11.5.10.2 Installation on windows 2003 server  Cygwin Software.

Hi
I used Cygwin instead of Mks tool kit in apps 11i(11.5.10.2) on windows 2003 server. Installation is completed succefully. I am able to open the forms without error. But while patching I am facing problem. for testing the Cygwin implementation I tried to relink FND programs. I got the error the error message is as follows.
set EnvAdrelink:Error:Cannot Open registry key: \SOFTWARE\ORACLE
aiosp2() Error: failure in usdspn()
contents of error buffer are:
"usdsop cannot create a new process
cause: usdsop encountered an error creating a new process. [Reason].
Can anybody help me the process.
Regards,
chennus.

Hi Saawan,
Now I format the system and Installed fresh application 11i(11.5.10.2) on windows 2003 EE.Now I select the prerequest software as visualstudio 2008 Express Edition and VC++6.0 redistributable package x86 (Doc ID 1095124.1), Mks toolkit I used 8.1 version and Gnumake I used 3.78.1(Doc ID 268776.1). The Installation is completed Successfully. The application is working fine. While i want to test the adrelink using adadmin I got the following error. adrelink is completed with status 1 and it is completely exit ( Not finished the script and come to command prompt) Here i am enclosing the adrelink log file.

  • Space Problem in G: - after NW2004s SR1 installation on Windows 2003 server

    HI Friends,
I have installed NW2004s SR1 on Windows 2003 server with Oracle 10g database successfully. My server has sufficient harddisk space as follows.
    C: 9.6GB
    G: 24GB
    H:64GB & I: 73GB.
    RAM is 6GB
While installing NW2004s i have defined a paging size on C: 400MB-1600MB and
i have set the option as System Manageble on other drives G, H& I drives. I did not get any Swap space problem while installing.
During installation I have chosen G: drive to store MirrorlogA, MirrorlogB, Oraarch, OriglogA, OriglogB folders of Oracle for redolog archives,.Total size of all these folders is 17.4 GB
G: drive has one more folder Program files which is of 155KB  and no other files exist in it.
But My system says that I am running out of Space on G: drive and free space available now is only 44MB.
My question is where has the rest 5GB of space gone? Is it consumed as a part of Paging file which i have set on this drive as System manageble??
I have set the same option on other drives too i..e H & I. But i am not facing any space issues for these drives.
What could be going wrong?? Please suggest me how to correct this
    Thanks

I am running  Pre_requiste checker tool to check my hardware & software requirements in order to go ahead with installation, as a part of SAPInst.exe execution.
The results of Prerequisite checker tool are satisfied  except for one  " SWAP SPACE VALUES"
I am getting the message as follows
"The Minimum SWAP SPACE values required is 10994MB and currently you have 5993MB"
How to increase this SWAP space value? Please let me know the procedure.
Currently my server has a paging file details as below : Min size : 2MB & Max size : 9214MB allocated on C: drive. No other drive has paging file allocation.

  • Oracle 9i Installation on Windows 2003 Server 64bit - URGENT

    Hi ,
I am installing oracle 9i on win 2003 server (64 bit) enterprise edition. After the installation whenever I try to run Database Configuration Assistant or Net configuration assistant nothing happens.
If i run DBCA on command line then it runs but not from the Start menu. Can anyone suggest the solution ? I tested it with oracle 9i (32 bit) and (64bit) versoins for win2003 server platform. But same results. Also tried the oracle 32 bit for XP on windows 2003 server but in vain.
It seems like there is PATH problem but i checked all the paths and they seem preety okay. I wonder why it runs from the command line when I recall dbca.bat file and not from the Oracle menu.
I would appreciate any remedy to this problem

I hate to be a wet blanket, but this forum is for feedback about the OTN site. The best place for your current thread is in the Database Installation:

  • Challenges with the TREX Stack 14 with Windows 2003 Server

    Hi
I have been struggling with the TREX installation on Windows 2003 server and are note able to get the green icon for the HTTP server.
I have been searching this Forum and seen a lot of topics on this issue, but unfortunately I am not able to solve it.
On my server I have installed the following components:
    EP stack 14
    SAP R/3
    SAP ITS
If anyone have any ideas of how to solve my case - I will be very pleased
    Regards
    Kay-Arne S. Aarlie

    Hi
We have managed to solve this issue
First i set the security settings for my trex_instance folder "C:\usr\sap\trex_06". Here i added the user IWAM_"MyHost" which is the "Launch IIS Process Account". Gave it the permissions for "Read & Execute, List Folder Content, Read" and then hit the button "Advanced" - selected the user once more and "Apply" - "OK" - "OK".
In the IIS and its properties for Web Sites and Services i set the checkbox for "Run WWW service in IIS 5.0 isolation mode".
Restarted the IIS and the TREX HTTPServer went green and I was also able to use the ITS.
    Regards

If some one can give me help on getting the correct software/drivers for this.
    Already thanks.

go to services window and set all your Oracle services to automatic instead of manual. this will start your database automatically rather you start it manually

I ended up putting it in DFU mode.  It's kinda hard to tell it was in DFU mode because nothing showed on the screen, it was just black, but the sounds from the computer helped to tell me it was connected.
Itunes still didn't recognize the device for whatever reason.
So I used redsn0w.  I don't know if I can say that on these forums, but considering itunes was worthless at this point I am going to give credit where credit is due.
Now I am giving itunes a second chance to upgrade to 5.1, if it doesn't work, well, back to redsnow and maybe I will even jailbreak it this time rather than just using the fecovery fix found under extras.

  • ORA-12546 error during installation of 9.2.0.1 on Windows 2003 Server

I have encountered an error whilst installing oracle 9.2.0.1 on a Windows 2003 Server. The error appears in the final part of the installation, when the Database Configuration Assistant is performing some work - it reaches the part where it creates the database instance - here we get the "ORA-12546: TNS Permission denied" error - this part of the installation is marked as failed - i can retry it as many times as i want but the same thing happens. If i finish the installation (even though the error has occurred) the oracle installation doesn't really work . I can't open the Database Configuration Assistant and don't really have a sysdba user. However all the services seem to be running fine (even the tns listener)
I was wondering whether it could be a problem that would be solved with the 9.2.0.3 patch - but this patch assumes that you have performed a proper working installation of 9.2.0.1, so I'm not quite convinced that the problem is related to the oracle version.
I've read other threads where the problem has been read/write privileges on some files and folders, but this shouldn't be an issue when I'm logged onto the machine as a local administrator.
The install.log files don't really provide any extra information.

I have exactly the same problem installing Oracle on a Windows Server 2003 X64 Enterprise Edition. I have Intel Xeon processors (EM64T).
I tried to install Oracle for 64 bits, but it didn't work. Now I'm trying to install 32 bits version of Oracle, and I get the same error and the same problem, mentioned above.
Can anyone help us, I can't figure out a way to solve it. I don't know if Oracle for 32 bits is not compatible with that version of Windows, even if it is supposed to be.
    Thanks!!!!

  • Installation of SAP NetWeaver on Windows 2003 Server ( 32 Bit )

    Hello Gurus,
I am planning installation of SAP Net Weaver - SR2 on Windows Server 2003 ( 32 Bit ) and oracle 10g is my database.
can anybody guide me from where I can install the software coz in the market place SAP N/W-SR3 is available.
    Is SAP N/W - SR3 is recommeded for Windows 2003 Server ( 32 Bit ).
Can any body guide me the process & my qurey.
    Thanks & Regards

Read SAp note Note 1108852 - SAP NetWeaver 7.0 / Business Suite 2005 SR3: Windows
    it says:
    21/MAY/08
SAP system installation only supported on 64-bit operating systems, except for  dialog instances
As of SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SR3 and Business Suite 2005 SR3, SAP only supports to install dialog instances on 32-bit operating systems. All remaining SAP system instances (central instance, database instance, central services instance (SCS), ABAP central services instance (ASCS)) must be installed on 64-bit operating systems. Therefore the folder "SAP Systems" is not available on the "Welcome screen", when you start the installation from a installation master DVD for 32-bit.
You might need to install dialog instances on 32-bit if you want to use 32-bit SAP NetWeaver components, such as Adobe document services. We recommend, however, to first check whether these 32-bit components can run on 64-bit operating systems. If so, we recommend to also use 64-bit systems for these components, including the dialog instance.
If you want to install a non-productive SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SR3 based system (test systems or development are normally productive systems)  on 32-bit, proceed as follows:
          1. Install a SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SR2 (SAP ERP 2005 SR2, SAP CRM 5.0 SR2 SAP SCM 5.0 SR2, SAP SRM 5.0 SR2) system.
          2. Patch this system to SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SR3 (SAP ERP 6.0, SAP CRM 5.0 SR3, SAP SCM 5.0 SR3, SAP SRM 5.0 SR3).

    Hello,
There is a note in SAP that indicates that EMT64/x64 is not compatible with Oracle 9.2 (nota 12546) There is Oracle's FAQ that indicates Oracle's versions and Windows that he(she) supports EMT64.
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/windows/faq.html#x86-64
Since you can see it(he,she) indicates that Oracle 9.2 is supported in Windows 32 bits with technology EMT64
And that alone the version 10g 2 be reread it(he,she) is compatible with Windows 2003 SEVER 64 bits with technology EMT64
I hope that this costs(suits) us to solve our problems

  • Does Oracle 10G R2 support installation on Windows 2003 Domain Controller?

Does Oracle 10g R2 support installation on Windows 2003 Domain Controller? I remember that 10g R1 had issues with the DC? Is it still the case. Does it work now?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Regards,
    Raghav

We have Oracle 10g R2 running on a Windows 2003 domain controller. It was not a domain controller when Oracle was installed. The domain was created after installation. (I don't recommend that procedure. I spent a long day fixing the installation after they configured the domain.) If Oracle is unhappy with being on a domain controller, it has not shown it yet.
