1242G connecting to 3x1242G's bridging

Hello
I want to know if it is possible to connect 3 x 1242G's (non-bridge) to one 1242G (bridge)? The Root-Bridge (Main AP, connected to our LAN with the router) has an omni-directional antenna, the 3 other 1242G's will connect to this one with directional antenna's. There will be no clients clients connecting to any AP's, these are purely used to extend our network because cabling is not an option.
I have tried this setup in the lab and can not get the AP's talking, even with no security and only using the SSID.
Reading on the site I have noted that the "point to multi-point" configurations always refer to the 1242AG AP's and not the 1242G AP's.
Your confirmation and guidance, either way, will be greatly appreciated.

I know it refers to the 1242AG, but it's using the G radio for the bridge, so it doesn't really matter.

AXI slave connection of PCIe AXI bridge IP

I'm creating a system with IPI which have Microblaze, DDR3 and PCIe interface.
When connecting the AXI PCIe bridge block, I got some problem.
Currently, I can access DDR3 through PCIe.
The path is Host PC ==> PCIe ==> AXI PCIe bridge ==> AXI interconnect ==> DDR3.
Now, I want to send data from Microblaze to Host PC as well, but don't know how to do it.
Tthe path I think should be : MicroBlaze ==> AXI interconnect ==> AXI PCIe bridge ==> PCIe ==> Host PC.
How should I connect the S_AXI_CTL and S_AXI port on AXI PCIe bridge?
Should S_AXI_CTL be connected? Is it also connected to M_AXI port of AXI interconnect?

This setup looks a bit dangerous because you are mapping PCIe->AXI to address 0x00000000 which will inturn get decoded and go back out to PCIe land.
The M_AXI port from pcie probably only needs access to mig and maybe uart. The microblaze Data port address space looks correct. Any access from microblaze to address 0x00000000 will get decoded by the interconnect and passed to the S_AXI port on the pcie bridge. Then, the pcie bridge translates the axi address 0x00000000 to the PCIe address 0xFF000000.
I'm not a PCIe guru but I believe the software on the host will need to configure its pcie bridge in order to allow access to motherboard resources from the development board. On a linux host, the pcie driver would be responsible to map host memory or motherboard resources to be accessable from the development board.

How to connect a Linksys WES610N Bridge to an Airport Express network

I'm surprised I haven't been able to find an answer to this question anywhere online. I haven't even found anyone asking this question!???
I'm trying to connect a Cisco Linksys WES610N Entertainment Bridge to my Airport Express wireless network. This will allow me to plug my blu-ray player into the bridge and go online for Netflix. (My TV does not have an online option, unfortunately.)
The setup instructions indicate to press the Wi-Fi Protected Setup button on my router before pressing the same on the bridge. Of course, Airport Express (assuming that's my router) does not have such a button. I tried turning off security to my network using Airport Utility and trying to connect that way, without success.
Some help documents from Cisco suggest connecting both the bridge and my computer to a router using ethernet cables and accessing setup through a web-based interface, but again, Airport Express has only one ethernet port, so that's not an option.
Cisco has very little Mac support :-(

Okay, so to answer my own question after considerable sleuthing . . . for anyone else trying to do this:
Connect your computer to the bridge using an ethernet cable, then open a browser and enter the following address: http://169.254.1.250
This will take you to a login page: leave the username field blank, enter "admin" in the password.
You will see the Cisco setup page. I selected manual setup and entered the name of my network and password. I got a progress bar and finally the wireless network light on the bridge started flickering.

Port forwarding but can only connect to wifi in Bridge Mode

Our ISP is TalkTalk and we use their Fibre service which connects through a BT Open Reach Modem. The TalkTalk router seemed to causing drop outs in wifi on my macbook pro so I bought an Airport Time Capsule for the wifi router and to back up my mac.
We aren't issued with PPPoE details and the advice from the TalkTalk community was to connect with the Router in Bridge Mode. This has worked a treat with the various Apple and non Apple items we have in out house except one.
We have security cameras which we control through a Windows laptop and can view one out phones. To make this happen we have to set up port forwarding. However, we can't do this as it's in Bridge Mode (as far as I understand).
I'm afraid my knowledge of these things is very basic so I'm hoping that someone will have an easy answer to this. Anyone got any advice on how I can make this pretty white box do its stuff please?

"No Internet Connection" via AirPort Extreme bridged to Time Capsule

Hello,
We have a fairly large and odd home network consisting of a Comcast cable modem connected to a Netgear router, a Time Capsule wired to that one floor down (serving up WiFi and DHCP), and a new AirPort Extreme wired one floor below that, extending the WiFi network of the Time Capsule and set to bridge mode.
On one MacBook Pro (and possibly others, haven't had them available to test yet), trying to connect to WiFi while downstairs (i.e. to the AirPort Extreme) yields a strong wireless connection, but "no Internet connection"; checking via network diagnostics or the Network panel reveals that the MacBook Pro has no IP address. This seems odd, as it happens even if the connection is first made on the 2nd floor to the Time Capsule, where a valid IP is retrieved, and then carried downstairs; even though the same IP address should be valid, the laptop's WiFi menubar icon starts cycling again and eventually shows the "!" and reports no Internet connection. Checking the Network panel reveals no IP address via DHCP. However, if I let it sit for a minute or two, the IP address comes back (the same one!) and all is well, at least for a while.
I've tried switching to a manually-assigned static IP as a workaround, and that works perfectly well, but I'd like to get DHCP working properly if I can, for convenience's sake. Is there any reason why I should be having trouble with getting DHCP from the Time Capsule via the AirPort Extreme?

Actually, yeah, my predecessor explained that he was running DHCP on the Time Capsule instead of the Netgear because he hadn't needed DHCP prior to the adding of a WiFi point (all other nodes were on Ethernet), so it had always been turned off on the Netgear. But your suggestion makes a lot more sense, of course, so I've put the Time Capsule into bridge mode as well and started the DHCP server on the Netgear. Seems to be working with my iPhone, though that was always working okay. I won't have access to the laptop to test it until later this afternoon, but I have high hopes.

Can't 'Scan to Email' on USB connected printer to AE (Bridge mode)

Can't 'Scan to Email' on USB connected printer to 2nd AE (in Bridge mode extending wireless network).
Prints fine though.
Printer is set to static IP adress (192.168.0.50).
Upstream Router is: 192.168.0.1 (this is connected to first AE).
When the printer was previously attached (by ethernet cable) to 1st AE, everything was working fine and I could login to printer Admin page via Safari by tying IP Address.

Only the print function is supported when a multi-function device is connected to the USB port on an AirPort router.
Advanced features like scan, copy, maintenance, etc are not supported at the USB port.

How connect TC to a bridged router?

For the last 9 months, my TC has been connect to the Time Warner Cable issued modem/router. I had two networks, and not that good wireless strength, but the internet worked. So, today I decided to mess with it, and I called TWC and had them change their router to bridged mode. Ever since then, I have not been able to connect to the internet through the TC. I can connect directly to the modem, and everything works fine, but the airport utility shows no internet connection. What am I do wrong?

The TC has to be in router mode.. and you need to shut off the modem.. and the only device connected to the modem is the TC.. wan port.
The first device to connect is allocated the public ip and so you must have the TC capture the IP.
Do a full factory reset and start over.. that will put the TC back to correct router mode.

Connect and 4200 in bridge mode

Can connect be used when the router is in bridge mode with FIOS router as the main router? Seems when I try to install it can't find the 4200. Thx!

Let me know that FIOS router is working as a modem in bridged mode? What is the IP address through FIOS router? Is FIOS router connected to the Internet port or Ethernet port on E4200 router?
Connect the FIOS router to the Internet port of E4200 router. Connect the computer to Ethernet port 1 on the router. Press and hold the reset button on the router for 30 seconds. Release the reset button and wait for 10 seconds. Power cycle the router and try to run the Cisco connect on your computer.
Once the Cisco connect software is installed successfully, you will be able to go online.

USB Printer connected to EA3500 in Bridge Mode

Hi;
I just put an EA3500 in bridge mode to extend my Verrizon Fios network. In this mode the smart wi-fi interface does not work and you access the unit directly by IP address.
Does anyone know if you can attach a Printer directly to the USB port on the EA3500 when it is in Bridge Mode? I read that this will work when the unit is in infrastructure mode.

Thank you for you help! I did test this config and I attached a printer to the EA3550 USB port. The interface to the EA3500 via IP address does not show what is connected. My main Verizon router does however. I have 3 connections that could be the printer, however I an not sure if any are the USB attached printer.
Here are the variations I tried:
1) Connect printer to EA3500, power on printer
2) Unpug EA3500, connect printer, power EA3500, power printer
I cannot reach the printer using USB. I presume this feature does not work in Bridge Mode.
Given the price of a new print servers, plus the upcoming Drum replacement, I have deciced to order a new multi function BW laser with built in WIFI and Apple Airprint. I work from home so I need a printer in my office. I have a brother 8710 Multi Function that is great for the family for wireless printing & Scanning, so I ordered another for my office.
I have had Brother products for years and find them to be high quality, reliable and easier to use that HP or other brands.

Lost connection to photoshop in bridge

I have had full cc for a year...
installed all the 2014 aps...
erased the original aps....
when I click on a jpeg or nef in Bridge, it opens it in Picas...
Picasa was installed after my 2014 installations and the removal of my old cc files...
There is no choice in Bridge to send to photo shop????

Went inside Bridge options and changed back file associations to Photoshop...

Hub 3 connected to Airport wireless bridge

Having severe problems with a Draytek 2850 all of a sudden, so looking at a quick and dirty fix.
Scenario:
Router --> Apple Airport extreme #1 <----> Apple Airport extreme 2 --> switch --> servers & PCs
The 2 Airports are running an 801.11n wireless bridge, all currently on a 10.0.x.x range, with SSID_1 being broadcast
Now, I know that normally you have to plug stuff in to the BT hub to enable port redirection and so on, but will this scenario work if I swap out the existing router for the BT business hub 3? That is, will the stuff on the other side of the bridge be detected?

If you work your way through the Printer Troubleshooting Guide and still can't find a solution, I'm afraid that your printer is not compatible with the AirPort Extreme.

Network Setup for a 1242G LWAPP config for with Bridge

I'm trying to find solution for mobile vehicle. The base wifi system is lwapp with controller and AP.
I was thinking to make bridge between LWAPP AP's and Autonomous AP on the mobile vehicle with client behind the AP, but now the vehicle will have 3 clients so I will have to put something behinds so I will have to put switch behind
does that solution seels good or does I need to choose wifi router ?
according to me keep an Autonomous AP was good idea.
is it possible to make the AP works with PEAP and other high level security like EAP-TLS and more ?

Matt this should be pretty simple to do. You said that your base wifi system is controller based with LWAPP AP's correct?
Assuming you already have PEAP in your current operation, all you would need to do is take your Autonomous AP and make it a WGB. From there you could plug in any switch that you wanted for you 3 clients. If you need help with configurations let me know and I will help you out.

No Longer Able to Connect to Interop Bridges

We have been in the past, but recently cannot connect to interop video bridges scheduled here -

I was able to successfully test this with my own Jabber account to a bridge within the @cisco.com domain. It's possible you are trying to connect while your VPN connection is up. Please disconnect VPN and try calling the bridge again. I believe Cisco Security made some changes that now prevent these calls from happening.

How can I get Bridge to connect with my Iphone 5s?

It worked fine with Iphone 4s, but even though the IPhone 5s is connected to my Mac, Bridge will not recognize it. Also, I cannot update to 6.5 in Bridge either for some reason.

Connect your iPhone via the standard USB connector to your computer, open Bridge and if you have not set to open Photodownloader automatically use the command File / Get photo's from camera or use the tiny camera icon with arrow down at in the icon bar top left of bridge window.
This should open Adobe Photodownloader and it should auto select the images and movies but otherwise use the option to select the source. Also study the options available in Photodownloader and use the advance button to get some thumbs of the content on your phone.

WLS 8.1 SP5 Message bridge doesn't refresh connection after idle time out

Hi,
I am seeing in the log after enabling the debug flags that message bridge intermittently stops refreshing the connection without logging further info and causing a production failure.Bridge is forwarding the message from WLS 8.1..5 DQ to the remote MQ 6.0 queue.
Below is the snippet which doesn't come in the log which suggests that bridge stops refreshing the connection.
<BEA-200027> <Bridge "CASLDNSenderBridge" works in asynchronous mode and has not received messages for the predefined maximum idle time. The connections to the adapters will be interrupted and reestablished.>
The above message does appear everytime but intermittently it stops and the messages put after this leading to the exceptions.The bridge has been configured in asynchronous mode and the idle time out is configured as 60 secs.
Can somebody please let me know if there is any known issue with 8.1 SP5 where message bridge stops refreshing connection intermittently or how to debug this further.

I would normally suggest raising the issue with support, but I recall hearing that 8.1 is nearing the end of its support cycle, so I'm not sure that's an option for you. Other options:
- try upgrading to a newer SP, or better yet, a new version of WebLogic
- try changing to synchronous forwarding
- examine thread dumps from when the bridge appears to be stalled
- post the exception that bridge is throwing when it tries to connect
- try patching MQ (the problem could be on the MQ side, and perhaps an older version of the bridge may not be fully capable of handling all of MQs minor quirks)
- write a program to (A) detect inactivity on the src destination, and (B) somehow restart the bridge and/or all of WL when this occurs
