11i APS certification on RHEL 64 bit

Hello,
I am trying to find certification information for 11i Advanced Supply chain Planning on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 64 bit platform.
We are planning to do a platform migration from Solaris to RHEL.
The current installation of 11i APS is on Solaris 64 bit platform. Database is also on 11gR2(11.2.0.3) Solaris 64 bit.
We want to understand if 11i APS is certified on RHEL 64 bit in order to take up the platform migration exercise.
Please advise.
Thanks,
Ganesh

Thanks much! Ark, i could proceed..
by using command
unset DISPLAYand started the installation using below command:
java -d64 -Xmx1024m -jar wls1211_generic.jarextracted 100% successfully and continued to installation, but now i am stuck at the place where its asking for
Register for security updates:
i gave Proxy Server: "localhost" , port: "80" ,username: "spotnuru", password : <gave my password>
now when i say Next and press enter, it says The connection cannot be established to "localhost:80"
i am new to installation, any help is appreciated..

Currently, 11gR2 is certified with version 11i of Apps only on the Linux platform - pl see http://blogs.oracle.com/stevenChan/2009/10/db11gr2_certified_ebs11i.html. • Certification with RHEL 4

Any news on the certification of RHEL 4 on X86/AMD64?
I have seen the press release announcing it but when will it be officially supported? Broad timelines would be useful ...

We're also waiting for that big announcement to become a reality. Most needed is AS 9.0.4.
    From press release
"Oracle infrastructure and enterprise application products, including Oracle Database, Oracle Application Server, Oracle Collaboration Suite and Oracle E-Business Suite have been certified to run on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4"
    http://www.oracle.com/corporate/press/2005_feb/02.15.05_redhatcert_final_site.html
As far as I know only Database 9.2 live up to that. What a shame.

I'm having problems installing Oracle 11i on Red Hat Linux 64. I understand that it is not supported, however I need to go through the exercise of implementing OATM and then upgrade to 12.

If you mention oracle database 11g than check below
What is exact linux version. Oracle 11gr2 certified wiht linux64. Please check:

  • EBS 11i Adaptor certification with 9iAS/ 10g AS Interconnect and FMW 11g

I'm trying to get three compatibility questions answered regarding the 9iAS / 10g Interconnect product to assist with upgrade planning:
    1. Is the EBS 11i Adaptor with 9iAS Interconnect certified when the underyling EBS database is Oracle 10g? (the certification page is not specific in this regards, it doesn't mention the underlying database release)
    2. Is the EBS 11i Adaptor with 10gAS Interconnect certified when the underyling EBS database is Oracle 10g?
    3. Does the EBS 11i adaptor for Fusion Middleware 11g work against an Oracle EBS 11i that is running on a 10g database?
    Thanks.

    Hi Pritesh,
    With Pleasure brother
Is the  oracle application server 10g is required to install in my case.
No, You don't need to worry about this, as you are not working with Portal.
    But just to clarify:
When you upgrade from 11i to R12 application, then 10g Application Server will be automatically configured as R12 Application uses 10g Application Server by default.

Sorry it took me a little while to respond on this issue, but you should now be able to submit the required courses form to complete your certification.
Reference: Candidate had completed all the requirements for one of the 11i certifications some time ago. However, he never submitted the course form. He would like to submit the course form now and receive his certification. However, there is not an 11i course form in the HOC tool.

  • 11i: Can you clone from 64-bit to 32-bit?

Wanting to go from x86-64 to x86. Anyone have a Metalink note reference for doing this? I see the clone note says you can clone from 32-bit to 64-bit, but no mention of 64-bit to 32-bit.
If can't clone, would a migration be the plan instead?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Please mention the application release, the database version and the OS.
Wanting to go from x86-64 to x86. Any specific reason?
Anyone have a Metalink note reference for doing this? I see the clone note says you can clone from 32-bit to 64-bit, but no mention of 64-bit to 32-bit.I do not think Rapid Clone support cloning from 64-bit to 32-bit -- Log a SR to confirm this with Oracle support.

  • Apps 11i in rhel 5 64 bit

    Hi,
From metalink, certifications i came to know 11i is not certified with RHEL5 64 bit.
We want to clone our 11i instance to a new 64 bit server and then perform a test upgrade to R12.
RHEL5 64 bit is certified with R12 but not certified with 11i. What we can do in this case?
    Thanks,
    Kavitha

If just for the purpose of cloning and starting the database for an upgrade to R12, you can execute linux32 bash as your database owner and applications owner xterm sessions to start a 32-bit shell. In that shell, the system will think it is running on a 32-bit machine. You must ensure you have all of the 32-bit packages installed and copy the libdb.so.2 file to /usr/lib from patch 6078836.

  • 11i Split Configuration Certification Question

I have reviewed document 343917.1 and looked at the certifications, but I am a little confused on the split configuration certification options for 11i. We currently have 2 servers with our 11.5.10.2 environment. The db server has both the db and the admin and conc mgr. The app server has the web and forms. We are currently on a solaris sparc 32 bit for all tiers. We want to move to Linux. Assuming the app tier would be 32 bit RHEL, could we have the db tier on 64bit RHEL even though the conc mgr is on that tier? We are not planning on upgrading to 12 for at least a year and possibly longer."
    Thanks in Advance

could we have the db tier on 64bit RHEL even though the conc mgr is on that tier? applications tier node Oracle Apps 11i is not certified with 64-bit Operating system.

  • RHEL 6 for EBS 11i (11.5.10.2)

    Hi hussein,
I posted a thread in here before about our company buying or upgrading to a newer server which is of higher-end and with bigger CPUs and Memories.
We are currently running EBS 11i (11.5.10.2) on the current server which is about 6 years old. This is single node only and running RHEL 4.6.
Now, due to performance degradation, we are buying newer machines which will be a two-node configuration. The machine vendor said that the O.S. that it runs on will be RHEL 6.
My question is....Is RHEL 6 supported in EBS 11i? Can I clone the existing PROD EBS 11i which is on RHEL 4.6 to
the new target servers running on RHEL 6?
    Thanks a lot,
    Ms Inday

My question is....Is RHEL 6 supported in EBS 11i? No, you either need to install RHEL4 or RHEL5.
Can I clone the existing PROD EBS 11i which is on RHEL 4.6 to
