128 bit music problem

I just figured out that I turned this option on a while ago and that is why I could no longer synch photos to my iPhone 4, Apple tv or iPad. I turned it off and photos are synching again!!
Just reported it to Feedback.
So you can squeeze more music on but you give up photos.........

Bonita,
There is a special 128 bit service pack for the 128 bit version of WLS 5.1.
Please contact support to get the 128 bit service pack. Whomever helps
you will need to verify that your company is qualified to receive the 128 bit
version.

  • SSL, 128-bit encryption problem

    Hi
I need to establish a connection over SSL with 128-bit encryption from my
client application to Active Directory. But when a connection is established
I look at the System log and see the cipher strength is only 56.
Does anybody have an idea how can I raise the cipher strength?
    Thanks

    Sorry,
It was my fault. I used 56-bit SDK. After upgrade all is perfect.

  • Problems with IE and 128-bit encryption -- correction

Repost with corrected e-mail address -- sorry!
Hello. I'm having a problem with 128-bit SSL and Internet Explorer.
I'm using WebLogic 5.1 (128-bit build) and a Verisign certificate.
We're seeing some strange behavior with Internet Explorer. It seems to
work fine from some machines, but doesn't work from others. On the ones
that it doesn't work, it gives the "The page cannot be displayed"
message. I've tried this with IE 4.0.1 (with 128-bit patch) and IE 5.5
(128-bit by default) and have the same problems with both. We're seeing
this problem across various Windows operating systems, but aren't seeing
any pattern there. Any ideas as to what might be the problem?
    Thanks in advance,
    Steve

The Mozilla browsers which include Firefox has supported 256-bit even encryption for a long time now.
The issue could perhaps be the e-qip site is still looking for the old obsolete '''U''' in the useragent which was used to specify the encryption strength of 128-bit though 256-bit has been supported for a long while already at time by Mozilla applications. This "U" was removed in Firefox useragent as of 4.0 which was released March 22nd, 2011. The old 3.6.x was the last to have it.

  • WEP 128 bit 26 hex digit problem

Can't seem to use the passwords generated by the linksys router for WEP 128 bits 26 hex digits encryption. WEP 64 bits works. Why?
    Thanks

The $ before the password didn't work. Tried WEP password and 40/128 hex but 40/128 hex won't allow a $ before the password. I wish there was a place to just use the Passphrase on the Mac. Using a linksys router.

  • IPad WiFi password problem fixed by switching to 128-bit encryption

Upon waking, my iPad would often prompt me to re-enter my WiFi password, or simply say that it wasn't connected to the internet.
I was using an old D-Link Router with 64-bit WEP encryption. After talking to a senior support tech, I switched the WEP to 128-bit and it's been smooth sailing ever since.
This is still a bug, because if you're in some random hotel, you can't change the router settings. But this workaround may help until a patch is released.

  • Flash player not working on internet explorer 8 cipher strength 128-bit

    PLEASE HELP!
I'Mm using Windows XP and Internet Explorer 8 with cipher strength 128-bit and Flash player does not work properly, like when I want to watch a music video or listen to music on You Tube it plays then stops and plays and stops continuously I have installed the latest Flash Player but still have the same problem.
    Please please help anyone!

That sounds like you either have a very slow Internet connection, or the server at the other end (providing the video) is slow.
Try clearing your Internet cache; this helps sometimes.

  • ITunes and AIFF/FLAC support, 24-bit music, HDTracks etc

Ok guys I know this has probably been asked before, but I have done my research and most topics are pretty old so I will proceed to ask this again so that I can get answers as of today (January 2014).
First question is, does iTunes support 24-bit music? If so, in which of these formats (ALAC, FLAC, WAV, AIFF) ?
Second question, does iTunes support hi-res sample rates? If so, in which formats and how high?
    Please answer in this format:
    ALAC up to xxx Khz
    FLAC up to xxx Khz
    WAV up to xxx Khz
    AIFF up to xxx Khz
Please answer only if you are 100% certain of what Im talking about here and you have tried it as you answer. This post refers to iTunes as of today, version 11.1.4 (latest release as of January 2014).
    Thanks!

I ran into the same problem with my FLAC files. It's hard to compromise quality, especially for albums by Hans Zimmer, John Murphy, and Two Steps from ****, but tis life. If you're not interested in downloading some third party program to convert like I wasn't, there is this nifty little site that converts music for you for free. No ads, no tricky layouts, just simple upload, convert, and download the file when it's done. They offer a pretty limited selection of conversion options, but better than not at all.
    Formats: mp3, wav, wma, ogg
    Quality (kbit/s): 96, 128, 192, 320

    Hope that helps!

  • 128 bit encryption requirement not working

Using S1 6.0 sp5 on solaris 8, connecting to WAS 4.5 application servers.
The require 128 bit encryption setting is in obj.conf with an error page to serve if lower than 128 bit encryption is used.
This works fine for all plain text html requests, however, when a request goes to the websphere application the encryption requirement is ignored.
Has anyone seen anything of this nature before?

I'm not using SiteMinder or weblogic, my suggestion was based on your problem description. If you can show us your obj.conf file, we can check and try to find out a solution. You are right, AuthTrans will come before PathCheck but this should still allow PathCheck stage functions to be processed when the request processing goes through the pathcheck stage....I don't know how SiteMinder implements the SAF though.
    Thanks

  • WRT54GS V7 128 BIT ENCRYPTION

I just this morning bought a new wireless router, ran home and hooked it up.  I have had 3 other Lynksys (wired) routers in the past, do all my own work from mechanical to software and LAN.
The initial setup went fine with the first desktop PC, running Windows XP Pro.  A second desktop set up fine, also running XP Pro.  I figured all would go fine with the laptop running the same thing.  However, after numerous times trying to setup a laptop with no joy, I had to call tech support.
The tech and went through all the settings and verified my work, just to find all was right (I knew it was, I had checked it so many times).  The encryption setting was to 128 bit.  She had me reset that to 64 bit and all is now functioning perfectly.  I have not had much experience with encryption problems before.
    So my questions are:
    1. Is there a problem with the 128 bit encryption protocol in the router or in my laptop?
    2. Is this something to worry about?

    Answers to your question:
    1. there is no problem with your 128 bit protocol with the laptop nor the router. its just that 128 bit is a very long number and letters and it is case sensitive user might find a hard time trying to but it in next time. that is why 64 bit is oftenly used its for your own benefit. hehe
    2. and this is not something to worry about.

  • 128 bit incription

Dear all, I have an AE base station that is used to provide network access for a number of machines, most on AE cards, but one (G4 733mhz) has an original airport card. Until recently, I have had security set to 40 bit WEP, not wonderful I know, but I wasn't too concerned. However I recently allowed a PC to connect, and our local IT unit has suggested that, as PC's are more at risk, security should be at 128 bit. I set this up and I have had no end of problems with the G4. All of the other machines (with AE cards) have been fine. The G4 however either takes multiple trys to connect, or connects and then drops out. I first thought that the card might be failing, but having tried another one the same problems exist. I then thought curruption in keychain - but a untouched admin account seems to have the same issues. I have gone back to 40 bit and the problem appears to have gone. Has anyone seen these issues with original airport cards and 128 WEP?
    thanks for your help
    Andrew Platt

I've had mine set to channel 1 with a couple Airport cards and no problems. I know that I have seen references to the channel issue in other threads, but I can't recall which channels were recommended as either good or bad. Those threads might be gone by now, but someone knows the answer.

Dear all, I have posted this in the Airport Extreme forum as well, but it sort of fits into both, so sorry for repetition!

I have the same problem, I recently got an old G3 Blueberry iBook, and it works with no or 40 WEP, but i kick it up to 128, and it wont connect... I have seen Airport cards for sale that say "128" version.. I am wondering if the older cards can be up;graded through firmware of something, or maybe have to be using OS X (currently running OS 9)

  • 320 & 128 bit rate in iPhone.

I haven't found an option that lets you choose the bit rate you want to convert your music to in my iPhone. All my music is 320 bit rate or lossless... So it's going to take a chunk of space. I'm converting the music I want on my iPhone to a 128 bit rate and throwing that in a playlist to sync to my phone... which I really don't want to do because now I have the same albums twice and it's makes my library messy. Any quick fix or solutions?

I can't speak for iPods cause I never bought one. I've always been the kind of person who rather have one device (Moto Razr V3i w/ iTunes) then two devices (reg. phone and an iPod). My phone would covert the music to 128 bit rate to optimize space. It would make sense that apple would give us an option to convert the size of our music files to optimize space as well. This making duplicate albums in two different bit rates is a hassle! Unless you've gone into Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Importing... the music you rip on your computer is going to be a defult ACC 128 bit rate format. Which there is nothing wrong with. If you share music with friends and they don't have iTunes there's going to be an issue. So I changed my encoder to MP3 and also adjusted the audio quality. You tend to lose lower frequencies when music is ripped at a low bit rate.

  • Read double from file containing 128 Bit formatted C-Floats

    hi all,
    the Problem:
i need to read double values out of a binary file. the binary was
created by a program in c and contains 128 bit float values (16 byte).
in c i can read the floats with the following command:
    fscanf(fin,"%16.7f",&i);
but in java there is no function that can read this format. for me it
is not so important that the values are precise like in c. so if
i could convert or read such a value into a java double this would be
    precise enough. any idea?
    thanx,
    grissi

You read in the bytes and then create a double from them using binary operations.
If you search the forums you will find example code which you can modify to your purpose.
Try using this search string, or some variation.
    C double binary file

  • New iPad asks for WiFi password. There is none. My WiFi uses WEP 128 bit encryption, but there is no "password" to enter.

Brand new to the iPad. It's asking for a password to the WiFi network in my home. There is no "password" as such associated with this WiFi network. It uses WEP 128 bit encryption where each byte is a hexadecimal number and is called a "key" Typing this lengthy thing in gives me no results. The iPad keeps on asking for a password. I have three computers and a DVD hooked to the network which has been working for a decade, so that's not the issue.
Basically I'm stuck not being able to get onto the WiFi system.

Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
