150% UI Scaling Option for Photoshop

I'd been trying to get some feedback from the guys at Adobe regarding this, but seems like no one has seen or heard this pleas. I'm currently using a Surface Pro 3 to work on Photoshop, and while I really appreciate the fact that Adobe introduced the 200% scaling option, it's really too big to do anything productively. It's definitely usable, but is it the best scaling? I would really hope 150% scaling option to be added as well. So we could toggle between it base on our preference.
What do you guys think?

++
Also need the same feature. 200% is too big, 100% is too small.
And more than that, I don't see why Photoshop wouldn't follow the applied OS (Windows 8.1) UI Scaling setting like all other apps do...

  • Paste into option for Photoshop CC

Paste into option for Photoshop CC...When the image is pasted, it is not to scale for the selected area. How do I change this? I have adjsuted the size of the image being copied but it does not help.

Paste into doesn't auto scale the image to fit inside the selection, you usually have to scale the pasted image manually using Free Transform.

  • Which Dual AMD FirePro option for Photoshop CC?

I was wondering which of the Dual AMD FirePro option for the new Mac Pro is best for Photoshop CC. I mainly do retouching (so no video editing nor 3D rendering in Photoshop). Basically Adobe is adding GPU-accelerated features with every release. The most important ones are the following: Liquify, Warp and Puppet Warp, Field Blur, Iris Blur, Tilt-Shift and Adaptive Wide Angle Filter
Regarding the Dual AMD FirePro options for the new Mac Pro does it make sense to upgrade the standard D300 to the D500 (or even the D700)? I guess for 3D animations, Premiere Pro or Mari (3D paint tool) it would definitely make sense but for PS CC I can't imagine a real performance gain as the D300 is already very powerful with a dual GPU and 2GB of GDDR5 VRAM each.
Any thoughts on to what extent Photoshop would benefit from upgrading the D300 to the D500?

Check out MacRumors where they are speculating madly :-)
Already been seen that more than 2GB helps and why folks are using 2.5 to 4GB cards already.
All depends on getting good compiles generating OpenCL and learning to leverage it.
I think MPG site would be perfect from  both computer insight and from a heavy CS/CC user like Lloyd.
The 6-core gives the best in MHz and turbo boost for you.
I thought macperformanceguide said it all. You read it??
    GPUs:
Based on past testing, I felt there was no value in paying for the D700 GPUs with 6GB memory each. If the dual D500 GPUs don’t provide a massive speedup over the prior Mac Pro 5870 video card, then something is seriously wrong. Or they are just not used, which is usually the case. And they are OpenCL, which is not necessarily supported by much software.
But the 6-core includes the D500 GPUs as standard (over the 4 core), and so there they are. One way to save money is to start with the 4-core CPU, upgrade it to the 6-core, and this then saves about $400 on the GPUs by sticking to the D300 models.
But at 4:00 AM I forgot about this, and besides, the fractional cost when all other costs are considered drops well below 10% of the system price. And there is no way to know for sure if the GPUs have any benefit short of testing identical configs on specific tasks. None of the GPU options are slow.

  • No Scaling Option for Dell WQHD IPS Monitor

    I have a Dell UltraSharp U2713HM which have a Native Resolution2560 x 1440 at 60 Hz .
I used MDP to DP cable ant my new macbook pro retina is driving it @Native Resolution2560 x 1440 at 60 Hz just fine.
My RMBP's "Colour LCD" is scaling perfectly. but my U2713HM have no scaling options like RMBP screen.
I can Downgrade resolution to 1080p or something other than that there is no option.
I see some videos on youtube that OS X support 4k display with same scaling options on my RMBP display.
On my U2713HM  native resolution looks good but difficult to browse Facebook etc.
it is too small. if i downscale resolution it is not as good as 2560 x 1440.
    How to solve this problem?
    This is my first mac

    Hi Rich,
Normally I wouldn't recommend cross-posting, but if this isn't a MBP hardware issue, there is also a Windows Compatibility forum you may want to post in. Good luck.

  • Additional options for Photoshop Brushes pop-up window

I created Brushes to add borders or edges arround images and for every brush 4 different angles: 0, 90, 180, 270 because it is much easier to change from right click pop-up window or using , and . keyboard shortcuts then opening Brush panel or to use Options Bar every single time. What I suggest is to add at least Flip X and Flip Y in right click pop-up window from Brush Tip Shape tab. It will be great to have and angle control and clicable icon (or keyboard shortcut) to set options for current Brush as for previous. Here I mean options like Wet Edges, Color Dynamics and so on. I like randomness of colors whith Color Dynamics and Air brush mode but colors changing too fast, can you add some control over it for example to press some key and slow down display of color randomness. I know what to do to save every brush with preferred options but I plan to share this brushes and those preferences may not be very exciting for other users.

Often, the feedback/feature request sub-forms are disbanded and shut down, when a new version is released. Not sure if that happened here, but if the last post is close to the CS 5.5 releases, then it might explain it. In a case like this, should the sub-form be closed, it would be nice to get a sticky telling everyone that it is now closed.
    Just thinking,

  • Where do I find the UI Scaling option in Photoshop CC 2014?

I have a Companion Cintiq running Win 8.1..I am a new PS user..After searching for an answer to the tiny and unreadable text and icons on my screen and not being able to enlarge them (no, the display fix inside Windows doesn't do it), I basically found there is no answer at all from Adobe on helping us actually see the software there selling us..So in reality, I'm supposed to suck it up and be happy with what I have?..Can anybody fill me in on an upcoming fix or if there is one and I just missed it?

If you have the newer Cintiq companion 2 CC 2014 has a 2x UI preference which may work quite well the at 1/2 resolution the display 1440 height become 720  so the single column tools bar will just not fit on the display however it will fit in two column mode.  All icons, dialog, menu bars. Pallets etc will be scaled up ins size 2x each pixel is displayed using 4 pixels to double size what is displayed.   However the image area is not scaled to 1/2 resolution so when you view image actual pixels 100% zoom you see your image at your display high resolution.
Older companions displays were only 1920x1080 pixels  have a higher the 96ppi   but not a resolution as high as the newer model.  If the UI is to small for you you need to force Windows scaling you can have windows scale the display 1.25x or 1.5x Photoshop UI should fit however the image Photoshop displays will also be scaled by windows.  1.25 and 1.5 X are not even factor of resolution so some round artifacts.  Scaling the display also defeat high resolution yor effect have a lower resolution display.
2x UI is an even factor of resolution there is no rounding scaling  but requires a display with 2048 x 1536 for 2x makes the ui be 1024x768 and meets Photoshop required min display size.  The work will on 4K displays 3840x2160 becomes a UI the is 1K 1920x1080.
It was your choice to buy the display you did Wacom did not hide its size and number of pixels.  OS and Application had always run on displays the had a ppi around 96ppi. So every was programed  to work on 96 ppi displays.   When you reduce pixel size to cram in more detail into the same area you need to add pixels to UI components to display the the size the displayed on 96ppi displays.   OS and Applications were not designed with a feature like the.  The problem became evident is 2001 when IBM marketed the 204ppi 4k display its t220.  That display was very expensive so it was not widely used only used for special needs.  Only now are high resolution display affordable so now the problem is beeing addressed. But is will take time  OS and Applications will need updating.

  • Trying to decide best options for photoshop performance.

    Trade-offs ... System with ...
memory: 12GB DC DDR3 1600mhz (8+4 two total slots) + Intel HD Graphics                          OR
memory: 8GB (same as above) (4GBx2 with 4 slots) + NVIDIA GeForce GT 720 1GB?
processor same for both systems: 4th Generation Intel Core  i5-4460 (6M cache)

That's a tough one to call Jain.  Does the 12Gb system use on-board graphics, and if yes, how much memory is reserved for the graphics?  That's significant because some Photoshop features have a minimum GPU requirement
    https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/photoshop-cs6-gpu-faq.html
Photoshop will use all the CPU cores available, and sometimes all threads depending on the filter being used, but it also uses the GPU.  I guess I am leaning towards the 8Gb option with decent video card, but others might not agree.

  • No Scaling Options for my Dell WQHD Display

Why this online community actually for? this is run by apple??? Most of the questions not answered.
    My problem.
My Dell WQHD monitor connected using MDP to DP cable and works fine  but Two problems.
    1) I cannot scale things up just like my macbook pro do. only option to decrease resolution.
    2) cannot control Audio, no option to increase or decrease volume.

I have solved the problem by purchasing a Dell S2209W display. It is an HD monitor and seems to be working fine with no eye strain. Of course, it is not as nice as my 23" Apple display, but at $239 it is perfectly adequate for use as a second display. I still don't know why I had problems with the Samsung, but I am happy for now.

  • Option for Photoshop CS6 to Automatically Save a TIFF or Photoshop RAW?

I was wondering if there is setting so when you save a picture file, Photoshop will automatically save a copy of the the image in TIFF or RAW format to prevent the loss of picture quality when it is saved as as JPEG. I have one photo editing software that when I saw an open image for the first time, it automatically creates a digital native folder for me with the RAW or TIFF file in it. Can Photoshop do the same thing and if so, how please?  T hank you! Kirsten

What version of Camera Raw are you currently using? You need at least version 8.3 but the latest version is 9.
