11.0.3 11x17 multi page bug

I recently upgraded everyone from a wide range of versions to 11.0.3 with a group policy.  This wasn't a problem in the past.
Details
Multi page PDF, all pages are 11x17
Windows 7 Pro x64 PCs
Symptom
When printing the first page it prints the first page correctly but the next pages print 8.5x11 size on 11x17 paper
Crappy Workaround
Print each page individually will give you the correct output.
Troubleshooting steps taken
Printing to a Xerox printer and an HP printer give the same problem.
Tried several different PDFs that were multi page ans 11x17
Printed from Acrobat 8...prints fine.
Printed from several computers with 11.0.3

If this is still an issue for anyone, I've been able to work around this by turing on "print as image" under advanced options in the print dialog box.  11x17 PDFs now print all pages properly instead of just the first one.

    I'm in a multi-page Pages document, how can i rearrange the pages or insert blank pages in front of pages? Also, is there a way to show the ruler both horizontally and vertically?

    Not on my document. I have a 7 page document open. The "flashing vertical bar" is at the top of page 3. I have the thumbnail view showing. I click page break and two blank pages are added to the end of my document. I have to scrool thru the pages to see that the 2 pages were added as they do not appear in the layout view... I'm not sure if it is inserting a "section" as it adds two blank pages.. But I am clicking on "INSERT PAGE BREAK".. So guess there are still a lot of bugs to fix..
    Thanks again

  • Acrobat Pro 9 Multi-page PDF Printing backwards thumbnails

    Any time I create a multi-page PDF and ask it to print, it will print the first page correctly and then print every subsequent page as a mirror image thumbnail in the corner of the paper. If I print each page individually it prints fine. After doing a fair bit of testing, I've found the following:
    If I de-select the option "choose paper source by pdf page size" this issue does not happen. Unfortunately, this means any multi-page PDF with 8x11 and 11x17 doesn't print the 11x17 pages properly as it just prints them on 8x11 paper.
    If I select "print as image" this issue does not happen. Unfortunately, this is unacceptable due to the blurring of lines and text that occurs when selecting this option.
    I haven't tested the various page scaling options because I am producing scaled maps, and must therefore leave it set to "none".
    Does anyone know what might be causing this, and how to resolve the issue? Printing 10-20 page documents one sheet at a time isn't exactly an ideal solution.

    Unfortunately, not only does this not solve the problem with multi-page-size documents, but it's begun happening on files which are all one size as well, where that box isn't even checked.
    It appears that what's happening is the newer versions of Adobe Acrobat don't play nicely with emulated postscript support past a certain date. We're replacing our Canon with a newer model that has actual postscript support, and if that resolves the issue I'll be certain to post confirmation here. Copies of Adobe Acrobat 7 and 8 in our office haven't seen this problem at all; it's simply everyone who has upgraded past that point that can't print reliably.
    More news next week, after we get the new copier.

  • Firefox only prints the first page of several multi-page URL's.

    When I try to print a multi page URL, it only prints the first page and identifies it as Page 1 of 1, instead of Page 1 of x.
    But, IE-8 prints ALL x pages of the same URL perfectly.
    I've noticed this exact same FF problem with certain other URL's.
    This problem is on the current version 14, and dates back to version 9 or before! Any suggestions?

    They gotta fix this. It's been a huge problem for me for more than a year. I''ll defect to Chrome soon if they dont address this bug soon. Printing has been atrocious, even pathetic, i hate to say it. I can only print one page, maybe two if i am lucky. Sometimes, if it prints more than one page, the first page is mostly blank and the formatting of the text and sidebars is completely overlapped and sometimes unreadable. Basically, printing in Firefox is useless - it's a joke. I have to take the URL from Firefox and paste it into Chrome to get a decent print job. Why isnt this bug a higher priority?

  • Multi-Page Printing in Adobe AIR

    I developed a commercial application for a client in Adobe
    AIR about 3 months ago. Now my client wants to add a printing
    feature. The problem is it requires multi-page printing based on
    the number of rows in a SQLite table.
    BUT I FOUND OUT TO MY AMAZEMENT that I'm limited to less than
    3K vertical pixels (or about less than 3 or 4 pages of printout,
    depending on the vertical size of the page in the set)!
    I was really dumbfounded (AND EMBARRASSED WITH MY CLIENT) to
    see this rather fundamental shortcoming in Adobe AIR. It is
    supposed to revolutionize desktop application development, but
    AIR's lack of such an important printing support as multi-page
    printing is really very disappointing.
    Most desktop applications require and are expected to provide
    multi-page printing. I hope the members of the AIR development team
    are listening to this well-justified criticism and will roll up
    their sleeves and work on it!
    Thanks!

  • Multi Page Forms in Adobe Muse

    Hi,
    Im trying to create a multi page form in Muse. Now I understand about just changing the landing page after form has been sent (as below) HOWEVER how can you delete the email field?...I want to do this as if I have a multi page form, each time I put a form on a page im going to have an email field which I dont want - I only want this on the first page.
    Thanks
    Paul
    You can achieve this by changing the landing page in "After Sending " dropdown.
    http://screencasts.worldsecuresystems.com/Sanju/2013-11-19_1851.png
    For example insert forms in pages , then change the landing page through "After sending" setting to another page , so that user from front end submits the form and then lands to another page which has the next step of the form. This way multi-step form can be created.
    But each form will notify you separately on submissions.
    If you are using Business Catalyst to publish then you can perform the same through BC by changing the action url of the form.
    Thanks,
    Sanjit

    Ah, I see want you mean. This might not be practical for you, but if you select one instance of the highlighted text and add a [space] to the little sticky note, all of the highlighted text on that page will appear in the summary.

  • Saving as multi-page more than once

    I recently figured out how to create multiple pages through Illustrator by saving as a pdf with page tiling. It works the very first time you save the file. Then, I try to save the file again after making corrections and the box that is normally in the print dialogue to make a multi-page pdf is not selectable anymore. I have been creating a new document and copying and pasting my imagery into a new document to save it for the "first time." Otherwise it doesn't show the option. Any suggestions?

    Two options:
    Change the portlet logic so it accepts multiple feeds and presents them all in one portletRegister multiple instances of the portlet against the single web service - they should all have separate prefsDepends on how you want to present the content. One gets you a single portlet with content in one place - the other gets you the ability to have multiple portlets distributed on the page. Personally, I find the latter maddening, but it depends on the audience and your threshhold for pain.
    Thanks,

  • HP LaserJet M1522nf Multi Page Scanning Issues

    OS: Win 7 Home 64bit
    When I try to scan documents in PDF format on the multi page scanner, the pages does not feed into the scanner. The wheels on the scanner just turn. It is almost as though the printer does not recognize there are pages in the multipage scanner. I do not experience any problems whatsoever with the flatbed scanner.
    Being stationed on Afghanistan it is not simple a case of taking it to the closest technitian.
    I have restarted the computer, the printer, Adobe PDF but nothing solves the problem.
    Then I also get a message: "HP FX Toolbox has stopped working." when I start or restart the computer. How do I fix this problem?

    I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial product. You can do this by clicking the following link: Printers - LaserJet.

  • I am having trouble printing multi-page documents on my Epson printer. 13" Macbook Pro, Adobe InDesign, Epson WF-7520

    I have a multi-page document and I want to print some of the pages, double-sided, to check my work. I can't seem to get the interface to recognise that I want to print a specific range of pages, so it will print just one page [no double-sided] or, I assume, it will print the WHOLE LOT [not good at this stage!] HEEEELLLLPPP!!
    To explain, the dialogue box which opens when you hit Command+P has an option of 'Pages' or 'Range' but 'Range' gives you only two options:  All Pages or A4V. If I click the 'Printer' button I get another dialogue box with more options and from there I can choose to print 'All' or 'Pages' . . . and you change 1 to 1 to say, 1 to 3 for example. There is also an option to print double-sided. But nothing seems to be working and as soon as you finish with this second dialogue box it seems to forget every parameter you choose there. The summary page on the first dialogue box also seems suspiciously sketchy on details of what, exactly, it is about to print. By the way I have installed the latest driver set from Apple for this printer. Is anyone else having the same problem?

    Thank you so much Eric. I did what you said. I still had the same result, but finally [somehow] I ended up clicking on something which doesn't even look clickable - this is a tiny set of back- and forward arrows in the 'Range' option. Using this feature seems pretty hit-and-miss but I persevered and was able to get it to accept my parameters, i.e. "1 - 2" in range. You have to go into the second ["Printer"] dialogue box each and every time you print, to enable two-sided printing. At last I was able to get it to print pages 1 and 2 of my three-page document. Now maybe I can test-print pages from my 108 page tome! Fingers crossed . . .

  • How do I create a multi-page doc / add blank pages in PSE 11?

    I am creating printable PDF files and up to yesterday I was using a free trial of PSE 10. To create a multi page document I first saved it as a PSE project file, then added blank pages, then when I was done I saved it as a PDF and voila - done!
    Now my trial has run out I have bought the paid version (which is now version 11) and I seem to have lost that option entirely. The product is useless to me without a way to create multi page PDFs - can anyone help?
    Alternatively can I downgrade back to PSE10 which was fine for me!
    Thanks

    Thanks - I just spent an hour online to support, they won't refund me until they can work out why it won't allow it in the new version?!! So they have shared my screen and taken my files to be worked on "at the next level" - there didn't seem to be an option to accept that this feature just wasn't available in the version 11, they kept trying to make it do it. Especially as they could open my multi page projects created in version 10 and add pages to them!
    Anyway, I would be open to using another free software MichelBParis, but I found it such a steep learning curve to figure out how to do it in PSE10, it would need to be simple. Do you have links to any you could recommend?

  • Variations of a fixed content multi page Form

    Problem Statement:
    There are two variations of a fixed content page Form. This form runs for multi-pages say 10 pages of fixed content. One variation has an additional 4 to 5 line fixed text contents enclosed by a rectangular box object at the top of the page right below the title of the Form on the first page and there no other differences Vs the second variation.
    Approach:
    The form is created using a multiple page Section.
    Question:
    Can we avoid creation of multiple version of Sections in Documaker with use of any special Studio rules to insert the conditional rectangular box object with the 4 to 5 line contents between the Title of the form and the first paragraph based on a trigger?
    Assume that the First version and the second version of the form contents can be differentiated with a trigger or signal say "0" or "1" in the extract.

    Dynamic growing rectangles are supported in Documaker, review the Rule Book for the GorupBegin rule. This rule needs to be implemented at the section level.
    A box can also be place around a text area as a border. You can implement this as only one section using a variety of options, however its not clear what is making the section different in the first place. If its variable data then I'd try the border around the text area first - it is the easier option of the two.
    The grouping rules were specifically designed to support dynamic rectangles when you have overflow/repeating data versus what could be contained in a text area. There is some additional detail that would be needed to determine the optimal way of implementing this need.

  • Getting Page Count for a Multi-Page PDF file using Illustrator script?

    Does anyone know how to get the page count of a multi page PDF file?  I know you can then open each page using the PDFFileOptions (pagetoopen).  But I need to know up front how many pages there are to loop thru to open each page and process each page.
    Any Ideas?

    This script i did for photoshop:
    OK so lets do it working on WIN and MAC without any shell script.
    This solution is not the best but its working.
    I used Try catch to solve it.
    Only issue is that you should at least somehow know how many pages you expect in pdf.. this mean if you are working with books or flyers...
    Then set the maxPagesCount to that number.
    I am working with pdfs with max 20pages.. so i start open the 20 then 19 then 18 and when i am success i know the amount of pages.
    Its not the quicker way but its usable.
    var maxPagesCount = 20;
    var actPagesCount = maxPagesCount;
    var opts1 = new PDFOpenOptions();
    opts1.usePageNumber = true;
    opts1.antiAlias = true;
    opts1.bitsPerChannel = BitsPerChannelType.EIGHT;
    opts1.resolution = 10; //it will load faster the test page
    opts1.suppressWarnings = true;
    opts1.cropPage = CropToType.MEDIABOX;

  • Creating Multi-Page PDF from a Layerd Illustrator file (script)

    Often times when designing a logo I create different versions and variable options on layers. This can result in several layers in one Illustrator file. Is there an easy way or an existing script that will allow me to (with one click) create a multi-page PDF consisting of all the layers within my .ai file? The current method is turning on each layer, performing a save-as (PDF), then turning off said layer and turning on the next layer and repeating the task and so-on-and-so-forth, etc … It becomes tedious and quite often I save over the previous version, forgetting to re-name it or forget to perform a save on a certain layer. Can anyone help with some advice? I have never written my own script before but am not opposed to trying, where do I begin?
    Any help is appreciated.

    You don't say what OS you are using and which scripting language you are thinking of doing this in…
    This is a sample that may get you started done in JavaScript so it's platform independent with the exception of my 'mac style' file paths.
    If your on a PC it may just be a typo to set to C drive or whatever you call them things…
    If you are on the mac OS then it should just dump a load of PDF's on your desktop.
    You say about a multi-page PDF but don't think Illustrator can do this unless its been added with multi-artboards in CS4?
    Others would have to let you know that…
    #target illustrator
    var docRef = app.activeDocument;
    with (docRef) {
    var docName = baseName(name)
    var pdfOptions = new PDFSaveOptions();
    pdfOptions.pDFPreset = '[High Quality Print]';
    // Turn all layers off
    for (var i = 0; i < layers.length; i++) {
    layers[i].visible = false;
    // Turn each layer on
    for (var i = 0; i < layers.length; i++) {
    if (i == 0) {
    layers[i].visible = true;
    redraw();
    var layerName = layers[i].name;
    var saveAsPath = new File('~/Desktop/' + docName + '_' + layerName + '.pdf')
    saveAs(saveAsPath, pdfOptions);
    } else {
    layers[i-1].visible = false;
    layers[i].visible = true;
    redraw();
    var layerName = layers[i].name;
    var saveAsPath = new File('~/Desktop/' + docName + '_' + layerName + '.pdf')
    saveAs(saveAsPath, pdfOptions);
    //close(SaveOptions.DONOTSAVECHANGES);
    function baseName(fileName) {
    var nameString = '';
    var extOffset = fileName.lastIndexOf('.');
    if (extOffset == -1) {
    nameString = fileName;
    } else {
    nameString = fileName.substr(0, extOffset);
    return nameString;
