I want to clean up member (Account) from existing UDA's, so that in the end there are no UDA at all.
The docu says:
"Note:To remove a UDA value, use Enable UDA changes, and, in the data source, leave the relevant UDA field blank"

However I can not make it...
Tried the following in the data file: (I have not tested it with a SQL source yet)
Member(level0), UDA(level(0)
K12345 <tab>

K12345 <tab> " "
K12345 <tab> <blank> <tab>
K12345 <tab> " " <tab>
Also changed the separator from <tab> to ";" and tried all of the obove again.
I alway get the "Success" message after the Dim load, however the already existing UDA's still remain. When I give it a "dummy" UDA (e.g. "noUDA" in the data file these UDA value replaces the existing (one or many). However I dont want such "dummy" stuff in the otl.
Has someone a hint?

Hi Andre - I just tested this with a parent-child file against the Market dimension of Sample.Basic in 11.1.2.3.505, and it worked for me leaving it blank. Structure of the file was: Parent Child UDA
In the global Dimension Build Properties I selected Market then checked 'Allow Property Changes' and 'Allow UDA Changes'.
In the UDA field's Dimension Build Properties I set the dimension to 'Market', field to type UDA, and I also checked 'Delete when the field is empty' (it's all the way at the bottom of the field properties list, below 'Ignore Field for Dimension Build').
Since you don't mention it, I wonder if you missed that last step?

Once they are deleted from iCloud they will be deleted from all devices accessing the photos from iCloud. The exceptions here are a computer (you will need to delete it manually) and the device that took the photo, I am assuming your iPhone 5. There you will need to delete it from your camera roll too.

My friends iPad isn't acting under the same apple id as her iPod although it is so she cannot FaceTime or I'm from her IPad and what should have happened is her devices should have streamed as one cloud under her apple I'd between her devices.

How can I delete only shared instance of a member from Hyperion Planning

Hello,
Can anyone tell me how I can instruct the Hyperion Planning IKM to delete a only specific instance of a shared member from Hyperion Planning? I've tried specifying the shared member, the parent of the shared instance, 'Shared' as the data storage type, and 'Delete level 0' as the operation. Instead of deleting just the shared instance under the specified parent, however, the IKM deleted the base member, which in turn deleted all shared instances of the member and all the data for the member (lucky thing I'm working in a development environment!). At one point I thought I had things working as I wanted, but now I think I must have mistaken.
Does anyone know definitively whether only a specific instance of a shared member can be deleted from Planning and, if so, exactly how to do it?

Well, with a careful review of my ODI interfaces and some additional testing I found my problem. My interface for one dimension was defined exactly as it should be and it worked as expected, whereas I found I had failed to activate the mapping for the data storage property in my interface for another dimension (DOH!). Naturally, the latter interface deleted the base member because the default data storage property value is 'Store'.

Thanks for the question. You can actually configure this behavior from Mail preferences:
1. Choose Preferences from the Mail menu.
2. Click Composing.
3. Deselect the checkbox for "When sending to a group, show all member addresses".
When you send an email to the group, only the groups name will be seen.

How to get iPhoto and iTunes to a clean installed Yosemite from Time Machine

I wiped the Hard Drive and clean installed to OS X Yosemite. For Some reason, some of my Time Machine back ups disappeared or got deleted and it wasn't even full. I had back ups from 2011 and now it only starts from 2013 of June.
Next....when I try to restore my other apps(like iPhoto and my iTunes) I doesn't give that warp space effect in the background. It gives me the window layer effect but I just see the same mountain background on the desktop as the default Yosemite(unless thats how its suppose to look like that?) I can't restore using Time Machine because the little lines at the right are red (see screen shot) and it won't let me restore, and if i go back by using the arrows, if freezes. So,
I don't know how to install the old iTunes and iPhoto on my existing clean installed Yosemite from my Time Machine.
Can someone help me?

Acrobat X Pro no longer edits pdf's after doing clean install going from 10.9 to 10.10 on mac.

all other suite programs seem to work just fine. Just not Acrobat X. Was install from upgrade serials numbers. Acrobat X does not work well using Yosemite for me.....

I am not able to edit scanned documents that once could. They were scanned in as PDF files. The files that I once could edit in Acrobat x Pro are no longer editable. Past PDF's that I used change dates and resend no work. I did a clean install going from maverick 10.9 to yosemite 10.10 due to an issue with third party program. Since the clean install I have not been able to see or work on older adobe files that I once could. Everything that had a adobe icon attach to it has disappeared and been replaced with an apple pdf icon. It will not let me select areas as I once could to even copy and paste.

I might be wrong. AFAIK you do not have the option to remove without shutting down and modfying cluster.properties.
However this usecase would be minimal because before going into production you would have verified your architecture.

Make a simple report :TIME in column, ENTITY in page and COSTCENTER in row.
Then click on COSTCENTER, it opened the "EPM - Member Selector"
The dimension COSTCENTER has a property called ENTITY, so I select "ENTITY", operator is "=", Values is "<CONTEXT>" and the High Values/Dimensions is "ENTITY"
And after this selction I have nothing !
(I insist on that point to be clear : There are 2 different ENTITY, the first is the property of the dimension COSTCENTER and the second is a dimension)

Key thing in datacopy is to place the dimensions in cross dimension in the same order. Both sides (before and after "TO") should have equal number of dimension members specified.

How to remove member from Alias dimension in EPMA 11.1.1.3

Hi,
We are using EPMA for controlling master data for HP and HFM. While uploading members using Flat file import, by mistake, we have added a member called "French" in Alias dimension. Because of that, now all of the HFM applications, which were deployed earlier, are showing error as "The 'Alias' dimension has been modified since the first successful deployment of the application..."
Now, if we are trying to remove the new member "French" from Alias dimension, we are facing error as "The following error occured: Member 'French' is referenced by another Member."
We have checked but still could not find any member which is referencing/has value against this French Alias member.
If you have faced such kind of problem earlier, then can any of you share your experience? That will be very much appreciated.

This is the first time i have created the application and trying to deploy in new version
As per my understanding, while deployment Planning app gets interacted with 1.Essbase Server by creating outline 2. Shared services and last Planning
Today morning, I could see the application in EAS inspite of deployment being Aborted, So i have deleted that from Essbase
Now, I have created a new application, and tried deploying and gets the same error message and i don't see any app in EAS / HSS
Please suggest.
