1102w gives print error msg, but prints

I had an hp p1102w for quite some time and it perfectly fits our needs on our home wifi network. One of the features I use on a regular basis is printing double sided. About two months ago I started to get an error message "HP P1102 could not print (document name)", but the document printed just fine. I didn't really worry about it until I tried to print double sided. Now the printer prints the even numbered sides, but I never get message to turn the paper and press continue. The printer and computer just sit there looking at each other and nothing happens. If I press the 'X' button the error message immediately pops up on the computer and the rest of the job is lost on the printer. I downloaded and installed the HP drivers, the HP printer doctor software, searched the forum for suggestions, tried a few suggestions that sounded vaguely like my problem, turned the firewall off and back on, and finally concluded that the printer was bad. So I bought another one. I get the same problem, tried the same remedies, and still am getting the error msg.
My conclusion is that there is a communication problem between the two devices that has probably been caused by some windows update at some point. Anybody got any bright ideas?

Thanks for letting me know you were able to print two-sided by opening and closing the lid. But still the issue exists.
Most likely to resolve this issue, we would have to rip everything out for the printer in the registry and do a fresh install to fix this problem.
I can send you that information in a private message and you can decide whether to continue with more steps.

You can always restore your computer back to a earlier time when everything was working properly, but you mentioned this issue started 2 months ago. How to refresh, reset, or restore your PC on Windows 8.

The code they are asking for is the last three digits of the number on the back of the card (you don't use this when using an ATM or presenting the card in shops).

Upon power up and connection to wiFi all appeares to be functioning properly. Can even e-print. All is still well when printer goes to sleep (will wake-up and e-print). After about 10-15 minutes will get a white screen with an message "Printer error Please turn printer off, then on" all other lights are flashing including power button. Assuming you are having a problem printing one PDF, and not every PDF, If you have Acrobat, you can try Tools> Print Production> Preflight> PDF/X Compliance> Convert to PDF/X-1a. You can also look in your printer settings and see if you have the option to "print as image".

Located a solution:
Go to Control Panel - Printers --- right click the printer and select Printer Properties.
Select the PORTS tab and disable Bi-Directional Printer Support. Seems to work whether the printer is installed either via USB or Cat5 to the Airport Extreme network.
For HP printers, if that first fix doesn't work, download and install the HP Install Network Printer Wizard - allow it to replace your 'newer' driver, but check hp.com for step by step instructions.
Third suggested fix is to download a PCL6 driver, or a different model-driver altogether that is more generic than model specific.

Psc 2175 printer error msg for SD memory card

I inserted a micro SD card from my cell phone using an SD adapter in the SD slot of my 2175 all-in-one. The printer reads the card and comes back with an error msg. Computer runs XP.
Latest printer driver was installed. Put a std. SD card in and it works fine. Brought the micro SD in the adapter to store and put it into a new printer. It worked fine.

Ok, I tried to reformat it, on my Mac but when I do I get a Input/Output error. So I tried to reformat in my PC, when I try to there is a pop up saying "Please enter a disk into Drive F." I can not print from Firefox, but can from all other browsers and applications (such as MS Word, notepad, etc.). I get a print error on the printing monitor like it's a spooling problem.

This is a recent development but I can not print anything from within Firefox. The print functions open normally, it is going to the correct printer which works..I can print from other browsers and applications. It acts like it is spooling and then a print error occurs and it won't print. I closed and reopened Firefox, opened it in safe mode, cleaned out history/cache/cookies, and rebooted twice. Nothing makes any difference. Also tried printing from the print preview which had the same result. I can print from all other browsers and applications without a problem so it must be within Firefox.

Printing error msgs to file

Using the DOS command line for javac, how do I get the error messages to print to a file? I can't scroll my DOS window and I lose the top of a long list of error messages.

It's Window 98. I think we're getting close tho. If I use one angle
java filename > error.txt or javac file.java > error.txt
it erases whatever was in error.txt, but doesn't write anything else.
The errors, at least from runtime, are supposed to go to System.err instead of System.out, in case that helps.

Print Error Msg re: "rastertoes" using Epson 1400 and Adobe Lightroom

I am unsure if this is a _Mac OS_ issue, an Adobe issue or an Epson issue. I am using an Epson Stylus Photo 1400 with Lightroom 2.6. I successfully printed a snapshot but all subsequent efforts produced the following error message through the Epson printer app:
"Error/Library/Printers/Epson/InjetPrinter2/Filter/rastertoescpll.app/Contents/M acOS/rastertoescpll failed"
Have reloaded Snow Leopard drivers from Epson, gone through variations of printer set-ups, re-booted, etc. Still the same message.
I would sincerely appreciate someone's help.

Deleting the /Library/Printers/EPSON folder won't delete the Epson folder in /Caches. Did you do a search for this folder or manually try to find it? Are you looking in the hard drive's Library folder and not your home directory's?
As for "deleting the printer," I note that the Epson 1400 is still a pull down Print option in multiple apps. Is there a way to delete it so it doesn't show anywhere, or will the printer remaining attached (USB) to the computer cause it to be shown?
Go into System Preferences, Print & Fax Prefs, select the printer and hit the '-' sign at the bottom of the printer list.

How do I download an update, and how do I know it will discern that the Epson printer apps and drivers are missing?
Use Software Update under the Apple menu to download the update. The software will see that the printer is connected but that there's no software (since you deleted the /Library/Printers/EPSON folder), and it will ask you if you want to download the most recent update. Doing so will replace the contents of the Library/Printers/EPSON. After installing the update, restart, then re-add your printer using the Epson driver.

Cartridge was changed but same error msg occurs.
SN {Removed for privacy} DATE: 12-5-08. What can I check now that there is new ink cartridge properly installed. We have turned off, left it set and triedturning on again.

As it is refurring to a yellow/black part its most likely the printhead that needs to be replaced and not the cartridge.

Printer Error Messages When Printing PDF Documents

I keep getting the following error messages when I try to pring a PDF document. This application has failed to start because LXBBGF.DLL was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this. The other error message is: Cannot load library LXBBPRP.DLL using default error 126. I spent over and hour with a Lexmark Tech. who unsistalled my Lexmark X75 printer and he did a register edit to make sure my register was cleared of all the old Lexmark entries. He then reistalled the printer and the drivers, but the error message still pops up when trying to print a PDF Document. He checked out the printer and it will print and scan all other types of documents with no error messages. He also had me unistall Acrobat Reader 11.0 and reinstall it. I also did a sytem restore but none of the remedies I have tried so far has fixed the error messages issues. I would like to get this problem resolved as soon as possible because I need to print my travel documents asap. This forum is great but can someone please let me know how to get in touch with Adobe Technical Support. I need their toll free phone number and email address?

When I first encountered the PDF printing problem I went to the Adobe Web Site and downloaded the most current version of Adobe Reader which was the 11.0.6 version and the Lexmark Technician uninstalled the old driver and installed the updated version of the printer's driver. But this did not resolve the PDF printing problem. Both before and after the PDF printing problem surfaced I was able to print all other document formats except PDF documents.
It seems very strange to me that once I uninstalled the Adobe Reader 11.0.6 and reinstalled my old version of Adobe Reader 9.3.3 that all of sudden I was able to print all of my other PDF documents. But that's what happened and Adobe still insists that it was a printer issue. I did a little research and this is not the first time Adobe has had compatibility/configuration issues with Lexmark printers and they have not resolved these issues.
I know I am taking a chance by using an unsupported unsecure version of Adobe Reader, but at this time I don't have any other option. Unless Adobe develops a patch/workaround solution. Which I hoping they will do, but I don't think this is going to happen soon because this issue is not a high priority as it only effects a small portion of their customer base.
