12c SOA multiple composite deployment using maven
Hi,
I am facing issue with 12c SOA composite deployment using maven. I execute the below command for deploying any composite.
mvn pre-integration-test –f soa-pom.xml –Dcomposite.name=TestMVNProj –Dcomposite.version=1.1
Issues:
As seen above by using above command m able to deploy single composte. But i want to deploy multiple composite belongs to same application or Different something like below.
AIM- mvn pre-integration-test –f soa-pom.xml –Dcomposite.name=TestSOAProj1,Project2
Is there any way to achive this please guide me far same
In any senerio not only is soa composite.can any one guide me how to deploy multiple projects using maven scripts.
Thanks in Advance
Prabhat
Hi Markus,
I have tried it with profiling its works . thanks!!!! but some how still i was not able to achieve what i want.
But thanks for you kind references i have done it by using and maven cmd line switch -pl .Now i can exclude.include modules dynamically.
For example;-
<modules>
<module>Mvntest1</module>
<module>MvnDeploymentTest</module>
<module>MvnDeploymentTest2</module>
</modules>
I have multiple module in my parent pom.xml and if i want to deploy only top 2 of them.
# mvn pre-integration-test -pl +Mvntest1,+MvnDeploymentTest (This only support maven version 3.2.1 and above)
its working fine :-
Note:- when we using -pl if we want to include modules we can give module name with "+"sign and for exclude "- or !" we can give multiple module name separated with "," delimiters .
THANKS MARKUS!!!!!

SOA 12c Composite Build using Maven
Hi,
I'm trying to build SOA 12c Composites using Maven 3.
using command mvn install , so that i can build my composites and place jars in local maven repository. But it is doing the following things:
1. Compile 2. Build 3. Deploy to application server 4. Run Tests .
Which is not expected.
I Just wanted to build my composites and place the Jar's in Maven Repo.
Can anyone comment on this.
Thanks,
Chandra_You could try Edwins comment.
"You can use the normal soa deploy plugin, just zip the mds artifacts and deploy it just like a SOA Composite sar."
You need to create the zip first.

SOA 11g Composite Deployment across multiple Instances: Best Practice
Hi,
We have a requirement where we need to deploy the composite acrocss mutilple instances(DEV,TEST,Production) without JDEV.
We are using SOA11.1.3.3(cluster) and linux OS.
Pls suggest me what is the best practice to deploy the SOA composite.
Thanks,
ABWhy there are different ways to deploy the composite in different environment? Depending upon the environment, it's business importance increases and hence access to developers get more restricted and hence there are many ways for deploying. If you are developing an application, you would not like to export a SAR and then login to EM console to deploy it. For a developer it is always very convenient to use IDE itself for deployment and hence JDev is preferably used for Dev instances for deployment.
Once development finishes, developer will check in the artifacts into version control system and if you want to deploy to a test instance then you have to check out the stable version, compile it and package it and then only you can deploy. Hence for test instances, ANT is the preferable mode for deployment. (Remember that developers may not be able to connect to Test environment directly and hence deployment from JDev is not possible)
Once a configuration gets tested in Test env, it's SAR should be checked in into version control system, so that it would not be required to recompile and repackaging of it. This will also make sure that any artifact which is not tested on Test instance, must not go to higher instances (like UAT/PROD). Now in Pre-Prod/UAT/Prod, you may simply access the EM console and deploy the SAR which is already tested in Test instance. Remember that there will be very limited access to such critical environments and hence using Role based access of EM it would be very easy to deploy the resources. Moreover, it is more secure mode of deployment because only those users which have appropriate priviledge, will be able to deploy, and it would also be easier to track the changes.
What is the proc and cons if we use only one way to deploy the composite across the Instances...As such there is no major pros and cons. You may use EM for all environments but it may be a little discomfort for developers/deployers of test environment. You may also use ANT for all the environments but it is not suggested until and unless you have a very good and secure process in place for deployments.

Problem in Composite deployment using SAR file
Hello All
We are facing issues during deployment of composites to a clustered environment. We created a simple HelloWorld Composite and deployed it as a SAR file. The deployment and test was successful for this composite. The WSDL and XSD of HelloWorld project is accessible over the browser.
Next we created a new Composite ( client of HelloWorld project). This second composite is just invoking the HelloWorld service. We tried to deploy the second composite SAR, but the deployment fails. We found that if we have a local WSDL as well as local XSD(*need of have local copies of both*) of the HelloWorld project; the second composite gets deployed and it executes without any error at runtime. (i.e. the HelloWorld endpoint gets invoked successfully ).
But when the second composite refers to the HelloWorld WSDL using https://host:port/..... ?wsdl (instead of local WSDL) of the HelloWorld project, it fails to deploy. We think for some reason the HelloWorld WSDL and XSD are not accessible during deployment of the SAR.
Also note that HelloWorld 'wsdl and xsd' are accessible over the browser.
We deployed these composites in a different clustered env and it gets deployed succesfully but fails in this one. Any pointers will be helpful!!
Thanks

12c SOA composite deployment issue using maven
I am facing issue with 12c SOA composite deployment using maven. I execute the below command for deploying any composite. (Note: Update and run init.cmd file before running the below maven command)
mvn pre-integration-test –f soa-pom.xml –Dcomposite.name=TestSOAProj –Dcomposite.version=1.1
Issues:
As seen above, I specified composite version to be deployed as 1.1 in pom.xml file, but maven deploys the composite with version that is present in composite.xml. It does build the jar file with the version specified in the pom i.e. TestSOAProj_rev1.1.jar, but when it deploys I see the composite with version as 1.0 (this version is in composite.xml). The out of the box maven script is not overwriting the revision in the composite.xml with the value specified in the pom file.
Also, is there a way to pass the partition name as an user input parameter in the pom file. I tried this with the out of the box pom file by giving the partition name as something other than ‘default’, but the maven script ignores this and always deploys to ‘default’.
I am not sure if I am missing anything here. Please suggest.

In 12C, SOA Composite homepage, Topology tab is missing
Hi,
I did install 12c cloud control.
After that, deploy agents to monitor soa 11.1.1.5.
Then i installed ADP manager, JVM diagnostics manager, deploy ADP, JVM agents.
All status are succeeded and adp/jvm managers are up, agent status is reporting.
But when I hit any composite link of Deployed Composite in soa-infra home page, it goes to composite home page,
Only 3 tab pages there, home, fault and rejected message and web service policy.
From document it mentioned there should be Topology tab at the end. so normally 4 tab pages.
Is there anything else need to be done to show this Topology tab page for SOA composite?
Appreicate any help and comments on this issue.

I am working on an interactive book and have set up each page as a separate composition in edge.
I am using the edge commons JS library to load multiple compositions into a main composition.
You can see how this works here: Edge Commons - Extension Library for Edge Animate and Edge Reflow | EdgeDocks.com
The way the edge commons tutorial is set up requires a button for each composition i want to load. I am interested in loading multiple compositions with a "next" and "back" button, and a "swipe left, "swipe right" gesture on the content symbol that each composition is loaded into. I also need the swipe features on the content symbol not to interfere with the interactive elements on the loaded composition.
Please suggest a solution that will work without adding additional scripts beyond edge commons and jquery.Sort of. I'm using this code inside an action for a button symbol. But it doesn't work perfectly. Trying to debug it.
Let me know if you have any luck.

Issue in deploying Service Bus projects using maven
Hi,
I am following the following documentation for deploying service bus projects to my OSB server.
http://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1213/core/MAVEN/osb_maven_project.htm#MAVEN8973
I was able to issue mvn package as described in documentation and also able to see sbar files in .data/Maven directory of each project.
But i am seeing following error when i issue mvn pre-integration-test. Am i missing any steps.

Deploying applications to glassfish using Maven.
Hello,
I am both a glassfish and maven newbie.
I want to know if there's away to automatically deploy my .war in glassfish via the .pom file.
(My current solution: an ant script to copy my target .war to glassfish/domains/domain1/autodeploy is not the best;)
Thanks,oceannetau wrote:
You aren't forced to use Maven's project structure actually.
When I first tried Maven (after years of using Ant) I was annoyed by the perception that I must conform to Maven. However, the default location for such things as the ${project.build.outputDirectory} are just that - defaults for those who favour convention over configuration. You can of course override them (as I still do for the artifact output directory) and even do so in a super pom for al your projects so they can be automatically inherited.
Maven is more than just a dependency management tool though - it is a build sequencer. This perhaps more powerful if a more subtle aspect to appreciate. Once you devote a small amount of time to learn how to get the best out of Maven (read Better Builds With Maven as a good starting point) you will not want to go back to Ant - I haven't yet.
As far as finding JARs is concerned this is just as time consuming with Maven as with any other means of meeting library dependencies. I find two things useful here: one is iGoogle and a plugin for it called "javacio.us search"; the other is using a local proxy such as Nexus which also indexes the repository. Combined with an IDE such as IDEA or Eclipse which have good Maven support including artifact autocompletion this makes locating the right versions of artifacts quite easy.Apache Archiva is another very good Maven proxy. As for finding libraries, I just bang "<dependency name> maven ibiblio" into Google, and let it do the heavy lifting. Never failed me yet. What is annoying is when groupIds change between versions. Yes, Hibernate, I'm looking at you..... -
SOA composites deployed in weblogic service gets triggered automatically
Hi All,
Am facing a strange behaviour in weblogic server.
Certain SOA composites deployed in weblogic server(10.3.5.0) gets triggered automatically in the midnight at 1.00 p.m and they are in running state for more than 4 hours and then the process gets faulted .
can you please let me know, is there any timer set in weblogic server .Hi,
Yes there is.
Faulted composites might be triggered automatically and try to complete.
To stop this behevior:
Go to EM home ->Right click on soa-infra -> Soa Administration -> BPEL Properties -> More BPEL Configuration Properties -> Click on "RecoveryConfig" -> Change "maxMessageRaiseSize" to 0.
This "RecoveryConfig" property holds the responsible for the Automatic Recovery

How to attach security policies to SOA composite References using WLST?
Hi SOA Experts,
Can any one send me wlst commands to attach security policies to SOA Composite references ?Hi,
The WLST function for attaching an already available policy to a composite 'endpoint' is documented there :
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E25178_01/web.1111/e13813/custom_webservices.htm#autoId53
You can either target the exposed interface or a reference.
For exemple, when I want to attach a policy to a SOA Composite I use these parameters :
attachWebServicePolicy('None',<partitionName>+'/'+<compositeName>+'['+<revisionNumber>+']',"soa",<serviceName>,<portName>,<policyName>)

SOA composite deployment logging
When a archive file is deployed the user logged into the EM Fusion Middleware Control is logged. For example:
[2013-09-10T17:01:00.377-04:00] [soa_server1] [NOTIFICATION] [SOA-21530] [oracle.integration.platform.blocks.deploy.servlet] [tid: [ACTIVE].ExecuteThread: '7
' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'] [userId: ScottQA] [ecid: 7318932a4a6vm4a3a:-3019cafa:14006cf5fc9:-8000-0000000000033321,1:12892:3] [APP:
soa-infra] CompositeDeploymentServlet-----> received request from user: ScottQA
But w
hen a deployment is made via JDeveloper in SOA 11.1.1.6 the diagnostic.log does not capture the ID. The ID logs as anonymous. For example:
[2013-09-12T10:25:31.183-04:00] [soa_server1] [NOTIFICATION] [] [oracle.integration.platform.blocks.deploy.coordinator] [tid: ReplicatedCache:soa_qa_SOA_ClusterCacheService:EventDispatcher] [userId: <anonymous>] [7318932a4a6vm4a3a:-3019cafa:14006cf5fc9:-8000-0000000000033321,1:12892:3] [APP: soa-infra] New deployment: {id=9d11678c-f044-2c2c-sx55-ff3b7, status=startPhaseTwo, command=serverReadyCheck}
Is there a definite way to audit who is deploying when JDeveloper is used to deploy directo to a domain?Hi
I tried the following and nothing worked.
serverURL=http://10.177.154.6:8001
serverURL=http://10.177.154.6:8001/
serverURL=http://10.177.154.6:8001/soa-infra/deployer/
plz help
thanks!!! -
Error while deploying using ant in 11g
Hi all,
I am trying to deploy order demo application using ant from command line in SOA 11g. I just ran the ant script to package the composite and it is giving me below mentioned error. It is referring to 1 file in all the wsdls and creating problem. Actualy, JMS_FedEx.wsdl is partner link to JMS Adapter that writes to a queue. I am confused because I have 2 more adapter created on similiar lines like this but while compiling no error references are made to those wsdls. I am not sure What's wrong with this wsdl. However, Composite gets complied and deployed using Jdeveloper. Please provide your Inputs.
