10SE / AT300SE Youtube crashes when searching

Hello there
Youtube(not the stock one, the auto updated one), when I try to search, Youtube crashes.
here's what I tried so far:
-Uninstall the updates (works ok, but Youtube keeps autoupdating, and the problem returns back.)
- tried to clear the cache/reset, but does nothing either.
- tried to Logout from the account.
- and of course I tried a restart.
does anyone has a solution for this?

That sounds like a bug with the YouTube app. You could try contacting Google or disabling the app from auto-updating.

  • IOS 6 crashes when searching on App Store

    iPod touch 4g iOS 6.
Updated because I thought iOS 6 would improve the minor lag I had before. Opposite.
Lags when scrolling. Crashes EVERY time I search for an app on the App Store
This isn't only me. Go do a google search (bet google doesn't release unfinished firmwares) iOS 6 App Store crash
    This is ridiculous.
Oh right, I restored my iPod before updating so its not because "I have too many apps"
Just something to think about. Test the updates before you release them to the public
I mean I can't even search for apps. It crashes EVERY TIME
I'd be 100% a ok with this if it was still beta but come on apple. This is an official release

I had to do the EXACT same thing with my iPod! (I was running out of space because I backed up my iPod too often) And it seems to only crash when I search for YouTube...
They seriously need to fix this...

  • Oulook 2007 Shared Mailbox keeps crashing when searching an e-mail/item

    Hi Colleagues,
Need your expert help about my shared mailbox, It keeps crashing when Im trying to search back e-mails and it's getting a hard time connecting to exchange as well. We're using OST files and not PST by the way.
I tried to update or fix Index with outlook but seems does not help at all. Any suggestion? Thanks in advance. :)
    Cklyde

When you say it's crashing, what is actually happening? Is Outlook actually crashing so the app closes, or it is simply going unresponsive and giving a message saying that it's not responding? If it's the latter case then that doesn't necessarily tell you
it's crashed, simply that it's busy, so if you leave it and let it finish it will eventually respond again.
When you say this is a shared mailbox, is it the only mailbox you have setup in Outlook, or it is setup as an additional mailbox, eg in addition to your own mailbox? If it's an additional mailbox then keep in mind that it won't be cached in your local .ost
file. In Outlook 2007 it can only cache the main mailbox, not additional mailboxes, only 2010+ caches additional mailboxes. Is the exchange server on the local network, or is it remote? If it's remote than that could be the issue, since when doing the search
Outlook will have to connect to Exchange and search the email there rather than locally, and that will take a lot longer than searching from the local cached copy.

When searching "people" via the main search input, we get:

What type of DB maintenance is regularly required to keep SW in top shape.

  • PSE10 Crashes when searching for duplicate photos

    Hello,
I recently upgraded to PSE10 and imported my catalog from a different machine (which had been running XP).  Unfortunately, I ended up with a bunch of duplicate entries in the catalog, one with the path c:\users\... the other with c:\my documents\...  These paths both point to the same image on the hard drive.
When I try to Search for Duplicate Photos (from Find>By Visual Searches), PSE invariably crashes.  I am running PSE10 under Windows 7 (full system info at the end of this message).
Any idea why this might be happening, and is there a different way I can remove the duplicate entries in the catalog?
    Thanks,
    Chris
    Full system info:
    Elements Organizer 10.0.0.0
    Core Version: 10.0 (20110914.m.17521)
    Language Version: 10.0 (20110914.m.17521)
    Current Catalog:
    Catalog Name: My Photos
    Catalog Location: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\My Photos\
    Catalog Size: 52.3MB
    Catalog Cache Size: 391.7MB
    System:
    Operating System Name: Windows 7
    Operating System Version: 6.1
System Architecture: Intel CPU Family:6 Model:5 Stepping:2 with MMX, SSE Integer, SSE FP

    Free Memory: 705.3MB
    Important Drivers / Plug-ins / Libraries:
    Microsoft DirectX Version: 9.0

    Adobe Reader Version: 10.1
    Adobe Acrobat Version: Not installed
    CD and DVD drives:

If I understand well, what you are calling 'duplicates' are duplicate entries in the catalog, the same media being called either by its original path+filename or shortcut path+filename.
The organizer will try open two different files to compare them, but when trying to open the second 'shortcut', the file will be already blocked (in use). That could explain the failure of the comparison for similarity.
Try creating a new catalog with similar images, for instance jpegs and png copies. Does the visual search work ?
About backup and restore : If my supposition is right, that should work if you try to restore to a new custom location with keeping the file structure : the backup should create real file duplicates on different paths. If it works, finding visual duplicate should work, although this process may take a very long time.

  • Acrobat Pro Extended 9 crashes when searching large directory

I use the "Edit - Search - All PDF Documents in" Search capabilities a lot and it crashes every time. A recent crash occurred after reaching 320 hits in 65 documents in a directory with over 2250 documents (including subdirectories).

One of our users is having a similar problem.    He always leaves Elements open in the background so I'm wondering if this is causing problems when he downloads and opens pdfs using Acrobat Standard 9.  He also seeing the images stretch to the point of seeing a bunch of horizontal lines.  Has anyone offered any solutions?

  • Maps app crash when searching starts with a 'k'

When I do a search in the maps app. that begins with the letter k, (I was looking to see where kuwait was), the app crashes. I was wondering if anybody else has this problem and how I could fix it.
    Message was edited by: Andycov

The problem doesn't occur on my system, so I doubt it's a bug in the Maps app, anyway. Have you tried restarting your iPad? (Hold down the power button until you get the red "slide to power off", do so, and then press the power button again to start the iPad back up.)
    Hope that helps.

  • GNOME shell crashes when searching

Hello everyone this is my first post
My problem is when in the GNOME shell using the search function every time I type more than 2 letters it crashes
The last thing I did was install a bunch of themes
    I have a very similar problem to https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 4#p1007204 I can't seem to find a solution it's a very strange problem

Not certain if you are having the same problem I was but mine was caused by running a kernel with bfq switched on, in noop or cfq mode everything runs fine for me.

If you update your client to the most recent version, does the issue reoccur?
How many Singh's do you have at your company?  I'm curious if there's an active directory attribute that is returned with that user that the client really just doesn't like.  Can you go into Active Directory Users and Computers, select View->Advanced
then manually find Singh (don't search) and go to the Attribute Editor tab.  Do you see any attribute in there (not just Lync attributes) that seems to have any odd or escape characters?

  • Adobe Acrobat 8.2: Crash When Searching

Using Acrobat 8 Professional on Vista Business. When I search, the program crashes:
Adobe Acrobat 8.2 has stopped working
"A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
    Never a solution, though.
    It is licensed.
    Suggestions?

First I'm assuming the printer works with every other program OK, is the true?
Second type a small note using TextEdit and save it as a .pdf to your desktop.  Does it print OK?
Third connect your printer directly to your computer via USB, Firewire etc. and try printing.  Does it print OK?
Forth there are two ways to print a document. Choose File>Print and in the "Copies & Pages" section choose "Advanced" choose (if the upper left) "print as image".  Does it print now?
Fifth try a different printer, connected directly to the computer.  Does it print now?
I use Mac OS X 10.4.11 with several printers all day long. Usually #4 does the trick.  Let me know.

  • Labview 8.5 project crashes when searching for callers of missing lvlib

I have done a search and reviewed previously reported crashes with LV8.5, but did not find a match to what I'm seeing.
SYNOPSIS: When selecting Find > Callers, under the project Dependencies, LV crashes as shown in the image below.
I created a new project and "borrowed" some vi's from another project.  Disconnected all vi's from previous libraries and proceeded to develop code last night.  All seemed well.
This morning, as I opened the project to continue coding, it complained about a missing lvlib, the one items were "borrowed" from.  No big deal, I'll just look at the dependencies and find out which one I missed.  When doing the search, the program crashes immediately.  Repeated a number of times with the same result.  Verified system performance and memory useage, minimal change when opening the project or attempting to do the search.
I will attempt a workaround, but I am curious if others have seen this as well.
I'll wait before reporting this as a "bug", until more info is gathered on this..
By the way, the original lvlib was NOT deleted, removed, moved, renamed as the error suggests..  LV actually knows where it is because it finds the directory when doing the search..
I know the routine, "simply re-install LV8.5", but I'm trying to understand more of what's gooing on and how we can avoid this..  I remember LV8.2 was crashing a lot at the beginning, then for no apparent reason, it became stable, and now I can't remember the last time it crashed..  Do others observe the same thing?  LV gets more stable with time??  LOL!  A program with personality.  Will LV turn into HAL?  LOL!!

    Good morning Jennifer,
I'll try to re-create the events from memory.
    OS:  Win-XP Pro - SP2
    1. Opened library of VI's from Agilent E4440A drivers.  Opened the "Tree.vi" to look at available vi's.  Copied (pasted) some of the vi's into a new folder.   This may be important: I deleted the folder that contained the original library.  (Actually, the zipped file was moved to a storage location).  This means LV has no idea where to find the original library.
    2. Opened all freshly copied VI at the new folder location.  They all complained about not finding the .lvlib file.  Ignored the error and disconnected every vi from the library and saved them.  All except for one which was polymorphic and I didn't need it. I forgot to delete it at this time.
    3.  Created a new folder (real) within the directory structure of an existing project which uses an lvlib. Moved the disconnected vi's into this folder.
    4. Opened the project and added the folder to the project, thus creating the virtual folder and files that were in the folder.  All this was added to the library.
Note..  I can't remember the exact steps below, but they were something close to what I describe.
    5. Cannot remember if I closed the project then opened it, but I do remember seeing a message complaining that one VI could not find the lvlib (the one from Agilent).
    6. Looked into the folder and examined the saved date, which quickly led to the polymorphic VI that was still part of the original library.  Since I was not sure if I wanted to use it later, I simply changed the extention from .vi to ._vi_.
    7.  Did some work, saved everything. Closed the project..
    8. Opened the project and got an error message about a missing .lvlib.  Again looking for the original Agilent lib. Remember that I had deleted the original library, it's folder, etc. (step 1).
    9. Everytime I would open the project, I would get the error message.  I ignore it and continue working.  Since I don't like errors , I looked at the dependencies to find out what I missed. At this time, the file with the ._vi_ extension was still in the folder.  I had forgotten about it and didn't realize that LV would pick it up.
    10. In the dependencies tree, I right-clicked the error message and selected "Find>Callers", as shown in the attached image of the original post. Got the crash message.  I repeated this 4 times.  Rebooted the PC, and repeated it twice. All the same result >>  Crash.   I may have saved a copy of the "crash" report, although I doubt it...  I didn't bother sending the report to MS; because, well, I don't have much credibility over what those guys do at MS.
    11. Looked at the folder to go through every VI to find out which one was still connected to the library.  None of them were.
    12.  Noticed the ._vi_, and figured there would be no harm to delete it.  Deleted it.  It resolved the dependencies, thus no more error, no more crash.
I am actually surprised that LV project also looks into non-DOTvi files for dependencies.  I imagined that it would ignore anything non-Labview known extentions.  This is definitely good to know.  However, the crash was a bit unexpected.
I will look for error logs.  If I have time, I may try to repeat this on my PC and send logs.  It will have to wait until I finish my surrent project (client / revenue)
    Hope the above helps.

  • YouTube crashes when trying to play video

i had a very old version of YouTube so I decided to update the app today and after I updated it, it no longer lets me watch videos. When I tap on a video it automatically crashes. Is there a solution to resolve this?

    Hello Cree88,
After reviewing your post, it sounds like an app you downloaded is not working. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

  • OS X/iOS Maps crash when searching/accessing bookmarks

I've been trying to track this one down for a while now.
Os OS X Maps crashes after a few seconds and it looks like it trying to open the bookmarks:
    MSPBookmarkStorageReadFrom
I think that one of the bookmarks has an invalid field and this is causing the Maps app to crash.
Now seeing as the bookmarks are synced with iCloud when I search on iOS the app crashes immediately.
Is there anyway for me to clear all the bookmarks without opening the Maps app?

    You can try this:
Copy and Paste this code in the Code field in the "Tools > Error Console" and click the "Evaluate" button to cleanup and compress the places.sqlite database file.
    <pre><nowiki>Components.utils.import("resource://gre/modules/PlacesDBUtils.jsm");PlacesDBUtils.checkAndFixDatabase();</nowiki></pre>

  • PDFs created in InDD CS5 and CS6 crash when searching?

When I try to search PDFs made from InDD CS5 or CS6 (full install, not cloud) on my Macs at work and at home, the application freezes (Force Quit shows "not responding).
This happens especially with large books, but also with smaller stuff.
I am on Snow Leopard on both machines and have been having this problem for over a year.
Originally I thought is was because some documents were created way back in CS2 and kept being upstepped as I upgraded versions.
Now I am beyond those old pubs, and the problem still exists.
I thought upgrading to CS6 would help, but it hasn't.
Sometimes I can search and get the first one or two instances of a word, but it still freezes.
It even happens with factory PDF settings such as "PRESS."
And yes, I have emptied the PDF cache.
I can't figure out if this is an InDD problem or Acrobat X.
There doesn't seem to be anything on the forums that I can find, either.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.
    Sunnibee

Seems more likelyt o be Acrobat than ID, in my opinion, since that's the application doing the searching.
Have youy posted in the Acrobat forum?

  • Finder crash when searching server

We recently bought a bunch of new iMacs to replace our old machines and, in the process, inheirited all sorts of new troubles with the switch to 10.8. The one that's bugging me at the moment is what appears to be a ubiquitous problem among all of users using the new machines running 10.8.3
trying to access our server running 10.5.8.
Search any folder of the server > receive results > modify the search to be LESS specific > crash.
In other words, if I change my search term from "tests" to "test" the finder will crash.
To be even MORE specific, that would crash ONLY IF if the search for "tests" returned some results. If there were no results because I simply mistyped "testb" and then changed the search to "test" this would NOT cause a crash.
I have replicated this crash on every machine running 10.8 and have been unable to replicate it on older machines running 10.7.
This is appears to be a duplicate of another question that was not really answered.
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4230958
The solution there seemed to be upgrading the server, which would imply that this is an incompatibility between a 10.8 client and a 10.5 server. Can anybody confirm that? Or offer a simpler solution than me messing with an otherwise healthy server?

It's stupid, I know. This has been a problem ever since OSX was invented and absolutely no fix has been addressed.
My solution is to quit Finder.
The simplest way to quit Finder is to press CommandOptionEscape, and then restart the Finder via the little dialog that appears. But that is a little inconvenient and hard to remember. You can add a "Quit Finder" item in the Dock's Finder icon. To do this, open Terminal and paste this command:
defaults write com.apple.finder Quit MenuItem YES ; killall Finder
There may still be a problem where the disk is now unmountable until you reboot the Mac, but that is another discussion.
