1610 printing stays on the screen but nothing is coming out

My PSC 1610c had what I believe was a power surge yesterday. The screen runs and says"used black ink cart installed, press ok. Use dtri-color ink cart installed, plress OK" I did that and it seemed find, until I clicked on print to print a document.
The green light next to the ON button is flashing and so is the exclamatino point. Iin addition the screeen says printing, but it isn't. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software and this still happens. The only way to shut it off is too unplug my printer, and then I also lose my que.
Help anyone?

My 1610 just started doing pretty much the same thing. I set my lap top on it and a button or button's were pressed, everything was perfect until then. Have set it back to factory defaults, nothing helps keep getting "error printing". After stutting down & powering up I get an error message on the printer display
"no tech mode". I'd reinstall the HP software if only I could find the CD.

There is no installed OS or you have a dead hard drive. Start by booting from the original installer disc that came with the computer or an installer disc that has a later version than the original such as a Snow Leopard DVD. Then you can do this:
Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X. Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files. After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.

Tried to restore my iPod touch, it now shows the 'connect to itunes' graphic on the screen but nothing happens when I do

I basically restored my iPod to start my music collection from scratch because I got a new PC.
I plugged the 32gb iPod touch into my PC and the USB connection sound went on to indicate that it is connected to the PC but the 'Connect To iTunes' graphic is on, even when it is connected to the PC and iTunes is open it doesn't show any devices connected. After a while the iPod shuts itself off, and when I turn it on again the same thing happens. Graphic. Not found in iTunes. Turns off. I think but I can't remember if I updated the iPod's operating system prior to the restore (this all happened 2 weeks ago).
I'm not sure of the model/generation of the iPod. I got it brand new for Christmas of 2009 in Australia.
Any help would be appreciated!

On inserting an address it flashes on the screen but nothing happens

We are running Panda anti virus on the PC. Untilthis morning we have experienced no problem using Firefox. Now we enter an address and nothing happens. We do not get an error message. It is almost as if firefox can not get out. If we use Internet Explorer we have no problem. We can not access the Help function.
We are now getting the following screen popping up:

We can't even respond to the e-mail to confirm the account you have just created.

hello allen, there are a few issues...
* you're using an outdated version of firefox - please go to getfirefox.com, download the current version (firefox 18.0.1) & install it on top of your current installation
* the "Do you want the following propgram to make changes to this computer?" is often caused by [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware|malware]]. please go to firefox > addons > extensions & remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, don't know what purpose they serve, etc). also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and do a full scan of your system with the security software that you have in place and/or a different tool like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes].
* alternatively you can also try to [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems|reset firefox]] ...
* some of your plugins are vulnerable - please keep them updated too: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/

Does your device have a full charge? Often if you give it a full charge, that will fix the problem
If that doesn't work, plug it into itunes and run any updates that may be available.

My HP Deskjet 3050A J611 series wont print, says its printing on the screen, but does nothing.

This sounds like it may be a firmware problem. The first thing to do is check to see if there are any available firmware update. I'll include a link to those instructions below. Next, make sure the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet. Plugging the printer into a surge protector, power strip, or power backup can cause it to become under powered resulting in strange problems like this one. If the firmware is up to date and plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet doesn't help, follow the steps in the document below. If that doesn't help, you will need to replace the printer. Hope this helps.

IIf the battery was completely drained it might take some time before the phone will respond. Wait at least 30 minutes with the phone connected to the charger. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. If the phone starts up let it continue to charge until it's 100%.
if the broken button will not let you do the reset Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with your iPhone. I also apologize, I'm a bit unclear what issues you were having that led up to the attempted Erase All, and/or exactly what behavior you are seeing now (restarting, not responding at all, etc). If you are seeing an Apple Logo screen and your iPhone does not appear to be starting correctly, you may find the following articles helpful:

- Charge the iPod for half an hour. Then reset the iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- if still not working, connect to your computer. If iTunes sees the iPod, restore the iPod.
- If still problem, place the iPod in recovery mode and then try to restore the iPod. For recovery mod see:

Printing fax page 1 stays on the screen

Printing fax page 1 message stays on the printer - even if I shut it off or unplug it and turn it back on. When shut off and turned back on, it prints the same page 1 again.
I can't figure out how to erase this message.

I see that you are experiencing issues with the fax message staying on the printer, even when you disconnect the power it will stay on the screen and print out the fax again. I would like to help you out today.
Try a hard reset, if this is different from what you have already tried.
Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.

If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.
