[10g] Down Arrow in a list appears GRAY instead of BLACK

Hi,
I have to migrate 6i forms module to 11g
In 6i the list element is displayed in black, in 11g it is displayed in gray.
I have set the foreground color to black.
What else could I do?

1. You did not get an error message telling you that your iPhoto library was getting full. You got a message telling you that your HD was getting full, right?
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on.
Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially.
Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do.
Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.
Your Library has been damaged from being run on an overfull disk.
How much free space on it now?

Why does my hotmail scroll bar down arrow turn into a diagonal resize instead?

With Firefox 5 in my hotmail account, when I try to use the down arrow on the scroll bar the down arrow turns into a diagonal resize instead. The diagonal resize works, but it won't let me use the down arrow to scroll down. The scroll up arrow still works okay. This doesn't happen when I use Internet Explorer with my hotmail account.

HP LaserJet Pro 200 m251nw - Printing Gray instead of Black

HI,
Hoping someone can help. I'm currently using a HP LaserJet Pro 200 m251nw printer, just over a year old, and it all of sudden started printing gray where it should be 100% black. From what I can see all the other colors seem to work fine.
I saw similar posts but nothing clear.
A new black toner cartridge was replaced, system settings restored, multiple cleanings, etc. I currently use a Mac Laptop running Mavericks with the latest drivers that I downloaded.
Am I out of luck? Is this beyond a software issue?

Thanks for providing that information clodsgn.
Since the self test is printing in gray, it would be a hardware issue. Possibly the toner, hardware or the fuser.
What are all the toner levels?
This can affect the output of the black printing.
Are you using all Genuine HP Toner?
The options are probably different, since you changed to Laserjet 251nw drivers. You can change driver back if you like.
Since right now we are looking at a hardware issue.
Run a calibration on the printer.
On the printer touch the wrench, system setup, print quality, color calibration calibrate now.
Print a Diagnostics Page to see if you have the same results. Trying to determine if it is a hardware or software issue.
Go to Setup, Reports, arrow down and select Diagnostics Report. Check the color blocks, any shadows, each corner check the L-shaped to see if the printer is alignment.

I created garage band songs and they syched gray instead of black and won't play on touch

I write songs and made a garage band version via audacity. When I synched the songs to my touch from iTunes, they were 'gray' in color, not black, as normal and will not play on the touch. The only difference between these and previous songs is the use of garage band for the music. Help!!!

Do they play in iTunes? If so:
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

TS4062 songs appear gray and won't play

Songs appear gray instead of black and will not play. This is happening to newly downloaded songs from itunes as well as some older songs already on my device and in the library.

Are they Checked? Right click on greyed out song and if Check selection appears at the bottom then it is not checked.
If not that it could be that Itunes Match is still completing the process. To Turn iTunes match off Store > Turn off itunes Match.
Or a combination of the two

JComboBox - selection down arrow not appearing

Hi All,
I am writing a swing application which uses a JComboBox with a Vector<String> as it's constructor arguments. This JComboBox is then added to a JPanel derived class which is in turn added to a JFrame. The JComboBox works fine but the selection down arrow does not appear for some reason.
So I built a quick test application (in a similar fashion) and the JComboBox also works fine but this time the selection down arrow does appear.
I can't figure out what I'm doing different. Can anyone tell me the circumstances under which the down arrow will / will not appear in a JComboBox?

Hi,
The reason I had used this approach is that sometime I wish the content pane to hold a JPanel type component (only) and sometimes a JTable type (only). I had (foolishly perhaps) assumed that this would not be possible with a standard layout manager.
As es5f2000 suggests I shall investigate a CardLayout manager.
If this does not succeed I shall keep the present system which currently works fine (maybe performance issues?). The bounds and size of the parent container are both work fine so long as I remember to call .validate() on the new component being added to the JFrame.
The JFrame itself is specifically set to be a fixed non-resizable size, surely this is a case in which although not recommended, it's ok to use absolute positioning?

Slowing Down Arrow Keys when Drawing Geometric Shapes?

I have a MacPro Intel 8-core with 16 GB RAM and running Mac OSX 0.5.6 and AICS4.
I also use a WACOM Intuos3 Tablet.
This is not a new problem - also happened with AICS3.
When I try to draw a shape - say a polygon, or star, etc., the up/down arrow keys on the keyboard do add/subtract sides, vertexes, etc. as they should, but they won't increase/decrease in increments. For instance if I draw a 5 sided Polygon and tap the down arrow while using the polygon tool, instead of giving me a 4 sided polygon, I get a triangle. Conversly, if I tap the up arrow it jumps to maybe a 20 sided polygon, but no way to slow it down to get say a 10 sided polygon.
Does anyone else experience this behavior. Is there a trick i am missing?

It's a very common issue and primarily due to the WACOM drivers from what I see. There is no work around for it that I'm aware of, other than to unplug the tablet.

How can I go BACK to the site I was at, say, 5 site previous or forward without hitting the BACK arrow 5 times? The previous version had a drop down box with a list of previous sites I could click on.

It can take a while to go back by hitting the back arrow again and again. The previous version had a drop down box that listed nine or ten previous URLs. This allowed me to pick out which one I wanted by clicking on that URL. Version 4 doesn't have this feature or, if it does, I cannot find it. Is this capability on Version 4, and if so, how can I find it?

You can get the drop down list by either right-clicking on the back/forward buttons, or holding down the left button until the list appears.

The tab list drop down arrow has disappeared and can't be restored through the customize dialog.

The dropdown arrow used to be there, as well as the tab scroll arrows when many tabs are open. But both suddenly disappeared. When I bring up the customize dialog, I can then see the drop down arrow in the tab bar, but if I click restore default set and close the customize dialog, there is still no dropdown arrow. If I open the customize dialog and drag the arrow into the dialog, it shows up there. But if I try to drag it back to the tab bar and then click Done, it still does not appear.

You will only see the "List All Tabs" button in Firefox 12+ if there are that many tabs open that you get the Tab bar scroll buttons appearing.

In the address bar, when i hit the pull down arrow to show the list of sites i frequently visit i usually click on where i want to go...say espn.com, lately, when i click on the espn.com or any of the other sites listed, nothing happens, its stays on google, my home page. Pls help

I want to clear the down arrow list on navigation bar, how?

Most browsers have a down arrow to look for past entries of url's. Alot of those are no use to me now, and some embarrassing. The history is fine, but how to clear that list?

You can prevent history from appearing in that bar. It will still appear in your history lists.

Drop down arrows on web parts don't appear to do anything. Bad installation? (2 questions)

I am working with SharePoint 2010 Foundation. When I add a web part (a library, list, calendar, etc.) to the main page of my site, the body of the web part is fine. However, there's a problem with the drop down arrow on the far right side of
the Title of the web part. The last installation of SharePoint 2010 I worked with, that drop down arrow called up the Web Part Menu. In this current installation, it does nothing. This makes it difficult to define a view for the web page.
I'm assuming that the installation of SharePoint Foundation 2010 didn't quite work right or my security is set incorrectly. (SharePoint is new to the organization and I have the best user skills.) What does IT need to do to make the menu appear?
I also have SharePoint Designer 2010 installed on my desktop. I can open Web Part Properties in SharePoint Designer 2010, but Views does not appear on this menu, either. Is this just a limitation with SharePoint Designer 2010, or is this something
that IT also needs to fix (and how)?

On Mac, need to navigate to first google search listing by keystroke, the tab key works sometimesand sometimes the down arrow works, nothing works consistently

If I do a search using the google search engine, say of a phone number like (530) 335-5414 it results in a page with about 10 to 15 listing. Here is what the page looks like

I am on a mac and I need to find a keyboard command to get me reliably to select the first listing . When the caret appears next to the listing I can press the enter key to open the underlying hyperlink.
I have had success doing this with the tab key and sometimes it works almost 8 times in a row. Then I sometimes use the down arrow key and it occasionally gets me there. IS THERE A RELIABLE KEYBOARD NAVIGATION TO THE FIRST LISTING ON A GOOGLE SEARCH RESULT PAGE. I don't understand why my keyboard only works occasionally to navigate in this way . This is very important for me to do this and maybe someone out there knows how to get to select the first listing on a page by keyboard that works.

This is becoming incredibly frustrating. It happens at random time and a restart of the computer is all that helps, then with out any notice it starts to do this again. Mac Book Pro i7 2.2 16 GB 1333 Ram, (2) 450GB SSD both internal to machine. At this point I am losing file because I am unable to save in the file type I need. Does anyone out there know how to solve this issue?

I haven't been unify photoshop much in the past month, but I did try your suggestion and it seemed to work for a while. Today when i went to save a document the same thing happened: click on file>save at this point I can not click on save even though it is highlighted. Tryed to use command s that brings up the save dialogue box, but when I try to change file type I again cannot select it from the drop down menu.
