15105: User uname requesting database creation is not the instance admin
Migrating from timesten 6.0.8 to 11.2 seems to have introduced restrictions on creation and destroying of datastores - now can only be done by the instance administrator - is this a hard restriction ? - is there anyway to allow anyone in the admin group to do this ? - we have a number of users within a development group that up until now have been able to run these commands, and now seems that need to use ssh script execution or similar which is more config/setup
There have been many, many functionality and behaviour changes between TimesTen 6.0.8 and 11.2.1. Some of these occurred in 7.0 and many more in 11.2.1. In general it is not trivial to upgrade from 6.0 (or 7.0) to 11.2.1. without considering the impact of these changes. I'd recommend that you carefully study the TimesTen 11.2.1 and 7.0 release notes and 'behaviorchanges.txt' documents to see details of everything that has changed. I have also summarised the changes in a whitepaper which i am happy to send you.
With regard to your specific question; no, it is not possible to override this behaviour. This change is part of the new security infrastructure in TimesTen 11.2.1.
regards,
Chris

Trying to import video"Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document"
When I try to import a video into Photoshop CS6 I get the error: "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document".
I have tried multiple formats with no luck.
I was able to improt it into Photoshop CS5 by dragging and dropping.
Im using Photoshop CS 6 64bit, have tried 32bit with no luck
If I try to drag and drop it, I get this error: could not place the document. Because no parser or file format can open the file.
I have tried opening a .mov, and a .avi file. I thought it might be a codec thing but why can cs5 open it but not cs6?
I noticed other posts with the same issue but they did not get resolved. Any help would be great.
Thanks,
JoshVurgano, Powelly 100, and izzysanime,
Has the issue been resloved?
If so, how was it resolved?
I see Yesughei and Powelly are on Win7.
Izzysanime, which Win OS are you using?
Vurgano, what platform/OS are you using?
We are still investigating this issue and would appreciate your assistance.
To rule out problems with the files you have, could you please verify the Photoshop CS5 sample file "CheeziPuffs.mov" will also not work? (program files\adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\samples)
Also would you please verify the following:
Virus/security/parental control software hasn't trapped parts of Photoshop, Bridge, Premiere, Lightroom, or any Adobe app using DynamicLinkMediaServer. (Make sure the Adobe apps are added as exceptions if needed.)
Ensure you have the latest version of QuickTime
Close all Adobe applications - wait more than 30 seconds, then launch Photoshop and try to open the file.
- If unsuccessful, view Task Manager/Processes to verify necessary processes started up when importing video (dynamiclinkmanager.exe, dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe and Adobe QT32 Server.exe)
- If unsuccessful, please capture the full error message text.
4. Close all Adobe apps, wait 30 seconds - launch Bridge and try to open the file.
If everyone is on Win 7, it makes me wonder about permissions...
Thanks,

Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document.
This problem has been re-occuring for a day now, and I honestly have no clue why, I followed the directions. I updated my camera raw plugin, and photoshop to the lastest version. I am trying to open an avi file but it won't open it. About 4 seconds long. Usually I could but yesterday when I tried opening it, it says "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document." Any suggestions because I'm trying to make gifs but I can't because photoshop won't let me open the avi. file.
Thanks, but I have a 64-bit pc, I do have photoshop cs5 64 and 32 bit but it's only avaiblable for 32 bit, i'll use it for now but if anyone has a solution for 64 bit photoshop it'd be great.

When I try to open a file in photoshop CS, Elements or Lightroom I get the message "Could not complete request because it is not the right kind of document" This just started happening today. The only thing I have done differently is change my file handling to raw + jpeg on my Nikon 7100.
I downloaded camera raw 8.7 and I am now able to open my raw and jpeg files. Thanks

I am trying to open a .tiff file in photoshop by using bridge and it opens it as a photo in windows. If I go to file<open it says could not complete request because it is not the right type of document. It is a file from a lesson folder from school. Can anyone help me?
Hi,
The D810 requires Camera Raw 8.6 or later - the latest version that is compatible with Photoshop Elements 12 is Camera Raw 8.5 as far as I can see.
You need to either buy a new version of Photoshop Elements or use the free Adobe DNG converter.
DNG Converter 8.8

Problems installing plug-ins to Photoshop CS5 Extended on a new Win7 64-bit laptop. (Same CS5 and plug-ins installed OK several years ago on a Vista laptop. Now I'm just trying to migrate everything over to the new laptop.) Even some Adobe updates won't install. Instead, a message box pops up on the CS5 screen saying "could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document." Any solution?
CS5's automatic update mechanism is broken, perhaps because it is no longer updated and can't cope with the newer ways of updating.
So this means you will have make a list of the updates that failed, go here: Product updates
and manually download/install from there.

"Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document" Why not?
When I attempt to open a Canon .CR2 image in CS3, I get the following error: "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document" What is the source for this problem?
What camera do you have?
Before you resign yourself to using the free DNG converter, which adds a step to the process each time you want to open raw files, you might want to double check to see if you have installed the latest Camera Raw update, and whether that version actually handles your camera.
Check your version by choosing Help - About Plug-in... - Camera Raw in Photoshop. 4.6 is the latest for Photoshop CS3.
Check the list of supported cameras in the ReadMe file for Camera Raw 4.6 (the latest version that will install with Photoshop CS3) here:
http://www.adobe.com/special/photoshop/camera_raw/Camera_Raw_4.6_ReadMe.pdf
At the root of all this is that every different camera makes a slightly different format .cr2 file, even though they're all named .cr2. If your camera was designed/released after the last update of Camera Raw for CS3 was made (i.e., when PS CS4 was first released), then it will not be supported by that version of Camera Raw. Adobe stops adding new camera support to each version of Photoshop when the next major release goes out. If you find yourself in this situation, then the DNG converter, as Silkrooster has said, is what you'll want to use.

Getting message: Cannot complete your request because it's not the right type of document
I am taking a CS6 Photoshop class, I downloaded the data files from cengagebrain.com, my task in the book is to click File on the Menu bar, then click Open, then navigate to the drive and folder where you store you Data Files. When I click the corresponding file (PS 1-1.psd), I get the following error message: Cannot complete your request because it's not the right type of document.
Can anyone help please?Good day!
Cannot complete your request because it's not the right type of document.
Are you sure the file has the correct suffix?
It might have been damaged in downloading, unstuffing, copying …, so if you are certain that the site is legit you may want to try re-downloading the file.

Master database archivelog but not the slaves...is this possible?
Hi,
I've followinf situation:
1xmaster database server oracle 9i
3xslave database servers oracle 9i
The databases on the slaves are exact copies of the master. The slaves are refreshed every night by a san-sync. The san-sync copies all the datafiles/redo logs and control files to the slave servers. On the master database DML is executed so all changes to the data are made on the master database, the slaves are static. All the databases are in no-archivelog mode.
Rigth now I don't have a backup of the master database and I would like to implement a hot rman backup.
questions:
can I just run the master database in archivelog mode without turning on archiving on the slaves? I guess this might be a problem because archiving is turned on at database level ('alter database archivelog'). What will happen when I sync the master database to the slaves when the master database is in archivelog mode and the slaves are not. Please note we don't sync spfile/pfile.
regards,
MartinHi,
Thanks for your reply.
My doubts are about the master database should be in archive log mode but the slaves don't, the slaves are copies of the master (datafiles, redologs and controlfiles) and the slaves are refresh every night.
Right now the master database is also in noarchivelog mode. What if I change the master to archivelog mode and would like to keep the slaves in noarchivelog mode.
Will the slaves also be in archivelog mode after a database refresh?
I would like to know this because if this is true i'll need to do some setting in the init.ora file like archivelog dest etc...
regards,
Martin -
Ive tried downloading the latest version but then always brings up CS4 and says not the right kind of document...? ive tried going to Updstes in help and says all updated but I have version 5.0.0.178 of Camera Raw
Adobe Camera Raw did not support the Canon 550D until version 6.1 for Photoshop CS5.
The best way if you do not wish to upgrade is to download the 8.7 DNG converter and convert your Canon 550d raw files to dng so that Photoshop CS4 can open them in your version of Camera Raw.
Where to get the DNG converter:
Camera Raw 8.7 and DNG Converter 8.7 Now available

However I did not see it at all in standby database. It has been 30 minutes.
I ran v$archive_log and v$archive_gap, nothing is pending.

List users of specific databases that are not using the default storage quotas
I have an Exchange 2010 SP3 DAG with 4 databases. I am trying to use powershell to find out, per database, which mailboxes are
not using the "mailbox database defaults", which is unlimited in this case (no quotas for Issue warning, Prohibit send, and Prohibit send and receive).
Something like "get-mailbox | where {$_.UseDatabaseQuotaDefaults -ne $true} will not work because I just want the data for specific databases".
I have also tried "get-mailbox -database nameofdatabase | where {$_.UseDatabaseQuotaDefaults -ne $true} | out-file c:\temp\nameofdatabase.tx" but it lists some users that show unlimited for all categories and others some that have limits on certain
other ones. In short, it is not correct.
HDLHi,
From your description, I would like to clarify the following thing:
Running the Get-Mailbox -Database MBX1 | Where-Object {$_.usedatabasequotadefaults -eq $false} cmdlet will list all mailboxes who have a custom storage quota. But it only displays the value of ProhibitSendQuota. You can check the values of other storage
quotas via EMC.
EMC -> Recipient Configuration -> Mailbox -> double click the mailbox -> Mailbox Settings -> Storage Quotas
Hope my clarification can be helpful to you.

CRM Release 12 service requests and creation of notes
Hi, is it possible to get an email notification for a service request (in CRM Release 12) that includes the Note texts?
Thanks very much, LouiseHi Oliver,
Don't know if I understand correctly the question, but if it helps, here's my opinion.
Normally, we create every call of a call list associated with a document... a contact/interaction record.
So, for your scenario, I would try to create 'complaint' as follow-up document of that contact.
Then the agent makes the call and:
- If the customer don't answer or don't want to complaint, just close the contact with the respective reason
- If want to answer and have a complaint, the agent create a follow-up document of complaint type, and fill with the respective information.
Hope that helps you a little more.
Kind regards,
Garcia -
