10G EM - Unable to do OS Login

Hi,
i have installed EM 10G on a True64 Server. All works fine except things where EM must do a OS Login. If i enter the correct Preffered Credentinals and click on Test i get:
"Connection to Host sysman as User entman1 failed:"
I have setup the Trace Levels and check the Log files with no success. I also checked to use the nmo Binary from the Commandline without any Problem.
Does anybody have the same Problem or any suggestion?
regards
Peter

Is ´"Connection to Host sysman as User entman1 failed:" followed by an additional message? Recently I have had the message : :"Connection to host as user oracle failed: Failure in parsing response object
- got NULL"
The solution - or better workaround - was to remove proxy settings from emoms.properties. I don't know, why the proxy server is used (in my opinion, it is only needed for integrated MetaLink access).

  • Unable to access the login screen using web browser

    Hi!
I have recently downloaded the peoplesoft HCM template from edelivery.oracle.com and created two virtual machines namely HCM-DB and PIA-APP. Now both the virtual machines are able to ping to each other but are unable to ping to the Oracle virtual server nor to the base machine on which the Oracle virtual manager is installed. Both the viirtual machine, the oracle vm server and oracle vm manager are in the same network 192.168.1.0.
Secondly if I am starting the database then the PIA server. Still I am unable to access the login screen using the following url:- http://nsoln.com:8000/ps/signon.html.
As, I am new to this field, any help would be a great asset for me to resolve the above issue.
    Thanking you..
    Yours Sincerely
    Santosh

Check the server name in your httpd.conf file
(ORACLEHOME\Apache\Apache\conf\httpd.conf) and look to see if it is in capital letters. If it is edit it to lower case. Reboot.

  • How can I stop the yellow browser bar from appearing? the one which says "unable to contact the login server"???

this yellow bar appears constantly while I am using the internet. It says" LastPass was unable to contact the login server, etc., etc."
It is very annoying, and causes my screen to jump about when it is being active.
I am using windows 7 on a HP desktop.

hello Larryrush, please contact lastpass's support about this issue - they can likely give you better advice and are the only people who can resolve server errors in their network.

  • JAAS Error, Unable to locate a login configuration

Maybe I can get some help with this one. Seem when I try to run my little login program as a jsp under Tomcat 4.1 I get the following
java.lang.SecurityException: Unable to locate a login configuration
First I modiied java.security like this:
    # Default login configuration file
    login.config.url.1==file:${java.home}/login.config
    That didn't work
next I modified Tomcats setclasspath.bat like this
    set RUNJAVA="%JAVAHOME%\bin\java -Djava.security.auth.login.config=C:\j2sdk1.4.2_02\jre\login.config"
    That didn't work.
Next I created a jar that contained the login.config and put it into MyApplication/WEB-INF/lib
    that didn't work.
So I am wondering if anyone here can tell me how to get my little JAAS login program working as either a servlet or a jsp? Why can't it find my login.config file? Works fine when I run directly with java
    like this
    java LoginJaas
    thanks in advance
    jim

thanks for the advice, I've tried that too. I think I have a permissions problem. Tomorrow I am going to bug our consultant, the one that got me into this mess in the first place. It has got to me a permissions of configuration problem cause everything works great, until I put the login logic into a servlet container.
    thanks again for the reply

  • Unable to reach Workspace Login Page

    Hi,
First some background - I am an Apex developer / administrator. I do not have a DBA background. DBAs install the Apex software and I administer the webserver (although my experience with webservers is that which I've picked up using Apex) and develop applications.
We are currently upgrading our DEV, QA and PROD APEX installations from 2.2.1 to 3.1.1 (specifically 3.1.1.00.09).
We are using Oracle HTTP Server from the Oracle 10.1 companion disk.
We completed this for our DEV and QA environments without a problem. We have not done this for our PROD environment yet.
We also installed APEXLIB 1.7 in both DEV and QA. This was working successfully in DEV. We had not tried it yet in QA.
Both 3.1.1 upgraded environments have been running successfully for about 10 days since the upgrade.
However our QA environment (Oracle 10.2.0.3 running on HP-UX B.11.11 ) experienced a problem yesterday - we can no longer access any Apex applications including the Workspace login pages or application login pages.
The error we get in the browser is:
Expecting p_company or wwv_flow_company cookie to contain security group id of application owner.
Error ERR-7620 Could not determine workspace for application ().
We experienced a problem with our QA environment before (prior to upgrade) and we needed to flush the shared pool a few months ago as a temporary fix for this as has been noted on this forum. The problem in question was addressed in this forum post: Re: ORA-06502:PL/SQL: numeric or value error: NULL index table key value
However, with the current problem, flushing the shared pool has not solved the issue. It may not be related.
When we access the workspace login page: http://our_url/apex/crmqa/f?p=4550:1, I see nothing in the Apache logs to indicate an error.
The access_log.xxx file in the Apache logs lists this ...
    ip_address_here - apex_public_user [16/Jul/2008:15:15:15 -0500] "GET /apex/crmqa/f?p=4550:1 HTTP/1.1" 200 455
    The error_log.xxx file is empty.
I temporarily turned on mod_plsql logging
When I tried to access http://our_url/apex/crmqa/f?p=4550:1

The DAD entries above point to databases on which Apex is version 3.1.1 and we have modified the image prefix on these database to be a value of /i31, using the script reset_image_prefix.sql.
This DAD file also contains DAD entries (not included above) for other database running Apex 2.2.1 which are using the default image prefix value of /i
I can ping the database ip address from the machine on which the OHS webserver is running.
I have installed OHS on my local laptop and have the same problems.
I can however execute a procedure on the database using the same OHS / DAD configuration running something like http://our_url/apex/crmqa/schema_name.test_connection?v_wait=1where the proc test_connection proc sleeps for v_wait seconds before returning a simple html page confirming that it worked.
I can login to the apex_public_user account via my SQL Developer client
At this point I do not know what else to try to resolve this issue. I am about to start trawling through metalink for related issues if I can find anything.
Any assistance is very much appreciated...
    Thank you.

This document is being delivered to you via Oracle Support's Rapid Visibility (RaV) process, and therefore has not been subject to an independent technical review.
    Applies to:
Oracle Application Express (formerly HTML DB) - Version: 2.0.0.0.49
This problem can occur on any platform.
    Symptoms
On the Application builder page, when attempting to click details to view the applications, the following error occurs:
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: NULL index table key value
However, the problem seems to disappear after a while..
    Changes
Upgrade of database (from any version to 10.2.0.1 or 10.2.0.2)
    Cause
The reason is due to database Bug 4752541 Abstract: APPSST 10G: ORA-6550 AFTER UPGRADE TO 10.2.0.1. However Patch 47552541 is obsoleted and not available via metalink, it was superceded by Patch 5705795.
This bug is fixed in patchset 10.2.0.4 and above. For current and older versions, Patch 5705795 must be applied. If the patch cannot be found for a particular version or O/S , log a service request with Oracle Support to obtain the patch.
This is also documented in the Apex forum page: Re: wwv_flow.accept error lists the following bug as
    root cause.
    Solution
    Interim solution:
Flush the database shared pool when the problem occurs
    Permanent solution:
Upgrade database to 10.2.0.4 or above
    OR
Download and apply database Patch 5705795. If the version for your database is not available , create a new Service request from metalink under product RDBMS to request for a patch

  • Unable to change automatic login

I run a small computer lab with iMacs (intel). Each computer has at least two accounts -- one of which has admin privileges. When a computer starts up, I want it to login directly to a user account and bypass the login window. For some reason even though I login with the admin account, in the Accounts preferences pane->Login Options the "Automatic Login" drop down menu is gray and I am unable to choose a user. Any ideas?
to summarize, here's what I'm doing:
    1) login to an admin account
    2) choose accounts pref pane->login option
    3) unlock the pane
    4) "Automatic Login" is gray. I am unable to choose or see any possible selections.

How did you reinstall? A&I, saving user and network data? If so, then the corruption that existed carried over to the restored installation. Try an Erase & Install, recreating the two accounts.

  • Inbrowser editing unable to connect to login to URL

Is anyone else having login issues to Adobe® Muse™ CC In-Browser Editing ?

    Hi Gaurav
Thanks for coming back to me. I have investigated and it seems like it is my ISP having an issue with my ADSL. I am the only one unable to access the URL while others can. So waiting to hear back from them.
    Thanks so much

  • Cisco ASR1001-X SFP-10G-SR: unable to bring 10G port up

    Dear colleagues,
I have connected a Cisco ASR1001-X 10G port to a 10G port on the Cisco 7606-S.  The SFP on my ASR1001-X is SFP-10G-SR and the SFP on the 7606-S is XENPAK-10GB-LX4. I am using an MMF fibre patching. I am unable to bring the port up. I have a temp license for the ASR 10G port. Is that sufficient to bring the port up?
I have tried connecting the SFP-10G-SR to a XFP-10G-MM-SR on another ASR but this did not work either.  I am able to connect the XFP-10G-MM-SR to one another and also the SFP-10G-SR  to one another. So there appears to be an issue when I mix the SFPs.
    Can any one help please?

The SFP on my ASR1001-X is SFP-10G-SR and the SFP on the 7606-S is XENPAK-10GB-LX4. I am using an MMF fibre patching.
The two fibre optic modules are on different wavelengths so the link won't come up.

  • 10g Report Unable To Find PL/SQL Library

We just upgraded to 10g Forms and Reports.
I'm trying to open a report using Report Builder and it gives me the message "Warning: Unable to find PL/SQL Library 'REPORTS_MSI'".
I've compiled and copied the REPORTS_MSI.PLL and .PLX to the Bin directory, Reports Directory, and Forms Directory but I still keep getting the message. Where the heck is it looking for this library file?
    Thanks,
    NumbNutz

    Hello,
Reports will use the variable REPORTS_PATH .
If you are running Reports on Windows, you can use the Microsoft utility filemon
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896642.aspx
to check where the PLL /PLX is searched for ...

however, i just can't run this login program.
can anyone help me in finding any errors in this code, or is their any problem with tomcat ?
    here is the code.
    <html>
    <body>
    <%@ page import="java.sql.,java.io." %>
         <%      string a,b;
              string query;

Problem in your code syntax itself. try to understand the JDBC concepts.

  • Adobe Story Desktop App - unable to get past login

This problem is not present on all my home computers or laptops which leads me to believe this will be an issue with my computer.
On my 2012 iMac I was recently able to launch, login and work inside Adobe Story Desktop. Last night I went to launch the app and installed both the application and Air update, after that I lunched the desktop app and entered my CC login details, however once I do this the 'signing in' popup appears, then disapears and leaves me at the 'learn more' & 'sign in' screen. I can't get past this.
I have tried uninstalling the desktop app, restarting and reinstalling the app, but this has not solved the problem.
I have opened Story inside Chrome and Firefox on the same computer and have no problems.
I also tried using the desktop app on my laptop this morning and it still works, however I decided not to update both the app and Adobe Air as I was worried this was causing my the problem with the desktop app.
Any help on the matter would be welcomed.
    Thanks!

[Please do not try these steps if you are a free user]
    Hi,
I am assuming that you have remaned the 'com.adobe.adobestory' folder that is present inside 'ELS' folder and you are still facing this issue.
If yes, then please try these steps:
    - Quit Adobe Story if it is running.
    - Open Finder.
    - Press Cmd + Shift + G and press enter after pasting this location: ~/Library/Preferences/
    - Open folder 'com.adobe.AdobeStory.**some-random-number**'
    - Open folder 'LocalStore' and rename file 'offlineAccountInfoStorage' to something else, e.g. 'offlineAccountInfoStorage12'
    - Launch Adobe Story and try to login.
Let me know if these steps workout for you.
    Thanks
