11g Forms and SSO Third-party / custom identity provider

For 11g Forms, we currently use database accounts to authenticate users.
With a custom written identity provider, I was wondering if anyone knew the high-level of how a user could be SSO authenticated with a Forms session.
Here are some questions:
Do you need other Oracle products (OAM or OID) to use Weblogic / Forms SSO authentication with a third-party identity provider?
If you continue to use unique database accounts, don’t you need OID to bridge the link between an SSO account and an oracle database user account?
If you don’t use unique database accounts (i.e. only use schema name for all users), what products are need to allow Webgate / Forms to use a third-party identity provider to launch a forms database session? i.e would the SSO name be passed to the database layer for user auditing.
I would appreciate if anyone had concepts of what products/techniques are needed.

If the ICX_SESSION is already available then the form(I am assuming you are refering to a web based form here) should open directly if the function should be accessible to the user logged in. When you say your custom application is included in Oracle apps are you launching these pages from the Ebiz home page through menus and functions ?

Problem: Deploy a SSO Third Party Integration Adapter in Portal

A user want to deploy a SSO third party integration adapter (Novell Access Gateway) in Portal (AS v10.1.2.0.2). And used method in Note 430877.1. They can login through Novell Access Gateway and login Portal, but when click search user button, there always show a blank IE. And no error log. How to resolve? Thanks.

I have found out that in SAP Portal it must be possible to create a new system from a par-file which is uploaded to portal before.
I have such a par-file. It is deployed and uploaded to the portal server. And the application which is contained by this PAR is running in SAP Portal. But when I go to
System Administration --> System Configuration --> Portal Content --> right mouse click to folder --> new System from par
then this PAR can not find there.
I have also tried to upload this PAR manually to portal. But the result is the same. This PAR does not exist in the radiobutton-options to create a new System.
Please can anybody tell me how to create a system (or a system-template) from an uploaded PAR-file?

My wife has been having problems with Safari, and many third party software and malware programs infecting her Mac Book Pro. I have tried to reset Safari but it keeps coming back, taking over Safari, changing defaults, start pages, and search engines, Etc.
Is it safe to use programs like MacKeeper, who keeps send my wife's computer message and alerts, or should I just wipe the drive and start over?

How to Deploy 11g Forms and EBS Applications?

Dear All,
Just need to know some technical information regarding EBS.
Previously I have worked with Oracle forms and reports 6i and we used to deploy the application developed in this tool to publish using Application Server 9i/10g. I also have hands on experience on that.
Now after 4 years I am again trying to do some hands-on on later versions.
Just want to know that for Developer Suite 10g, If i developer the application it will be published using Application Server 10g? so that the user can access this application?
How EBS application is host and published?
Will really appreciate your kind help.

Will really appreciate your kind help.Oracle Developer 10g comes as part of Oracle EBS installation, so no Oracle AS installation is required. You need need to install Developer 10g on your client to build forms/reports.

Secure the file/data transfer between XI and any third-party system

Hi All,,
I would like to use to "secure" SSH on OS Level the file/data transfer between XI and any third-party system Run OS Command before processing and OS command After processing. right now my XI server installed on iSeries OS.
with ISeries we can't call the Unix commands hope we need to go for AS400 (CL) Programming. If we created the AS400 programm how i can call that in XI.
If any one have idea pls let me know weather it will work or not.

I have red some blogs like /people/krishna.moorthyp/blog/2007/07/31/sftp-vs-ftps-in-sap-pi to call the Unix Shell script in XI.
But as i know in iSeries OS we can write the shell script we need to go for AS400 programe. If we go with AS400 how we need to call that programe and it will work or not i am not sure there i need some help please.

E-Recruitment Third Party Internet Service provider

Hi Experts
I am implementing e-Recruitment 3.0 at one of client site. Here we are looking out for integration with the third party internet service provider i.e. job sites. Wherein we will able to surf and search external job site for the suitable resume based on the requirement. These requiremnts are defined in e-Recruitment thru Requisition.
Based on the requisition, we will be search the resume and upload the same into e-Recruitment.
In normal e-Recruitment their is no node for integration with the external service provider.
I am not getting the proper trigger to reach the integration part.
Has anybody done this...?? If yes how did you do it..??

let us take this step by steb ok :
1. in e-rec 3 there is no functionality for integration with 3rd party service provider.
2. there is a new role for teh above in ERP2005/ecc6...but I think this role is more for a headhunter to supply resumes of candidates online to your organisation
3. coming to your requirement, if you have enterprise portal I suggest that :
a. get the external service provider's link on to ure portal content (an MOU kinda doc needs to be signed between the 2 parties)
b. then the requestor can search cv's based on the requirement (this still does not solve the issue of integration between your requirements-in-requisition and the content of the service provider)here u have to remember that trex is solely for your e-rec instance only and and cannot be used to ''search'' a service providers content unless the content is already in your e-rec system, which can be achieved by point-c below.
c.in e-rec 3, the alternative I have found was modifying the external candidate bsp page to remove all links except the part where ther profile is uploaded, and creating a unique identifier for all such headhunters to identify the resumes from each of them respectively, and allow access to the custom page thru internet. This worked fine for me,... but a lot still depends on ure client's requirements.

Configuring 11g forms and reports with sso in fusion middleware 11.1.1.6

I have followed the below oracle support documents to integrate the three components Oracle Fusion middleware forms and reports 11.1.1.6, OID 11.1.1.2 and OAM 11.1.1.5.
How to Install, Configure and Integrate Oracle Internet Directory (OID) and Oracle Access Manager (OAM) 11g? (Doc ID 1395233.1)
How to Integrate Forms 11gR2 with OAM/SSO after an 11gR2 Forms/Reports Installation (Doc ID 1531370.1).
After completing the above steps i am able to access the OAM console with OID username.
But while trying to access the Forms through the URL, i'm geeting 404 page not found error.
Can someone help me on this.

Meaning is that your vendor directly ship goods to your cutomer,here no delivery takeplace from your company
Process :
Sales order >> Purchase requisition >> P.O >> Invoice reciept from vendor >>> Invoice to customer woth refrance to sales order
Indirect Third party sales
Meaning is that here vendor ship material to your company and then from your company you ship to customer
Process :
Sales order >> Purchase requisition >> P.O >> Goods Reciepts >> Outbound delivery with refrance to order >> invoice with refrance to delivery

YouTube and "Matched third party content".

I have known for a few years that YouTube employs software that can detect videos containing audio from commercial CDs etc. but I didn't know how incredibly efficient it is.
I filmed a large theatrical event ten days ago and yesterday uploaded almost 2 hours of edited video in 9 parts.
Within seconds of the upload finishing, the "Matched third party content" message was appearing on 4 of the 9 videos.
It appears that the people organising the performance had used commercial music in those parts but in the others they were playing their own instruments.
Whether or not they have a licence to use the recordings I have yet to discover.
Generally speaking, YouTube allows you to use professional music in non-profit making videos but sticks adverts on them.
Regardless of whether YouTube permits it, the use of music from CDs etc. is illegal and if they wish, the copyright owners can sue you for large sums of money.
Frequently on the FCP X forum (and others) editors claim that because they have bought the recording they can use it in any way they wish.
This is totally incorrect and the purchase of a record usually only permits you to play it in your own home or in an iPod/car audio system type device when away from home.
The use in public halls and in videos (even for personal use) is forbidden.
Anyway, getting back to YouTube's copyright detection equipment, I am absolutely amazed at how it monitors every uploaded video and instantly flags up a violation even though the original recording may be somewhat distorted by having passed through a PA system and been picked up by a dodgy camcorder mic.

Even crowd noises, added audio-effects or over-layered sounds don't 'irritate' those detectors.
What irritates me:
there are literally MILLIONS of 'videos' at YT avail, showing a plain title 'Lady Gaga's latest' plus actual hits, etc ....
For me as a YT-customer, I don't see the conclusiveness of the publishing politics of YouTube.......

We wish to use the bea personalization server <pz:contentselector> tag so as to
display personalized data to the users.The content should be retrieved from the
third party content management system and we are using DocumentProvider for that.
The question is - Can we create a contentselector in ebcc which picks up the content
from the vignette(third party CMS). If yes,what are the configurations that need
to be done and how?
I have alraedy configured DocumentManager and DocumentConnectionPool entries to
be set to VignetteDocumentProvider in the meta-inf\application-config.xml.
The question is what configurations to be done so that I can create a contentselctor
rule in eBCC so that it picks up from JNDI i.e Third party CMS. I really need

I want to install oracle and forms to work with oracle 11g database.
can some one provide the download links. I checked with oracle fusion links and there is too much. Not sure which is the one to install. Thanks.

Well, what you need will depend on what you are doing and which Forms/Reports version you want. In general, "Forms" and "Reports" are no longer stand-alone products. They are integrated into Application Server (Fusion Middleware). So, you will end up installing more than just "Forms" or "Reports" no matter what you do. This is more true of Fusion Middleware 11. In version 10, the installation was a little lighter weight.
So, you can download Fusion Middleware 11 from here:

Look for the download titled Portal, Forms, Reports and Discoverer (11.1.1.2.0) . The one labeled "11.1.1.3" is not a fully product, it is a patch for 11.1.1.2. Normally we would not put patches on OTN, but this was an exception. The FMw installation will also require WebLogic Server to be installed first. Refer to the installation guide for details. Links to all the documentation is on the top of the download page.
