  So, you don't bother to check the monthly bill before the automatic payment is deducted? I seem to get an email each month listing the $ amt and when it is going to be charged to my CC.
Have to say it is on you for not doing that, not ATT for increasing your bill $1.  Generally bills increase in the Feb billing, not any other month.

    Hi melbernai - not sure if you've solved this problem yet. I had the exact same problem recently with my 2nd Gen iPod Nano. I solved it yesterday by simply updating iTunes to the most recent version, after which I could get rid of the register screen. The only other thing I needed to do to add my custom playlists was select "Manually manage music" on the screen for my iPod, since it had been in an automatic synching mode since the problem occurred.

    This is not just annoying, it is wrong, because at the end of the trial it will stop completely. You must resolve it before then.
    So, did you do anything to license the trial version? It needs to be told that you have purchased, or it will stop working at the end of the trial.

    There are a number of threads about this issue on the forum if you want to do a search.  Basically, you need to uninstall the latest update to Android System Webview:

    When I have subscribed to my kids sport calendars some of the events show up in my calendar on my phone at a specific time but some show up as all day yet when you click into it, it shows a specific time. How do I fix this?

    Same here, I subscribe to NY Mets schedule and get the same with some entries .. Hope some posts a solution here soon.

    Just went to verizon to buy the Nokia 928...want to know why Nokia is WAY behind Android and Apple>. their marketing people must be working for the competition. They launched a new phone today on verizon..the Lumia 928 in only 2 colors(white/black). Guess whatBlack is not available until next week-Really???!!!! Are you kidding me. I wanted to try out the new camera and use it for some end of school stuff for my kids this weekend. Now i have to use my 4 year old Droid 2. Maybe i should just get the Samsung Galaxy 3 and stick with Droids. Unbelievable Nokia!!! Keep shooting yourself in the foot!!!

    I know there are aleady countless threads about the battery life but I really want a proper response from anyone on here who can speak for nokia?
    WHY are you washing your hands of "battery issues " after this latest update when there are clearly so many people still with issues.
    9 hours since last charge now on 52%. That's with email checking every now and then over 3g and some facebook and some whatsapp. Few minutes of listening to music too.
    It's clear the latest battery update just changed the calculations so it showed there was more time estimated left...... (reckons 18 hours left but I'm more concerned about how much has gone in the past 8 hours rather than how much it says is left)
    Diagnostics tells me the full charge capacity is 1354mAh.....:/
    I'd also LOVE to know how you can claim these figures

    I can't even get 55hours max 3g standby time let alone listening to music for that long.

    I have to agree with the OP - in that I feel that the battery life on these Nokia's is very poor.  The fact that this is Nokia that we're talking about, the same Nokia that built it's kingdom on bullet proof dependability and huge battery life, maybe compiles the problem.
    I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 - 1650 mAh and this new Lumia 800 (1450mAh).  I charged both last night and then used the SGS2 as my main phone all day with the Lumia along for the ride just to compare.
    Both phones had WiFi turned on and the phone set to 2G.  I installed a couple of apps on the Nokia and had it checking emails every 30 mins. 
    The Nokia has just died after less than 18 hours - of basically being on standby all day only. No calls, no maps, no GPS, no screen use, just emails and twitter check twice.  Stone dead.
    My SGS2 is still showing 54% charge after much more demanding use.  Even taking into account the extra 200mAh of the android battery, that would still equal around 48% remaining.
    Although others may feel that this is acceptable, especially if they simply don't use the phone very often in a day, for people that actually need to depend on their Lumia for any level of productivity away from a power source, this is terrible.  Throw in the fact that it's a sealed unit....pretty ridiculous.  My old N8 lasts vastly longer than both these phones.

    As a long time user of Nokia phones and more recently Android handsets, coming back to Nokia feels a little like they've taken 2 steps forward and 3 steps backwards with the Lumia.
    I would like to return this handset to Nokia and try something else...maybe the N9 has a better battery life?

  • Quality issues with Pre and the Touchstone, are you kidding?

    I´m really pissed off Palm and the quality of their products:
    I got yesterday my third Palm Pre, first one had the oreo-effect (it was possible to move the slider arround 0.5 cm to the right and left), the second one had a problem on the display inside, (difficult to explain was looking like the display comes off the cover), and the third one has 6 pixels not working and the power button is shaking and it seems I will loose it in the next days.
    The Touchstone causes problems, if the battery is full, every 10 seconds it is starting to charge again. Thanks for that, my battery has now 250 loading cycles in one night. Had to use some tapes and put it on the stone and now it is working, but this can´t be the solution for that..
    Beside that, the webOS is funny and I really like it, but it is a shame. Apple did a lot wrong with the first iPhone, like missing copy&paste and MMS, but the Pre? One notification sound for SMS, Email, Chat, System sounds? Are you kidding? A 50,- Euro-Mobile can make it better. In 1.3.1 it is possible to select a ringtone for SMS. Great! And for Email? I don´t know if I got a SMS, Email, System hint or Chatmessage.. 
    And I found a really anoying bug right now: if the battery is empty, it looses the time, if the network time is set to off. So my Pre shows me 30 min in the past (actual time on the pre 22.59)
    Sorry, but this is not the right way for a come back..

    This is how you adjust the AirPlay speaker from your iOS device now. Not from the right of the volume bar in iTunes like in the past. hope this helps. Just above the camera and calculator icon on the bottom. My "iHome iW3 E7046D" is the chosen device.

    .This happens whether or not I sign in to Creative Cloud before attempting to launch Lightroom.
    My subscription is in good standing and Lightroom/ Photoshop are up to date. There are no earlier versions installed.

    From what you report it appears that you have a trial version of Lightroom 5 perpetual license version installed. Subscribing to the Creative Cloud package PS CC and Lightroom will not activate this version. Try the following.
    1. Uninstall Lightroom using the OS system normal uninstall process. This will not affect your existing Catalog and user files and but will just remove the Lightroom Application.
    2. Reboot your computer.
    3. Open the Adobe Creative Cloud Application Manager and it should give you the option to download the latest Lightroom 5 install package. Proceed to download and install this version and it should be activated automatically, no requirement to enter any license key like the Perpetual License version. It will automatically link to your existing Catalog files etc.

    Have you updated your video card driver from the GPU maker's website?
    The drivers that shipped with Win 8 are pretty out of date (and buggy).

  • Instructed to download adobe manager, now says that 00 days left on trial, but I purchased the product a long time ago?

    I was suddenly asked to download the adobe program manager when I started Adobe Premiere Elements 12. I did it, and then it asked me to log into my account, which I did. Now it's stating that I have 00 days left on my trial and will not start. I have purchased the product a long time ago, it was never on a trial basis. My account also reflects this. What's up??

    What computer operating system was your Premiere Elements 12 running on? What computer operating system are you now trying to get the product installed? Same?
    For now I am assuming Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.
    When you get the tryout looking dialog, does it include the choices of License This Product or Buy? If so, what happens if you click on License This Product?
    How are you installing the program - from installation files from an online download or from installation disc from box packaging of the program?
    If an online download from your Adobe Account/Orders, there should be 2 files for you to download...exe (Adobe Application Manager) and 7z (the program).
    Have you attempted to update the Adobe Application Manager that is requested? Probably referring to

    Please review and consider and then we can try to put it altogether.

    Utter disgrace !
    I moved house on the 22nd of this month and the previous week I used the BT home move online system to request for my existing number to be transfered to my new house (an existing house which has a BT line running up to it and a BT master socket installed) and then for BT Broadband and a call plan to be set up as well. I gave all the details of the new house and the system informed me that it was straightforward for me to keep my number and that there would be no need for an engineer visit, there would be no cost involved and that everything could be up and running the following Friday. My new house is very close to my previous house so this all made sense. I placed the order based on that.
    We then move house but instead of being up and running that following Friday I get an email the next day 27th October to say there has been a slight delay but they "Have fixed the problem and the line and broadband will be connected on the 5th November".
    I work from home and am in a new house where I desperately need to order all kinds of things so I ring up BT and ask if the 5th can be brought forward at all. I get told there is nothing they can do that weekend but they will ring me "very first thing Monday morning".
    Needless to say there is no call so I call them (clocking up bills on my mobile) and long story short I am told they will need to get an engineer out, and that there will be costs for that (£130) and that they cannot honour the broadband deal I signed up to and the new price is double what I signed up to ........ and the icing on the cake......... the first appointment they can get an engineer out is ........   6th December !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..................... This is October and you are going to make me wait till December... and then for what ????
    BT - needless to say you have done quite a nice job convincing me to look elsewhere for Broadband but it looks as though I am stuck with you needing the phone line and if all you can do is December then I formally request you to remove the word "British" from your company name as this service you have offered is a genuine slur on what this country is all about and what it is trying to do to get itself out of this financial predicament.
