15" or 17" don't know what one to get
I'm looking at getting the MacBook Pro but i don't know if u should get the 17" or the 15" i did have a 17" powerbook that broke and i have been using a 13" macbook
i did hear that the 15" screen was better then the 17" is this true? i really dont know what one to get as i like the easy of portability but i like the big screen so what do people think???

don't know if this helps... if you are looking at the 15" then I assume that you are happy with the glossy screen - cause the matte option is only an option on the 17". I've just bought the matte 17" and the resolution is bugging me cause at 1900x1200 the whole thing is so difficult to read, especially if like me you choose to use an external keyboard, then it's even more difficult! (practically impossible). If you choose a different display setting then you lose half the screen and have to continually drag the screen around, which is even more frustrating. Wish I'd thought about this when buying!!!. But for me the 17" was only option cause I detest the glossy screen trend - they are so impractical. As it is it looks like I'll end up buying an external display.

I have a lot of pictures and i know I am going to be getting an external hardrive. But i am stuck between the 13 in new macbook air and the 15 in retina macbook. battery life is important but i want it to be really fast and just like a powerhorse. Had you mailed your MacBook in for just the random
shutdown issue? It seems bizarre that it has taken so
long, because I sent mine in for the same issue and
it took two weeks total turn around. Also, did they
give you any reason as to why it will take so long to
ship out your replacement?
My MacBook was initially sent in just for the random shutdown issue, but then I called them while it was getting repaired to request the new plastic, since that was becoming a public issue. I think the logic board was replaced by two weeks into the repair, but then it had to wait longer for plastic. When all of that was replaced, it failed the final testing and was going to take longer, but they offered a replacement.
I think my replacement is taking so long because it is a custom build (so that took about 3 business days) and then estimated shipping is always one week, so since yesterday it has been waiting to be shipped.

I am having a problem with my Mac OS X 10.7.5 mac book air , there are constant pop pups and small windows with ads blinking constantly opening up on my safari in front of everything?? it is constantly interupting me and makes me mistakingly click on it then another new windows open behind the one im using..

I have a Mac leopard. Did a recent recommended update. When it finished,I restarted then a window came up to enter Master Password. I don't know what it is and when I try to enter one, the window shakes so I am unable to use computer at all.
Please confirm exactly what Mac this is, and what 'recent update' you installed.

Last night as I was setting up the pin I got distracted and entered the wrong one, now I can't access my phone as I don't know what I entered. Is there anyway around this or do I have to wipe my phone and sign in with my Apple ID and restore from icloud??
I can't ask for help on chat as I'm away from home and don't have the box with me, and obviously can't get the serial number in my phone as I've locked myself out!!

"Migrating" and/or "transferring" an application is not just asking for trouble but demanding it!
Always install an Adobe application from scratch, from the original media: CD or download. -

Assuming you mean that you performed the repair yourself, it would seem that you either obtained a defective screen or you did some sort of damage when you replaced the screen. You can try asking for assistance on ifixit.com, a site dedicate to those attempting their own repairs, or you can take the iPad to a shop and pay them to try to correct the problem for you. Apple will no longer touch your iPad now that you've attempted your own repairs.

You installed the Conduit spyware. To remove it, triple-click the following line of text to select it:
~/Library/Application Support/Conduit
Copy (command-C) the text to the Clipboard. Then select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the Finder menu bar and paste (command-V) into the box that opens. A Finder window may open with a folder named "Conduit" selected. If so, delete the selected folder.
Select Go to Folder again and enter:
/Library
From the folder that opens, delete the following items, if they exist. You may be prompted for your login password.
Application Support/Conduit
InputManagers/CTLoader
LaunchAgents/com.conduit.loader.agent.plist
ScriptingAdditions/ct_scripting.osax
Close the folder. Now select Go to Folder one more time and enter:
/Applications/Toolbars
Delete that item. Close the Finder windows you opened. Log out and log back in. -
what is an smpt password? I have problems sending photos using the stamp at the bottom because it asks for some smpt password and I have no clue to find out what it is, how to set one of find one if I somehow put one in and don't know what it it.
It's the password for your outgoing mail in your Mail account. You need to set it up in your Preferences.

If you forgot the passcode, you'll have to restore it to remove the passcode, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212. If it is running iOS 7 with Find My iPhone enabled, you'll have to force it into recovery mode in order to restore it, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808 (or erase it using Find My iPhone on icloud.com).
