I have a $15 balance but I'm unable to redeem in iTunes - and I don't understand why...

i wasn't able to purchase music...but i contacted iTunes support and they helped correct the problem. Thanks for the response ffiti!

If you are talking about redeeming credits that you may have in your iTunes Store account, you may find the information in the following article helpful:
Which payment methods will be used first?
When you make a purchase, content credits are used first, followed by Gift Certificate, iTunes Card, or Allowance Account credits. Your credit card or PayPal account is then charged for any remaining balance.
When you buy individual songs from the iTunes Store:
Free song credits are redeemed first.
If you have no free song credits, then your gift certificate, prepaid card, and allowance credits are used next.
If your gift certificate, prepaid card, or allowance credit is less than the total cost of the purchase, your credit card is billed for the remaining balance.
If you have no free song credits or gift certificates, prepaid cards, or allowance credits, your credit card is billed for the songs you buy.

I just ran into this problem today... on Windows, I had to manually launch the MediaManagerII.exe from the DVDROM / MediaManager folder on the disc. I entered the provided code and then it gave me a different code from which to use in iTunes. It worked after that! On a Mac, you just need to launch the Fox Digital Copy.app if it doesn't launch automatically. Let me know if you have any questions!

Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

Are you able to try taking it back to the store that you bought it from and ask them to activate it properly ? Redeemed iTunes GC but Unable to Purchase Pages on App Store

I would like to purchase Pages for my new Macbook Air. I redeemed 2 iTunes gift cards which shows up on my account just fine. However, I go into the Mac App Store to purchase Pages and it asks me for my credit card info or to redeem a gift card. Well, I already did that but it keeps taking me to the page to use either a credit card or redeem a gift card. I checked my iTunes account and I have sufficient funds to purchase this app. Why won't it use the funds in my iTunes account?

The total value of your purchase including any taxes needs to be less than the credit available or your credit card will be charged.

When I try to download an app, even a free one, a box pops up saying I need to verify payment info. When I try to redeem my iTunes money it shows my balance but requires a code. ??? Any help?

While trying to download an app, even a free one, the download starts then a box pops up asking for verification of payment. I put in my credit card info but then it doesn't like my address info.? So I then try every variation of spelling and such. I can't make it happy, I never had a prob before .
Then I decided to try to redeem my iTunes money but a box come up , it has my account name there, and my remaining $. It all looks correct. But it asks for a code .??? I entered all the info when I got the card. Then threw the card away. I've bought items from this with no prob until now. ???
So I'm suppose to hang onto that carduntil I spend everything? Never did before, and it was working fine till now.
So here I sit . Pretty much clueless and starting to steam !

If you have a credit card on file on top of your gift card then it is asking you to confirm the security code for the card, which for a Visa or MasterCard is 3 digits located on the back, or AMEX has 4 digits on the front. This happens just to ensure that you are the account holder, and would happen from time to time whether it was a free or paid app, even if you have a credit through your gift card. This doesn't mean that your credit card will be charged.
