15.1 License Level for ipv6?

Specifically looking at branch routers here.
Under IOS 12.4 it was very easy to identify what features were included in a specific firmware build, you just powered up the software feature navigator entered your router and what feature you required and you would be provided with a list of firmware images to upgrade to/purchase to achieve the desired feature.
Unfortunately with 15.1 licensing this no longer works, it appears that every feature is shown as available in the "UNIVERSAL DATA" image with the unhelpful comment at the end of the list indicating that some features may require an additional license but with no pointer to discover which license level contains which feature.
To give an example, try searching for images for the CISCO887VA-M Integrated Services Router. This is available in 2 flavours ADVANCED SECURITY & ADVANCED IP SERVICES, now ADV SEC does support ipv6 but the question is how much of the ipv6 feature set does it support before an upgrade to ADV IP SERVICES is required?

I agree that Cisco says so and also it should be so.
But it happens I know it is not true. At least for one command that many will agree is one of the most needed in the ipv6 world.
Most of us to obtain an IPv6 address from a provider use an ipv4 tunnel which requires the "tunnel mode ipv6ip"
command. This command was available in the ip plus feature set but it is not in the universal image ip base.
You need a data k9 license probably for a few commands ipv6 related. I have opened a TAC case and reported it to Cisco. No reply whatsoever.
I had to buy a 370 USD data license for my 1921 (a 1000 USD hardware) just to raise the tunnel.
this does not match with the Cisco statement:
Cisco will support packaging parity for IPv6 with IPv4, for Cisco Integrated Services Routers Generation 2, starting with Cisco IOS Software Release 15.0(1)M, as well as in future 15 M and 15 T releases. IPv6 feature support for a technology will now be packaged in the same feature set as IPv4.
In fact the ipip tunnel mode is in the base image/license.

(1) construct a table or result set that has one row per month in the review period. [This thread|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=3651350?] has a similar problem.
(2) outer-join your actual data to that result set
(3) use the aggreagate COUNT (x) function (where x is some column from your table) to see if there were any matches in each month. GROUP BY months.
For a more specific answser, ask a more specific question.
Post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements), and the results you want from that data.
It never hurts to say what version of Oracle you're using.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I don't use testing. I had upgraded to kernel 2.6.38.3-1. That caused the problem, so I downgraded to the previous version, 2.6.38.2-1, andthings are OK now.
Edit: I did pacman -Syu on both systems and after upgrading pacman I let it upgrade the kernel and it seems OK now. I would like to know what happened if anyone can shed some light.

I need to double check with you regarding the below log message:

Does this means that i am having high throughput that exceeds my license 20G or what?

it so not possible stack two switches with different licence. You will have to order new license to be same on both switches.

Q. How is a “ license mismatch error” fixed in a Cisco Catalyst 3850 stack?

The license level of the mismatch stack member switch can be changed with the license right-to-use activate <license> all acceptEULA CLI command (entire stack should have the same wired license level) and reloaded from the active switch console. This will enable the member switch to join the stack successfully. The customer has to purchase a license before moving to a specific license level.

Correct Licensing Issue for SAN_EXTN_OVER_IP_IPS4

I have two MDS switches that should have identical licensing/features installed. One of the switches is continuously logging 'license file missing' for SAN_EXTN_OVER_IP_IPS4. We are not using this feature. What do I need to do to clear up the log files? Below is a comparison of the 'show license usage' for each switch.

The IPS 4 module was short lived and has been end of support for a while.
Issue this command to see if the MDS will report what feature is triggering the license to be 'in use'.
show license usage SAN_EXTN_OVER_IP_IPS4
This command should show what configuration commands are generating this message. The file missing is not something to worry about. I mean it is annoying, but will not harm the switch operation.
Do you know if you even have an IPS 4 module installed? 'show module' would indicate if you do.
This looks to be a remnant of using the IPS4 module for an FCIP connection sometime back.
The other option is change the logging level for the license manager. The default is level 6 (informational) which means levels 6 down to 1 are all logged. You change the logging level from 6 to a lower number to stop them from showing up. I believe that the missing file is a level 3, so you could set the logging level for licmgr messages to 2 (which would be 2,1 and 0 inclusive). This would not the messages...just stop them from being recorded in the log.

License Key for my applications

I have created an application and would like to distribute as freeware from my product website.
I would like to enforce users of my application to continually upgrade to the next version of the application on expiry of a license key.
How can I create license keys for my application that will enable me to specify an expiry date etc.. That way when the license expires the users are required to input a new license key of the application.

Remember, you are developing in Java. The Java VM executes byte code. Byte code can be modified in place, or reverse engineered, modified at the source level and re-compiled.
You can not stop clever people form working around whatever scheme you go for.
You may come up with a very cunning scheme indeed and congratulate yourself on a job well done. Then along comes some guy/gal who's brighter and/or more experienced than you and in two shakes your scheme is compromised.

Large, expensive, commercial systems have large, expensive licensing mechnisms. They can all be compromised. Take BEA's scheme for WLS, they keep chaning it between version, but you just need to be dilligent and figure it out. That is, I'm sure you could do it. I, of course, would never consider attempting such a thing.
One word of warning - messing with commercial vendors code will, at the very least, invalidate your license agreement and, at worst, end up with you spending time behind bars.
Let me say here that I do not advocate reverse engineering commercial code. There, I think I've covered my ass on that one ;)
Having said all this. Even the simplest scheme will work for the vast majority of users/developers who have dificulty working out how to set their own class path.
My advice? If you insist on putting this key scheme into your system, spend as little time as possible and make it real simple. As Albert Einstein once said "Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler".

OC4J: log level for application deployment?

Most likely application is trying to display a prompt, run your app in full visibility mode and see if it goes through.
Sometimes, when app is receiving incorrect license key it will also hang like that. The only way it's going to fail is once you run out of time, which by default is 120 minutes I think.
Other times, app needs mapped drive etc, there might be many more reasons.
SCCM logs will show you what is received from app. If nothing is received, then logs are useless and you need to use application level logging or take a look at windows logs (system and application) - they might be useful too.
As a last resort, you can use psexec and run installer as system account to mimic what SCCM is using and see if app installs or also takes its sweet time.

Will saving a sequence file with modified variables work on all licensing levels of TestStand?

I am thinking of enabling editing of test limits for a few steps via an operator interface mechanism of some sort (popup dialog box, etc.).
If I make an API call to save the sequence file with the modified limits (as opposed to using the property export/import mechanism), will the call succeed if the end-customer has only a deployment license (no debug or dev)?
For that matter, if I *were* to use the property export mechanism via an API call from the operator interface, would that call succeed regardless of the licensing level on the target machine?

The deployment license will not allow you to save sequence files using the API. It will generate an error.

Is a separate license required for Oracle Label Security? Or could my company have an site-wide enterprise license for the Oracle database but not OLS?

OLS is an option that can be added to Enterprise Edition of the database.
As with all Oracle database options, if you decide to use (and therefore license) it, the number of OLS licenses must match the number of EE database licenses.
Note that OLS is built using the Row Level Security, or VPD, feature that is included in the Enterprise Edition. The big advantages of OLS over rolling your own RLS-based security - it comes with a UI; it simplifies administration; it's been tested; it is supported directly.

Logical level for logical fact table sources

it is clear that for fact aggregates, we should use the Content tab of the Logical Table Source dialog to assign the correct logical level to each dimension.
question is : is it mandatory to assign even for non-aggregates fact tables the logical level for each dimension (which normally should be set to the most detailed level of each dimension) ? is it any known issue if "logical levels"in content tab are not set ?
the reason I'm asking this is a strange bug I have (I'm not going to discuss it here) and then only workaround seems to be NOT setting the logical levels (on content tab) for logical fact table sources.

If levels are not set: By default levels are considered as lowest level
It should not matter if you set or not
Generally we set for facts explicitly when we are using Aggregate tables.
Your current issue might be a case by case; I would suggest to check implicit fact, any table mapped to the source to force a join etc

Unable to get the composite instance for the invocation. This could be because instance has not yet been created or because the audit level for the SOA infra has been set to Off

I am on Oracle 11.1.1.7 BPM suite on W8 64 bit. I can't launch the flow trace and get the error "Unable to get the composite instance for the invocation. This could be because instance has not yet been created or because the audit level for the SOA infra has been set to Off". I have set the audit level to development at the soa-infra>SOA Administration> Common Properties > Audit level set to development and Capture Composite Instance State is Checked.

Can you please confirm me the following steps...
Log in to the EM console, Expand soa-infra (soa_server1) , go to the partition where your composite is been deployed, Click on your composite, On the right, click on the dropdown Settings and choose Composite Audit Level. you can choose to set the Audit Level for this composite. If you choose Inherit, it will take the settings to what the server is being set to. Otherwise, we can override it by choosing Off, Production, or Development.
Make sure your setting for that composite is not Off, keep inherit or production or development.

Text data is not displaying at Report level for an Infoobject Item name

Hi All,
Texts data is maintained at Info object level but text information is not displaying at Report level for an object. I have set the property at query level as "Text", but at report level it is displaying key values of the object, not displaying texts information. This problem occured in QA(Quality) system but not replicated in Production system. I have checked all properties at backend and query level and compared the same between QA and Production system didn't find any difference.
Please suggest what might be the cause: at report level it is displaying key values instead of the textual information even text data is mainintained at backend. In production it is displaying textal data for the IO.

Thanks for your valuable information. I have changed the setting under Advanced tab as "Master data" for Access type for results values, but didn't solved the problem still it showing key information for the IO.
In Production system the report displaying texts information for the IO, but in QA its displaying key information. The problem exits only in QA, its working fine in DEv and Production.
As per my understanding might be the issue with Patches will be checking with Basis team on the same.
Please suggest if you have any alternatives to fix the issue.
