One thing you might want to look at is the engine's BPM_CUBE_PROCESS table. I've had null pointer exceptions when logging into the Workspace that was caused by a problem with this table's STATUS column.
To see if this might be your issue, log into the database as DEV_SOAINFRA and run this query:
select processId,processName, status from bpm_cube_process;This will return a list of the BPM Projects that the Workspace is looking for that are active. If the table thinks it is active, the status is 1. If it is not then the status is -1.
If this is a development environment, get on Enterprise Manager and undeploy all your BPM projects. Run the above SQL query again. Every row returned should have a -1 status. If you see a row that has a status set to "1" then you have an issue that can be fixed. Run an UPDATE SQL query against the row and change the status from "1" to "-1".
This is obviously something you would not want to do in a production environment, but if this is your development environment it is something you should look into.

  • Library Inspector's "Last Import" shows nothing after import.

Photos are imported, but the "Last Import" option under Library>Recent>Last Import is always blank after an import. Why? How do I turn on?
I just imported 301 photos, but as you can see from the image, with "Last Import" selected, nothing is in the window. If I go to projects or photos, the import is there. I want to be able to see Just the "Last Import"

It looks like you have a filter set on your "Last Import" view.
Try to clear the search field in the Browser - it should show "Showing All"

  • Nothing after login

I just set up MobileMe and restarted my computer. When asked to login with my password, I do so, the login screen goes away, and it sits with my wallpaper and cursor. Nothing else. Finder doesn't load, dock doesn't load. Nothing. I am then forced to hold down the power button to shut it off. Safe Boot works and I can get past the login screen just fine with that. I only have one user account so I don't know if it is just my account or not.

    UPDATE:
I reinstalled Snow Leopard from the Install DVD and still nothing is different. Just blank wallpaper on login with cursor. No desktop items or dock or anything. It is really frustrating and if I can't figure it out soon I am going to have to erase and install Snow Leopard. Luckily I have a Windows partition and can access my files on my Mac from that to back up.

  • 11.1.1.5 - How can we increase the timeout of BPM Workspace ?

    Hi ,
I am facing an issue where the BPM Workspace times out after every 5 mins or so.
I read in another post that we need to edit some workspace.properties file - where can I find it.
I tried using http://technology.amis.nl/blog/13768/increase-the-timeout-of-oracle-bpm-worklist-app/comment-page-1#comment-481839 but ran into some issues (should be there as my comment) where the timeout became too high.
    Appreciate your help.
    Thanks

I got this resolved. Added a different variable for the weblogic.xml timeout and teh web.xml timeout (Btw the digits after the timeout props are not needed if you donot need too many variables).
Also My config root was pointing to the wrong war. I changed it to point to a correct .war (relative location can be used too) & it worked just fine after that !
    Thanks

  • BPM Workspace 11.1.1.4 fails after login

    Hi,
I am getting an issue when logging into BPM Workspace (11.1.1.4) where the browser displays nothing and the SOA Server log shows the following issue compiling bpmHome.jsf.

(I also get a diagnostic image generated).
I have rebuilt the Domain from scratch - same behaviour.
The other BPM web-based apps (composer and Worklist) seem fine.
    This is running on Ubuntu.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks,

    .

    Hi,
I managed to fix this on my own as I started looking at the BPEL side of things and started getting errors deploying services to the SOA Server due to too many files being open.
To fix this I bumped up my open files max from 1024 to 4096.
I also added some extra Java properties to my setDomainEnv.sh to get rid of the following start up message...
<BEA-000402> <There are: 5 active sockets, but the maximum
number of socket reader threads allowed by the configuration is: 4. You
may want to alter your configuration.>
    EXTRA_JAVA_PROPERTIES="${EXTRA_JAVA_PROPERTIES} -Dweblogic.ThreadPoolPercentSocketReaders=50 -Dweblogic.ThreadPoolSize=100 -Dweblogic.SelfTuningThreadPoolSizeMin=100"
    export EXTRA_JAVA_PROPERTIES
This definitely improved performance drastically but I don't know which of the above steps fixed my BPM Workspaces problem (maybe its both) but they both helped me with each problem I had.
    Cheers.

When Searched in Oracle Support Here is the information that they specified. But This is also not working.
    Service error.
Internal Error; Service error occurs in IdentityService in method lookupUser.
Refer to the log file that is configured for oracle.soa.services.identity for more details on this error and contact Oracle Support Services
at oracle.bpel.services.identity.client.AbstractIdentityServiceClient.lookupUser(AbstractIdentityServiceClient.java:195)Cannot log in to workspace( BPM 11g).
    Fix
One of the reasons this issue might happen is when the application (in this case the Workspace) was not able to connect to the Identity services.
And the cause of bug was network configuration issues which prevented connection to IdentityService SOAP endpoint using the configured server hostname.
So to overcome this issue, set the ServerURL property in the soa-infra config mBean to http://127.0.0.1
    This should resolve the issue.
An alternative option is to use any other valid server IP address / port.
In future the bug fix will have log messages which will post warnings in the logs if the host name used in the URL is not resolved.
    How to set the MBean:
    1. Login to the em console
    2. Right click on soa-infra
    3. Goto Administration ->SystemMBean Browser
    4. Goto Application Defined MBeans
    5. Find Oracle.as.soainfra.config ->Expand "Server: <your server name>"
    6. Goto SoaInfraConfig -> click on soa-infra
    7. Find the Property ServerURL, enter value as http://127.0.0.1
    8. Click on Apply

This is related to the authentication providers you have configured in WebLogic. Check that the providers are configured property for whatever identity store you need to use - integrated WebLogic, OID, AD, etc. - and that they are in the correct order.

    Hi Ravi, Leaf
I am facing similar issue when trying to logon to bpm workspace (http://localhost:7001/bpm/workspace) after installing BPM & SOA Suite 11.1.1.4 Developers (single JVM install of AdminServer only).
    Steps I followed are-
    1.     Database is XE, I have set an environment variable to TRUE as suggested on download instructions page
    2.     Install SOA suite 11.1.1.4 by choosing the options for BPM for developers
    3.     When logging to WLS and em console with “weblogic” user, it works fine.
    4.     On the em console, I have checked and verified the “BPMWorkspaceAdmin” role exists and weblogic user is a added to the role
    5.     However using “weblogic” user, I can not login to bpm workspace (http:// localhost:7001/bpm/workspace). The server log shows-

I'm just noticing this tonight, too.  I had Lr3 scan for missing photos.  It identified 388 out of about 20,000.  In checking on that, I tried to reconnect one to the current path, but nothing happens.  The entry for that shot stays in the Missing Photographs group, and the "missing" icon remains on the thumbnail.

  • BPM Workspace 10gR3 Portlet integration in WebCenter 11g

Hi guys, I want to integrate my BPM processes within WebCenters portal. What i want to do is to present my bpm workspace inside portlets that will live in Webcenter. My question is, if there is an out-of-the-box solution in webcenter for doing this or if an implementation must be done to achieve this. If the second choice is the best I would like to know what kind of portlet (technology of the porlet) would be the best for implementing this integration. My Bpm workspace will be implemented on version 10gR3 and webcenter´s version is 11g. Thank you so much!!

  • BPM 11g Role Assignment not Reflected on BPM Workspace

    Hi,
I'm having trouble with role maping in JDeveloper for my BPM 11g project, where the server groups mapped against a particular applcation role is not reflected in BPM workspace.
I'm mapping application roles with server groups in the Organization section of my BPM project in JDeveloper, but when I open the Administration section of the BPM workspace, I see that the appropriate section is blank where there should be the server group assigned.
I have confirmed that the server groups are in place, and have users associated with them. I even tried ti with the Administrators groups of WebLogic, with the same results.
However, when I deployed this same project on an Oracle On Demand server, the JDeveloper role maapping was successfully deployed along with my process. Could anyone please provide some insight in this matter?
I'm working on JDeveloper and SOA 11.1.1.5
    Thanks,
    Debojit

    HI,
In 11g you have the concept of Global Links. You can refer to http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/user.1111/e15175/bpmug_ext_apps.htm#BACCACGI fro example of how this can be acheived
I think there are also some samples on java.net for Oracle BPM Suite however this appears to be down at the time of posting so I can not validate this.
    Hope this helps

    Figure 1
From the error, seems the cause was the Reporting Service Point detected a wrong port. We digged around in Registry and found the information is a Registry key named ReportServerUri at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SMS\SRSRP. After changing the Report
Server address to https. The error is gone as shown in Figure 2. But the issue remains, the Console still shows nothing. It is not a right direction.

    Figure 3
It seems the Console wants to access the old http site and it fails to get into the site for sure. Actually, the Site Configuration information is come from Site Control File and as we all know that ConfigMgr 2012 doesn’t store the Site Control file in the
file system. However, it’s stored in the SQL database (as XML file). The XML file is stored in a view named vSMS_SC_SiteControlXML. This view is a read-only view. We cannot edit it directly. The related table stored the SSRS information for this view is SC_SysResUse_Property.
Running the following query will list the SSRS address. We can see the address is still the old one. This is why the Console shows nothing.
    SELECT
    name,
    value2
    FROM dbo.SC_SysResUse_Property
    where name
    ='ReportServerUri'
    or name=
    'ReportManagerUri'
    Remarks:
This article is just to let you know why the Console cannot show the Reports after changing to SSL mode. We do not intend to make you change the table in Database, if you want to change it, you will be at your own risk. The real solution to this situation
is to reinstall your Reporting Service Point.

Ok, but how do you solve this problem? Does uninstalling the RP and adding it back solve this problem?
