1130AG Radio will not enable.

Hey folks,
Something happend over the weekend at a remote site with my 1130AG WAP.  The ethernet is up but the Radio will not come up.  Here are some logs, etc:
000010: *Jun 14 10:46:43.010 CDT: %SSH-5-ENABLED: SSH 1.99 has been enabled
000011: *Jun 14 10:46:43.013 CDT: Writing radio coredump to 'flash:/r0.rcore'

000018: Jun 14 10:49:15.904 CDT: %CDP_PD-4-POWER_OK: Full power - NON_CISCO-NO_CDP_RECEIVED inline power source
000019: Jun 14 10:49:15.904 CDT: Interface Dot11Radio0: not starting because stop-on-failure set
Just so not to rabbit trail, line item 18 above is because I am using a POE injector (non Cisco) which IS 802.3af compliant. (http://www.engeniustech.com/resources/NPE-4818_PoE.pdf).  It's cheaper than purchasing a POE switch (Cisco or otherwise) for only one POE device in this remote office of two users. ($21)
Hereis the #show interfaces Dot11Radio0
Dot11Radio0 is initializing, line protocol is down
Hardware is 802.11G Radio, address is 0000.0000.0000 (bia 0000.0000.0000)
MTU 1500 bytes, BW 54000 Kbit, DLY 1000 usec,

  Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set
ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00
Last input never, output never, output hang never
Last clearing of "show interface" counters never
Input queue: 0/1127/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0
  Queueing strategy: fifo
  Output queue: 0/30 (size/max)
  5 minute input rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec
  5 minute output rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec
0 packets input, 0 bytes, 0 no buffer
     Received 0 broadcasts, 0 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles
     0 input errors, 0 CRC, 0 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored
0 input packets with dribble condition detected
     0 packets output, 0 bytes, 0 underruns
0 output errors, 0 collisions, 0 interface resets
     0 babbles, 0 late collision, 0 deferred
0 lost carrier, 0 no carrier
0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out
I see the Stop-On-Failure log line 19, but not having much luck determining how to trouble-shoot this.
The unit connects back to a 3com switch (after going through the POE Injector).
TAC tells me the warranty ran out last month (May), and I could either do one-time suppport @ $400/hr, or probably better off purchasing a new one.
Before I purchase a new one, what might I be missing that could resolve this?
Thanks,
James

Well, thanks for all the assistance.  The answers were correct so far.  I have awarded
points for them.  The problem still seems to persist.  Here is the latest log files:

Any other ideas or, the radio probably dead?

  • Radio will not enable

    I am running a 2106 controller with 1242 AP,
Had them on a POE injector on the same switch worked fine, mounted them in the ceiling now the radio will not enable."error in enabling admin status". any ideas?

    Hi Paul,
I think you might be running into this issue because the 1242 AP supports the Intelligent Power Management feature (which I didn't even know existed until recently). Have a look at the following.
    Power Issue with the AP
When an AP uses a power injector as the power source, in some cases, the AP displays this error message:
    CDP_PD-2-POWER_LOW: All radios disabled - LOW_POWER_CLASSIC inline
This message indicates that the AP is in low-power mode with all radios disabled and detects a Cisco switch that is unable to supply sufficient power to the AP. Even though the power injector, which can provide sufficient power, is connected with the AP, the AP still displays a LOW POWER error message and disables the radios. Therefore, the AP remains in low-power mode.
One possible reason for this issue might be that the AP supports the Intelligent Power Management feature. The Intelligent Power Management feature uses Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) to allow powered devices, such as an AP, to negotiate with a Cisco switch for sufficient power. The AP supports the Intelligent Power Management feature. As a result of the power negotiations, the AP either enters full-power mode or remains in low-power mode with the radios disabled.
In this case, the AP might be connected to a switch which cannot provide the necessary power to the AP. Therefore, even though the power injector is connected to the AP that uses this Intelligent Power management feature, it gives priority to the CDP information to identify whether or not the switch can provide the power. Once the AP knows, via CDP message, that the switch does not provide sufficient power, it disables the radios and remains in low-power mode.
The workaround to this issue is to tell the AP to ignore the CDP information for power. You can perform this by telnetting into the APs. Issue these commands to enable the APs to use the power injector:
    power inline negotiation prestandard source
    power inline negotiation injector H.H.H
The power inline negotiation command configures the Cisco Aironet 1130AG or 1240AG Series AP to operate with a later version of switch software that does not support Cisco Intelligent Power Management power negotiations.
The prestandard source portion of the command specifies that the Cisco switch runs a later version of software that does not support Intelligent Power Management negotiations, but is able to supply sufficient power to the AP.
The injector H.H.H portion of the command specifies that a power injector supplies power to the AP, and that the AP connects to a new switch port with the indicated MAC address (H.H.H). Enter the MAC address (in xxxx.xxxx.xxxx hexadecimal format) of the new switch port where the power injector is connected.
Note: This command should only be used when you move an AP and power injector to a different switch port.

  • SF300 LAG port doesn't work, LACP will not enable.

I'm trying to configure something that seems pretty trivial.
I need 2-3 ports to participate in a LAG port.  First off, I  get the "Port X belongs to a vlan" if the participating port is  something other than access vlan 1.  This is totally useless.  I need these ports to be dot1Q tunnels.  This happens even If i set the default vlan to 300, (300 is my native or PVID).  Another piece that doesn't seem to work is that LACP will not enable, even if I throw in the towel and make my ports access vlan 1.  What gives?  I've tried this on the only firmware available which has no patches avail yet.  I've tried this on 2x 24ports, and on 2x 48 ports..  all the same issue.

Hi I just gave it a try  you can see my screen captures below.
If you are having trouble, have a word to the good folk at the SBSC if the switch is still under phone support coverage.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/support/tsd_cisco_small_business_support_center_contacts.html
Maybe play it safe and delete your settings and start again... Here are some screen shots from my attempt.
I have to admit I enabled LAG and LACP before I created vlan 100.
you can see i have the same software as you.
add the ports and enable LACP at the same time.
ports 47 and 48 are still excluded from my Tagged Vlan
Now I selected port drop down for VLAN100 and selected LAG.
I then  received and then modified the following screen capture.
Note I manually added LAG interface 1 as a tagged member of VLAN 100.
Why Lag interface 1, because I created LAG 1 previously, as seen in a previous screen shot above.
    regards Dave

  • Iphoto will not enable photo stream

My iPhoto will not enable Photo Stream.  All software is up to date and I have the latest version of iPhoto, in fact Photo Stream was working last week on my Mac.  Now all I get is the msg "iPhoto cannot enable Photo Stream".  Any thoughts ??

Hey dave2468, as you can tell by my original post, this problem surfaced several months ago and out of frustration for lack of an answer to the problem - I called Apple for support.  I was fully prepared to spend the $50 bucks to resolve this issue but fortunately didn't have to.  My problem did get resolved after about 1 &1/2 hours on the phone and the solution revolved around resetting my password for my account...can't tell you why other than ghost in the machine issue.  Yours may be different issue but wanted to let you know how this ultimately got resolved.  I have had no further issues relative to this problem since my phone consultation.  Best of luck - I know how frustrating these things can be. • HP 6700 printer will not enable web services.

My HP 6700 printer will not enable web services. I've already downloaded the firmware update, manually entered the IP and DNS numbers... shutdown the printer and turned it back on.But when i try to enable web services it try's for a while then says web services could not be enabled.. any help would be appreciated.  I have vista.

Hi there, two other things you could try (if not already attempted) are:
Check to ensure that you have the latest firmware for your router – review your router documentation/help (or the router manufacturer’s web site) for information on how to check for and install firmware updates.
Restore factory defaults - The factory default option is usually found in the Setup>Tools menu on your printer.   Do the following on your device:
    Remove/Disable Web Services
Restore factory defaults/settings (depending on the printer this is found under the Setup>Tools menu, or the Setup>Web Services menus, but varies by printer)
If prompted, re-do initial setup of your device and add it to your network
    Re-enable Web Services
Once the Web Services information sheet is printed, use the printer claiming code to add your printer to your account on ePrintCenter

  • Bluetooth will not enable(6230i)

    Hello
I have a new 6230i and when I go to the Bluetooth menu and select
    Bluetooth->On
it goes back to the Bluetooth menu with bluetooth set to 'Off'.
If I turn off the phone and turn back on and try it again, Bluetooth->On, I get the message:
    "Switching on Bluetooth"
but it goes back to the Bluetooth menu with bluetooth set to 'Off'.
I have tried the same with a 6230 and Bluetooth switches on everytime.
Does it sound like my new 6230i is broke? Any ideas?
Are there any firmware upgrades which could fix this?

No didnt drop the phone but if it was damaged by a drop i would have expected something else to be damaged. I have used the USB cable, IrDA, camera and normal phone operation and they seem to be ok, just the bluetooth will not enable. This leads me to think it is a problem from the factory.
First thing i tried was taking out the battery as you suggested. I will return to the store and see what they think but is there a Nokia tech support?

  • Client (an internet radio) will not automatically connect

Trying to install an internet radio Sagecom RM 50 on my intel mac lion with a time capsule. It will not connect automatically. I can connect using a pin and inputting the MAC, but when turning the radio off , it will not reconnect automatically. The radio works perfect on my office system with a thompson router and windows xp. Any ideas?

Sorry I haven't fully explained. First time I have joined a forum for assistance.
The Sagemcom RM50 is a wireless only internet radio and should connect automatically to your network after it scans for available networks and you input the encryption key. It works as advertised with my work router and windows xp system. I checked it at work for troubleshooting only to ensure that there was not a problem with the radio.
I want to use this at home, but it does not connect automatically with my TC and imac. It recognizes both my normal and guest networks. I am able to input the encryption key with no faults, but it just continues attempting to connect with no error codes. The only way I have been able to connect is by "add wireless client" manually from the airport utility. This is where there is an option to use a PIN. The PIN is generated from the radio itself. The radio MAC address is then found and the connection established with no further problems. (There is also an option for "connect on first attempt" but this does not work.) According to the airport utility documentation after you have added a wireless client, it should reconnect without a password.
The problem is that when you turn the radion off and back on the radio will not automatically reconnect.
We have 6 or 7 other  wi-fi devises (both apple and non-apple) that have never given this sort of problem.
It appears that the TC or OS is not saving or recognizing the radio MAC address when you turn it on. It just continues attempting to connect. I'm pretty certain at this point there is something blocking the wireless connection attempt and that a setting needs to be revised to allow the radio to connect and an IP address provided.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  • Wifi ac dongle 900 will not enable.

    Hi
I am having problems getting my dongle 900 to work.I have the correct drivers installed from hardware and also tried from the BT website online, but it says they maybe fautly.I have also installed the windows update. The item appears in my adapter list as disabled but when I click enable a small window pops ups saying "enabling" then "enabled" but it still tells me it's disabled and will not connect. Also when I diagnose the problem it says"windows could not automatically bind the IP protocol stack to the network adapter".This is the second dongle I have tried same result with both, any help would be helpful as the help desk is no help.
    Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I also ran into this issue, as the original poster never included the solution here's how to fix it:
Click the Start Orb and Right click on COMPUTER then click MANAGE
Go down to SERVICES AND APPLICATIONS then choose SERVICES
In the list that appears scroll down until you see something called "WLAN AutoConfig"
    Right click and choose PROPERTIES
In the drop down box next to where it says STARTUP TYPE choose AUTOMATIC and hit APPLY
Once that's done you'll see four buttons under SERVICE STATUS you want to choose START
Hit APPLY and close all windows, your dongle is now enabled
Now you should be able to go back to your network connections and connect to your BT Hub wirelessly.

  • Linksys AE1200 will not enable.

I purchased an AE1200 adapter brand new today, installed drivers (which I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times) and the system appears to recognize the adapter. What it will not do is allow me to Enable the adapter. I'll recap my steps so far: 1) Installed drivers from both disc and website (seperately)2) Uninstalled and reinstalled drivers.3) Uninstalled antivirus/firewall program in case of blocking.4) Scanned for hardware changes and disabled/enabled all other networking adapters.5) Tried adapter in both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports on front and back of my tower. Anyone have a suggestion for further steps I can try to get this thing working?

Check if WZC is disabled. If it is, set it to automatic.
    1. Click start, type “services.msc” in the start search box and press enter.
    2. In services windows scroll down to locate “WLAN AutoConfig”.
    3. If the startup type is not automatic, right click the service and change the startup type to “Automatic”.
    4. Click Apply.
BTW, is this the first adapter you've installed on this computer? Try to install the adapter on another computer to know if it is defective.
You may also try to disable the LAN and try to enable WLAN again.
