16x9 Material from Old Sequence Pasted Into New Sequence Is Letterboxed

I'm trying to paste a series of edited (and some nested) clips from a 1440x1080 23.98fps sequence into a new blank sequence with the same settings. But the canvas is now a 4x3 image, the material is letterboxed and a few non-nested scenes are squeezed or out of sync. What am I doing wrong?

Anamorphic does not help. The sequence is a mix of clips. Apparently the ones I have nested are fine. The ones I did not are squeezed. So it's a mixed bag. I may use a workaround where I dupe the original sequence and delete everything but what I need. That way no change.

I doubt they will. But then I'm not sure as I used a migration program once about 18 years ago and totally FUBARed the system I had at that time and I've never used one again.
For me the reason to have a new system is to start fresh. Installing only program that I now use and manually copying data over from the older system.
Not sure your older version of Outlook, and the outlook mail boxes, are compatible with Office/Outlook for Mac 2011.

These are two possible approaches that should work to move the existing library to the new laptop.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase are reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your library or a backup of it then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

How do I migrate my albums from old mac to my new macbook? The photos are already migrated, but I've lost all the old groupings in the albums and I don't want to manually re-group the thousands of photos!!!

I was using version 6.0.6 of iPhoto.
My issue is that I already have sorted the photos into Albums - about 50 of them. And now on my new computer I can't see any of the albums I had sorted them into, and I don't want to have to recreate all those Albums! That was one of the primary reasons I stuck with Apple when I upgraded. Had I known it wouldn't bring the albums over, I probably wouldn't have bought another apple.
Is there any way to get all the work I've already done in organising my photos onto my new computer? Thanks for your help.

What's the best way to transfer files from old Macbook Pro to new one? I know Migration assistant, but is there a recommended way? I don't want to put do a system restore or transfer everything from the old laptop, but I do want to move important things like photos, music, documents and such over. Any suggestions on best way to do this?
Another question, perhaps subquestion. If I have, say, an older version of iPhoto but a newer version of one on my new Macbook Pro, will it still transfer photos no problem?
Just looking for hints from the experts so this puppy is set up in the best way possible.

the problems are ALWAYS in the reverse way, when you have the newest (or a newer) version of a given app, and wish to transfer its library to an older version.

I have been using Martin Jahn’s iBackup, with which I have become accustomed and works fine. It also makes daily backups. Its advantage over other apps is that you may add whatever you wish to save, beside its default settings (which you may delete or cancel, of course, even if not recommended); it also has a friendly interface and easily customizable. Of course, this is a personal view, you may try other methods as well, or other backup apps. All are good if you are satisfied and correspond to your needs.

Could you please specify how exactly did you transfer Acrobat from one MAC to other.
You might need to deactivate the software from your old machine and then activate it on the new one with the same serial number (for Acrobat license) or Adobe credentials (for Acrobat subscription).
If you have done the same way, then let me know if you are able to open Acrobat itself.
Do you get any specific error message while opening a PDF?

I am trying to get my old library onto my new computer and the best way for me to do that is take them off of my I Phone 3gs and "transfer purchases" but when I try it the "authorize this computer " shows up and it is already authorized! Assuming that you've been syncing your iPhone 3 to your computer/iTunes, plug it in one last time and let it backup. Then plug in your 4S, and when 'setting up phone' choose the latest backup.
