TID10094918 addresses this but the fix stated as:
Fixed in a new ConsoleOne Snap-in file, rcconsole.exe Dated Sept 30, 2004
or newer. The file is located in 1.2\bin\zen\RcLaunch
I have looked all over for a file with this date and cannot find it.

Thank you Marcus for doing the research.
This is a big issue for me, essentially I will have a building full of
workstations registered and be able to control them then a week later
this error shows up and breaks control ability.
We are a school district on the SLA with a fairly large number of
workstations/users.
Do you have any idea when the SP1 is going to be released? If it is on
the horizon I can be patient and just delete and re-register workstations
for awhile but if they know it is a problem, have a fix for it, and just
don't want to make it available to someone who needs it I have a real
problem with that.
I remember when Novell was ahead of the pack in terms of realizing
issues, getting fixes out for them. It now seems they deterime there is
a problem and tell us they have a fix then tell us we can't have it yet.
The sheer fact they put a TID up that tells me the file I need to fix my
problem yet the file does not actually exist or is available to the
general public is something I never thought I would see from them. Where
did my old Novell go? This kinda thing never would have happened
before. This is why I got a CNE and pushed netware over and over and
over because I knew I had a technical advantage. Telling me the fix is a
file that doesn't actually exist is disheartening to say the least.
I again thank you for your research and please do not take my frustration
as being aimed towards you. I just don't understand why it has become so
difficult to get an exe that will fix a known problem.
I appreciate any help you can give. I think you guys do great work here.
I just need the rcconsole mentioned in the TID. Whom do I have to
worship to get it?

Its an IMEI issue. In my case, about a year ago, after originally purchasing my iP4 from AT&T store, I had a prox. sensor issue. Went to the Apple Store, they replaced the phone. Here is where it all stems from. The IMEI of the new phone was never updated in AT&T/Carriers systems. For iOS updates prior to iOS5, this was not an issue. My phone did its iOS updates along the way with no probs. However, when I updated to iOS5, the firmware did not match the IMEI with what AT&T/carrier had. When I went to Apple Store for the issue about 3 days ago and was given a new phone....again....the new phones IMEI was never updated with AT&T/carrier. I then again attempted the upgrade to iOS5 with the new phone and iOS5 bricked that one also. Today, at the store, we tried 3 replacements with same outcome.
So, after 4 hours and 3 replacement phones with Apple Store Tech (BTW totally gobsmacked), we solved the issue. Luckily, due to iPhone 4S launch, there was an AT&T guy there with a computer tied to the AT&T network to work along with us. The issue is......once the IMEI's on carrier account and phone do not match, iOS5 shuts down the sim card reader within phone.....forever. How to reverse this?......this is a question Apple needs to come up with, because with my case, they have 5 "bricked" phones.
What solved the issue was to get a new phone with iOS4.3.5, new SIM from carrier/AT&T, have carrier/AT&T (in their system) change/match the IMEI to the new phone and activate new SIM. Then, do iOS5 upgrade.
Simple and makes total sense..........however........there is an internal firmware (Apple Security??) issue that bricks the phone once IMEI's dont match.
I am now on iOS5.....no problems......so far. Good luck to all others.

Was the SIM card activated on another phone? I assume this is an ATT style trying to use on T-Mobile? Was the SIM installed correctly? Is the carrier (like T-Mobile) operating IOS 6 devices yet?
If the SIM is a valid SIM from say T-Mobile, you may want to contact them for assistance activating the SIM card.
Activation and SIM issues typically point to the carrier. And if this was a CDMA phone say working with verizon, it will NOT work for ATT or T-Mobile as they use different electronics on the 3GS. The SIM slot is for international use only.

Trying to back up iPad to external hard drive, "iTunes library file cannot be saved. The disk you are attempting to use is full."

This issue is somewhat complex so I will try to explain it as clearly as I can. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
It all began when I kept getting popups from my iPad saying that I had not backed up since May. I realized that was pretty dangerous so I decided to finally try syncing it to iTunes, though I had avoided doing so for so long because I knew that when I tried there was no room on the computer. I then remembered that I have an external hard drive with plenty of storage space, so I got that out and set it up with a folder to move iTunes and the backup into.
On iTunes I went to the Advanced Preferences and changed iTunes Media Folder Location to the G: folder, with the keep organized box checked. I also copied the previous backups from the original C: drive to G: so that I could delete the ones on C:.
I used Junction Link Magic to link my now empty MobileSync backup on C: to a new (JLM would not work unless it was empty) backup folder on external hard drive G:.
I plugged in my iPad to iTunes to sync it, and while it was backing up I checked the new folder on G: to make sure that the backup was being put there. It was.
However, about halfway through I got the message "iTunes library file cannot be saved. The disk you are attempting to use is full."
My question is Why? If it is being made in a 1.5 terabyte hard drive now, and not the computer, why is there no disk space? My guess is that it must still somehow be saving to the computer. But how? And how can I get it to save solely on the G: drive where there is enough room?
I am running Windows XP and the latest version of iTunes.
An additional but not as crucial issue:
Much of my music has been lost, with the being displayed next to the songs in the iTunes library, and only 50 (purchased) songs remain on my iPad. This was because those missing songs were stored on a different external hard drive ( I:). However, I copied many of the music folders on I: over to G: so that everything could be together. I am wondering if it is possible for me to get these songs back onto my iPad. But this is not my most important issue right now, because I believe that once I get the first issue solved I can simply plug in I: and G: at the same time while syncing the iPad, and get the songs back.
Note: I have come to realize the iTunes program itself is still under Program Files in the C: drive. Does this have to do with anything?

Short term, free up some disk space. Long term, move the library to a bigger drive.

Creating/loading an iTunes library (.itl) on a network drive results in dummy error "The Disk you are attempting to use is full" [Win7]

I have an 2TB external HDD attatched to my Asus router. I have iTunes installed on 3 computers in the house (Bedroom, home theater, bar). Each copy of iTunes accesses the same music folder on the external hard drive.
The problem is that iTunes creates a library file on each individual computer. The library file gets out of sync all the time (as computer 1 doesn't know when files have been added via computer 2 and so on).
Obviously the answer is to just put the Library.itl file on the same network drive. Hoilding shift whille double clicking the iTunes icon allows you to create or load a library from the location of your choosing.
All well and good so far. However, when I attempt to save to my Network Attached storage Device (NAS) iTunes gives me the "The Disk you are attempting to use is full. Please delete..." error. (There is over 1TB free on the drive.)
Creating the library file on a local HDD, moving it to the network one, and demanding iTunes access it via option start results in the SAME ERROR!!!
I'd really rather not rescan my entire library everytime I start iTunes. Adding new purchases and songs via the "Automatically add to iTunes" folder, again, only adds the files to the database file saved on the computer where the files were dragged and dropped from.
I've used windows to "Map" the network drive, as well as typed in the \\192.168 etc address of the network drive. Always get the same error.
Any help or thoughts would be greatly apperciated.

Also, tried this with itunes 10 (current build) iTunes 9.2.1, and itunes 8. Same issue.

This applies to almost all site templates except the "blank site" template. I am logged in as System Administrator.

Issue resolved!
Don't know how but somehow, xml was added to the Blocked file types. Removing the entry did the trick.

Can not download itunes programs"The disk you are attempting to use is full

I purchased recent tv programs for my mac book pro as I have many times before.
However, shen I try to download them I get the message: " All downloads and file copies have been paused. The disk you are attempting to use is full."
I thought all itunes downloads are downloaded onto an idisk, which is online memory storage. In that account I have used a fraction of my 19,456 MB. On my hard drive I have well over 1 GB of space left so what disk is being referred to in the stop sign message and how can I correct the memory allotment on that disk to download my purchased itunes programs. I am using the latest itunes, 8.1
This also happened last year for a while and mac support said to delete and reinstall itunes. When 8.1 was downloaded the problem appears to have been solved. And now it is back.

Hi and welcome to Apple Discussions.
Irrespective of your iTunes downloads you are going to run into serious problems with only 1GB of free space. The general recommendation on these forums is that one should have 10% free space as a minimum or 15% as an ideal.
Having as little as 1GB could result in system corruption or, at worst, HD damage. I recommend that you free up some space as a matter of urgency.
If you would like any guidance on what is safe to remove post back but a good starter, often neglected, is to empty your Trash.

It sounds a lot like your phone was hacked or jailbroken to unlock it prior to your trying to update it.
If that is the case, it is nowpermanently bricked.

It also appears that your phone may have been Hacked and / or Jailbroken...

I did disable the security (AVG and Zone Alarm) when I tried on my own PC. My wife's laptop which eventually got it working also uses AVG and Zone Alarm but on an XP O/S whereas my PC is Vista - maybe this is why.
