11.1.4 wont download, then renders my itunes unusable.
I had to restore my computer to an earlier date and refuse the download to keep itunes running

In 2007, Apple still supported PPC Macs and software. The iPhone 2 was still coming off the drawing board. And the iPad was still in Steve Jobs' head. Steve Jobs was still alive for that matter.
Microsoft was just unveiling their latest and greatest pile of garbage... WIndows Vista.
You honestly expect a six year old computer (from any manufacturer) to be comaptible with a phone you bought last month?
So you bought a MacBook six years ago... So did I. I sold it in 2011 for almost what I paid for it, and bought a new one, which I sold and got my new Mini. But because you made that one purchase all those years ago, now Apple owes you a lifetime upgrade package?

So some of my purchased songs from iTunes are not syncing to my iPhone. Is there a setting or format issue? If so, how do I change it? The songs show up on my iPhone as if they synced, but do not play. There is an icon to the right saying it needs to be downloaded from iCloud and when I click it, it wont download.

How can I download my TV episodes to my Macbook Pro. I bought them from my iPad2, and I looked for them with the same AppleID on iTunes Store and they wont download to my iTunes.
What country are you in ? Depending upon what country that you are in then you might be able to redownload them on your Mac's iTunes via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the iTunes store homepage
If you're not in a country where TV programmes can be redownloaded then connect the iPad to your Mac's iTunes and use the File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy them over from your iPad -
when i went to itunes on my computer it would start downloading the apps i purchased on my phone but would get stuck a processing file, then when i went to purchase a movie i would click the buy button and it would ask my password but then would not purchase or download. Are you putting in the address where the bank sends the monthly statement?
Apple's servers are very picky about the format of the address. If you live in the USA, then the server is expecting the style that the US Postal Service uses. One way to do this is to use the USPS ZIP Code lookup service;

Enter the address to look up the ZIP code and then copy the exact USPS output into your iTunes account information. -
I need Help! i tried syncing my ipod then it said i neededthe nwer version of itunes so i downloaded it like 8 times! it still didnt work so i uninstalled it and it wont download at all when i try a window willl pop up and say would you like to save this file? and i will click save file and it would download but its nowhere on my computer?!?!

It sounds like there is an issue burning CD's in iTunes. Is the playback issue only occurring on a specific device and does the disc show up correctly in iTunes? Reset your iPad and see if that helps.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -

I tried to update my I tunes version 7.1 it would not update. THen I unistalled tried to install with a new copy didnt work. Tried to install an old version (4 from cd) it says the .dtl something was to new and iTunes could not open. So I unistalled the (cd version) and tried to download. The download just hangs. It wont download. My ipod stays on a gray diagnostic screen and doebn't work either. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

it was a little hard to read your post due to your grammar, but I need some more info on you in order to help.
First off, I need to know which Windows OS you are running? What antivirus and firewall programs are you running? Is iTunes and/or Quicktime installed on your PC?
Have you gone to Windows Website to download and install any new updates recently?

After i updated to IOS 8 my ipad wont download anything
After updating my ipad to IOS 8 my ipad wont download anything like apps, music,ibooks,app updates,etc. I do have a strong wifi connection, but when i click download, the item gets stuck preparing to download, and doesnt even get to asking for my apple ID password. Help?
I had the same problem, and I read on other apple blogs it is the WSJ app. After deleting the app, everything worked for me, so I think it is right.
Delete WSJ app.
Close out all apps (swipe up).
Shut down Ipad by pressing and holding restart button.
wait 15 seconds. Restart ipad.
Everything should work
With all the other people who have been having this problem and solved it by deleting the WSJ app, cant believe Apple hasn't blocked their app (it prevented all my podcasts, newsstand, and other apps from updating!!!) -
