115.10.2 AppsLocalLogin - Personalization

Hello.
We have successfully personalized many self-service web pages. However, there is no link on the AppsLocalLogin page to personalize it. We have turned on the ability to personalize at the site level, but no personalization link is shown on the login page.
How can this page be personalized?

personalize page link is not available in iSupport 11.5.10, if you need to change the color/display etc of iSupport module (not any other module), then you need to write a custom renderer and for changing the widgets you would need to alter the AK metadata.
Let me know if you need help with iSupport 11.5.10, i think you are looking at a different module/resp, since there is no personalize page link in iSupport in 11.5.10.

I am trying to add a custom message with some links to the loginpage that is built with AppsLocalLogin.jsp. I would like to place the custom messages and link in an html file and then call it from AppsLocalLogin.jsp. Is there a way to do this? Is there a way to isolate an error in the message html so that the login page is not disabled when this occurs?

Whenever you run AutoConfig (it happens also when you apply a patch that run AutoConfig at the end) you will lose any customization you do with AppsLocalLogin.jsp

How can we copy personalization from one to an othere resp/function

guys,
As we use people and maintain function to maintain employee information, in this function we have made personalization and working fine, but after restricting function which is appearing on others button like (absence, qualification, previous employer) etc, then we need to create task flow node and configure with new function as copy people function.however, the personalization which was attached People window one is working but new function of people window have without personalization.
So therefore i want to copy all this previous function personalization into new function,

Just to clarify what you're after, can you confirm that these assumptions are correct:
1) You're not talking about OA Framework personalization on any SSHR page
2) You are referring to the Combined Person and Assignment Form (PERWSHRG) under *HRMS Manager > People > Enter & Maintain
3) You're not talking about Forms Personalization (Help > Diagnostics > Custom Code > Personalize)
4) You are talking about custom Task Flow definitions
Do you want to copy the Task Flows and Upload? You can use a command like this to upload/download task flows. This is an example of downloading/uploading task flow nodes:
1) Submit Processes and Reports > Download HRMS Taskflows
2) Run this FNDLOAD command:
FNDLOAD apps/<apps_pw> 0 Y DOWNLOAD $PER_TOP/patch/115/import/hrwfunit.lct nav_units.ldt HR_NAVIGATION_UNITS
3) Upload:
FNDLOAD apps/<apps_pw> 0 Y UPLOAD $PER_TOP/patch/115/import/hrwfunit.lct nav_units.ldt
If you simply want your copied Function to use the same Task Flow just check it's got the same Form Parameters as the original function definition.
If this doesn't help, please clarify your requirement further.

Moving personalization from one instance to another.

Could anyone guide me with the steps of moving personalizations from one istance to another..

what could be the filename.ldt location,
should i execute this from putty on unix box...

I am followin that document, but it does not tell me where do i execute the script.. Please if you could..Run the command on the server as applmgr user and after sourcing the application env file. You can run the command anywhere provided that the directory is writable by applmgr user.

App_special in personalization throws pls-00201

I am trying to call APP_SPECIAL2.ENABLE from a form personalization but it is throwing a pls-00201 Identifier must be declared. Here is the code I am executing from the Execute a Procedure builtin:

FNDLOAD missed some personalization's from 11.5.10.2 to 12.1.2

Hi,
I am working on the Upgrade project . We are upgrading the Oracle applications from 11.5.10.2 to 12.1.2 . So i am uploading the all personalizations from 11i to R12.
I created the ldt file from 11i and and tried to upload in R12. But some of the functions are missed in R12 so the Count is not matched as per the 11i personalizations. I checked in the meta link and they suggested the patch p9446215_R12.FND.B_R12_GENERIC.Zip for R12.
So i tried with latest lct file which is provided with patch also i am missing some data after uploading in the R12. when i check the log file after uploading the data, it is throwing some error. I am mentioning the error below.
I tried to Upload form level as well as Function level. In both ways count of personalizations are not matched.

In the custom mode i tried in both ways like custom_mode=FORCE as well as UPLOAD_MODE=REPLACE. but there is no change in the uploaded R12 files.What if you use "WARNING=YES" option in the FNDLOAD command, do you get any details in the log?

Import/Export Personalizations

Hi All,
I have created LOV item using personalization in devolopment instance. For that i have created VO,RN and LOV is created successfully. Now i have exported the personalization to file system.
I want the LOV in test instance. I have copied the required files in test instance and imported the personalization. But i have not found LOV in Test instance. Can you please tell me where i went wrong?

Personalization - FITV_POWL_TRIPS -

I have tried to hide several columns in the FITV_POWL_TRIPS abap webdynpro under adminstrative mode to transport from our DEV system up the landscape to QAS and PROD. I receive the popup to create a task when saving the changes. When going into se10 to transport the changes I have two requests created. One with the object in the task and one request with nothing in it? The changes take effect in the DEV client but when transporting the request with the object "115* AFITV_POWL_TRAVELLER" in the task request to QAS or PROD they do not get applied. I have also tried this from the preview mode of the iview for the travel webdynpro. This creates two requests with only one of the requests having an object defined for it. I get the same results. I need to hide specific columns and show certain columns. Has anyone else experienced this problem using personalization to hide or make visible the columns of this application. I really need to hide and make visisble certain columns for the travel management solution in production.

We are also using the ABAP webdynpros for travel. Under FITV_POWL_TRIPS a tabstrip is displayed with several different tabs . I have make invisibble the two tabs the u2018All My Travel Requestsu2019 and u2018All My Travel Plansu2019 through the following path:
Content Administration => Portal Content => LSI Content => HR => Travel Expenses => Employee Self Service => ERP 2005 EhP2=> iViews => Travel Expenses => My Travel Trips and Expenses => click on Preview Tab => Right click on the tab area and select u2018Settings for Current Configurationu2019 to get into u2018Tabstrip Controlu2019
But the change takes effect only for myself user id. How you managed to apply it globally?

FNDLOAD for Form Personalization migration - OKEKAUWB form

I wrote some Form Personalization code for the Form OKEKAUWB (Project Contracts --> Authoring workbench form). I need to migrate the work to the Test environment.
I am using the following FNDLOAD command:
$FND_TOP/bin/FNDLOAD APPS/<password> 0 Y DOWNLOAD $FND_TOP/patch/115/import/affrmcus.lct XX_OKEKAUWB.ldt FND_FORM_CUSTOM_RULES function_name="OKEKAUWB"
This command creates the .ldt file but it does not contain the Personalization Data. Hence the upload of the .ldt file to the TEST environment does not yeild in migration of any data, and obviously I am seeing 'No data found for upload' in the log file generated.
What is wrong with this command? why is it not extracting the data from the FND_FORM_CUSTOM_RULES and other tables containing the personalization data?

There are 3 kinds to choose of REQUIRED.
What is the difference between they (REQUIRED, REQUIRED (Item-Instance) and REQUIRED (Application-Cover)?

I am guessing that your referrring to the level of detail for the forms personalization. When dealing with Oracle Forms, you have three different levels. Just remember FBI, Form/Block/Item level objects. Just like creating form triggers at each of these levels, you can define rules at them as well.
Personalization rules are defined in the form's *.ldt file found in the $FND_TOP directory. You'll need to know the name of your form and the *.ldt file associated with it. You'll need to update the *.ldt file with a rule condition like the following:

Report personalization issue..

Hi Experts,
We have published our few reports which are orignially created in Query designer in our BW portal using the WAD iviews. We have a issue that when we choose "Personalize Web application" for a report then same reports opens up every time even if we choose to open different report.
Can any one please suggest why it is happening!

How to find the user who did the personalization?

Hi All,
Is there a way to find out which user has done personalizations in a given OA page? For e.g. if a user has done personalization for hiding a text bean in a page, I want to find out that user's name by passing the page name to a script?
Even if not possible through script, if there is any other way to achieve this, please let me know.

I dont think it is possible. The LAST_UPDATED_BY column in JDR_PATHS is always set to INTERNAL.

In Design CS2 won't accept serial number during "Personalization" In Design

Re: InDesignCS2 rejects the serial number provided for CS2 special "no-activation" versions.
I am having an identical set of issues as outlined in the above discussion but I am using Windows 7.
My hard disk died and I am simply trying to get back up to speed with the new one. I have Creative Suite 2 Premium. Following the special instructions for moving certain files so that I wouldn't have the Insert Disk 2 problems I managed to get PhotoShop actuvated and running. However, I am unable to "personalize" InDesign because the system does not like the serial number. I have tried the one that came on the original box and the one that was on the link I used to download the programs. Both with and without the hyphens.
I have also been unable to uninstall InDesign and start over as the wizard was interrupted just as it was described above.
I have followed the instructions on the link you provided to manually remove CS2: Manually remove Adobe Creative Suite 2.x | Windows Including attempting to uninstall Creative Suite. However, Adobe InDesign CS2, Adobe Illustrator CS2, and Adobe SVG Viewer 3 still appear in the list of programs and for some reason cannot be uninstalled using the control panel.
In looking at the files that are still on the computer I see a folder C:\Creative Suite CS2. It has folders in it for PhotoShop, Illustrator, and Version Cue plus some other stuff. I was able to delete each of the files individually. but when I attempt to delete Illustrator, I get an error message saying that it can't be deleted because a folder or file is open in another application. When I attempt to uninstall that one using the control panel I get a message saying the remover was interrupted before it could finish.
I haven't even gotten to the part of the instructions where you remove things from the registry!
Any thoughts on where to go from here?

Unable to see the personalization link on any page

Hi,
I am unable to see the personalization link on any of my pages (not even on login page).
I am setting the profile option value to "Yes" for the profile option
FND: Personalization Region Link Enabled
Also I have bounced the Apache.
Please help me as I am stuck due to this.

Did you enabled the profile option Personalize Self-Service Defn (FND_CUSTOM_OA_DEFINTION) .It must be set to Yes.
