-1202 error in iTunes with Purchased

I'm on a Macbook Pro 15" runnning thae latest OS, patches, and Itunes.  Whenever I'm in Itunes and I click on Purchased I get the following;
I have fully removed (no kidding) Itunes and reinstalled but still have this problem.  While I imagine I may not be the only one or even the first, I haven't found a reference to it.
Thanks, Kevin

  • 1202 Error- Can't Get Purchases

I recently built a new desktop and after several days of "testing" it with games i decided that i needed to put my itunes library on it since i was never going to use my old laptop ever again. I promptly downloaded thelatest itunes and signed into my account. But as I have come to realize any time you try to do anything, something goes wrong. I tried to open my purchases as this has worked in the past when I accidently deleted my entire library, and got an error message. The message told me it was error code 1202, so after several hours of scavenging the internet, i still have no idea what to do. As I have been an Itunes custemer for several years now, I was naturaly ****** off. Even as i write this I am still in an all caps rage so any help that can be offered would be much appreciated.  Thanks
By the way, I know my clock is right so don't even try suggesting that.

I have a similar or same problem.  Restarting didn't work, the date/time settings are correct and clicking the redeem link at the bottom didn't work either.  Any suggestions?

  • When I am trying to download an iTunes song, it is saying there is an error in iTunes with the number45054

When I am trying to purchase a song, it is saying there is an error in the iTunes store with the number45054.  I also have $15 to redeem from an iTunes card.  It shows on my account by my name, but when I try to purchase a song, it will not give me the option to access that.  It just takes me to paypal/credit card.  Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

This is one of the rare occasions when you should run Repair Permissions (not Repair Disk) in Disk Utility. Ignore the many false warnings that it produces. If there's no change, follow the instructions in this support article.

  • Error Opening iTunes with new install

I just reinstalled iTunes onto my father's Dell laptop running Windows XP SP2. I recieve the following error message when trying to run iTunes for the first time: "The folder 'iTunes' cannot be found or created, and is required. The default location for this folder is inside the 'My Music' folder."
Any help would be greatly appreciated as i cannot run iTunes on this PC.

Try holding down the shift key as you start itunes, and create a new library when given the chance.

  • With purchased music videos they will not play, an error comes up"The requested URP was not fopund on thsi server", and video doesn't play?

I ahve purchased 5 music vidoes from iTunes and they will not play on my iPhone4. The error message that appears is:
"The requested URL was not fopund on this server"
I am not sure how to fix this so I can watch my videos?

It all depends on exactly how you move the library from one machine to the other. The database holding information about your library is normally in a folder called iTunes, with the media in a subfolder called iTunes Media. In this layout you can usually copy the entire iTunes folder from one machine to the other and it will work. If the media folder is split to a new location however then often the links to tracks will fail on a new computer.
You shoud find that the FindTracks script is able to repair the links in your library.
I'm not sure I know what is going on with the purchased music, however if you enable Edit > Preferences > Store > Automatic Downloads > Music you should be able to recover your past store purchases.

When I try to sign in to my account on iTunes, I get the above error message, along with"Please review your account information".

Can anyone tell me why this has happened and how to resolve it?
    Please, please, please help.

Count me in as having the same problem. I have been leaving messages in the iTunes for Mac forum where others in there also are having problems. I have been unable to access my account since 11/7/2007. E-mails with Apple have not worked and now I haven't heard back from them since Saturday. I have tried both on a Mac and Windows machine and keep receiving the same error message that:
This Apple ID has not yet been used with iTunes.
I last purchased music with this account on 10/30/2007. I even tried resetting my password, changing my account info, trying on a computer with iTunes 7.4, etc. I have money in that account and 150 songs and 5-6 tv shows that I cannot access. I also just purchased a new computer and cannot sync my iPod with this computer since these songs will not transfer.
Apple really needs a phone number for technical support. Having to deal with e-mails back and forth (and waiting a day for each e-mail) is not a good business practice. Hopefully they will have a phone number in the future.
Either way, count me in on getting annoyed that a week later, this issue has not been fixed.

  • Problems with 'Purchased' Music showing up as 'Error' in Match

I'm mystified by one aspect of iTunes Match behaviour.  I have a large collection of U2 songs, some of which I had ripped from CD and some of which, latterly, I bought through iTunes.  As you can see, most of the songs I have were found and matched by iTunes without a problem.
What I don't understand is why I am seeing Error against the songs from 'No Line On the Horizon' and 'Zooropa' when these were purchased from iTunes.  They are definitely in my Library because I can manually locate them.
Additionally, I don't understand why for two of the songs, Zooropa and Lemon, it wants me to download them again as 'Purchased'.  Why those two and not the others with Errors against their name?  I bought the No Line and Zooropa tracks from Apple to begin with.
Thirdly, it appears from the iTunes list above that I have two copies of Zooropa when in fact I only have one.  I can easily find the files in Finder as you can see from the screen shot below.
I don't really want to have to re-download all the songs that iTunes can't find as this will mean I just have duplicates. Equally, I don't want to have to re-attach or re-import Error songs that I know are on my HD and which have somehow been dropped by the iTunes Match process.
And I get terribly confused in this process of syncing and matching if I try to delete some of these duplicate entries, because frankly if I delete something and it's removed from iCloud and all my devices, I'm no longer quite sure what I'm removing and where from.
I have backup but should it be this difficult?

    It can become confusing.
An easy route to resolve would be simply to copy your U2 Songs to a standalone folder (outside iTunes).  Delete the Song files from iTunes (including the option to remove from the iCloud).  Once complete, turn iTunes Match off, go to the iTunes Store 'purchased' area and access all your U2 purchases.  From the U2 folder import any further U2 songs that were not purchased from iTunes.
Now sign-out of iTunes Store, restart computer from cold, start iTunes, sign-in to iTunes Store, start iTunes Match and allow is to complete the 3-step process.
At this point iTunes will correctly recognise all your purchased Songs and for the remainder will have successfully 'matched' or 'uploaded'.
This should leave your library in a stable working condition, with iTunes Match enabled and all U2 Songs.

  • I have bought a 25Euro Itunes Card from Germany and i have a account which i made in Hong kong store, but everytime i try to redeem it a error comes up with "This code must be redeemed in the German storefront" What do i do?

I have bought a 25Euro Itunes Card from Germany and i have a account which i made in Hong kong store, but everytime i try to redeem it, a error comes up with "This code must be redeemed in the German storefront" What do i do?

Sell the German iTunes card to someone who can use it in the German
AppStore and use the money to buy a card for the Hong Kong store.
iTunes cards are only valid in the country of original purchase. You cannot
use a German card in Hong Kong.

  • I am trying to download purchased music onto my iPad but it says error every time, with every song. Why is this?

I previously purchased songs from my iPhone but I now can't download it to my iPad mini. It keeps coming up with a message say error please retry

    Hi Baldwin13,
Sorry to hear you are having issues downloading songs you have purchased to your iPad mini.
One thing I would suggest is to transfer your purchased content from the iPhone to your computer.  Then you can re-sync your iPad Mini to your iTunes Library on the computer.
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
If you want to transfer iTunes Store purchases from an iOS device or iPod to a computer, be sure to authorize the computer before connecting the device. After connecting your device to the computer and its icon appears in iTunes, go to the File menu, then Devices, and choose Transfer Purchases from "(Your device name)".
Or, you can Show Sidebar from the View menu, and then right-click (Windows or Mac) or Control-click (Mac only) your device in the iTunes Source list, then choose Transfer Purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
Please note that this feature works only for items that were purchased on the iTunes Store. Any items imported from audio CDs or acquired from other sources will not copy from your device to the iTunes library. Please see this article for more details.
Next, I would Reset the iPad Mini:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    Then follow the instructions below:
Can't connect to the iTunes Store
Troubleshooting on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking on Check for Update in your device's Summary page in iTunes.
Check and verify that you are in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you are on a 3G capable device, make sure that cellular data is turned on fromSettings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to 3G, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Check to make sure you have an active internet connection. You can check the User Guide for your device for help with connecting to the internet.
Check to make sure other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router
If the issue still persists see, iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections or iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections.
Note: All iPhone, and iPod touch models support 802.11b/g Wi-Fi networks. In addition, iPhone 4, and iPod touch (4th generation) support 802.11n Wi-Fi networks (2.4 GHz only).
Hopefully, these steps will resolve your issue.
    Have a great day!
    - Judy

  • I have a -1202 error when attempting to connect to itunes windows xp is up to date

I have a -1202 error and can not get onto an itunes account

OK, I see what happened. I had the 10.2 client installed with the connections configured via the tnsnames file. When I then installed the DB (with it's own tnsnames file), SQLDeveloper starting pointing to that instance of the file, with none of my tns connection entries. So, I copied the tnsnames file from the client directory to the database directory, re-created my connections, and everything was fine.
