11i Apache error_log

Hi All,

Hi,
$IAS_ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/conf/httpd.conf
loglevel is debugChange the value of loglevel to warn (either manually and bounce Apache, or by setting the value of "s_apache_loglevel" and run AutoConfig), and see if you can reproduce the issue then.
In my old solaris8 i was not getting these messages but now i am getting it , do you have any idea why?I do not think it is something to do with the OS migration as it is with the debug level value, so please try the above and see if it helps.
Thanks,
Hussein

  • Unusual Apache error_log entries

    My Apache error_log (and my wife's) are full of these:
    [Mon Feb 04 13:19:31 2013] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] File does not exist: /Library/WebServer/Documents/crls
    [Mon Feb 04 13:19:31 2013] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] File does not exist: /Library/WebServer/Documents/crls

    [Mon Feb 04 13:27:56 2013] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] File does not exist: /Library/WebServer/Documents/crls
    They seem to appear randomly. We've wondered whether it was Safari, Versions or something else causing them, but they appear even when those are quit.
    Sometimes they're a bit different:
    [Fri Aug 17 15:09:05 2012] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] File does not exist: /Library/WebServer/Documents/ThawtePremiumServerCA.crl
    or:
    [Thu Aug 23 08:51:07 2012] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] File does not exist: /Library/WebServer/Documents/SVRSecureG3.cer
    They've appeared for as long as I can remember (so probably from Snow Leopard onwards) and they drive us a bit crazy!
    It's just one of those things that's always been annoying and it'd be wonderful if someone out there knew what the issue was.
    Many thanks in anticipation!

    Thanks very much for the reply.
    No luck though - those commands didn't seem to do anything.
    One odd thing is that, when I restart Apache, it does take a while before the errors start appearing again.
    They also happen when I'm not using it so it must be something the machine's doing in the background.
    Just noticed I posted this reply using my developer account, hence the different profile name!

    Welcome to the forums !
    Does your application function normally without errors ? If so, these messages can be ignored.
    Pl see MOS Doc 422419.1 (R12, 12.1.1 - How To Enable and Collect Debug for HTTP, OC4J and OPMN) for specific settings that can cause these messages to be recorded in the logs.

  • Errors in apache error_log

    I have installed 4.20.983 on a RHEL 3 update 7 x86_64 server. I keep seeing error messages in the SGD webserver error log file:
    /opt/tarantella/webserver/apache/1.3.33_mod_ssl-2.8.22_openssl-0.9.7e_jk1.2.8/htdocs/favicon.ico
    not existing as well as files in the htdocs/style directory. The favicon.ico file does not exist nor does the style directory. Should they exist, i.e. do I have a bad install?

    favicon.ico is a small icon that you create; it's that little icon that shows up to the left of the URL in the address/location window at the top of the browser.
    If you want one, google something like "favicon.ico create" or the like; if you don't have one, it's not exactly critical.

  • Problem with retrieving data from Oracle 10g / PHP4.3 / Apache 1.3.27

    Hi,
    I re-open a new thread following the opened post 'Getting RPMs for php-oracle for PHP4.3 on RHEL 4.0 and issue with OCI8 '
    I could re-installed PHP4.3 and apache 1.3.27 from the normal tar package (./configure then make) - I had some issues with the RPMs packages before.
    I could connect successfully PHP4.3 to my Oracle 10g DB with no issues by using some of the (deprecated) functions contained in oracle.so library in command line mode by executing a simple PHP script ;-)
    But ...when I try to execute the same script (a simple log on to the DB) or the application throught my web browser there are some errors in the apache error_log file that crash the process:
    [Wed Jul 25 13:19:23 2007] [notice] child pid 25450 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)
    [Wed Jul 25 13:19:31 2007] [notice] child pid 25451 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)

    [Fri Jul 27 04:39:56 2007] [notice] child pid 20550 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)
    After some investigations it looks like this is due to the connection of Oracle 10G and php.
    I tried to recompile Apache as the following:
    # cd /usr/src/apache_1.3.xx
    # make clean
    # LIBS=-lpthread ./config.status
    # make
    # make install
    but the issue is the same ...
    How can I workaround that issue and fix it in order to connect to Oracle 10 G by using PHP4.3 / apache 1.3.27 ?
    I need to use the oracle.so library to avoid to re-rewrite all my application ...
    Any help much very appreciated !
    Cheers
    Dominique

    You are in unchartered territory. But check the common "gotcha" and
    make sure that all the Oracle environment variables are set in the
    shell that starts Apache. Load the script <?php phpinfo(); ?> in a
    browser and see that whatever variables you need are set in the
    Environment section. See the section "Oracle Environment Variables
    for Connections" in Underground PHP and Oracle Manual
    I suspect it would be beneficial to migrate the PHP code to oci8.
    Check table 16-1 in Underground PHP and Oracle Manual for the mapping
    between 'oracle' and 'oci8' functions.

  • Problems with Oracle, Apache, mod_ssl and firewalls - hang

    Hi,
    We have an Apache server as supplied by Oracle (1.3.19), serving both
    static html and mod_plsql pages.
    When the system is accessed via SSL and the Internet, it will tend to hang
    after a relatively short time - especially if two people access at the same
    time. This is seen at the browser as a page that simply fails to arrive,
    there is no standard 'Page could not be found' type message.
    A network sniffer seems to show that there is some continuing network
    traffic, but the Apache error_log does not show activity.
    If the system is accessed without SSL but still via the Internet then there
    appears to be no problems and the system runs a lot faster than SSL +
    Internet.
    If the system is accessed with SSL but internally so avoiding the Internet
    then there also appears to be no problems and the system runs faster than
    SSL + Internet.
    Our servers are running NT4 SP6.
    Our firewall is Checkpoint NG running on Solaris (although we also
    swapped in a Nokia firewall running Checkpoint 4.1 which had the same
    results).
    Any thoughts on what might be occurring, what we should be looking at
    next?

  • Can't locate Geo/Gpx.pm in @INC apache

    Though there are many queries flowing around asking the same question. But here the error is thrown by apache instead of Perl. I am trying to create an XML Response for the client on Mac OS X Mavericks and have written the perl script as follows:
    #!/usr/bin/perl -wT
    use lib '/opt/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.16.1/Geo';

    my $gpx = Geo::Gpx->new;
    my $cgi = CGI->new;
    print $cgi->header(-type=>"text/gpx",-status=>"200 OK");

    print FILE $xml;

    For the apache to find the actual path of the Gpx.pm, I have used 'use lib' to show it the real path of the file. Although this script is working perfectly on command line, my apache server is throwing the following error:

    I have used macports and have found searching through the Web that Mavericks has got perl 5.16 preinstalled. So apache may be using that and perl is using the macport installed libraries. On checking the paths mentioned by apache error_log file as I posted above, I have copied Gpx.pm in one of the libraries installed in Geo Folder but still not getting it resolved. On running 'which perl' The result
    /opt/local/bin/perl
    And 'which cpan' is giving
    /opt/local/bin/cpan
    Kindly fix this issue as I am not able to move forward because of this. And I am not so familiar with apache.
    Thanks

    Kurt--
    You can use CPAN from the Terminal:
    <pre class="command">sudo perl -MCPAN -e shell</pre>Then, once you set up CPAN, just run:
    <pre class="command">install Bundle::LWP</pre>at the CPAN shell prompt. If you've already set up CPAN, you could try:
    <pre class="command">perl -MCPAN -e 'install Bundle::LWP'</pre>though I've never done it that way.
    For what it's worth, I've had trouble with CPAN not working until I install LWP, so I just go to the CPAN web site and download it from its page. Unpack it, move to its main directory, and then use:
    <pre class="command">make
    make test
    sudo make install</pre>just like any other Perl module.

  • Where can I find Apache modplsql error logs?

    Hi all,
    We are currently getting HTTP 404 when running a dynamic page. Therefore, $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/error_log* files cannot log any error, but access_log registers the page access and http 404 status code.
    I've sucessfully changed PlsqlErrorStyle on Portal DAD, but I'm still getting HTTP 404 on browser.
    How can I obtain detailed information about HTTP 404? May I searching on a wrong place?
    Thanks in advance,
    Alisson

    Hello there, for all the warnings, there are corresponding errors. For example, the 10800 warning is a timeout warning; and -10800 is a timeout error. So the table of error codes you found in the NIDAQ reference manual provides explaination for the warnings as well. I agree that this is not clearly documented. I will go ahead and give this feedback to documenation group. Thanks.

  • Debug with Apache

    Hi,
    Does anyone know how to debug JSP pages through Apache?? Is
    there such a log file??
    I am having trouble with IFS, and I can't figure out how to
    output the values in my javabeans. (System.out seems to go
    nowhere)
    Thanks very much.
    Francois.

    If you use System.err you will find your output in the Apache error_log file.
    Hope this helps,

  • Page cannot be displayed after login to applications

    Hi,
    On trying to login to self services, the browser returns "Page cannot be displayed". I checked the apache error_log and it says
    File does not exist: /ins01_app01/EUROPA/europacomn/portal/EUROPA_camvmowt2/favicon.ico
    [Thu Sep 17 03:42:35 2009] [notice] caught SIGTERM, shutting down
    I bounced apache, but did not help.
    I ran autoconfig and it was successful.
    I tried to open aoljtest.jsp page "http://...../OA_HTML/jsp/fnd/aoljtest.jsp" and it renders correctly.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Moni

    Hi,
    What is the application release?
    Was this working before? If yes, what changes have been done recently?
    Please verify that no errors can be found in the database log file.
    If the document referenced above did not help, I would suggest you enable debug to collect more details about the error -- See (249669.1 - How To Collect Apache and Jserv Debugging Details For Applications 11i) for details.

    Hi -
    I was wondering if you solved this problem. I had the exact same issue on Win2K after I installed the Java Portlet Development Kit. Now my Apache JServ does not work.
    This is a sample of my error_log:
    [Fri Jun 07 10:48:01 2002] [notice] FastCGI: process manager initialized
    [Fri Jun 07 10:48:08 2002] [error] OPM:Can not find one alive process
    [Fri Jun 07 10:48:08 2002] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] File does not exist: /servlet/IsItWorking
    [Fri Jun 07 10:51:22 2002] [warn] OPM: ADM: Process 380 terminated using SIGTERM successfully
    I have re-checked my jserv.properties, jserv.conf, zone.properties several times and I can't see the problem. I tried to manually remove the entire PDK and go back to my original state (I saved a copy of all my config files) but it still doesn't work.
    Did you find a way to fix this?
    Thanks!!!
    Heather

  • Steps to change Logon URL in R12 Oracle EBS

    Hello there-
    Can anyone send me the steps or Doc ID to change the external URL in R12. We have 2 instances on a single Box. I need to differentiate the instance by their URL.
    Hostname being: development.abc.com
    example:
    Instance 1 should be : dev.abc.com
    Instance should be : vision.abc.com
    Appreciate reposonse!
    Thanks,
    Champak

    Folks,
    Oracle got back to me do these steps, since I have a business constraint. I am not proceeding with the steps. I will do it later and update the forum. However if you guys do it. let me know how it goes.
    Thanks,
    Champak
    Steps:
    Please follow the below steps,
    Section 3: Change an existing 11i install to now use a Virtual Host Name:
    1)On the database tier copy the existing Autoconfig context file under the $ORACLE_HOME/appsutil directory from <SID>_<Physical Name>.xml to <SID>_<Virtual Name>.xml. Edit all hostname values in the new context file from the <Physical Name> to <Virtual Name>.
    2)Edit AutoConfig script ORACLE_HOME/scripts/<CONTEXT_NAME>/adautocfg.sh. <CONTEXT_NAME> is in the format of <SID>_<Physical Name>.xml still. Change the line for variable CTX_FILE to point to the new context file you created in Step 1.
    Example change line:
    CTX_FILE="/u01/ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/VIS9_prdphys1.xml”
    To:
    CTX_FILE="/u01/ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/VIS9_dbvirt1.xml”
    3)Run AutoConfig script ORACLE_HOME/scripts/<CONTEXT_NAME>/adautocfg.sh. This will create a new environment file and new <CONTEXT_NAME> directories that will use the <Virtual Name>. Source the newly created environment file.
    (See Note 165195.1 for more information on Autoconfig).
    Note: The directories and files that reference the physical name of the server can be removed at this point.
    4)Apply Patch 2670791 to all 11i Applications Tiers. Patch 2670791 is included in FND.H and higher. FND.H is included within base 11.5.10 or higher.
    5)On each Application Tier copy the existing Autoconfig context file from
    $APPL_TOP/admin/<SID>_<Physical Name>.xml to
    $APPL_TOP/admin/<SID >_<Virtual Name>.xml. Change all hostname values in the new context file from the <Physical Name> to <Virtual Name> except for Concurrent Processing Host s_cphost.
    6)Alter file $OAD_TOP/admin/scripts/<CONTEXT_NAME>/adautocfg.sh. Again the <CONTEXT_NAME> is in the format of <SID>_<Physical Name>.xml still. Change the line for variable CTX_FILE to point to the new context file you created in Step 1.
    Example change line:
    CTX_FILE=”/u01/appltop/admin/VIS9_appphys1.xml"
    To:
    CTX_FILE=”/u01/appltop/admin/VIS9_appvirt1.xml"
    7)Run AutoConfig script OAD_TOP/admin/scripts/<CONTEXT_NAME>/adautocfg.sh. (See Note 165195.1 for more information on Autoconfig). This will create new environment files and new <CONTEXT_NAME> directories that will use the <Virtual Name>. Source the newly created environment file APPS<SID>_<Virtual Name>.env.
    8)To avoid confusion you may delete all directories and files on each server that have the <CONTEXT_NAME> that references the <Physical Name>. Keep a copy of the original context files you copied in Steps 1 and 5 in case they are needed in the future. The new <CONTEXT_NAME> is in the form of <SID>_<Virtual Name> and those are the only directories and files that should be used from this point on.
    Note: On the Web Server tier if the network file nsswitch.conf has the line ‘hosts: files …’ with files being the first entry after the hosts: entry s_hostname has to match the entry within the /etc/hosts file. If the Local Host Name s_hostname is set to 'appvirt1' then the entry for this server in the network file /etc/hosts has to start with: ‘<IP Address> appvirt1.<domain>’. Otherwise an OPM error will occur and be reported in the Apache error_log file.
    Example format for /etc/hosts file entry on Application Tier:
    127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
    <IP> <Physical Name.domain> <Virtual Name.domain> <Virtual Name> <Physical Name>
    Example /etc/hosts file entry on Application Tier::
    127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
    160.160.160.2 appvirt1.us.oracle.com appphys1.us.oracle.com appphys1 appvirt1
    9)Bring up the application services.
