11.6.602.180 msi download
Hi,
We have Adobe Flash Player Distribution License Agreement for our site which takes me to an Adobe download to download the msi whenever a new Flash update is available.
The link for the msi currently shows Flash Player 11.6.602.171 as available for download only.
Any ideas when 11.6.602.180 msi will be made available via this mechanism or anywhere else I can download the latest msi from or should I just double-click on the latest downloadable exe to extract the msi?
Paul

Adobe flash 11.6.602.180 won't install
This version of Adobe flash: 11.6.602.180
from here:
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.edu.html
Won't install (at least on Windows 7), unlike all previous revisions.
What can be done?
I get this error:
Error 1722: There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup
did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action NewCustomAction1.
location: ....\AppData\Local\Temp\InstallPlugin_11_6_602_180exe.
command: -install -msi
[This latter command, is something it must generate internally. I install the msi download like so:
msiexec /i <Pathtodownloads>/install_flash_player_11_plugin.msi /quiet /passive /qb /norestart /l+* %systemdrive%\log\flash.log
There doesn't seem to be a way to contact Adobe itself about this product problem.
Since these updates are usually security fixes, it seems like a bad thing to roll back.]

11.6.602.180 wont play you tube videos
I am running MS Windows XP Professional X64 (Server2003) SP 2 Build 3790 / 5.2.3790 and internet explorer seven 7.05730.13 and have installed flash player 11.6.602.180
The above OS runs WOW Windows on windows as a standard feature and is capable running (and does run) both 32 bit and 64 bit programes
Flash is not recognised by the Flash player in 3 steps screen and when attempting to play videos on YouTube I get a dialouge which reads: "You need Adobe Flash player to watch this video Download it from Adobe"
"And You are using an outdated browser which youtube no longer supports "
Which is odd because I got the same result with IE 8 and an adjacent machine running IE8 and XP 32 bit works perfectly
Does anyone have any idea why it is not working ?What do you see instead of the expected Flash content?

Win7+Firefox cannot dowload 11.6.602.180
Videos tell me to download the latest version. When I get to the download page (for 11.6.602.180) does not have a "download now" button. Java script is enabled. Windows 7 with Firefox.
Please get latest Flash Player from the following link: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#mai n-pars_header
For Firefox, you need to get Flash Player from the second link.

Need MSI Download of Adobe Flash Plugin for Adobe Reader
From this link:
http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/flash-player-needed-acrobat-reader.html
I found EXE Download of Adobe Flash Plugin for Adobe Reader/Acrobat:
install_flash_player.exe
I requested our Admin to deploy the above file via SMS but he told me it will be better if I can find an MSI Download insteade of EXE.
Where I can get MSI Download of this EXE File?

Sorry, I misunderstood - yes, this will install the Flash Player plugin for non-IE browsers. But so will install_flash_player.exe from your first post.
According to the link you posted, it seems to be required to install the Flash Player plugin to view Flash content in PDF files.
On the other hand I do not quite understand why there is a NPSWF32.dll file in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader ...
Thanks again Pat, but apologies, as I am not quite sure I understand what you mean...
This link you posted:
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html
... will result of this distribution deployment allow the end-users to play Flash in PDF under Adobe Acorbat/Reader?

Please can you help?
Prof_STHello Wojislav,
Thank you for your prompt response. Yes, I can do that but don't you think that it would be preferable if the installer/update script didn't evoke this response? None of my other software updates does and while I would like to trust people, these days it gets harder and harder when folks are willing to lie and cheat at the drop of a hat and without compunction. It does not help either that false sites (Adobe mimics) have been installing Trojan Horses so it would be safer all around to remove that foible. It is just not very good. Or at least, it does not look very good, which amounts to the same thing at first glance.
Thanks again for you concern.

Flash player 11.6.602.180 plays audio but not video...
Very similar to problems reported by others. Just started recently... flash player on Win 7 and IE 10 plays audio but no video... just black box or blank.
Have reinstalled flash player several times... including following all clean install instructions several times. Installation completes and and tells me it's installed successfully.
Have carefully matched IE settings to allow activeX content and have enabled the flash player object and turned on active scripting for all zones, etc. Still no video.
Going to the flash verification page shows a blank box where the current installed version should be.
If I look in control panel under Flash Player it tells me the activeX version is 11.6.602.180 and that the plug in is "Not Installed"... could that be the problem?
What can I do to fix this? Thanks in advance for any help. What is your display adapter, device driver version and date? See http://forums.adobe.com/thread/945765

Metafile download failed - Flash 11.6.602.180
I have x2 systems that I am trying to install this onto since yesterday morning both with IE9:
Windows 7 Enterprise x86 SP1
Windows 7 64-bit
I select that I do not want Chrome or automatic updates and it just will not install.
I noticed that if I select download the file it is 994kb (which looks like it may only be the installer) not the 15.1mb file that I was hoping for. Would it be possible to have access to the full .exe or .msi please?Hello,
Welcome to Adobe Forums

11.0.3.470 MSI download?
I've tried to download the lastest version 11.0.3.470 from
the distribution page, but there still version 11.0.0.0 is
available. I've filled out a new license agreement but also on the
new download page, only the inital version is available. Is there
really no possibility to get the latest build 470 for internal
distribution as MSI file?Im getting the same thing. (XP SP3 French with latest update
to Dec 5 2008)
I installed firefox 3.0.4 and tryed to get shockwave player
with it.
It allowed to download the slim version
(Shockwave_Installer_Slim) 4.35meg.
I assumed that with a local copy of shockwave, I could
install it and it does install. I even check my hard drive and I
see it installed.
But I still cant play any shockwave content in either firefox
or IE.
I tryed a new profile on the same machine with the same
result.
I tryed to install it on another machine and still getting
this same issue.
At this point I remembered that with Adobe Captivate 3, in
order for it to install on XP French version, I had to go into the
regional setting and set everything to english US and apply to all
profile. That was the undocumented Adobe fix that I got from a lvl3
system engenere at Adobe. Anyways, I tryed that and still can't
install the shockwave player.
I think I cover my side pretty well. I hope Adobe come up
with some answer pretty soon. -
Can't install Adobe Flash Player 11.6.602.180
I have Windows 7; 64 bit and the adobe falsh player only installs 50 % before saying to cloase all IE windows - but they are already closed - install fails. I can't uninstall either even when I download the uninstaller and I try to manually delete the files - says I don't have admin rights or something
When I run MSI installers it gives me an error 1722 problem with Windows installer package...
Can anyone help me?
ToddDownload the offline installer(s) from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#mai n-pars_header and save it to disk, then close all browser windows (check with the Task Manager's Processes tab) and run the downloaded installer.

Why doesn't ELVISmx software recognize myDAQ?
Windows device manager recognizes myDAQ. Measurements and Automation as well as other NI software (e.g. ELVIS mx) does not recognize myDAQ. Have uninstalled and then reinstalled the software with no favorable results. Don't know what to try next.
