17 Hrs and still no activation, should I reset my iPhone?

What do you guys think?
I just read on another thread that if you were a verizon customer and entered a dash with your account number, this may be the issue.
Do you think I should reset the activation process / phone? If so, how do I do this?

I am a verizon customer, I only have 1 sim card for the iPhone. I have already taken it out and put it back in, powered the phone on / off at least 50 times.

delete your mail account and add again your own then try. if it doesnt work reset the phone and start as an new phone

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

How long does it take to back up your iPhone it's been 6 hrs and still going!!!!!

It's been 6 hrs and my iCloud is still syncing ..I don't think this is normal!!!

Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

30 hours and still no activation

Try and activated over wifi and 3g, i get the message "This iPhone is not recognized and cannot be activated for service. Please visit your nearest Apple store for more information" The biggest problem is that I am atleast 6 Hours from any Apple store. There is not a store in my state!!!!! ok, my girlfriend brought hers over and we had it activated in no time, i popped my sim card in her phone and boom, worked perfectly in her 4s, so this has to now be an apple issue!!!!!

Photos/videos in the Camera Roll are included with the backup for the device. Were you backing up your iPhone wirelessly via wi-fi with your iCloud account, or were you backing up your iPhone on your computer via the iTunes sync process?
If included with your iPhone's backup with iCloud, you can transfer the backup to a new iPhone or iOS device. There is no direct access to the iCloud backup for an iOS device. There is direct access to the backup stored on your computer via the iTunes sync process, but the PC is dead.

Arrrgh, two hours and still "Completing Activation"...

The subject pretty well says it all, got the iPhone 4 this afternoon and
after starting the Activation process it has been sitting there with
"Transfer of you existing phone number is in progress"
for at least 2 hours.
Should I unplug and try again?

try rebooting the phone. mine was stuck on " completing activation" for a little bit and then i unplugged and rebooted. it was activated once i turned the phone back on. good luck!

Okay, there's the clue.
Don't try to do things the same way you did on the Samsung, learn instead how to do it with iTunes/iPhone.
I assume the songs in your iTunes Library have a tick-in-the-box to the left of each song title? (They should).
I assume also, that the songs have their titles etc listed.
Connect the iPhone to your computer and wait for it to show up in your iTunes.
On the left hand side window, look for Device.
Select Device and look on the Summary pane. There should be a box named Sync Music, does it have a tick-in-the-box? Once again, it should.
By the time you get to look at that, the Sync process will be under way, so if you have to change the tick-box setting on the Summary pane, you will need to wait for the first Sync to finish and then press the Sync button to make the change take effect.
Once the Sync has completed, use the eject button (next to the Device) to disconnect the iPhone.
On the iPhone, look in the Music section, is your music there?
