10g: How to install example schema

Hi,
how can I install the HR example schema in 10g?
$ORACLE_HOME\demo\schema\human_resources containes only hr_code.sql which is not the main script. While $ORACLE_HOME\demo\schema\mkplug.sql asks for an import file name.
thanks
aldo

Even when these scripts are missing one can use the DBCA to install these sample schema. How does DBCA do it . I doubt that it uses the mkplug.sql script it even creates a log named as mkplug_v3_SID.txt.
but then it seems that one can not run it manually easily as the path of datafile and export files are not specified anywhere .

BUT my purpose to install database is to do Advanced installation of SOA. For that i need to have few schemas like 'SOABPEL' already created in the database. Following is the problem i am facing while installing the schema in the database -
    The schema files resides in soa_windows_x86_101310_disk1\install\soa_schemas\irca folder. As per the installation pdf, i need to run the irca.sh shell script to install the 'SOABPEL', 'SOAESB' and 'SOAOWSM' schemas. but i am not sure how do i run this shell script from the windows environment? I don't think i can use unix prompt for this? Please guide.

    The error is-
    ERROR: Cannot find library - \jdbc\lib\ojdbc14.jar

  • How to install examples?

    There are supposed to be some example databases that are used with some tutorial that are in the same download directory as the zip files for Oracle 11g.
    So I finally have sqldeveloper connecting to the new instance of the database.
    When I try to run the setup program for the example databases, I get the following error:
    [INS-32025] The chose installation conflicts with software already installed in the given oracle home.
    [INS-52001] Oracle Database Examles can only be installed into an existing home.
    Ok, I installed using all the defaults (except the character encoding, I chose UTF8).
    But no directory I specify works! I have tried
    C:\app\siegfried
    C:\app\siegfried\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1 (the home directory for the database).
    C:\app\examples
    I always get error INS-32025. What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks,
    siegfried

  • How to install patch GridControl_10.2.0.4_Win32 on oracle 10g r2

    Hi
    How to install GridControl_10.2.0.4_Win32 on windows 2003 for Oracle 10g r2.
    If any one has steps ,please send me.

    Hi
    You will have to install each components for your grid controller
    - Management Server (OMS): Middle tier server that handles communication with the intelligent agents. The OEM Console connects to the management server to monitor and configure the Oracle enterprise.
    - Database repository
    - Agent repository
    - Agents on all the servers
    Please dedicated specific homes for each components.
    Enterprise Manager is installed on multiple Oracle homes within the Oracle base directory. This means that a typical Enterprise Manager Grid Control installation creates three Oracle homes in different Oracle home directories. For example, oms10g, db10g, and agent10g.

    The best place to begin would be with the documenation library, available at http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_17/bi.htm
    In particular take a look at Ch 2 About Oracle Business Intelligence installations and OracleAS Infrastructures of the Oracle® Business Intelligence Discoverer Configuration Guide, 10g Release 2 (10.1.2.1) for Microsoft Windows and Solaris Operating System (SPARC), B13918-03, available at http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_17/bi.1012/b13918/toc.htm
    Information on the actual installation steps are covered in the Oracle Application Server Quick Installation Guides.
    For example, in the Oracle® Application Server Quick Installation Guide 10g Release 2 (10.1.2) for Microsoft Windows, Part No B15908-01, look at Ch 7 Installing Portal and Wireless or Business Intelligence and Forms Developer Topology (includes OracleAS Infrastructure), available at http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_17/win.1012/quickinstall.1012/quickinstall/quick_install.htm#sthref25

    Hi everybody,
    I installed 11gR2 on Solaris 10 x86-64 into a zone for testing purpose only and used the following variable:

    # database or not.
    oracle.install.db.config.starterdb.installExampleSchemas=false
    It works pretty good but still got the scott schema an all his tables.
    So please could someone give me a tip what goes wrong and how to avoid installing this schema onto the database.

  • How to install Oracle Label Security in Oracle Database 10g EE

  • How to Install Oracle 10g in Windows 7 Home premium 64bit operating system

    Hi,
    I am using Windows 7 Home premium 64bit operating system. While i was installing oracle 10g i got error and not able to install. How to install the Oracle 10g databse on this operating system. Is there any patch to install this or i have to use other version of oracle with window 7 operating system?
    Thanks in advance
    Mayank Adhikari

    The argument would be who wants to install Oracle database on Windows 7. I think most probably by the developers who wants to "Try" something prior deal with a production database, right?
    For a developer, installing database using the hack is more than NOT having a local database running from the local system. I installed all the products mentioned with windows7bugs post and used the following tools to successfully connect and retrive data from the database instances.
    Toad 9.7.x.x
    SQL Developer
    SQL/Plus
    Developer 6i (Another hack, please check this link http://windows7bugs.wordpress.com/2010/03/01/installing-oracle-developer-forms-reports-6i-on-windows-7-64bit/).
    I think the discussion about whether all the features of client/server are still available with such a hacked installation is meaningless as far the information requested was strictly for Windows 7, not for a Server OS.

  • How to install SOA 10g on Windows 7 64-bit platform?

    Hi Friends
    How to install SOA 10g on Windows 7 64-bit platform ?
    I've downloaded the 64-bit version downloadable from OTN and able to run the irca.bat on DB 10.2.0.3 however the SOA Installer fails at BPEL Config Assistant step with errors :
    deploy-applications:
    Deploying Oracle BPEL Process Manager ...
    Copying 1 file to C:\SOA134\bpel\system\services\lib
    Copying 1 file to C:\SOA134\bpel\system\services\lib

    Failed at "Could not get DeploymentManager".
    This is typically the result of an invalid deployer URI format being supplied, the target server not being in a started state or incorrect authentication details being supplied.
    More information is available by enabling logging -- please see the Oracle Containers for J2EE Configuration and Administration Guide for details.

    Hi,
    We know now why SOA Installer fails...
    Now we need to know why you can not start OC4J properly. What do you see in the log files?

  • How to install Oracle 10g on to Red Hat Linux 5 Server

    I'm new to both Linux and Oracle. I've been working on an installion of Oracle 10g on a Red Hat Linux 5 Server for about 2 weeks. I've been doing a lot of reading about installing Oracle on a Linux environment. I finally got to the installation portion and the Oracle Installer displayed a message that I had to have Red Hat 4 or 4 Enterprise to continue.
    How can Install Oracle 10g onto a Red Hat 5 Linux Server"? Is there an option that I can use to bypass the OS checking?
    Thanks

    Unfortunately there is no way to access metalink without a valid account. You could then just try to skip preinstall requisites with this clause:
    ./runInstaller -ignoreSysPrereqs
    or this method:
    Copy the oraparam.ini from the installation source install/oraparam.ini to /tmp directory.
    Edit the file /tmp/oraparam.ini so this file reads:
    After
    [Certified Versions]
    Linux=redhat-3,SuSE-9,redhat-4,UnitedLinux-1.0,asianux-1,asianux-2,redhat-5
    also, make sure you have these packages installed:
    # rpm -ivh gcc-c++-4.1.1-52.el5.i386.rpm gcc-4.1.1-52.el5.i386.rpm
    libstdc++-devel-4.1.1-52.el5.i386.rpm glibc-devel-2.5-12.i386.rpm
    glibc-headers-2.5-12.i386.rpm libgomp-4.1.1-52.el5.i386.rpm
    libXp-1.0.0-8.i386.rpm compat-libstdc++-296-2.96-138.i386.rpm
