11 Days in download still the same
So i signed up to BT infinity 2, been thru the Stabilisation period and my download is about the same as standard infinity, Have turned hub on and off to see if that makes a difference and it doesn't.
Upload speed has doubled just wish my download had!

I'm getting aorund 29- 30 down and 15 up with a wired connection. The upload has alomost doubled but the download is around the same.
BT says =Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a fibre technology with an estimated WBC FTTC Broadband where consumers have received downstream line speed of 66.1Mbps and upstream line speed of 20Mbps.

The OperatorURL is reachable. ( you can find the operatorURL from the acsm file by opening it in notepad,etc)
And Book is still available on the book-store for purchase.
(If any of first two are not available, you might have to talk to distributor for next action item to get the book. Since you will have record of purchasing the book, (in my opinion) they should provide you the new token for downloading the book)
And please confirm this that you used the same userID for downloading that you used when you first fulfilled/downloaded the book.
(If it is the case, then you have to use the correct userID)

I'm getitng the same thing. I'm beyond sick of this iPad. It's a third generation Retina Display and it turned into a pile of cat turds after iOS 7. It got so bad I restored it and used iCloud. It was still god awful. I restored it and didnt use the iCloud backup and hoped that whatever was wrong would be avoided....nope. IF I can get a download going it nearly kills my entire iPad. I will open the cover and wait over 30 seconds just for the screen to light up. I will hit the home button to close an app and wait nearly a minute in some cases for it to actually close. Then to top off all the annoyances it just fails and loops over and over.
I bought Apple products to avoid stuff like this. Very unhappy. -

why is it when i download the software update for iphone an error pops out when downloading is finish and processing file is being done...i've already tried several time but still the same result.
Disasble the computer's security software during the download and update.

When I downloaded Safari 6 I lost the "Empty Cache" function. The Reset function is still the same as 5.7. How do I get the empty cache back?

Safari > Preference > Advanced
Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.

i just purchase an ipad2 yesterday when i tried to download some apps it kept giving me this error1004 msg. i tried to reset everything still the same msg. I even reset my account credit card still the same. I already talk to ipad support she does have clue either.

How to get more downloads at the same time
On my old computer I could download 20 files at the same time (or more, depending on the size). I've got a new computer now but Safari only downloads 4 files at a time: the other files are put on hold and start only when anotehr file has finished downloading.
How can I enable more downloads at the same time?I'm not using any enhancings apps, so... that can't be it. I did go from 10.3.x to 10.4.x, but I guess that's not the point either. Maybe some internetsettings is keeping things from going full throttle...?
I download from Usenet a lot and downloading multiple files with Safari was very nice: I'd get 20 50 Mb files within a few minutes on my computer. Now I can only get 4 files in that same time (I guess it's a bit faster but not much: I have a VERY fast connection!). Okay, all in all it still only takes half an hour (probably less) to download 3 Gb this way, but I just wonder what's holding Safari back...
(BTW Downloading big files spread into rars is VERY nice! If I had to download a 3 Gb file as ONE file, it would take a LOT more time...! Makes you wonder why not all companies offer their software (specially larger files) in smaller parts... They used to do that in the early internet days because otherwise you would never ever get that file downloaded on that 56k6 line, but nowadays it still would be great if they offered everything in small parts! -

I just have my new Ipad4 last January 27, I noticed that while downloading a certain Apps in App Store then scrolling to look for more application, my screen would flicker like flashing or something blinking on it. I don't know what happened, why is it like that? Is it somewhat connected with hardware problem or does Ios 6 version still have a bug? I've tried using safari and other video downloader like vdownloader and I tried searching in youtube, still the same dilemma, it flicker also while browsing some video. Is it hardware problem? I already reset and restore my IPAD thou its a new one still the same dilemma happened again. What should I do? It was a gift for me and I'm really worried about it. I'm try to buy a movie from iTunes with my I pad 3 and it tells me there is not enough local storage and when I go to my local storage there is a lot on free storage I also restarted my ipad but still the same prob what do I do?
5GB is typically not enough space to download a movie. Often, movies take from 3 - 5 GB to begin with. The only option you have is to delete more things from your iPad. You can remove unused Apps, pictures, music, text message (messages with pictures can take up a lot of space), email messages, books, magazines etc.

Still the same bugs?! (Ovi Maps, N8)

I'm using Ovi maps lately quite a lot but I have some problems with this software, especially with the usability. When searching the net for bugfixes/help I found an older bug report on Nokia BetaLabs: http://betalabs.nokia.com/apps/ovi-maps-for-mobile-v3-06/bugreport/23781/top-10-bugs-in-ovi-maps-v-3... and my problems are still the same but Ovi Suite says that I have the latest version (v3.06, Map version 0.2.42.122 on N8-00)
My problems are:
1.) When searching for an accurate address (Street name, No., ZIP, City name) there is no hit for offline navigation, Ovi maps needs an online search. If I leave the house number out the offline navigation finds the street - Why aren't there the house numbers stored for offline navigation? There is mostly no sense in only finding a street but not the accurate address. As long as I only use the navigation inland that isn't a big problem as I have internet connection included in my phone rate - but it's a problem abroad because of high roaming rates ...
2.) So I have always internet connection on Ovi maps - problem is that sometimes when the UMTS-connection is lost (e.g.. in tunnels) there is a pop-up if I want Ovi maps to connect to the internet. If I choose "Yes" there is some seconds later a new pop-up where I need to choose the connection - That's very annoying! I can't find a setting like "always allow Ovi maps to connect to the internet". There is only a setting if I only want offline navigation (which doesn't work, see 1.).
3.) If there is more than one result I can't figure out what is the difference between the results (except the distance) because the exact address isn't scrolling and the results are only like "Country, State, ...." - I don't see the differences because there is only "...".
4.) I can't scroll through the map once the navigation has started. There is only this mode where I can scroll threw the turns/junctions. Sometimes I like to see where the navigation takes me before I start driving, that is hardly possible without a 'free-map-scroll-mode'.
One last point is the search-process: It is more comfortable to have a step-by-step search for the destination like all major satnavs have (TomTom, Garmin, ...) and bigger on-screen-keyboard because with this tiny letters it is quite impossible to add/change the address while driving.AUTxRemoteC wrote:Now to the points from my first post:

Maybe I misunderstand your question but I have no problem with searches right down to numbers in streets with the phone offline i.e the country, town, street, street number is found and the cursor sits over that exact address on the map. Perhaps it is a problem with your country's maps? In the countries I use the geo data is readily available right down to the individually surveyed plots of land in towns and cities (and hence to numbers in streets).
I often find it quicker to do a search for the country first if it is another country you are searching for the address in, then do the city, street number and name search.
2. I suspect that you have not barred such connections somewhere in the set up of your phone generally or else for for some app, or perhaps, as you have games, etc loaded, one or more of them insists on "phoning home" as some do and as they have opened a connection Maps asks to use it.
That with Maps 3.08 on an N8 but I do not recall any problems on earlier versions either. -
I bought a brand new laptop with windows 8 for OS. Downloaded & installed itunes but gives me error 0XE8000068 when I attached my iphone 5. windows is up to date. as well as iphone 5. Tried changing cables & restarting laptop, still the same. Uninstalled itunes & reinstalled again but nothing changed. Still the same error.

Using Adobe 11 reader, now comes up with an error, once file is opened. 'Invalid plugin detected, Adobe reader will quit. Closes the program so cannot view PDF files. Running windows 7. I have uninstalled and re-installed Adobe still the same. HELP
Sounds like something has been added into the Reader folder. I would recommend uninstalling, running http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html, removing any left over parts of the Reader folder (this might have been the problem), reboot, and reinstall. Hopefully that solves the problem. For future question about Reader, you should consider asking in the Reader forum, this is not it.
