14z-v000 LAN Network adapter missing

Realtek LAN Network Adapter is missing and i'm unable to reinstall it. I tried to reinstall the Realtek LAN Driver but it keeps telling me "Realtek Network Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled  Please Plug Cable."  Also the same message occurs when I try and reinstall the Realtek Network Controller Driver. I have attempted to restore to a previous time when I had the Ethernet Adapter and the LAN connection was working. Note that i do have access to the internet through the Wireless network adapter and wireless network but in device manager I'm completely missing the adapter for the Realtek LAN Connection. Even when I plug in a Ethernet cord into the computer through the port on the side, it still doesn't detect any sort of activity. Both the orange and white lights are always on even if unpluged.

Hi ,  Welcome to the HP Forums!
 It is a terrific place to find answers and tips!
For you to have the best experience in the HP forum I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide. Learn How to Post and More  I understand that you have lost your network capability on your notebook and are unable to do a restore back to when it was working.  You are unable to install drivers for the LAN devices. Have you checked for viruses and malware?  MS Malicious Software Removal Tool Would you do this step, which will scan for corrupted files and try to repair them. Go to the command prompt  and run as administrator. Press Windows key +C to open charms.Type command prompt in the search bar.Right click and run as administrator.Type sfc /scannow and press enter.Once this completes restart your notebook and repeat this process once more. Now open Device Manager and show hidden devices, if the network adapters are not showing scan for hardware changes. Next you can try a HP PCs - Refresh Your PC to Resolve Problems (Windows 8).  This will reinstall the operating system and should not affect your personal files. If the network adapters are still not listed in the Device Manager, I would test the network adapter for a hardware failure. HP Notebook PCs - Testing for Hardware Failures (Windows 8).  Network should be listed under the component test in the UEFI which is the one you want to utilize. If for any reason that options is not available or the adapter is not recognized, if warranty is not a concern you can try reseating the network card. The next step would be to try a recovery back to factory.HP PCs - Performing an HP system recovery (Windows 8) During the recovery there is an option to backup your personal files to prevent data loss. If you have not already done a backup I suggest you do one now. HP PCs - Restoring Files that were Backed Up Using HP Recovery Manager (Windows 8) You can contact HP support for assistance or repair options at any time.Please contact HP support at Contact HP Support If you are not in warranty and you determine a repair is necessary you may also consider a local repair shop.  To say thanks for replying please click the thumbs up icon below.If this resolved your difficulty please notify people by choosing solution provided.  Good Luck.

  • Unable to access the internet on windows xp using bootcamp. I installed the bootcamp drivers ( from snow leopard) but it still doesn't work. I have parallels 6 also installed and IT works fine. I am missing a rtl network adapter-thanksr

    Hi
    I have a new 21 inch imac oct 2011 version. I installed bootcamp and windows xp on my machine and i also installed parallels 6.
    Paralleles works great and i can open any program with it. But bootcamp also works EXCEPT it refuses to give me access to the internet. I installed the bootcamp drivers from my snow leopard disk, it did not make a difference. All the drivers installed but still no internet. I then installed the bootcamp drivers from the gray mac osx disk (#1) but it stopped installing with an error number ( 2753) and it said that the package was damaged.
    I have tried everything; i opened each disk and trieed installing the files separately. Nothing.
    What i see missing in my devices screen in XP is the network adapter.
    I have a router (dlink-dr615) and it is connected by ethernet to my imac. I wonder if THIS might have anything to do with the problem. Any guidance would be much appreciated.
    Thank you

    I'd recommend reposting in the Boot Camp forum, that is where the Boot Camp and Windows gurus hang out.
    Good luck.

  • Hamachi Network Interface Adapter Missing

    I was running Windows 7 and Hamachi was working perfectly fine. However, since updating to Windows 10, I've been getting a tunnel error, Hamachi reports the error as:
    Failed to connect to the network adapterPeer is not accessible via VPN. After looking into the problem, I've noticed that the Hamachi Network Adapter is missing from my device manager and network connections. I've tried using cmd (in administrative mode) to do the commands: hamachi-2.exe --upd-taphamachi-2.exe --add-tap "Hamachi" The first command gives me
    07/30 14:09:39.087 [11620] hamachi-2.exe07/30 14:09:39.104 [11620] assert pos != -1 in ..\client2\engine\win32\main.cpp:325 while the second command: 07/30 14:09:48.727 [12256] tap: add_tapdev(Hamachi)07/30 14:09:48:731 [12256] tap: list_netdev_win32() ..07/30 14:09:48:775 [12256] tap: existing tap found, internal name [Hamachi Network Interface] I've reinstalled hamachi multiple times and now I'm at a complete loss at what to do. I would be very much appreciated if anyone can help me solve this problem.

    I've had the same problem. I've tried manualy instaling the Virtual network adapter by following the steps here http://help.logmein.com/articles/en_US/Documentation/hamachi-hamachi-troubleshooting-nwadapter/?l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1That put a hamachi network in my "Network Connections" but its an "Unidentifed Network" and the tunnel still dosesn't work.

  • Slove "missing network adapter for internet conection" in windows xp sp3

    When windows is installed in MBP via boot camp, you may enconter the problem that there is no wireless or wiered network adapter.
    what you want to do is:
    1.- be sure to have your MBP start up DVD (here are the drivers for the adapters)
    2.- go to strat, in the "my pc" icon right click it, go to "manage".
    3.- go to "device manager" in your left hand menu.
    4.- go to network adapter icon.
    5.- exapand the menu by clicking on the plus sign.
    6.-click the first icon on the drop down menu (it should be one network adapter).
    7.- in the menu bar on top, click on "uninstall" click it.
    8.- repeat steps 6 and 7 until you have uninstall all network adapters.
    9.- in the menu bar on top click on "search for hardware changes".
    10.- its done, the pc will look for the drives by it self, and if it dosen´t, just put in the dvd and ask it to browse your dvd for the drivers.
    hope it works on you guys.
    best regards

    Hi peye,
    I don't believe the problem is necessary the platform service, but a combination of your Anti-Virus and the Platform Service.
    Try this:
    Change Platform to Automatic again. Disable or temporary uninstall your Anti-Virus and see what happens.
    Report back.

  • Sat 5200-902: WiFi Network adapter is missing

    Hi,
    I'm new to the forum so please be patient if this has been answered. I did search but couldn't find anything that helped me.
    My problem is the I have a Satellite 5200-902 running XP Pro which is a WiFi ready machine. I've never try to use the WiFi functionality and only just discovered that it doesn't work.
    In fact there in no Wireless network adapter that's recognised by Device manager. I've downloaded the wireless drivers from this site but without a device listed on my laptop can't update them.
    I'm reasonably sure this has something to do with the fact that I'm running XP Pro. The notebook was preinstalled with XP Home were everything was fine. I'm on SP2 and upto date with all MS patches and would apriciate any pointers.
    Thanks,
    Regu.

    Hi
    Well, I have googled for this part number PA3212U-3MPC and I have found some online shops which sells this card. Unfortunately I dont found any informations about a compatibility of another WLan card.
    But you can ask the Toshiba service partner for detailed information. Furthermore there you can order you WLan card for the unit.

  • Lan connection / network adapter problem after computer reset to factory

    My computer was a bit over-run with malware (from kids downloading games I suspect...), so rather than keep fighting to remove some of the nastier ones, I just reset the computer to factory start with the disks we made. Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Since that time, I cannot connect to the internet. It does not have a wireless adapter.   The power supply and video card were upgraded a couple years ago; everything else is as it came from the factory. Since I cannot get online, I have not done any windows updates. When I go to Network and Sharing Center, it says "You are currently not connected to any networks" (duh) If I click on "change adapter settings" there is NOTHING in that window.   When I look at "Device Manager" there is no group for "Network Adapters" in the list. I know very little about this stuff, but it seems like the computer is not recognizing that there is even an ethernet cord plugged in.   There is of course, and when I plug that same cord into a different computer, it works. Looking under the hood, I see the network adapter is integrated....  So maybe that part is fried somehow, even though everything else seems to be working?  It just seems really really odd that it was working before the software reset and now it isn't. Any advice?

    As an update:  I found the driver on this website. Downloaded it and then transferred to the subject computer.  I tried to run it and got an error. "Original Realtek Networking Controller Driver" is at the top. "Your system does not meet the minimum requirement for this update.  Update has been cancelled.  (9996)" Could this be because it doesn't have other updates installed?

  • Windows 7 x64 Network Adapter Stops working on high load

    My Network has been failing and it has been happening for about a month or so on Windows 7 x64.  I dont think that the system configuration is the problem as it is happening on 2 seperate machines.  One being a relatively beefed up "white" box, 4 gig OCZ ram, EVGA nForce 790I SLI Mobo, Q9600 Quad core processor, dual raid 1 - 150 Gig Raptors, 2 8800GTX SLI cards, Pure Power 800W PS.  The second machine is an IBM Netbook S10.  I use the Netbook as a media center connected to a Pioneer Elite 1050HD.  One thing is I have a PS3 and have several 1TB Esata drives connected to an IOGear 3132 Esata 3.0Gb pciX card to my desktop.
    My typical usages:
    1. FTP from a private server
    2. Streaming music via Winamp
    3. Streaming video 720, 1080 from pc to PS3 via the PS3 Media Server
    4. DLing demos or movies on the PS3
    5. Network streaming a movie from the Esata drives to the bedroom or kids rooms
    6. Streaming video from abc.com or southparkstudios.com from the Cox cable modem
    7. RDC over VPN to work machines
    Now I have noticed that when I am streaming HEAVILY, from any 2 of the above mentioned, my network connections will simply stop working with a yellow exclamation mark on the task bar network icon after a few moments, nothing in the event logs, no logs or ANYTHING at all.  It will simply stop working no notifications or anything poof, gone.  I have EVERY single patch, driver anything I can think of installed.  Nothing works, the timing is completely random.  FYI I have a NETGEAR ProSafe VPN Firewall FVX538 with a cable modem connection on WAN 1 and a cellular connection on WAN2, these have no impact I feel on the connections because the PC may go down or the Netbook will go down depending on which one has the most load.  So this simply tells me that it it not a firewall router problem as I have tried using a cisco unmanaged 24 port 1GB switch and I get the same problems.  From analyzing the systems and layout I am led to believe that it is either a network adapter driver OR a Windows 7 problem (collisions, unhandled exception?), this NEVER happened with XP or Vista.  I have tried everything but a new network adapter, I have tried the secondary adapter card on the mobo, I have tried bridging the two, I have tried daisy chaining the switch and putting each machine on its own dedicated switch linked to each other with no change.  When the network goes down it is only that box effected, all other machines still connect to each other fine, only the one with load shuts down and the only ones that shut down are Windows 7.  These machines are all wired with commercial cat5e patch cables, they have all been swapped for new ones lately.  All networking and PC equipment are on UPS so I doubt voltage variations.  Windows Firewall is disabled I only use the hardware firewall, I do not use any antivirus.
    I am completely out of options, can anyone recommend a new route?
    In addition when I go to the command prompt and attempt to do an ipconfig /release.  I get an error saying that the adapter is not in a usable state.  Very irritating, this forces me to reboot, or right click disable/enable on the network adapter.  The right click route takes almost a minute to complete.
    Tried update driver in nvidia control panel, no luck.  I have also turned off the networking power saver option in the adapter settings.

    Hi,
    Considering this issue occurs on 2 different machines, I also think this issue may be more hardware related. You may also try the following:
    1.    If the computers are connecting to a router, please ensure the router’s firmware is up-to-date.
    2.    Please run the following command in an elevated command prompt in Windows 7:
    netsh interface tcp set global rss=disabled
    netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
    netsh int ip set global taskoffload=disabled
    3.    Disable SNP in Windows 7 by setting Registry as following:
    Note: Please perform a full-system backup first.
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters]
    EnableTCPChimney=dword:00000000
    EnableTCPA=dword:00000000
    EnableRSS=dword:00000000
    If the keys do not exist, please create them and assign the value.
    An update to turn off default SNP features is available for Windows Server 2003-based and Small Business Server 2003-based computers
    4.    If the issue persists, please add another network adapter to this computer and see how it works.
    Hope this helps. Thanks.

    Hi, I'm experiencing a simular problem here.
    My PC was using Asus P5Q-E motherboard but exchanged it for Asus P5Q TURBO Pro because it loses 'connectivity ' after an interval between a few hrs to 26hrs. During this state, I can't browse or my Outlook to check emails. The only thing that can send/receive data is Vuze. Plus, the strange thing is that the network icon says there's nothing wrong at all (when it obviously there is). Even the currency desktop gadgets says the time elapsed since it 'lost connectivity '.
    I initially thought P5Q-E was faulty so now I'm using the TURBO Pro. However, the problem still persisted.
    I am using Win 7 Ultimate x64 with all the updates and drivers. Connected via LAN cable to the router and the firmware is the latest. My ISP sent me a replacement router to confirm that their equipment is not faulty, which is true.
    I have tried the above methods 1-3.
    Although I'm not sure if I implemented Method 3 correctly since I don't usually go to the registry but here's what it looks like after creating it:
    EnableRSS   REG_DWORD   0x00000001 (1)
    EnableTCPA   REG_DWORD   0x00000001 (1)
    EnableTCPChimey   REG_DWORD   0x00000001 (1)
    There are 3 more PC's and 1 laptop in the house. 2 PCs use Win XP, 1 uses Win 7 Ultimate x64 and laptop uses Linux Ubuntu.
    My PC has a second OS, Linux Ubuntu, I used it to time trial both motherboards (before and after switching) and found no problems at all even after 48hrs, so it confirms it's not a hardware issue.
    The other PC's apart from mine are connected wirelessly. As far as I've been told, they don't experience the same issue I have.
    I've been trying to tackle this problem for months now and I'm frustrated to reboot my PC every time it 'loses connection '.
    I chatted with Asus about the issue when I still had the P5Q-E mobo, they said that they built a simular system to mine with the same mobo and said they couldn't reproduce the problem I'm having. THey even tested on other mobos with the same LAN chip and found nothing wrong. That's why I got the TURBO Pro that has a different LAN chip.
    Anyone got anymore suggestions???
    Thanks in advance.

  • Is it possible to change network adapter priority in windows 7 by command line?

    Ik need to change my users network adapters so that the LAN network adaperts have a higher priority than the WLAN adapters.
    I would prefer to do it trouhg a command line so that is can distrubute it with SSCM.
    Can annybody help me??

    I've found the following Blog article for you:
    http://win7settings.blogspot.be/2012/04/how-to-set-network-adapter-priorities.html
    From the Command Line
    Unfortunately there is no out-of-the-box command line interface for these Advanced settings described above. Luckily, there are two ways to set the priorities from the command line. The more difficult way is to set metrics for each network adapter (using netsh). The much easier way (easier to manage too) is to use nvspbind made by Microsoft. If you set the priorities using nvspbind, the effects can also be seen in the Advanced settings in ncpa.cpl. Here is how you use nvspbind:
    Go to http://archive.msdn.microsoft.com/nvspbind and download nvspbind. Extract the nvspbind.exe and copy it to the target machine and run:
    nvspbind.exe /++ "Wireless Network Connection" ms_tcpip
    nvspbind.exe /++ "Wireless Network Connection" ms_tcpip6
    nvspbind.exe /++ "Local Area Connection" ms_tcpip
    nvspbind.exe /++ "Local Area Connection" ms_tcpip6
    And that's it! You're done.
    This will set the priorities (IPv4 and IPv6) to:
    1. LAN
    2. WLAN
    3. WAN (if present)

    Loaded windows 7 via bootcamp. No connection to internet.  Says missing network adapters. What do I need to do??

    Same issue, but with six drivers.
    Third Apple Care rep promised to send the link to the files, but apparently didn't.  Fourth Apple Care rep sent the link - good.  Fifth Apple Care walked me through a long conversation, during which we mutually discovered the following:
    1) The link is to two driver sets:  Bluetooth and graphics.  That's all.
    2) Installing the Bluetooth driver crashes the wireless mouse.  Bad.
    3) Apple does not have the remaining drivers available online.
    4) The ONLY way to install what is surely a reasonably generic network adapter driver is to get it from the "Everything Else" disk originally included with the machine.
    It would be nice if Apple Care staff were fully briefed on these issues.

  • How can I set ne2000 network adapter in Solaris 8 for x86

    I am a beginner. I can not set a ne2000 compatible network adapter(isa) in Solaris 8 for x86.
    I do follows:
    write the file ' /kernel/drv/nei.conf ' with ' name="nei" parent="isa" reg=0x1,0x0300,0x1f interrupts=10 '
    and use the command: drvconfig -i nei --failed
    use the command: drv_add -i nei; devlinks; --there is no the command drv_add
    use the command: touch /reconfigure; reboot
    after reboot, use the command: ifconfig nei0 plumb --failed
    Did I miss something obvious, or what driver should I use?

    After backing up the suspect hard drive, I ran Disk Repair on it and found no problems. Then ran Disk Warrior again and no problems. It is a Hitachi, btw.
    As for the PrefPane issue: Repairing disk permissions on the main volume and on the partition that holds the system did not make any difference.
    Reinstalled the 10.5.8 upgrade, performed safe start and then repaired permissions again. Still getting a blank PrefPane for network.
    Next step is to try and trash the System Configuration plist and Network Interfaces plist.

    I have SLES , Redhat, windows servers in my environment and I can report the network adapter performance except for HP-UX servers. all other system resource usage on HP-UX has related rules like "%processor time", "%logical disk free space"

  • How to install network adapter driver?

    My Dell xps internet was working fine yesterday (wired connection) but then all of a sudden the internet stopped working even though the cat6 was plugged in to the router. I tried different cables to see if the cable was faulty but it turns out that my network adapter is missing a driver. I checked what network adapters are inside my motherboard but its come up with like 12 different network adapters. How do I know which one i should install the driver for? Also where can i find the correct driver to install?
    I should also note i set my pc back to a date which it was in 4 years ago since it was really slow and i wanted to improve its performance.
    I searched all over the web to find solution to my problem but none of the solutions at hand worked. 1 solution was to change the properties on my "Local Area Connection" but i haven't even got "Local Area Connection" icon for some reason (i have never seen a computer not have this icon before". It is like my computer is completely not picking up the connection from the router and even worse its as if its repelling it...
    Anyways, signed up to this forum to see if one of you guys could help out :).

    Sorted it now. Had to go into BIOS and enable internet connection.

  • System.out.println and Network Adapter problem

    Hello,
    I am encountering a 2 strange problems. I have 2 oracle application server instances, one dev and one production.
    The first problem is when I type System.out.println in the JSP's i am able to see the output in both \opmn\logs\oc4jinstance. But the System.out.println in the java classes or bean show up only in development logs but not in production box.
    Is there a setting I am missing here?
    The second problem is on our development machine the application works fine, but as soon as we deploy the application on production I encounter:
    could not open new connection: Io exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
    I have a class called DBUtils, which uses a 3rd party library to get connections from the connection pool as below. Using JSP I call the getConnection(). On my dev Oracle Application Server Instance it works fine, but on production I get the error. Can it be there is a setting that I am missing on the production box?
    When I use a JSP and connect to the database without using the DBUtil class. I can connect to the database fine. Also using the DBUtil class with production oracle IP address on the development machine lets me connect with no problem, but production machine does not let me.
    public class DBUtils {
    static ConnectionPoolBean pool;
    static {
    System.out.println("DBUtils() - before connection pool bean");
    pool = new ConnectionPoolBean();
    pool.setDriverClassName("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");
    pool.setdbURL("jdbc:oracle:thin:@IPADDRESS:PORT:SID");
    pool.setUser("USERNAME");
    pool.setPassword("PASSWORD");
    pool.setInitialConnections(1);
    pool.setIncrement(1);
    pool.setSoftMaxConnections(40);
    public static Connection getConnection() throws SQLException {
    System.out.println("Getting Oracle Connection");
    return pool.getConnection();
    public static void returnConnection(Connection conn) throws SQLException {
    System.out.println("Returning Connection");
    pool.returnConnection(conn);
    Thanks for your help in advance.

    Hi
    System.out.println is a method of PrintStream in IO which is used to print the output on console in java progs.Here in jsp ,the o/p is printed on server's console window.But out.println is totally different as, out is implicit object derived from JspWriter and is used sly to PrinWriter 's object is used in servlets.It's work is to write upon Browser.
    System.out.println() is normally used in jsp for debugging purposes only.

  • Apple itunes installed network adapter and wiped my wireless out

    On Windows Vista x64, I tried to take the update for itunes and it said it failed, to try download only (which has not been working either for me over past year; I always have to uninstall and go to the site to download/install it myself).  But my internet stopped working 5 days ago (my wireless adapter inside laptop cannot find any networks ever; nor did my ethernet connection work to overcome this) and my first line of defense was to use sys restore; low and behold, there was an entry for the time period it stopped working that "apple network adapter installed" but no matter which restore point I tried to use anywhere around that event, it always came back with errors and stated no changes were made; still no internet either.
    I have uninstalled the hardware thru device manager and tried to let windows reinstall it with drivers, but that doesn't fix it either.  I even downloaded onto a flash drive the original driver that has since been updated by Intel for my Intel Link 5100 wireless adapter, but still it will not work.  The ethernet did start working once I installed the old original driver for it, but even last night I got the error while plugged into my router "limited connectivity" meaning no internet. I then tried uninstalling all apple programs and kept being blocked from doing so (sounded viral to me so I ran norton power eraser, spoke with support, even used couple other programs for spyware malware bootkit/rootkit etc).  Now I finally got all the programs uninstalled, cleaned the registry, and still I cannot get the wireless adapter to work.
    I have spent days on this issue, seeing other discussions over the past few years where this has happened before (an update with apple's network adapter installs and wipes out the actual hardware adapter) but each time it only affects certain models of wireless/ethernet adapters.  Guess this update got mine.  I am trying NOT to have to restore my computer to factory condition as it is over 2 years old and that will mean millions of updates to all microsoft programs, drivers, etc.
    Does anyone have any ideas that will fix this?  I can send you my specs if you need them.
    Sheila

    Thx for the suggestion, but this is the post I originally found and figured out what went wrong, However, as I stated in my question post, I have not only uninstalled, scanned for hardware changes (w/o reboot) and rebooted and watched windows install device drivers for both lan & wifi, yet the wifi absolutely will not work now.  I have the ethernet working since installing the old original driver, and today I was able to actually get back up to the last wifi driver from intel I had before itunes wiped it out.  But still no wifi.  My intel program and intel's system checker I used on their website states:
    WIRELESS NETWORKING INFORMATION
    Wireless Networking Product
    Intel® WiFi Link 5100
    Driver Version
    13.4.0.9
    Intel PROSet/Wireless Version
    not detected
    Software/Driver Status
    Newer Driver Available
    Latest version available
    13.5.0
    Hardware IDs
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4232&SUBSYS_12018086&REV_00
    and I can't get the Newer driver to install without errors stating it will not work with my ACer setup.  But at least I got from v12.0.0.73 today to the one above.  I reinstalled Itunes today hoping that would fix anything I'd removed and the version was like 10.3.x.x.x.  Then I uninstalled from device manager & rebooted hoping wifi network adapter would start working again, but alas, no..
    Hope someone can help me soon, cause I've run out of ideas.
