be used."
    I guess it makes sense since Jdeveloper and Ant script use the same code base for migration.
    One other observation is that if I kill the hanging jdeveloper process and reopen it and go through the migration wizard again, it will be successful without hanging. However, when I fix all the wsdl reference and do a build and deploy to sar. The resulting sar is defective and cannot be deployed to Weblogic even if both build and deploy to sar report success. The defective sar contains only scac.log and scac-log.xml, not even composite.xml.
    One difference between this BPEL process and others I have successfully upgraded is that it depends on an ESB service (this esb service has been upgraded and deployed to 11g).
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,

    I will answer my question. I killed the migrating Java process and the migrating wizard will report failure of migrating the .jpr file. Actually, the only thing missing in the migrated .jpr file is deployment profile which I can generate from deployment menu. And I can deploy the migrated process. This works as a workaround.
