10g RAC ASM AIX 5.3 error message repeating in crsd.log

The crsd .log file is filling up repeatedly with the following message
2007-06-06 22:02:03.545: [ CRSEVT][629]32CAAMonitorHandler :: 0:Action Script for resource 'ora.lavl001.LISTENER_LAVL001.lsnr' stdout redirection failed for `/u02/home/oracle/product/10.2_crs/crs/log/startyhep7a.stdout` : No such file or directory
Is this expected behaviour or is an action required? What is the cause?

I have faced the same problem when i have change the listener port from 1521 to 1526. But the problem disappeared after a clean reboot of both nodes.
First i have stopped all services on both nodes and then rebooted node1, and waited until the node1 is up with all services and the rebooted node2.
I don't know what was the problem actually but got resolved.

We're running CRS on AIX. No ASM or HACMP.
We do have the db datafiles on GPFS. We've also got one voting disk on GPFS and two on raw devices.

Display error message in batch job log

Hello
I have a batch job running and I have an error coming during some validation logic.
The problem is I need to continue the batch job when this error message comes and it should not cancel the batch job as it is doing currently but display that error message in batch job log, there are more similar error messages coming in job log and job gets finished, but when my error message comes job gets cancelled.
I cannot give it as info message as it will give wrong idea about message type.
Is there any FM by which we can add message in job log?

If you see in screenshot 3rd message is given by me as information and you can see error messages also 6th and 7th and job continued till it is finished

The majority are "unfortunately, messaging has stopped", but you can replace messaging with "android os", or any other process, as it happens with more than just messaging. I have had numerous people call and ask why I didn't reply to their texts...and I look, but have not received any new texts. YES, I have restarted phone. I have cleared data as well as cache on all apps. I have downloaded the vzw messaging app, which seems silly, since it happens with several different processes and apps, but all to no avail. I am missing texts from my employer, from my family. This did happen, but rarely, before this "soak test". It is now Kitkat version 19.6.3.obake_verizon.en.US. THIS is when I started having problems...like 50 times a day kind of problems! I have seen hundreds of posts all over the internet over the past 3 days. Does no one know how to fix this??? Shouldn't there be a way to revert phone to a pre-update state? and no, hard reset did NOT work!!!! I have been with verizon for well over 15 years, but I have not upgraded my lines and will not in July either. This is ridiculous. It's not like my games aren't working, it is my messaging and "android os"...my lifeline at work!

Oh no, I am sorry to hear your messages are not working since the software update. I greatlly appreciate doing all that troubleshooting to try and get the messaging application back in business. I know how much I rely on my messages so I can understand the urgency to get this resolved. Have you had a resolution ticket opened since you started experiencing issues with your messages? Does this happen with all contacts or just some? Please provide additional information to ensure we get to the bottom of this for you.

Oracle 10g RAC+ASM - Storage Issue

I’ve an issue related to Oracle 10g RAC.
I’ve 2 node cluster each being Dell 2850 Server with RHEL 4.0
I’ve EMC CX300 SAN storage with following partitions
/orasoft     10 Gb          OCFS2 File system
/oracrs          2 Gb          OCFS2 File system
/orabackup      100 Gb          OCFS2 File system
The datafiles are on ASM which is not directly visible in OS.
I’ve common Oracle Home installed in /orasoft/db_1 which is shared by both nodes in cluster.
I’ve faced an issue recently related to EMC storage.
The /orasoft partition displays 1.4 Gb space available using df command.
With both nodes sharing the common Oracle Home (/orasoft/db_1), when ever I try to touch a file I get an error as No Space left on device. I’m unable to start any service with the same reason.
Is this setup correct ??
Can anyone help me with this storage issue ??

Hi,
If you create a new diskgroup you may be to add the same diskgroup to parameter file or spfile and which will be needing down time.
sugestion: Instead of creating new diskgroup you should to add disk to existing group.if you add asm disk to existing group your all problem will be solved and Oracle itself will be managing all.And than i am sure no need to add entry in the parameter or spfile like +db_create_file_dest=.....

The question is, using ASM do we still need to configure GPFS ?

Custom error message in SAP application log

Is there a way to add a custom error message to the SAP application log without passing the message variables MSGV1, MSGV2, MSGV3, MSGV4 and the Message class and number.
We want to pass a custom message from the BAPIRET2-MESSAGE without giving it a Message class and number. The reason for this is that we are using class based exceptions instead of the traditional message class with errors. When we catch the class based exception, we take the error text of the exception and put in in the BAPIRET2-message and set the BAPIRET2-TYPE as 'E'. Now we want to add this to the SAP application log.
The call to 'BAL_LOG_MSG_ADD' takes a structure BAL_S_MSG which is just like BAPIRET2. However this function builds the entry to the application log use the message variables MSGV1, MSGV2, MSGV3, MSGV4. There is no provision to pass in the BAPIRET2 message.
Add message to application log

This FM is represented by the structure BAL_S_EXC. This can have various versions as described below:
Data of BAL_S_EXC Structure / Use
EXCEPTION / Exception class from which an exception text
 is added to the log. This field must be filled.
MSGTY / Message type (MSGTY) of a T100 message.
 This field must also be filled for exceptions.
PROBCLASS,
DETLEVEL,
ALSORT, TIME_STMP / Message or exception attributes, such as
 problem class (PROBCLASS, for
 example, "very important"), level of detail
 (DETLEVEL, from 1 to 9), sort criterion
 (ALSORT, unrestricted) and timestamp
 (TIME_STMP). These fields can be displayed
 in the log (except TIME_STMP).
MSG_COUNT / This attribute is not used for exceptions.

in my personal opinion there is not much for you to worry about.
The 'Windows Tool for the elimination of malware' is nothing you miss as long as you have a decent Anti-Virus Software running.
The update for the IE 7 might be missing an installed IE 7, which can do by downloading it yourself from Microsofts webpage.
If you don't use the IE but something like Firefox or Opera or Safari, than don't bother with these update.

Restart.. Reset.. Restore from Backup.. Restore as New...
Try a Reset of the Phone... You will Not Lose Any Data...
Turn the Phone Off...
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
The Apple logo will Appear and then Disappear...
Usually takes about 10 - 15 Seconds...
Turn the Phone On...

BSI error message in US payroll log

Hi,
I have updated the configuration for a new US tax authority (Mount Lebanon). When I run payroll for the employee that the change effects, I get the following BSI error message:
"1044 Your request to use the additional tax code 9 for the Mount Lebanon local service tax is not allowed. This tax has been calculated using no additional tax. BSI Tax Calculation."
In fact, it didn't calculate the tax. How do I resolve this?

I'm encountering the same area for the Local Services Tax, but for a different tax authority. I believe I have all the tax config in place, but I must have missed something. Is there anything particular that you remember about the error or the config?
