11.5.10 forms server error

hi all
i have installed EBS 11i on windows xp
it worked fine for last few months.now i am getting forms server error.
i can login as user and when i try to go to applications like AR transactions,
jinitiator is also geting intiated.it stops at this stage and i can see the oracle logo in the back ground .but the forms do not open.
i can see the forms generic error like 'forms 90500:cannot connect to the forms server'.
i tried to start the forms server using adfrmsctl cmd from envshell.it says forms server already started.
can anyone help me regarding this.

yes its related to some forms generic error
it can be seen in the popup and the loading of forms stops there
i cant access the applications because it stucks there.
i can open forms like xml publisher administrator etc.but not the module based liek AR etc.
my data base works fine.

Forms Server Error

When I am running a form i am getting the following error:
FRM-92101 : There was a failure in th Forms Server during startup.This could happen to be invalid configuration.Please look into the web-server log file for details.
I am using Oracle 10g Developer Suite on Windows XP SP2 platform and the browser is IE7.
Can anybody help me in solving this problem.

Did JInitiator installed successfully??
Are you able to run the test Form?? try uninstalling the JInitiator and reopen the test form, this will cause JInit to be re-installed.
If you are running under proxy, check the "Use Browser Settings" in the "Proxies" tab in the JInit control panel.

FRM-92101 There was a failure in the Forms Server error.

I am developing a form using form builder v. 10.1.2.0.2. I have started the OC4J instance locally and compiled the form. When I try to run it out of form builder I receive the FRM-92101 error on startup of the form. This occurs with only one particular form. I can run other forms directly from builder the same way. I put in messages in form triggers to see where it might be occurring. I use a when_new_form_instance form for some preform processing and a when_window_activated to set window options (size title etc.). I see all messages from the new form instance trigger meaning it run through this trigger all the way through. I don't see any of the window activated messages. Any idea how I can troubleshoot this error and identify what the source is? Any advice welcome, thanks!

I have also run into similar problem.
In my case, this problem has been carried over from Forms 6i to Forms 10g. In forms 6i it wrote an error file in the same folder where *.fmx file was stored.
For 10gAS, look into <ORACLE_HOME midtier>\forms90\trace folder for a file *.trc. Open it up in notepad. It will tell you which trigger was being executed when the form failed.
Put any comment in the PL/SQL of that trigger, recompile the form and the problem will go away.
I usually put something like:
dummy statement for FRM-92101.
I do not know why it works but in my case it has.

Error in starting form server on Redhat 7.1

Hi,
i have installed oracle9iAS 1.0.2.0.0 on redhat 7.1 successfully
with out any error but when I start forms server it gives error
like: failed to exec runform f60webm [error:2]
WHen I look in make.log file it shows errorr like
gcc: /usr/xllR6/lib/libXm.so :no such file or directory
make: *** [rwrun60] error 1
this error are at various places in make.log file
when I look for libXm.so in that directory it was not there.
can I download this file from some where???
pls give any solution for it as I'm unable to run my forms
through web

I think that this is an x-windows library that you are missing.
You need to get and install the x-windows rpm and that will have
the file. Have a look for the file name using google and I'm
sure you'll find the name of the package.

500 Internal Server Error in Oracle Forms 9i

Hi,
I installed IIS for the creation of Virtual Directory to setup Webutil in My Forms 9i ( 9.0.2.9.0).
Now when trying to run the form,getting error " 500 Internal Server Error ". Its a little urgent.
Any help will be appreciated.Thanx

I am using webutil version 1.05, and forms version Version 9.0.2.9.0.
Is there any way, through which I can check whether i have done all the required setups or not. I have followed the WEBUTIL installation guide instructions.But in vein.

That is not related to my issue.
Here this error only comming for two users in my group.
The environment every thing working for remaining user. But only that two users are facing the problem.
So please let me know is there any security issues.

When logged into forms webpage getting Internal server error

recently we have configured reverse proxy setup to access portal from internet and now after logging into forms i am getting Internal server error where portal is the virtual host name https://portal.localdomain.com/forms/frmservlet?config=sso_form. the error which i am getting is

Yes, I agree error log is not that helpful.
There are no errors or any log for that matter in IDM Console side, so I am guessing that error is occurring entirely in Java side.
I am trying to reset password for ABAP and IDM UI.
Backend is IDM UME.

Forms : 500 Internal Server Error

All was working well until I installed the latest Sun Java version 6 Update 16. Now, when I am
trying to 'run form' my web browser session hangs (Morizolla Firefox). So to verify that the
HTTP Listener is working correctly I enter the following URL in a Web browser

the above error is from u r Formsweb.cfg because u r sun java is not compatible please reinstall Java initiator.
did u change anything in formsweb.cfg?if yes please check for space in that.

Did you create a new web application or modify an existing web application?
I would start by checking the ULS logs, maybe there is an incorrect setting within one of the web.config files, or SQL permissions.
Also, as suggested above, check application pools are running.

Server error in communication when trying to submit a formscentral form?

What does it mean when one of my form users gets a "server error in communication" when trying to submit a form. The saving function worked just fine. Help this is my first form!

It is a rather generic error message that can occur for a number of reasons. Further details are needed to pinpoint an exact cause. Do you know if your user can submit now? There was service outage earlier this week that may have caused the problem. Other issues are browser security settings, company or individual firewall setting, or actual bugs to out product. If you could get more information from your user such as their Operating System and version, browser version, if the error is still occuring, when the error occurred that would be helpful.
Some things your user can try in the mean time is clearing their browser cache, restarting their browser or trying a different browser.

To use the Webutil, you must sign the WEBUTIL.JAR and JACOB.JAR.
Using Jarsigner, you have to define the JDK Home and the Jinitiator home.
I used whe jdk version 1.4.2 and the Jinitiator version 1.3.1.17
Don't forget to apply this modification.
Insert the line
<virtual-directory virtual-path="/webutil" real-path="D:\Forms9i\forms90\webutil" />
in the file
$ORACLE_HOME$\j2ee\Oracle9iDS\application-deployments\forms\forms90web\orion-web.xml
Insert the line
AliasMatch ^/forms90/webutil/(..*) "D:\Forms9i\forms90\webutil/$1"
in the file
$ORACLE_HOME$/forms90/server/forms90.conf
Of course You have to replace D:\forms9i with your Oracle Home.

Server error when testing form!!

Hi,
We have a completed form but cannot test it do to server errors we encounter ever time we try to test. Also have tried to email link to access form which will open and can be filled out, but Server error encountered when we hit submit. How can this be resolved, and what assurances are their that it won't happen to all the respondents trying to submit registration forms for our event when we distribute - this has been an issue for more than a week now?

I was able to submit a test record just now, using Win7/Chrome. So you may want to delete a response with a bunch of "test" entries.
I've looked into the server log and don't see any other submissions entries so I suspect that something happens on the client side.
To help us investigate more, can you please tell:
- OS and browser version you are using
- send a screenshot of the error you are seeing
- confirm that you are seeing the problem all the time
- try with a different browser to see if you can reproduce the problem
Also, use the following url:

to open the form (but do not submit) and click on "Report Problem" link at the bottom of the page. This will create a email with submission history, please email this to: [email protected] so we can debug further.
