  • Which E series routers support the Wireless_Advanced.asp hidden page?

I know the E2500 and the E4200 support the http://192.168.1.1/Wireless_Advanced.asp settings but what other E series routers support this hidden page where you can set Beacon Interval, RTS and Fragmentation thresholds?

I own the E3000 v1 and it has this feature so I presume that the E1000 & E2000 have this feature. You say that E2500 & the E4200 have the feature.  I presume that the E1200 v1 to E4200 v1 have the feature while E1200 v2 to E4200 do not have the feature. See new userguide for E1200 to E4200.

  • Does the UCS C-Series Servers supports PCI/e card digium T1/E1

    Hello,
    Does the UCS C-Series Servers supports/compatible with PCI/e card digium  TE407P/TE420 T1/E1.?
The server will be used as Asterisk server.
    Thanks
    Philip

    Hi Philip,
Compatibility will depend on the server model that you have and whether the digium card is a full length, low profile, or half length pcie card.  Take a look at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps10493/prod_models_comparison.html#~tab-a for details.  If there are any issues with the card itself once it is installed it will have to go through the 3rd party manufacturer.

  • Does the SONY VAIO F Series SVF15412CXB support dual channel memory?

Does the SONY VAIO F Series SVF15412CXB support dual channel memory?  Or does it only have one slot?
I'm curious if I can put a second stick of RAM in there for dual channel performance.

Hi Mark, Thanks for the response.  Can you please double check that for me, or post a link to the documentation where you saw that?  I asked this question on Newegg, too, and one of the respondants heard differently:
"i found out from sony that there is only 1 slot cause i was gonna get 1 more 4GB stick of ram for 8Gb. So iwas upset about that cause i have to get 8GB now and it costs 100$ for an 8Gb stick of ram on ebay. So this ram is expensive. So im sticking with 4Gb for now. This is a very good laptop though. I use it primarily for minecarft and steam and i get around 100 fps on minecraft so its good. I hope this helps." It's just confusing because other laptop advertisments I've seen openly stated how many RAM slots the computer had and how many were used upon purchase.  I haven't found anything like that which makes me think that there's only one slot for RAM. Thanks,Gremark

  • IOS 4.3.5 update failed (persistent error 1602) - Apple's Support steps don't work

    Hi guys,
So I seem to be having very bad luck with my iPod Touch, 4th Gen. What happened this time is pretty much what happened when I tried to update to 4.3.4, as described in this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3179905
So I got an error 1602 this time, I followed all the steps you find in the apple support page (ie, unninstalling and reinstalling everything in a particular order), only to have my iPod bricked once again. The computer doesn't recognize it at all, iTunes doesn't either. Entering DFU mode does nothing.
Last time, the solution was to connect my iPod to a friend's computer, and it restored it, then it worked again on my computer. But I'm not willing to keep asking that friend to use her computer just to restore my iPod after every iOS update, that's just unreasonable.
I'm hoping someone can help me find the better solution this time, so here are my logs:

  • R-Series AMD support?

The AMD Radeon HD 7770 graphics card that came with the system is going bad, so I thought rather than just replacing it with a new one I would upgrade to an R9 270X from XFX.  The 600W power supply that came on the PC can handle it, and the 2nd 6-pin PCIe connector is there (the 7770 needed 1, the R9 270X needs 2).  After pulling the old card and installing the new one, however, no joy.
The fans spin up on the R9 270X, the power for which apparently comes from the PCIe slot (according to XFX), but the monitor does not see any signal.  I tried both DVI and HDMI connections.  Same thing, no signal.  Forcing the monitor to scan has it finding no connection.  When I unplug the DVI or HDMI cable the monitor notes the cable is unplugged, however.  In addition, the beeps that should signal POST on the card when you power on the PC don't occur, so it is as if the system does not see the card as present.
I don't think the card is DOA, so I am guessing there might be some BIOS setting or update required.  Does anyone know if the R-Series AMD GPUs are supported on the h9-1185 Phoenix boxes?  Has anyone successfully installed one on any HP desktop?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Xpress Music Series & FLAC Support?

I would like to know if Nokia has considered making the Xpress Music Series support FLAC?
I personally own a 5310 and would love to see FLAC support for these phones as well as the other Xpress Music Series.
What are the possibilites here with this?
    THANKS

    @jjegan and Nokia
    1) FLAC is not an obscure format except on phones, because it is FREE and not licensed
    2) Licensed codecs increase the resale cost of phones as OEMs like Nokia have to cover licensing costs
    3) Perceptual codecs like AAC+ are not perfect. They are ideal for filesize and for the majority of the populous who do not own high-end hifi systems to know what quality of sound is achievable with the right components and DAC chips
    4) FLAC is very lightweight processing-wise and easy to implement (small code footprint). It is a mathematically optimized lossless compression of WAV audio and as such, the ideal format that home users who don't trade on quality wish to archive their CDs in. MP3 is lossy and people with suitable systems can hear those losses. Those asking for FLAC on a phone will probably not be using the standard supplied headphones, but high-end after-market ones such as Etymotic ER-4P, which offer studio quality sound.
The only drawback to FLAC is the larger file size. But those seriously in to music are limited by the inbuilt memory or flash-card memory sizes provided with phones at initial point of sale, such that they opt to purchase 32Gb or larger memory cards to install in such phones and thus the storage footprint of FLAC files becomes a non-issue - these people prefer quality over convenience and business-driven culture that aims to tailor a corporate device and tell the consumer market it wants it, rather than listen to the market and provide what is being requested. In this case, there is a huge base asking for FLAC that is persistently ignored. In high-end audio, companies such as Linn, Naim and professional studio companies like Bryston are supplying FLAC compatibility with their DACs (digital to anlaog convertors) because the demand exists for the discerning audio customer. These persons are also the market for FLAC on phones. FLAC is here to stay and it is high-end and it is free. Companies just need to wake up and smell the coffee of demand that exists for it. Demand does exist and it isn't going away and Nokia also have to wake up to this fact.
Perceptual codecs like AAC+ fool the majority of users in to being unable to hear a difference. However, there is a growing body of research to suggest artefacts from such codecs which are hidden in louder music passages (an effect known as "perceptual masking"), may in fact be heard by many people who find the sound 'grating' and annoying. These people also are likely to demand FLAC.
Trying to pass of AAC+ to people demanding FLAC is like trying to pass off a quick-fry steak and telling people it tastes just like fillet steak. It doesn't, fillet is the best steak (IMO). And similarly, FLAC is the best, cheapest and easiest to implement format for lossless encoding of WAV files and Nokia cannot be bothered because the majority of non-discerning convenience-cultured quality-sacrificing others keep telling people to accept a lesser quality.
I for one, don't compromise. If it's between Sony Ericsson with a FLAC phone and Nokia without one, I will opt for the Sony - any compromise will be made by moving away from the company refusing to listen to customer demand or acknowledge a ready-and-waiting customer market.
And @jjegan, a chip already exists for the mobile market that will decode FLAC as well as MP3s, AAC and a whole myriad of other formats like Ogg Vorbis. It does NOT increase the size of the resultant phone. Go over to www.diyaudio.com and you can find many people who have modified devices to play FLAC without increasing size.

    Hi,
Your laptop supports SATA 3.0 (SATA II) connection so the 500GB hybrid should be fine. You may also use the other one but it will work only at SATA II (3Gbps) speed (like a SATA II hdd)..

    Hi,
the console port indeed does not support RS232 modem control (data set ready/Data Carrier Detect (DSR/DCD), data terminal ready (DTR)). However, you cannot change the settings on the console port. You need to configure your modem to to ignore DTR and assert autoanswer. The associated Hayes-compatible commands are AT&D0 and ATS0=1, respectively.
