Hello Jeffrey,
There is no standard solution for your request using BBP_VENDOR_SYNC.
You will have to carry on with BBP_VENDOR_UPDATE_DATA_JOB report and variants depending on source data system.

  • Purchasing group transacting for multiple purchasing organizations

    Hi,
I have a requirement in which i have certain purchasers defined as purchasing groups in my organizational structure. However, these purchasing groups perform sourcing transactions (e.g., bid invitation, auction) for multiple purchasing organizations. In the organizational structure, these purchasing groups are created under an organizational unit that isn't defined as a purchasing organization. They appear "free-floating" since they are not assigned to a particular purchasing organization.
In sourcing transactions (e.g., bid invitation, auction), the list of purchasing groups from which I can choose from depends on the purchasing organization I select. Is there a way to include the "free floating" purchasing groups in the drop-down list?
    Thanks and regards,
    Joy

    Hi Joy,
Its difficult to have a P.Grp with out a P.Org assignment.
    My idea would be:
Assign this P.Grp to one of the P.Orgs (lets say POrg1). Add the entire root as the responsibility of this P.Grp.
When the Purchasers in this P.Grp create a Bid Invitation, the POrg1 will be defaulted always.
At the time of saving the Bid Invitation, use the "BBP_PGRP_ASSIGN_BADI" BADI to overwrite POrg1 value with any other POrg you desire.
    You may test it out.
    Cheers,

  • Vendor replication to multiple purchasing organizations in SRM

In R/3 we have extended vednors to multiple purchasing organizations. In SRM we want to keep the same structure. However, when we replicate vendors from R/3 to SRM, the vendor is only connected to one purchasing organization in SRM. Due to the amout of vendors we have, we do not want to extend vendors manually in SRM. Running BBP_GETVD for a second time does not work either. Has anybody any suggestions how to deal with this?

    Hi
<u>Refer to Web page transactions - Manage Business Partners ( or Instead of BBPSTART or BBPSC01, type the transaction - BBPMAININT ) in the SRM web page.
There, you can associate multiple purchase organizations to the same vendor.</u>

  • Purchasing Groups for multiple Purchase Organizations

    Dear all,
in SRM 5.0 we are using two different purchase organizations which are linked to backend purchase organizations in extended classeical szenario.

  • Plant and purchasing organization

    Hi all,
I have two questions. Hope anybody can help me out.
    1. Do we assign a plant to a purchasing organization or assign a purchasing organization to a plant?
    2. Can I assign a plant to multiple purchasing organizations?
    thx

    Hi,
    1) go to IMG>Enterprise structure>Definition> logistics general> define plant
    Define Purchase organisation in MM
IMG> Enterprise structure>Assignment> Materials Management> assign Purchase organisation to plant OX17
    2)Assign purchasing organization to plant
In this IMG activity, you assign purchasing organizations to the plants for which they are responsible.
    You have the following options:
One purchasing organization procures for one plant.
    This is plant-specific purchasing.
One purchasing organization procures for several plants.
Several purchasing organizations procure for one plant.
Depending on the form you have chosen, assign your purchasing organization(s) to the respective plant(s).
    Rewards welcome

  • Extract Purchasing organization for 0vendor

    Hello Experts,
I am trying to extract the purchasing organization (EKORG) field for 0VENDOR using the standard extractor 0VENDOR_ATTR which gets data from the table LFA1. I am planning to pick this field from the LFM1 table. However, I am confused regarding one thing. In our organization, a vendor can be assigned to multiple purchasing organizations so when I use the condition to fetch EKORG when LFA1-LIFNR = LFMI-LIFNR, I may get multiple values. How should I go about this.
    Thanks
    Rishi

    Hi Rishi,
As you said, if each vendor can be in more than one purchasing organization, you cannot load that attribute into 0VENDOR. What you need to do is create a new infoobject, compounding 0VENDOR and 0PURCH_ORG. But this will make sense if you want to load attributes of the vendor that depends on the purchasing organization or know for which purchase organizations a vendor works.
What do you need to do?
    Hope this helps.

    Diego

  • Creation of vendor organization at all purchasing organization level

    Dear Experts,
Our client is looking for a functionality to create a vendor which links the vendor to all the purchasing organizations (without manual extension) . In the org setp, the client has multiple company codes and purchasing organizations. What I understand is that ERP MM allows us to create a vendor only at purchasing organization (MK01) or company code level (XK 01).
Could you please advise how to create a vendor which is automatically applicable to all the purchasing organizations?
Here, the client is using the supplier registration functonality to register the vendors which on approval will get replicated to to the ERP MM system.
    Thanks and regards,
    Ranjan
    Ranjan Sutradhar

    Hello,
You may define Purchase Organization as the reference Purchase Organization and assign all the purch. organizations to reference purch. organization. Then define Purchase view for the Vendors in Reference Purchase Organization using MK01.
    Thanks,

  • Benefits of Purchase Organization

    Hi,
One of our clients want to understand the short term and long term benefits of having single or separate purchase organization for its two companies (Company Codes). What happens if they have two Pur Orgs and decide to merge into one at a later date? Will there be a gain in having single Pur Org if they have inter company stock transfers?
    Anubhav

    Hi,
My advice is to not think of the P org as being a department, think of it as being a "method of purchasing".
If you deal with a vendor and ALL purchases (from any company code or department) are in the same currency and the same payment terms apply and the same settings are required on the P org view of the master data, then you need only ONE P org. If this rule applies to ALL vendors in every case then you also still only need one P org.
BUT, if you have a vendor where some items or some types of purchase need to be treated differently (a different currency or a different payment terms) then having two P orgs helps because you can set up both versions of the way that you deal with that vendor by setting up the P org data diffferently for each. Then when you rais a PO you simply select the appropriate P org and the default data will be correct.
So the decision is NOT based on how many company codes you have it is based on how many different ways do you have of dealing with the same vendor.
One is best because of the master data involved, but multiple are recommended if you do purchase items in different ways from the same vendor.
there are other influencing factors but this is the main one.

  • Purchasing Organization to Company code relationship question

My client is running EEC 6.0 in production.  When the original configuration was done, the purchasing organization was incorrectly assigned to the company code (table V_T024E_Assign; menu path: IMG > Enterprise Structure > Assignment > Materials Management > Assign Purchasing Organization to company code).  This should have been left blank since we wanted the purchasing organization to serve multiple company codes.  I know that I can blank out the company code and assign each plant ( e.g.  plants for company code 1 and plants for company code 2) to the purchasing organization.
The question that I have is:  What impact would this change have on any of the existing purchasing related transactions currently in the system (e.g. purchase orders, invoices, receipts, issues)?  Would it cause any problems?
Any assistance is answer this would be appreciated.  If you need more information, please let me know.
    Greg Brown
    FI/CO consultant

    (1) You can assign a purchasing organization to one company code. This is company-specific purchasing.
    (2) You can assign a purchasing organization to no company code but to plants.
This purchasing organization can then procure for all plants assigned to it, irrespective of the company code to which the plant belongs.
Since each plant must be assigned to a company code, the company code can be determined via the plant in each procurement transaction, even if the procuring purchasing organization is not assigned to a company code.
A purchasing organization must be assigned to one or more plants. This is plant-specific purchasing.
When you will delete the realtion of P.Org and Company code. It will shift to the second situation where P.Org is assigned to Plant and since Plants are assigned to company code so it will refer to the respective company code.

  • Assign purchase organization to more than one co codes??

    Hey gurus...
Can somebody tell me to how can we assign same purchase organization to more than one company code?
    Ganesh.....

You cannot assign one purchase organization to multiple company codes, but you can assign and use one purchase organization to multiple plants belongs to different company codes.
This cross company code purchase organization is useful for better negotiations at corporate level. You can get header level discounts (applicable on total PO Value) across multiple company codes. If you use cross company code purchase organization, you cannot manually enter company code at header level in the PO. The company code is derived from the plant at GR level.

  • Supplier shall not be provided for the purchasing organization

    Hi all,
I've got a problem with the SRM7 in the assignment of the suppliers for the SC I get the error message: Supplier shall not be provided for the purchasing organization. The latest information I have already incorporated. Can anyone help?
    Thank you for your help
    Olaf

    Hi,
If SC is created for one purchase organization; vendor must assigned to that purchase organization.
First check have you maintained R/3 PurOrg & SRM PurOrg properly. When you transfer vendors R/3 PurOrg is assigned to corresponding SRM PurOrg.
Use tcode: BBPGETVD to transfer vendors initially then use report BBP_VENDOR_SYNC to update all vendors.
You will find where all the customizing can be done on this report.
Path: SPRO->Tecnical Basic Settings->Make Settings for vendor synchronization
Else you can check table: BBPM_BUT_FRG0061 for PurOrg & Vendor mapping. Don't forget to get BP of vendor from table: BUT000.
You can refer SAP Note: 1298544-  Input of supplier data leads to an error message in 2nd step.

  • Purchasing Organization and Company Code

Currently we have one Purchasing organization(0001) (linked to) for multiple Company Codes(LE) for all of Americas
Now for a new implementation in Europe we are thinking of having one more Purchasing Organization for another multiple(10-12)company Codes.
    Now the Questions is:
    1) Should we just go with One Purchasing Org across all the Company codes in terms of SAP Pros and Cons
    2) Or we should have 2 Purchasing Org one each for Europe and US.
What are the Pros and Cons within SAP for having 1 Purchasing Org for two different countries(can we have issues like Currency,Doc type, etc)

    Hi,
Vendor Master data at P Org level is maintained with Vendor CUrrency, Terms of payment, INCOterms,  Schema group (for pricing), etc.  which are for sure, critical for procurement process.  When the currency is getting changed from USD to EUR, you may not want to club these into one which could lead to issues in payment processing.
Downside of this is data maintenance.  extension of vendors, inforecords etc to new P Org
This doesn't mean SAP can not handle multiple currencies even though vendor currency is USD, in PO, you can order in EUR....I have seen, buyers breaking their heads in handling this currency issues (most of the times spending a lot of time on manually working out these issues in the PO)
    Advantage of having single POrg:
Data maintenance.  No extension of vendor to new porgs is required....Of course, Company code extension has to be done anyway

  • SRM - Centralized Purchasing Organization

We have Centralized Shoppers Organization Structure where they have one plant attached to each of their profile at this time inheriting from the header node . With our highlevel reorganization within the company , shoppers will be now shopping for multiple Plant Codes.
How can we set-up their profile to accomadate multiple plant codes and how can we mitigate the risk of not selecting the right plant code in a shopping cart ?   Eg I have 3 plant codes 1000 , 2000 and 3000. And now its defaulted to 1000 and the shopper is shopping for 2000 how can we make sure that they are selecting the right plant code .
is there a possiblity of pulling the plant code from the Cost Center or any cost object i select in the plant code ?? or any other designs used commonly around teh Central Purchasing Organization.
    Any inputs appreciated .
Edited by: Priyalakshmi Bhuvanendran on Jun 15, 2010 10:28 PM

    Hi there,
Regarding "pulling the plant code from the Cost Center"
You could code this in the DOC_CHANGE_BADI so that it would automatically be inserted.
You could use the DOC_CHECK_BADI to do the checks, i.e. you could set up a check on what cost centre has been entered and if the incorrect plant has been inputed then put out an error message.
    Hope this helps,
    Kind Regards,
    Matthew
