1601 AP LED Status

Please give me sanity check on the new 1601 AP. I have a client associated and authenticated to a 1601. This I can tell from the Wireless Lan Controller 5508 running 7.5 software. The LED on the AP is solid green and the documentation states that this is normal.
My question is: Why did Cisco change from Blue to Green? I expected the normal operating color to be solid blue, just like on the 1142 model.
Thank you in advance!

The reason is for cost savings.  The 1602 has parts that make these AP's affordable or should I say competive to other vendors equipment.  The LED light is one of those parts that has been changed and that is why you will not see the light change when there is an association or not.
Thanks,
Scott

  • My 1st gen apple tv displays a black screen, led status light is blinking orange constant. I have tried all the owners manuel tips but it appears to have locked up. Any advise?

my apple tv 1st generation appears to have locked up. it constantly now displays only a black screen. No function reset etc from remote use.The led status is constantly blinking orange. I have tried all the manual tips etc but still blank. Any ideas anyone?
    Gary.

Same/similar thing just happened to me....two days ago or so.  Ran fine for months since going from wifi (major problems) to ethernet now.
I hadn't been on atv 1 for a few days and had it powered down.  Turned it on and it ran thru the startup video/sequence then did the ole sit on a black screen where you can hear the remote responses (say, if i hit left on the remote - the 'option not available' doink noise is made instead of the usual sound you'd get if you were moving to the left on the menu.....not sure if that description makes sense?
The 'exit' or moving out of a menu 'noise' does sound, as does the enter/moving into a menu noise.
This has happened in the past, but more when i had it set up via wi fi.
Thing is this time i left it sit on the black screen while reading the paper, and after about 5 minutes, the menu screen finally showed up.  Everything was really sluggish to start - but it was there.  But, then, i reset it to see if the sluggishness would go away, and back to the black screen after the startup video.....and then 5 minutes later, it came up.
Not sure what is going on...but did have the blinking orange light for a while during the issue.
Don't think its an age thing as it did this even when i first purchased it....
Once into a video or music it runs fine (though i did notice that every once in a while with the music playing from my itunes, it would have a second of silence mid song like it paused for a second, and then would resume as if nothing happened.....
Any ideas whats shaking with this?  Does this sound similar to your issue or am i in a different ball park.

  • K9N2 SLI Platinum LED Status Lights

    System Info
    9950BE
    4x2 GB 1066 DDR2
    GTX 260
OCZ 600W Stealth X Stream PSU
I just purchased the MB, CPU, and Ram last week and have been reinstalling Vista the last couple days (had to do it a couple times due to my personal screwups).  I haven't had time to really test out stability and all of that, but 3D Mark Vantage runs fine, and any games I have briefly tested do well too.  I noticed, though, that the LED Status Lights are dancing around.
Group 4 - Flashing Between Red and Green
    Group 5 - Red
    Group 6 - Red
Group 7 - Flashing twice as fast between Red and Green than Group 4.
Does anyone know what this configuration of lights means?  It does it as soon as I turn on the system, and stays like this.  I can not find any info online to help me out, and the manual doesn't give info on "flashing" lights either.  I know my PSU isn't ideal, but since everything else I have done works, I'm wondering if it truly is the problem or not.
I just basically want to know if this is something I should be genuinely worried about?  And if I should, does it mean the board has a problem or another component?
    Thanks for your time!

I have lowered the memory down to 800, no difference.  I haven't done anything with the processor FSB and don't plan to (just spent a lot of money on this system and I'm not going to kill it now).
I'm beginning to think I just shouldn't worry about it.  I just got through the FEAR 2 demo on this PC with all visual settings maxed (Res 2048x1536, 4xAA) and it ran beautifully.
I am still going to run to Microcenter now and get a better PSU just to be safe, but at this point, I'm going to write it off as a bad status LED.  Of course, if anyone has any other ideas or worries, please pass them on.

  • Issue with K9N2 SLI Platinum LED Status Indicators?

I don't know if there is a problem or not with my K9N2 mb. When I turn my computer on the LED Status Indicators (LED 4-11) immediately show red, red, green green. It doesn't run through the usual initialization/tests that it would normally go through. However, my computer boots up just fine (using it right now). This combination of LED's says that there is a problem with initializing the IDE controller, but I don't have any IDE devices. So, I don't know if there is a problem or not, but I just don't want to ignore it either. It used to not do this, it would run through the initialization/tests normally. The only thing that I have done was upgrade the PSU from a Silverstone Zeus ST65ZF 650watt to a Ultra X4 1200watt. Any help or information would be appreciated, thanks.

Well, I guess that's nice to know.  As long as everything is working, I'll just ignore it. I was just wanting to be safe than sorry. Thanks.

  • Cisco MCS Server 7825 front side LED status..?

    Hi,
Please provide me the details of Cisco MCS server 7825 front side LED status. Because i our server one LED status showing AMBER. i know about the status of two led one is for HDD one is for Ethernet and please tell me about the third one.
    Regards,
    Deepak Sambyal

Steve - if the servers are showing blank screen on monitor connected to console, it appears they are not even initialising the POST process. It could be due to a faulty component - could be CPU, RAM, motherboard..anything....
Generally with this kind of issues,  you try to isolate faulty hardware, by rebooting without any component and see if it reaches POST. I would suggest open a case with TAC and I hope the servers have active maintenance.
On another note try changing the monitor cable etc. to rule out any issue with any cable or monitor (which i doubt would be the case) just to make sure and then try a reboot and see if you see anything on screen.

  • K9N SLI Platinum LED status "Processor is damaged"

    Hi everyone,
I made a search on this problem, but the posts I found did not help me this.
I just built a new system from scratch, and on first boot-up the system hangs and the LED status indicators 1-4 are all red. The manual says the CPU is damaged, which I don't really want to believe... I unboxed it last night with all the usual precautions, and I even took it out and put it back in again just to make sure, but it was fitted correctly the first time.
Now my question - can this be caused by any other component, or is the processor faulty for sure and I have to send it in?
    Thanks in advance!

Quote from: UltraFrog on 14-October-08, 16:31:01
Mwahahaha, never mind - after reviewing the manual once again, I realized I forgot to connect the JPW3 power connector that supplies the power to the CPU (found on page 2-8 of the manual).
Maybe this will help someone else anyway...
LoL.... at least u gain from mistake

  • Changing the cDAQ9138/9 "USER1" LED status using C#/DAQmx

I need to be able to change the status of the USER1 LED on a cDAQ9139 chassis from my VS2010 C# application code. Can anyone point me in the direction of the DAQmx class/property/method I need to use?
    Thanks,
    Malcolm Sharp

    Hi Malcolm,
Taking a look into this it looks like unfortunately the USER1 led is only available for access from the Real-time operating systems. There is no access to it available from the DAQmx driver, when running windows on the cdaq.

  • X200: LED Status lindicator light visible through seam?

    Hello.
When my laptop is closed I can see the light from the status indicators passing through the seam of the LCD bezel
connection on the back. The seam is the crack that runs along the back where the top and bottom of the LCD bezel
    are connected.
Is this the case on all X200's, or is my seam separating?
    Thanks.

I guess it's not peculiar to yours. I can also see the light through the seam on my X200.

  • Webcam 3100 - how to switch off LED status light?

Hi All - need your help.... trying to shut down the LED staus light on HP Webcam 3100. Instructions show to go into Arcsoft Magic-I visual effects tool in Webcam Setting to uncheck LED but cannot uncheck this - any suggestions?

Technically the MBA's camera is called its "FaceTime" camera. The "iSight" name was dropped some years ago and now refers only to the iPhone's rear camera, and I'm assuming you are not referring to the external, FireWire iSight camera or its LED.
For privacy concerns Apple decided to make software control of the FaceTime camera's LED impossible. If the LED is off, so is the camera.
Stick tape over the LED as Klaus1 wrote. There is no other way to disable it, without physically disassembling the camera, potentially destroying it in the process.

  • Table control data update with LED status progress

    Hi Friends,
I've a requirement for my project....
But i am not clear of how to implement that.
The main.vi will extract the data from an Excel sheet using all excel.llb and show the data in table  control.
At the back end i'll be keep on reading data from the worksheet 1 of the excel sheet.
so my intention is something like this
whenever it reads the 1st row  of data the LED should blink at the first row and it proceed down as per the for loop
And should continue up to the end.
If anybody have worked out with the Table control and Excel sheet VI's please help.
    Your help would be appreciated.
Will attach the VI on request.
    Cheers,
    Suneel.V

    Hi Mike,
    Thanks for your prompt response.
    Attached are the VI's.
The main VI is Excel_Tablecontrol.vi and the sub vi is excel_read.vi
In the main VI select any excel sheet from your PC and it will extract the first sheet data in it.
But in my real project i will be reading line by line.
Could you please make me clear how should i put an indicator whcih would go line by line.
    Cheers,
    Suneel.V

  • 3500Xl GBIC slot LED status

    Hello Cisco expert,
Recently we have implemented gigastack on 3 3500XL in a cascaded and redundant format. However the LED on the middle switch Gbic slot(not on gigastack Gbic) showing Amber color. I am not sure if there is anything wrong with this symptom , but teh switch seems working fine at this stage.
Please advise if this is normal when configured gigastack cascaded and redundant link.
    Thanks
    Edmond

    Per Product Overview:
    Solid amber
Port is not forwarding. Port was disabled by management or an address violation or was blocked by Spanning Tree Protocol (STP).
Note After a port is reconfigured, the port LED can remain amber for up to 30 seconds as STP checks the switch for possible loops.
